I was at Port Island in Hamburg and I'm absolutely thrilled. The cheese pool was simply insanely good – really juicy, incredibly flavorful, and the combination of meat, cheese, and sauce was just perfectly balanced. The bacon burger was also really strong – nicely spicy, slightly smoky, just exactly how you like it. The chicken burger, which had been marinated for 24 hours beforehand – that was a real explosion of flavor. The meat was super tender, incredibly flavorful, and you could really tell how much effort had gone into it. The sauces? Really delicious. The marinades? Perfect. And everything was just super fresh and made with love. And finally, the French toast – guys, that was the perfect ending. Sweet, soft, slightly crispy on the outside… simply a dream. I'll definitely be back – you don't find something like that very often!

We were on a food tour in Hamburg from Bremen and stumbled upon Port Island – and what can we say: we absolutely recommend it! The cheeseburger with the cheese pool was something truly amazing – a real explosion of flavor. If you like cheesy highlights, you'll definitely get your money's worth here: juicy, intense, and crammed with cheese. Funnily enough, we also ran into Abdelkader there again – a waiter we already knew from another restaurant. Super friendly, attentive, and always with a joke on his lips. Great guy! A truly successful stop on our tour – we'll definitely be back! 🍔🧀🔥

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience – disappointing both in terms of food and health. Four of us ate at Port Island yesterday. The menu selection sounded promising, and we opted for three different versions of fried chicken for starters. For main courses, we had the Cheesepool Burger, Chili Cheese, and Cheesy Bacon. The food tasted okay, but unfortunately, all of us struggled with nausea and stomach aches afterward – which is especially worrying with poultry. The night was therefore anything but pleasant. The service was friendly, but basic necessities were missing: no napkins, no additional cutlery, or small plates for the appetizers, and the dips we ordered didn't arrive with the dishes they were supposed to be with. It's a shame, we were looking forward to a pleasant evening, but were unfortunately disappointed – both in the process and the aftermath.

I recently visited the Port Island Burger Shop in Wilhelmsburg and was completely impressed! The shop has a relaxed, modern atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The burger was simply amazing – juicy, well-seasoned, and grilled to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was fluffy yet sturdy, and the sauces gave the whole thing that special something. The side dishes were also delicious and lovingly prepared. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. The team was friendly and attentive, and I would definitely be happy to return. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a really good burger in Wilhelmsburg!

I've never been here before, but I'll change that, even though I live north of the Elbe. Super friendly service! Even though it was busy, it was fast and flexible, and with a nice atmosphere. We had burgers, onion rings, and fries. All very good and very reasonably priced. 6 stars would be justified.

Very nice place with a very friendly atmosphere. The menu is straightforward. I was recommended the onion burger. The burger was quite good, but not my absolute favorite ☺️ The fries were very well done, cut into spoon shapes, with a bit of green for color. 👍 A bit more crispiness on the surface would have been nice. The espresso was aromatic and tasty 🙏 All in all, for €20, it's not cheap, but it's good value for money. Thanks and see you next time 🙏 😉

Stumbling upon such a great place on a spontaneous visit to Hamburg was truly a stroke of luck. We couldn't decide, so we ordered half the menu and didn't regret anything. I love fried chicken, and this one was 😙👌🏼Absolutely recommend it.

We ordered from Port Island for the first time today and are absolutely thrilled. The burgers were amazing, super juicy and simply delicious. I usually have trouble eating burgers because every time you bite into them, everything falls out the bottom. But they've done a really great job here. The burger is in a little pocket like you get with a kebab. Nothing falls out. The fries are also incredibly tasty and juicy. They look homemade, not like "Mac Donalds fries." I even wrote a review on Lieferando, but since there's apparently limited space, unfortunately only half of them fit in. So if you want burgers and the like, order from Port Island. We'll go to the restaurant sometime; it's always interesting to see where it comes from. We're already looking forward to our visit. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I go there every two weeks; the burgers are really good, and the wings are great too! I can only recommend it.

Customer-oriented, superbly first-class. You can immediately taste that it's freshly prepared. The best part is that they make cocktails to my liking.

Really great food & atmosphere! I spontaneously stopped by this restaurant and was absolutely thrilled. The mac and cheese was perfectly creamy and beautifully baked – just the way you'd want it. The crispy chicken with sauce was a real highlight, super spicy and juicy. It was accompanied by golden-brown fries with spices and a super-delicious coleslaw. Everything was lovingly prepared, and sitting outside was just perfect in this weather. The service was friendly and attentive – everything is just right here. I'll definitely be back!

A change of ownership has rarely done a restaurant so well. We ordered the double smash and the sweet onion burger, as well as Nashville chicken and a few sides. It was all mega delicious

Port Island in Wilhelmsburg – burgers with an oriental twist At first glance, Port Island looks more like a cozy bar where you can chill out with a drink on the outdoor terrace. But it also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. We opted for burgers – the Chili Cheeseburger for €11 and the BBQ Bacon Burger for €11.5, plus fries (€4) and Fritz Kola (€3.5). The beef burger patty was excellently grilled and tasted great. The spices gave it a more oriental touch, which was unusual but very tasty. The sauces were used a little more sparingly, which brought out the flavor of the patty well. The fries were good, but not hot when they were served. The service was rather leisurely, but this went well with the overall impression in this atmosphere. Conclusion: Despite minor weaknesses in the fries and the service – we will definitely be back!

Delicious burger and friendly service!

The ambience of the burger shop is modern and at the same time cozy, which invites you to linger. The taste of the burgers was okay, but they lacked that certain something that made them stand out from the crowd. In addition, the consistency left a lot to be desired - the bun seemed soggy and unappealing. The service was extremely friendly, but not particularly attentive. Clearing away took place with a significant delay, and both napkins and cutlery were added late. Overall, the visit leaves a mixed impression: solid to good, but with clearly visible potential for improvement.

Visited here for the first time today. Nice atmosphere, nice service & very tasty food. No long waiting times or anything else. If we visit Hamburg again, this is the first point of contact! Keep it up, best regards from Dresden 👍🏼

The burger at Cheesepool tasted delicious. The service was friendly, but unfortunately alone and therefore visibly overwhelmed, which led to longer waiting times. It was also quite cold inside, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable. With better organization and a more pleasant room climate, the visit would have been a complete success.

I would like to give an honest review. I'm here quite often. The staff is just great. It's a real pleasure to know that people here treat each other well and create a great atmosphere. Today I was there again, this time with a visitor from Switzerland and the vegan burger really impressed us! My personal favorite remains the Sweet Onion Burger, which I prefer to order with a normal patty instead of the vegan patty. Plus the unbeatable combination of sweet potato fries and truffle mayo dip. I'm really not exaggerating, but every time I'm here it tastes even better than the last time. Port Island stands out noticeably from other burger shops, even though each shop and taste is of course individual. If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely do so. Thanks to the whole team for your effort! 🤍

I find it extremely sad that if you order citizens there is never the cheese sauce but if you go there you get that!!! Last week I wanted to place an order for €300 but when I saw that no cheese sauce was available, I ordered somewhere else. Just don't think it's correct!!!

Ate there for the first time today and it was simply top notch! After we have often had something delivered from Port Island and the burgers are by far the best burgers you can get here on the island, even when delivered, we had the pleasure of getting to know the shop in Live this evening and we were as expected, not disappointed. The location is spacious, but not too big and cozy and modern. The service was very good and very friendly, although there wasn't much going on. The food was really great. As already described, the burgers delivered are already great, but fresh from the kitchen they go up a notch. Simply very well balanced, fresh and juicy burgers. Every burger lover will agree. We were very pleased that the on-site menu was being expanded in a meaningful way, as not every dish is suitable for delivery if good quality is the top priority. For example, the Friedchicken selection (Garlic Parmesan Friedchicken can be seen in one picture). The taste was different and delicious. I haven't had such an awesome combination in a long time. Although I would have liked it to be a little more thorough (a matter of taste), I think I would just give a quick hint next time. All in all great and also absolutely within the price range. For a burger, fried chicken, fries + dip and a drink it ended up being 30 thalers. We'll definitely be back. Keep it up 👍👍👍

Burgers and fried chicken were really tasty and the portion size was good, unfortunately the drinks were a bit small but the service was really nice. Unfortunately, the order was mixed up once, and the same thing happened at a table next to us, but that can happen. Nice ambience, not too loud and plenty of seating. I think it's a real shame that there is no good transport option to reach the store (no subway or S-Bahn line), but the store can't do anything about it.

We were lucky to get a seat for two and were well served with a bit of a wait. The burgers were good, solid quality, not the largest portions. All in all, I don't find the price/performance ratio convincing, but everyone can decide for themselves.

The positive reviews speak for themselves and I agree. My highlight was the Pool Cheese Burger (a burger in two halves, "floating" in cheese sauce). Really tasty, juicy and a really filling portion. Also priced very fairly at €12.50. The sweet potato fries with chilli mayo and the homemade lotus shake were also very tasty. The French toast for dessert, however, was the winner. 12/10 I can't say anything more about it. Delicious, absolutely recommended! Unfortunately, unfortunately I'm not from Hamburg. Port Island in Wilhelmsburg is definitely on the agenda for the next visit. If you're in the mood for burgers and the like, go for it! 👍

I'll always eat there again, the music isn't too loud, the food is delicious, the drinks are good and it's super inexpensive! The only thing to complain about was that the floor was super sticky, with every step you stuck. Still, it was really good.

First of all, about the ambience: The location is really very nice and it's something different. The staff was also very friendly. Now for the food: I had a double smash burger. I have to say I thought everything was great, only the patty wasn't smashed properly in my opinion. I would have liked it to be at least a little more flattened. I wasn't 100% convinced by the taste of the meat or the seasoning, but it was still good and the price-performance ratio was right. By the way, the fries were really tasty. Next time I want to try one of the desserts, they are supposed to be very good.

The food itself tasted quite good and a bonus is of course that it is Helal, although my friends and I all had stomach problems the next day.

Now it's time to wait again. There wasn't a single guest to serve and simply no one paid us. 20 minutes later we got up and paid at the counter. Unfortunately there wasn't much tip left.

Nice location, great music, service deserves 0 points. Man could just leave. We sat outside for 1.5 hours, no one cared whether the food was tasty, whether we wanted to drink something, whether we wanted to pay. The store wasn't full. Waiter always walked in the other direction. Food wasn't a big hit either. A pity.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting PORT Island and loved it! The service was absolutely first class. The staff was not only friendly, but also very attentive and accommodating. You feel welcome and valued from the first moment. The food was simply yummy! Every dish was freshly prepared and excellently seasoned. Another plus point is the quick preparation time. Despite the good quality of the dishes, we didn't have to wait long, which was particularly pleasant. The prices are very fair and appropriate for the quality offered. The facility is simply fantastic. The ambience is stylish and cozy at the same time, making the visit an entirely pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the noise level was a bit high, making it difficult to have a conversation. Overall, we can only warmly recommend PORT Island. It is the perfect place for a cozy dinner or a meeting with friends. We will definitely come back!

Had food delivered, it took forever (approx. 90 minutes) for two burgers... But they were really tasty. I didn't get any information that the order was delayed. The price is definitely too high

One of the best places for a burger south of the Elbe. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The food was cooked in a reasonable amount of time (even if it was less busy) and you can tell that everything was prepared very carefully. And the quality of the burgers, fried chicken, fries, etc. at a fair price ratio is also impressive. We will come back a few more times.

We quickly ordered via chat from a musical during the break. Super Service! Since our Uber subsequently moved us, we agreed on a new pick-up time (also via chat). Nice reception by a young man who quickly found us a table. After a short time he came down and asked if we were ready to order or if we needed more time. We were ready....after he took our order it wasn't long before our drinks arrived and shortly after that food was ready and served. It tasted heavenly. We got a Cheasy Bacon burger with fries and a Fried Chicken burger with fries. In addition bottled Still water and a Fritz cola. There was a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. The staff is friendly and very quick. The taste is very good. The quantities are decent and you can't complain about the price. We can highly recommend the cheeseburger in the cheese bath. The chicken variations are also very good. The only point of criticism is that the opening times are very unusual. Eating lunch is therefore hardly possible. Still happy to come back.
