Poppins in Minden

We spontaneously decided to visit for the first time during the day with four children and four adults. Luckily, we were able to get a table. We enjoyed very well-seasoned burgers (the Greek Style and Zampano = Italian were delicious) and equally good drinks, such as the Detox Line water with ginger slices, lime, and mint. Everything was clearly freshly prepared. The service was also very friendly. And in our opinion, the prices were reasonable for what we received. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

We spontaneously decided to eat here as a family. We were very impressed with the food, the selection, the service, and the prices. The atmosphere is wonderful and lovingly designed. We can wholeheartedly recommend Poppins.

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food

Good food in an authentic atmosphere. Four of us were there, arrived without a reservation, and just about managed to get a table in the early evening. Next time, I'll make a reservation just to be safe. There was something for every taste, including vegetarian and vegan options. The service was impeccable. The prices are moderate and reasonable.

Your restaurant should be something great, but in my opinion, you should first make sure that the quality of the products you use is right. You can charge 8.95 for a bottle of mineral water, but then everything should be just right.

Poppins in Minden is highly recommended. A stable chain restaurant with friendly and attentive service. The dedicated team creates a pleasant atmosphere. A beautiful location with fair prices – we'd gladly return!

Unfortunately, you really have to be careful with the drinks and the quantities listed here. If you order a 0.4L Pfanner iced tea, you'll get an unmarked glass containing less than 0.33 liters. I specifically tested this with a second 0.33-liter drink and the same glass. However, the iced tea costs more than the 0.33-liter drinks, and you end up getting even less than with those.

Good burgers (including some vegetarian ones), the homemade lemonade is also great, there are several wines and beers to choose from, and of course, desserts. In the summer, it's quite nice to sit outside here.

I've been there several times. The atmosphere is more like a student bar, relatively loud and hectic, but that's exactly what makes the restaurant special. The food is good, and the service is very friendly.

I visited this beautifully decorated restaurant last night. I was greeted very warmly and with a smile, and was able to choose a comfortable seat. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to my needs. She asked me periodically if I had any other requests or if I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for this attentive service. I felt very comfortable during my visit. The food was very tasty, the portions were adequate, and the price was right.

We've been to the restaurant two days in a row with my husband. We were already impressed by the food on Wednesday. We received such warm and, above all, quick service, and were treated to delicious burgers 🍔🤤 in the evening, that we simply had to try something else the following day 😎 The waitress was great, friendly, and attentive—now that's what I call SERVICE. The ambiance was nice and smart! The music was a bit too loud, but definitely cool for the young crowd. 😛 We'll definitely be back!!! Again.

I went to Poppins for the first time with a good friend – and after just a few seconds, we were greeted very warmly by a nice, extremely friendly lady, which immediately created a warm atmosphere. Shortly after, she came to our table to take our order. If I remember correctly, the lady's name was Alicia... she had beautiful green eyes and provided excellent service. The entire experience was very pleasant for us. The food and drinks were also really good👍🏽We'd love to come back!

Today I was at the "Poppins" restaurant, located in Minden on the market square. In this modernly furnished restaurant, you can not only eat, but also have a large bar. I was at "Poppins" for lunch. I ate a crispy breaded schnitzel with bacon, a fried egg, and French fries. I also drank pink grapefruit juice with grapefruit syrup, lemon squash, and soda. It was a hearty lunch. The waiter was very hospitable, even though he was very busy; an additional waiter would have been helpful. I told him so, though.

We stopped in spontaneously. The food was very good, and my girlfriend's every wish was fulfilled. I was simply captivated by the ambiance. It's a beautiful place. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. The only downside is that the drink prices are a bit steep. But I'll be back anyway because I'm so impressed with the interior.

We had a lovely day in the city, which we then ended comfortably on the market square!

Super delicious burgers – without the bun for me! I have celiac disease and received a super friendly welcome. The chef took his time, answered all my questions about preparation, and ensured clean processes (clean gloves, no contact with gluten, careful attention to contamination, etc.). Transparent, honest, and extremely attentive. I'll definitely be back – great food and super friendly and approachable staff!

We were at Poppins last week and were shocked by how the supposed boss treats the employees, especially in front of the guests! You don't want to imagine what goes on behind the scenes. This place won't get any more money from us!

The waitress didn't speak any German and didn't understand anything and did a lot of things wrong. Knowledge of German should be normal when serving!!! The other waitress then had to take over. Simply disappointing and many people agree with me... In addition, the boss was very unfriendly and intrusive. It really doesn't have to be that way. I will not come again and recommend it to others

Was on vacation and went there for dinner. I ordered a schnitzel with French fries and it came quite quickly. It tasted good.

The following are my impressions of Poppins: We were there to eat and not drink. The large cocktail menu with an extensive happy hour from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. definitely invites you to drink, but as I said, we were there to eat. The menu mainly consists of burgers, which are priced between €12 and €15 without a side dish. For this price I definitely expect delicious sauces and especially fresh burger patties. The burgers came with a boring standard burger sauce and 100% frozen ready-made patties that hardly had any taste of their own. I will not visit this store again for food.

We were there yesterday with a group of six people for our birthday and made a reservation. I specifically asked for the table to be prepared and candles to be put up, which of course we would have paid for, but nothing was done. Until the food came, the service was relatively quick and good. After the food came, no one could be seen or spoken to. The peanut chrispy cheese fries were burnt and definitely frozen meat, the rest of the food was quite good, except for the vegetables in the skinny burger. Totally withered and old. Nobody came and asked for drinks or even if everything was okay. One of the group paid early and they didn't even ask if everything tasted good or if everything was OK. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Even if extrablatt is part of the chain, I get better service right next door. It's a shame

We've been to Poppins before, but today was really disappointing! After sitting down, we waited 15 minutes until someone accepted our drink and food request. Then waited almost an hour for the food. The lady next to us even completely forgot about her food; only her friend got some, even though they waited half an hour afterwards. When we then asked whether we could at least get a discount after this waiting time (or a drink on the house would have done the trick), we were simply refused and said that that would be normal on a summer evening with a lot of visitors. I can certainly understand if it takes a little longer when there are a lot of visitors, but how can it be that other guests who ordered later than us (about 15 minutes later) and ordered twice the portion of food compared to our order (1 burger and 1 fries only) received their food a full 30 minutes faster - and no, we didn't have anything out of the ordinary, the others had the same burgers. Also, I'm in Poppins, not a 5 star culinary restaurant, so I beg you! Other restaurants also manage to avoid making customers wait 15 minutes for service and then a whole hour for food. So this excuse can't be surpassed in terms of embarrassment!

All in all it was fine. However, I don't think it's great, especially when we've just recovered from Corona, that the waitresses don't put on gloves while preparing the glass decorations (fruit, sweets on skewers, etc.)

A very nice and visually appealing place to linger and have a snack or eat. You won't find culinary delights like in a titled restaurant there. But what we have eaten there so far has always been good, sufficient and tasty. The service sometimes seems quite cold, But it's okay anyway.

Were there last night and were asked to pay at around 9:20 p.m. At 9:40 p.m. the music was already on and conveyed that the store was closing. According to the opening times, the store would be open until midnight. When asked if it wasn't actually still open, the answer was "it depends on how many guests are still there." We thought it was a bit cheeky then you should also change this online because someone who sees online in the evening that it is still open will then find the doors locked when they go there.

Food was good. But I didn't feel welcome! It felt like they really wanted to close the shop, even though they were still open for two hours. We had to pay directly and you felt so uneasy about it.

The food was tasty and the atmosphere pleasant, but the service could have been better. A small misunderstanding with my order wasn't a big deal. However, the toilet was much worse - the smell was unbearable and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Hopefully this will be improved as it spoils the overall impression 😅

My citizen tasted like shoe sole

Friendly service, the food came quickly and was nicely presented. Unfortunately there was very little of the homemade sauce on my burger.

The service staff was friendly and attentive, which creates a good atmosphere. The decor at Poppins fits very well with a burger restaurant. Despite my positive rating, there is one small point of criticism - the music is too loud for me personally. But I'm not a benchmark that I'm approaching 50. I have a clear recommendation. Wir suchten, da verschiedene Alternative-Restaurants leider zur Zeit Betriebsferien hatten, schlussendlich dieses einfache Lokal am Markt auf. Ofengemüse wie Käsespätzle wurden rasch und freundlich serviert. Auch die Guacamole i.O. Diese Fastfood - Wirtschaft ist durchaus zu empfehlen.

The food is okay, but nothing special. The burger bread is rather dry and everything else is ordinary. The employees are very nice, but you have to wait ages to pay. The interior is actually very nice, just a bit squished together at the front near the entrance. But the fries are very tasty and you can't go wrong with the drinks either.

The service is super nice even for special requests. And the ambience is good too, not too close together 😉 The food tastes really good and I like being here.

A very nice and stylish restaurant. The food is great and so is the service. The food comes very quickly even when it's full. Unfortunately, the toilets are a disaster every time and resemble a toilet at a motorway rest area.

I ordered the chicken and pineapple Hawaiian burger three times throughout the year. Every time, I forgot how terrible he was, and here's why. The chicken is consistently cooked at too high a temperature, causing it to burn a thin crust. The meat smells distinctly of burnt flesh and has an extremely unpleasant burnt taste. This is the taste of burnt, poisonous and inedible meat. My advice: take this burger off the menu because the chef is constantly unable to cook a regular chicken fillet and burns it in a terrible state. P.S. I have the impression that the chicken is cooked dry in an electric grill. The result is always burnt meat and not juicy chicken with a delicious crust. I easily got a photo of burnt chicken from the photo gallery.

Actually one of the best locations in Minden for relaxed eating and drinking. A classic cheeseburger was ordered. Angus beef is advertised. The burger is a disaster. Frozen patty. For rounded up €13! The burger had absolutely no hold and fell apart after a few bites. The truffle fries (€7) were also not ideally prepared or served. Anyone who likes and loves burgers should avoid Poppins.

We decided to have a coffee break outside. It was okay to sit, but the table was dirty and we had to wait quite a long time before we could place our order. The food was quite ok. The milk for the coffee was bad and it took forever to get it replaced. The absolute highlight was the toilet... I would like to spare you the comment on this. There are even more options nearby to enjoy a coffee in peace. In our opinion, Poppins is not necessarily recommended.

Unfortunately, we have often experienced unpleasant surprises here when it comes to hygiene. Firstly, a dead fly in the glass and now recently dried sauce stains on a plate. No compensation was offered by the service staff. We will no longer be guests here.

You order chicken nuggets and then you're told chicken nuggets are only for kids. The menu doesn't say that chicken nuggets are only for children. Impossible and cheeky.

Plastic in burgers! I ordered a chicken burger and fries, there were real plastic threads everywhere in the burger. I don't know what it was, I gave it back and the chef just looked funny. I still had to pay for it even though I ate a maximum of 1/4 before I tasted and saw it. It can't be really disgusting and healthy!
