Das Essen war fantastisch. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Pizzateig war sehr luftig und fein. Die Vorspeise ebenfalls perfekt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Auch das WC haben sie umgebaut, ist auf neuem Stand.

We came across this restaurant by chance as we were vacationing in the area. Great ambience, great food and lovely staff. One evening we ate at the restaurant and another evening we picked up pizza. Both times the pizza was outstanding. The service was very attentive and courteous. If we were from the area, this would be our new favorite Italian restaurant. Absolutely recommended.

The food was excellent and we also really liked the shop's decor. However, it was a shame that we couldn't reach anyone by phone, even though we tried several times. A small point of improvement but overall a great experience!

I don't think the customer is king - I can only laugh. We arrived and the restaurant was full. We were told we wouldn't be able to get a table for another 20 minutes as it was full. Two boys came immediately after us and were told that something would not be available for them for another 30 minutes. We went outside and waited to be picked up. After about 20 minutes the waiter (probably the boss) came outside, spoke to the two guys who came after us in Italian and brought them in. We waited about another five minutes because we thought we would be picked up straight away, but that wasn't the case... All I can say is SHAME ON YOU... Answer to your answer: The 2 boys definitely came after us and we also heard that they would be told that after about 30 minutes they could have a table. Well, you probably don't need it, but neither do we.

The restaurant is cozy if you get a table by the window. The food was good but the price was slightly high. For a steak at this price I expect a small green salad, but the pumpkin risotto was very good. Pizza was good, but the dough was too thick. The service was ok.

Today I ordered the paccheri with salsiccia, while my companion chose the tagliatelle with shrimps. From the first bite you could tell the pasta was homemade - the perfect bite. Both dishes were cooked al dente to perfection. Without a doubt a clear recommendation for pasta lovers.

I had a wonderful experience at Pompei Da Gianni. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. The service was first class - friendly and attentive. The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, creatively prepared and beautifully presented. The grilled salmon fillet and the chocolate dessert were particularly highlights. The price-performance ratio is also right. Absolutely recommended for foodies!

Mega great pizza...fresh ingredients...mozzarella tastes like it came from our Italian vacation! Even though the restaurant was completely full, the waiting time was reasonable. Totally nice service... we'd love to come back. 🍕👍🏻

Overpriced pizzeria, value for money is not right. E.g. green salad 6.90 in a small bowl with a little sauce. Looked like bagged salad from REWE for 1 euro a bag. A very small portion of Spaghetti Olio for 14.50. After six bites the plate was empty. Pizza Salami was tasty, but very thin and sparingly topped for a mere 13.50. We had to wait 70 minutes for the food, we weren't asked if we wanted another drink, and the service was unfriendly and unprofessional except for one person. In this price range I expect great service in a great atmosphere.

We went there for dinner with friends and I have to say I'm really disappointed. The ambience is really nice. The staff is friendly but they tend to ignore you. The staff often walked past us and didn't clear the plates. The starter plates were also dirty. There was hardly any meat in the lasagne. The breaded chicken tasted like fish and the rosemary potatoes were just normal boiled potatoes that had been fried. For the seafood pasta, the seafood was all cold. And with the pasta with the ragou, the pasta was still pretty hard. So the price-performance ratio is not right for me at all. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

The ambience at the Pompei da Gianni in Weil am Rhein was quite appealing: a pleasant atmosphere with warm lighting and cozy furnishings. However, our experience was quickly marred by the disappointing service. After waiting at the entrance for several minutes without being noticed, we finally decided to sit at a table ourselves. It was obvious that the place wasn't overly busy, so it was surprising why no one seated us. When a waitress and a waiter finally showed up, both were extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating. Their tone and manner left something to be desired when they asked us to sit at another table. This request would certainly have been appropriate if it had been phrased politely. When our pizzas were finally served, I politely asked the waiter to cut them for us. However, his reaction was disappointing: he grimaced and largely ignored my request. When he returned, the pizzas were cut half-heartedly, which significantly detracted from the dining experience. As for the food, the pizzas were okay in terms of taste, but the bruschetta left a lot to be desired. It mainly tasted like tomatoes and unfortunately it wasn't as good as we expected. Overall, the poor service left a negative mark on our experience at Pompei da Gianni and spoiled our enjoyment of the otherwise good food.

Super delicious pizza and appetizers/cocktails, good wines, delicious Italian food. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere outside on the terrace. (Children, for example, can jump around freely in the easily manageable park in front if you have them with you.) Parking nearby is usually no problem either! Again any time! We recommend!

Reception & service friendly. Food = FIASCO! (3 different types of pizza, risotto ai funghi and salad with French dressing). I regret having to write that they were the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. Risotto tasted like nothing. The salad didn't look fresh and attractive at all. The dressing tasted like water with yogurt. A pity! I would have expected more!

The pizzas at Pompei are really awesome, they are perhaps a little bit higher priced compared to Germany, but that is to be expected in Basel around the corner and in my case I also give them a generous amount of toppings. For everyone who is familiar with the Calabrian Nduja and loves burrata, I can really recommend the “Nduja Love”, which I thought was fantastic and my parents’ pizzas also looked very tasty. The latter didn't make it and I ate the leftovers the next day and even then it was super tasty, something I've rarely experienced, meaning you can easily take it with you. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the dishes other than the pizzas, but someone else will definitely have a review. As someone with an Italian background, I say: big thumbs up 👍🏼🍕

We are always served very well, we don't wait long for the food and we always get a good table, even if it is full. Even shortly before the end of the workday you are sent nothing. We really like it and unfortunately too rarely here... it has to change 😊

I was there on Friday evening with a colleague, the food and the service were good, but the only thing that really bothered me was that we had to wait 45 minutes for the pizza, which was a little too long for me, maybe you should hire someone else to do it I think 1 person alone isn't enough to make pizza, but otherwise it was delicious.
