No effort is made whatsoever to make it appealing to EVERYONE. "Vegetarian" vegetables taste bad at all. Overpriced and not vegan-friendly. Vegetables that are too watery and simply disgusting, and then charging €20 for them, is simply selfish and antisocial. Especially when dead animals and their unworthy innards are cheaper than a pile of plants. Shame on you. I'd rather not give any stars, but I have to, otherwise I wouldn't be able to write a review to show you that you're truly the worst Greek restaurant I know. It's not difficult to offer delicious vegan dishes. And you can't even manage to make something vegetarian taste any more appealing. You are fatal mass murderers.

I find the restaurant very cozy and appealing. I used to come here often and enjoy it; it was one of my favorite restaurants, where I always felt comfortable. Since the change of ownership, it's gotten worse every time, or at least that's how I feel. Before, it was like, "Okay, we can do it once," but now I think, "no, it doesn't have to be that way anymore." Many of the employees simply look unfriendly and aren't polite when approaching someone. There are only a few exceptions. They don't even ask if you'd like another drink, and they take a long time. I also find the menu rather silly now that you have to order everything separately. I don't think it tastes that good anymore either. The fries last time were really bad. Someone else's meat wasn't cooked well and was generally very stringy, which was communicated, and they said they would inform the kitchen. A short while later, dessert was on the house. Which is a nice gesture in itself, and good, but it was handed to us without a word, without a grin or anything like that, no apology or "we're sorry"... nothing. So I think the service has deteriorated drastically, and unfortunately, the taste as well. It's a shame.

I've been eating there for about 19 years now. In the last two years, we've felt that the service has become more of a rush. The food tastes good as always, no question, but the price-performance ratio is no longer there. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Unmotivated staff, the manager is always in a bad mood and short-tempered. Serving the food is more like throwing plates on the table. You almost have to beg for new drinks, and then they bring the wrong ones. We haven't been there for about six months because we had a bad experience, and yesterday we thought, "Let's try Plaka again." But nothing has changed. We wanted to take our food to go because our son couldn't finish it all, but they simply put a box on the table instead of bringing it to the table wrapped up. Even when paying, no one smiles or asks if everything is OK, let alone maintains eye contact. The amount is quickly entered, the card is inserted, and the device is swiped away, even though you still have to enter your PIN. Impossible. It's a shame the old manager is no longer there. We won't be coming back. We found a fantastic new Greek restaurant where everything is just right. It's a shame to lose such a great restaurant with years of potential.

We had the set menu and it was excellent. The starter alone was very filling. The main course was a colorful mix of Greek cuisine. A little of everything, but also a lot. For dessert, we opted for yogurt with honey. However, we could have also had panna cotta, which was too rich for us after the meal.

We stopped here for refreshments on our bike tour around Hamm. Everything was delicious, and the ouzo we received was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and we'll definitely try other dishes there again. The service was very friendly!

Last night, I was there with a group for the first time in a long time. Unlike before, when Christina was still running the restaurant, I was truly disappointed. The welcome wasn't particularly friendly; I felt more like an annoyance. Later, it turned out that it was the manager who was grumpy and disinterested. You practically had to beg for drinks, and questions about the food were met with a somewhat accusatory and dismissive response. Everyone was served a salad without first checking whether the dressing was desired. The food was plentiful but not particularly tasty. For me, it's not about quantity, but rather about tasty preparation. My conclusion: friendliness, tastyness, and service are a fatal decline. I don't need it anymore.

Great all around. Authentic Greek food

Since the new owner moved in, things have gotten "bad." I constantly get the wrong dish (takeaway, a bifteki plate with fries, nothing else, or what do you get? A bifteki special with rice and salad). On top of that, the portions have gotten smaller and the prices seem to have gone up. I last called at 6:30 p.m. for delivery! Not possible before 9:30 p.m. OK, then for pickup... Not before 9:30 p.m. here either. It's a real shame about a once-great restaurant.

Nice Greek restaurant. We arrived on Sunday around 3:30 p.m. and found a place straight away without a reservation, even though it was quite full. The menu lacks classic Greek dishes such as stifado, pastitio and moussaka. Overall quite meaty. However, the gratinated gyros were very good and tasty, but also powerful. Overall we found it very worthwhile. Price level overall cheap.

We were there for the first time at Christmas. Despite the fact that it was full, the food came to everyone at the same time after about 30 minutes. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. Very good parking options. Despite the holidays, the prices were not raised. We traveled from Dortmund and were seven satisfied guests. We will visit the restaurant again when the opportunity arises and recommend it to others. We wish all employees a happy new year.

So, we had dinner there yesterday with 6 people. The food was very good! Only the service was not sufficient for the number of guests! Waiting for food for 1 1/2 hours is absolutely not possible! Then they say that unfortunately it is not possible to pay with a card and that the card terminal is defective! This card payment service should be available on such days! Bad service or because of tax. Card payments can't be easily manipulated in the books. Well, whatever. You should work on the service!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The entire team was incredibly nice and attentive. They tried very hard to accommodate our support with celiac disease. All ingredients were carefully checked to ensure they were gluten free and they prepared a special gluten free dish for us. This consideration and friendly service made our visit very special. A few weeks ago we visited Plaka with our team from work. It's not as beautiful as it used to be. The food was tasty, but the surroundings just didn't fit. The starters (salad) were served carelessly and the waiters brought the wrong drinks to the table, which can happen. Things are hectic at Christmas time. But I didn't like the fact that you were asked to pay at the counter like in a canteen. We were also told that the bill wouldn't add up and the last person to pay would be out of luck. Unfortunately we didn't have ouzo on the house at the neighboring table.

We got a table without booking in advance. Had to wait a very long time for service. After the order, things went quickly and the food was very tasty and good. The price-performance ratio is okay and we left the restaurant very satisfied.

As always, good food and extremely fast service. Everything is very well organized. But you get the impression that the boss has the whip behind the employees and everything has to happen *quickly quickly quickly quickly quickly*. Like: Eat - clear away - next paying customer!!! You almost feel pressured by the hectic pace and that completely ruins the cozy atmosphere. It's really crazy when it comes to CASHING OUT at the checkout. Quick, quick, quick, the boss doesn't look you in the eye and with a 5 euro tip you don't even get a thank you. Well, next time = card payment and tips are given to the runners, done! A reduction in his somewhat arrogant manner would look good on the boss.

A nice Greek restaurant. If you want to go out for a finer meal and not in a snack bar style. It was tasty and the staff was very friendly. Special requests for fixed foods on the menu can be easily accommodated (e.g. fried potatoes instead of fries). I will go there again when I feel like it.

Recently I was there again very strongly. I never wanted to go there again 1.5 - 2 years ago because the food and service was catastrophic, but now everything has changed. The food is much better and I can only recommend it The pork steaks are super tender, something you don't get everywhere, and still edible and delicious even after 2 hours of cold. Lamb fillets (recommendation) Man, it tastes like it's not a joke but really a lamb tastes great. All in all, this is a good restaurant. The disadvantage is that the tables are too close together and there is little privacy. The people sitting next to you at the table hear your conversations.

If you like Greek food you will love it here. The food, the service and the ambience are top. 👍

The food is typically Greek, high quality. No matter what you order, it is always very tasty and plentiful. The atmosphere is modern, there is a winter garden and it is homely. The parking situation is good - partly on the street, partly behind the house. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Some steps are already in front of the house, others inside. It was a pleasure.
