Super friendly owner and the gnocchi were the best we've ever had!

It's all a disaster... And I assume all the good reviews are fake... This can't be real... Not even the flowers; they're plastic or dried out.

Since the restaurant was fully booked, we had already ordered two takeaway pizzas for lunch. When we picked them up, we were asked more than three times which pizzas we had ordered. The surprise came when we opened the pizza box. Extremely small pizzas for the price (€13 each), and they looked like frozen pizzas. Upon biting into them, our first impression was confirmed. The pizzas not only looked like frozen pizzas, they tasted like them too. They weren't really edible, but hunger drove them in.

A truly wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

Authentic Sicilian cuisine, something you rarely find these days. The two of us arrived today by bike, and the friendly owner and his lovely wife were once again very welcoming. We'd love to come back and really enjoyed the pleasant chat afterward.

I discovered this pizzeria by chance today. The staff is very friendly, and the food is simply excellent. Highly recommended, but a reservation may be necessary, as the pizzeria has relatively limited seating.

Absolutely not! Worst pizza ever, the tagliatelle wasn't much better, even the wine spritzer was basically just tap water (may contain traces of wine). And all this after a 1.5 hour wait. You should have been warned by the returned plates from other guests and the extremely cheap ambiance.

The ambiance leaves a lot to be desired, but if you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed. The food is so-so... But girls, I hope you don't even have to use the bathroom during your stay 🙈 Friendliness, but still very commendable

The exterior isn't exactly inviting. The interior also has a typical Italian feel. So far, so average. Three things are really good: There's a small - really small - beer garden, which I really like. The second is the owner, who is always in a good mood and is the heart and soul of the business. The third are the dishes, which are truly authentic Italian and very tasty. If you're not put off by the restaurant's exterior, you won't go wrong here. I highly recommend it.

Have been to 70 countries. This is the best lasagna in the world. Had it 20 years ago and stopped off here again just for the food. The staff is awesome and accommodating. If you want great food and great feelings, visit here.

Trattoria Sicilia is a small Italian gem in the heart of Oberwesel. Franco cooks here himself, and his dishes (whether lasagna, homemade gnocchi, or Wiener Schnitzel...) are simply divine. You should definitely try his homemade "fried potatoes," which make every fries pop off the plate, red as a smirk. Chef Franco also caters to special requests: pesto without pine nuts for allergy sufferers is no problem, nor is extra Bolognese sauce on the vegetable lasagna ;-). A definite recommendation for anyone who loves Italian food! Thanks for your hospitality while passing through Oberwesel.

The food is very good! The boss is super nice and listens to his guests' wishes, you just have to say how you want your food. We have been there many times and were not disappointed. Definitely our favorite Italian! Clear recommendation!

A little put off by the “external appearance” of the restaurant, we ordered pizzas there. We got to the location via the Schlemmerblock, but this is not valid on public holidays. We still ordered 3 (large) pizzas to take away. These were really tasty: Crispy base, good tomato sauce, fresh topping, well seasoned.

Were there yesterday with about 20 people. Cook totally overwhelmed. We even placed the order over the phone beforehand. 1 guest didn't get any food at all and the last guest had to wait 2 hours for her bruschetta. A Margherita pizza was burned and was exchanged. Conclusion: half of the guests were satisfied, the other half of the guests were unfortunately not at all. We won't be coming back!

A revelation, I can never eat gnocci again without comparing them with the ones here (and they will all fail)... So light, fluffy and in an incredibly delicious cheese sauce... My husband had potato wedges with his gratinated chicken breast, which we haven't had anywhere else. The innkeepers are super friendly, down-to-earth people who, despite a lot of work, still get involved with their guests and run the place with their heart and soul. Unfortunately there are no photos of the food... We were too hungry and the food was too tasty 🫣😄... but I swear there are good portions at a more than fair price and a photo couldn't capture the taste anyway. Come here and try it, it's worth it.

This was our second time, but not the last time. The homemade fresh lasagne is amazing! But the pizzas are also delicious. The innkeepers are extremely nice and accommodating.

Besitzer sehr kontaktfreudig, Service nett, Essen gut. Leider hat man uns eine Flasche Wasser/ Pelegrino (das bei unserem Eintreffen schon auf dem Tisch stand) mit 7,00 !!! Euro berechnet, obwohl wir sie weder bestellt noch geöffnet haben. Ist uns erst zu Hause aufgefallen.

If you can look past the worn-out furnishings and accept the southern Italian lightness, you will receive loving service and more than excellent food. Wir sind Wiederholungstäter. Wir besuchten gestern das Restaurant zum dritten Mal und waren wiederum begeistert. Gegessen haben wir selbstgemachte und gefüllte Gnocchi in Knoblauch Sahnesauce - und auch selbst gemachte Tagliatelle in Sahnesauce mit Lachs. Beide Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und liebevoll serviert. Chef Franco geht auf alle Wünsche der Gäste ein. Das Lokal ist sauber, ebenso die Toiletten. Wir haben das Lokal schon mehrfach weiterempfehlen und positive Resonanz erhalten. Ein Geheimtipp am Mittelrhein und in Oberwesel. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir sind aus purem Zufall auf dieses Lokal aufmerksam geworden. Das Gebäude und die Innenausstattung sind zweckmäßig,aber lassen nicht vermuten, wir top die Küche ist. Wir haben uns auf die Empfehlung der Bedienung verlassen und wurden mehr als positiv überrascht. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet, was man an der völlig vertretbaren Wartezeit merkt. Ultra lecker. Von der Vorspeise zum Hauptgericht alles tip top.fsire Preise und eine ganz herzliche und familiäre Atmosphäre. Immer wieder gerne. Lg an die Besitzer

The pizzeria is more reminiscent of an old man's pub. It wouldn't be bad if the rest was correct. We ordered a pizza and the owner's highly praised homemade gnocchi here. The gnocchi was OK (hence 2 stars). The pizza was the worst in years. It reminded us of a ready-made pizza. The atmosphere is also more reminiscent of a pub. We were the only customers except for two other people at the counter holding on to a beer. In short: Unfortunately not recommended…

On the day we arrived on our vacation, we quickly looked for something to eat and "unfortunately" we only came across this restaurant. Later in the evening we entered the restaurant and weren't quite sure whether we were in the right place. The ambience was very strange indeed and seemed more like a village pub from the late 20th century. We ordered a Jumbo Pizza Margherita to take away and waited what felt like 45 minutes until we finally received it (aside from us, there were only 2 older men sitting at the counter who had already been taken care of - no other guests came). Since the operating couple was very nice and talked to us, we overlooked the long waiting time. After we arrived at our holiday accommodation with our pizza, we were really more than disappointed... The pizza was in the oven for far too long and some of it was burnt. Cheese was on maybe 1/4 of the pizza surface and tasted very bland. The reviews here MUST be fake and we would definitely advise strangers not to visit.

We came to the pizzeria via the Schlemmerblock. The food was wonderful, everything was fresh and homemade. The pizza bread was super tasty and I have never eaten it like that before. The pesto was great. I would definitely buy it for home. We'll definitely be back, there's still a lot I'd like to try on the menu.

Went there on the recommendation of a friend. Food TOP!! fresh ingredients, pizza rich and delicious toppings. The taste: simply delicious. We were also recommended the homemade lasagna > a dream! The food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was great! We had chicken baked in tomato/spinach and pork fillet. The homemade pasta and potato wedges as side dishes are also highly recommended. After the meal there was a friendly and interesting conversation with the chef and owner of the trattoria. We were at the trattoria quite late, but the owner of the trattoria was very friendly. The food was great and you could tell the owner had a passion for food (everything is homemade and fresh). I had a very tasty pizza Quatro Formagi (with white cream sauce as a base, which is rare in Germany but common in southern Italy) and my families - gnocchi. Delicious! I can highly recommend this trattoria to anyone who values ​​traditional Italian cuisine!

Super friendly owner, you can feel the passion for his job. The food (in my case a lasagna) was excellent, especially in combination with the chili oil offered. The only drawback (according to my father) was that there were no tablecloths. As long as you don't attach any importance to this, it's definitely worth a visit.

There were four of us and we ate both a starter and a main course. The homemade pesto with tagliatelle could also be ordered as a starter without any problems. Overall, a very nice and relaxed evening.

Worst pizza ever. Just don't order the overpriced grill plate, it's a disaster! Salad costs an extra 4 euros Fries soggy two pieces of pork loin one piece of turkey without taste without herb butter. How can you offer something like that?

Das Essen schmeckt klasse, ich komme seit Jahren hierher. Der Koch bringt immer wieder etwas neues und vor allem Leckeres auf den Tisch. Ob nun Pizza, die selbst gemachten Nudeln, Fisch oder Fleisch.

Wir waren heute als Touristen mit dem Schlemmerblock bei Franco und seiner Lebensgefährtin. Wir wurden ganz herzlich aufgenommen und gut bewirtet. Sehr berührt hat uns, als uns Francos Lebensgefährtin von ihrer MS Erkrankung erzählt hat und berichtet hat dass sie , man kann es weiter unten lesen", eine Bewertung bekommen hat, in der sie als betrunkene alte Frau tituliert wird. Schade das es solche Menschen gibt, die mit solchen Bewertungen das Leben von Menschen, die vom Schicksal ohnehin nicht begünstigt sind, damit noch weiter erschweren. Essen leider zu fettig und qualitativ nicht hochwertig, aber für den Preis heutzutage leider ausreichend. Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich. Die Wartezeit war mittelmäßig sehr hoch

Zag er binnen rommelig en ongezellig uit. Allegaartje van meubels en entourage. Versleten meubels en een schoonmaak was lang geleden. Eten was verder prima en goed betaalbaar. ( behalve de cola... 4 euro per glas !!). Hier komen we dus liever niet meer terug

Wenn man hausgemachtes, italienisches Essen sucht, ist man in der Trattoria Sicilia genau richtig. Der Chef kocht selbst - mit ganzem Herzen. Die selbstgemachten Gnocchi waren nicht nur riesig, sondern auch fluffig und sehr lecker in ihrer Käsesoße. Das hausgemachte Pesto mit frischen Kräutern und Knoblauch schmeckte ebenso gut zur Tagliatelle. Auch wenn das Lokal auf den ersten Blick nicht so viel her macht, so kommt man mit der Freundlichkeit der Gastleute und dem sehr guten italienischen Essen voll auf seine Kosten. Nur zu empfehlen! Beim nächsten Besuch in Oberwesel kommen wir gern wieder.

Wenn sie ein gutes Essen haben möchten ,1 1/2 Wartezeit mit bringen, und sich dann noch vom Chef an schreien lassen wollen, weil man sich über die lange Wartezeit beschwert hat. Sind sie hier gold richtig.

Waren auf der Durchreise und ne hatten Hunger - sind also mehr oder weniger zufällig in der Pizzeria Trattoria Sicilia gelandet - und das war ein Glück! Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service, perfekte Pasta (Puttanesca und Arrabiata) und sehr sympathische Stammgäste! Wir hatten eine wunderbare Pause unterwegs und haben das Restaurant glücklich und satt verlassen. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind und hungrig, kommen wir wieder vorbei und dann bleiben wir auf einen zweiten Schwenker - versprochen! 🌻

Wir haben mit drei Freundinnen und zwei älteren Kindern das Lokal aufgrund der guten Bewertungen besucht und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir mussten etwas auf das Essen warten, da der Chef selber kocht, das Warten hat sich aber gelohnt. Sehr lecker. Die Atmosphäre war sehr familiär, unsere Jungens waren willkommen (obwohl sie zugegebenermaßen nicht nur ruhig waren) und die Preise absolut angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Der beste Sizilianer weit und breit!!!!! Wir haben recht spät noch Hunger bekommen und sind zur Trattoria gefahren. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und freundlichst bewirtet. Das Essen war eine glatte 11 von 10 und die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung. Bei unserem kurzen Aufenthalt übers Wochenende sind wir gleich zweimal hier gewesen. Unfassbar lecker, alles hand- und selbstgemacht, super herzliche und freundliche Bewirtung, familiär und gemütlich. Zu empfehlen sind hausgemachte Gnoccis und auch jede Art von Pizza. Kein industriell gefertigter Teig, sondern nach eigenem Rezept frisch zubereitet. Wir kommen gerne wieder, sobald wir wieder in der Gegend sind. Danke für die wunderbare Verköstigung!
