Pizzeria Stella Italia in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock

Four of us went to the Stella Italia restaurant two days in a row. We had a wine stand at the Pollhans market, serving until after 10 p.m. As a result, we received phone calls from several other restaurants to cancel our reservations. Not so at Stella Italia. Even at this late hour, we were treated to a fantastic minestrone soup from the chef, followed by pasta dishes and exquisite pizzas from the chef. The pizza dough alone was a delight. We were able to watch the pizza being made live in the beechwood-fired stone oven and learned the benefits of a stone oven in the process. The entire team is attentive and friendly, something you rarely experience these days. In summary, we can 100% recommend Stella Italia and will definitely be back next year.

We've been to Enzo's in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock many times and always enjoy coming back. I like the restaurant – especially the pizza dough is really good, nice and light and delicious from the stone oven. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service friendly and attentive. Overall, you feel at home here, and we've always been satisfied. We don't come every week, but we like to come back every now and then – simply a lovely place to enjoy a good pizza. Very tasty stone-baked pizza. I can't rate the other dishes since we only ordered pizza. Delicious dough, great sauce, and good ingredients. Card payments are accepted. There's plenty of seating. However, larger groups should make a reservation, especially on weekends.

The pizza was truly one of the best Italian pizzas I've ever eaten in Germany. I can't fault the ambiance or the service at all; it was truly outstanding!

The place has so much potential... unfortunately, it's not being fully utilized. The pizza is great! Just be careful with the juicy toppings; the crust in the middle is soggy from the generous topping and no longer firm. The baker certainly meant well, but less is more! The salad is good, and the bruschetta is delicious. But the service... is really very inattentive. It took 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and 45 minutes for the food order to be taken (note: table reservation for 6:30 p.m., it wasn't full yet, and there were at least two people serving). By the time the food arrived, it was almost 8 p.m. Another problem: fruit flies! At times, 20-30 flies were buzzing above our plates around our heads while we were eating. Sorry: the organic waste bins are by the windows... 🫣 Sorry, what?! You also feel like you're disturbing the staff (or even the owner) with your order. Such a shame.

The last time we were there with four people the food was absolutely great but the second time we ordered drinks they said they were coming straight away and then after 30 minutes what we wanted to drink came and he was still big mouthed and we shouldn't make such a fuss for the two minutes we paid and left so next time please be a bit friendlier we would gladly come back just because of the great dishes

We had a fantastic evening at Stella Italia last week. There was a fantastic buffet, very attentive service, and live music. It couldn't have been better. Thank you for that.

We were looking forward to a lovely Italian evening at the pizzeria – but were unfortunately disappointed. The buffet was very slow to refill, so many dishes were quickly sold out, and restocks took a long time. The wait times were long, both for drinks service and at the buffet. Overall, everything seemed poorly organized to us; it was probably the first attempt. The music was so loud that conversation was difficult. But the singer sang well. An atmospheric evening doesn't look like that to us. We found the value for money to be very poor.

The Italian evening was a disaster in terms of service. If you were lucky enough to get something from the buffet, the food was okay. But the service didn't follow up with drinks or food; everything was constantly empty. When we wanted to pay and mentioned the criticism, we were yelled at. We said we had no idea how things would go, as we wanted to leave at 10 p.m. We had already been there for over four hours and weren't full. We were also told we were too old and that if there was better somewhere else, we should go there. Absolutely incapable of criticism and unfriendly. If you offer a buffet, you should also ensure that the dishes are constantly refilled and, above all, that the guests are fed! It was the last time we were there.

We had so much fun 🥰 The food was delicious and plentiful. The live music was also great; we danced, sang, and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and positive, always ready to deliver our orders quickly.

Yesterday was a fantastic Italian evening. Great live music, a delicious, plentiful buffet, and an absolutely fantastic service despite the 150 guests! Simply wonderful, and hopefully we'll be back soon.

Today was my second and last visit. The food on the first visit was excellent, drinks came quickly, as you'd expect when sitting at the bar. Today we sat outside in the beer garden. The restaurant was full at the buffet, and the waiters were overwhelmed. After asking twice, four of us got our drinks after 45 minutes. The wine we ordered didn't even come with glasses, which we then had to get ourselves from the bar after another ten minutes of waiting. When we finally wanted to go to dinner, there weren't even any starters left and we had to wait for the main course. In my opinion, there were far too few waiters and they were totally uncoordinated. Since we were hungry, we paid for the drinks and went to another restaurant where we were served courteously and quickly. We will never set foot in this chaotic place again.

It was wonderful! The food was fantastic, as was the service! Everything is slowly getting settled, and you can feel the young, dynamic team! Very hygienic and great restroom facilities. A peaceful and pleasant atmosphere is definitely evident.

We were there for the first time with seven people. It was very nice that we were able to sit outside spontaneously, and we were greeted very warmly. BUT... The drinks came quite quickly... We waited almost 1.5 hours for the food. Customers who came after us had already eaten and paid, and we were still waiting. The asparagus was completely overcooked. The pizza simply had no flavor. My husband had asparagus wrapped in ham and baked... unfortunately, there was no side dish... not even bread. We had to reorder drinks several times. A real shame.

What a great place! We hadn't made a reservation, but we were warmly welcomed and even though the shop was busy, a really nice table was organized for us. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were professional but still "laid-back" and there was a familiar warmth in their interactions with each other. I really wanted to eat pizza, but couldn't decide, was advised and ended up ordering the Pizza Estate. The hammer!!! Freshly prepared in the stone oven directly in the restaurant (adjoining room). The pizza maker was also super nice and you could see how much he enjoyed his work! My son's spaghetti carbonara was also really good. It's a shame that the restaurant is 150km away from us, otherwise it would definitely be our regular restaurant. By the way, the prices are totally reasonable too! Absolute recommendation!!!

A cozy restaurant with very good food and nice staff!

You really can't complain about the food. You should work on the service. Getting upset about telephone orders and constantly biting your fingernails doesn't have to be the case in the guest area. Another tip: If you keep a better eye on the guests, more drinks would be ordered.

We were there on Saturday with friends, so far everything was ok, service, food and drinks, but if there are "old" cobwebs in the toilet room, that's not possible, you should pay attention to it!

Were there on January 31, 2025 with 11 people. The staff is now well-coordinated, which was not the case before. However, you also have to find the right staff to ensure smooth processes. Drinks and dishes didn't take long. We all enjoyed it very much. Service staff were very friendly, the owner sat down with us and had fun with us (“Bella Ciao” ​​sang 😂). Went here again after two years and ate pizza and pasta. Even though it was a Saturday evening, we got a great table and were able to watch the chef prepare the pizza. The food was delicious as always... 5 stars for that. And since the service has gotten so much better, 5 stars for that too. We'd love to come back

We went to the restaurant with a larger group. We were there at short notice but with a telephone announcement. You could tell that the staff was overwhelmed, they rolled their eyes when taking orders and there were also stroppy answers. If you are overwhelmed with several customers you should not accept the number of people. I can still recommend the food.

I've been looking for a good restaurant for a long time with delicious food, great service and a nice atmosphere. I ordered the “Scampi al pepe verde” and I was just thrilled. Scampi wrapped in Parma ham with a delicious pepper cognac sauce is truly one of the best dishes I have eaten. The waiting time wasn't long at all, even though it sounds very complicated. I'm just thrilled. For scampi lovers, this dish is really a very tasty option! The service staff was also very accommodating and you didn't have to collect your glasses on the table, as is the case in some restaurants. People regularly asked if there was anything else they wanted and the service staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was also very, very nice and cozy! I'd love to come back!

Everything perfect and DELICIOUS

I found out about this restaurant from a very good friend who was absolutely convinced of this restaurant, which is why I wanted to see for myself. In short, I went into this restaurant with very high expectations and they were absolutely exceeded! The ambience in the restaurant is original. You immediately feel like you are in Sicily. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's an Italian family and you can tell! They are very hospitable and you feel very comfortable! Rarely have I eaten such delicious Italian food. While we were driving through, the little Italian restaurant caught my eye. A small family-run restaurant where every dish is prepared with love. The service was excellent and the waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!

The ambience is a typical inn with nice seating areas. Very child and dog friendly! The service is top and the waiters are super friendly and know their job. The food is excellent, especially the pizza with figs is highly recommended and something special. But pasta and seafood were also delicious! Value for money gets 5 stars from us! It's definitely worth a visit!

I was on holiday nearby and came across this restaurant by chance, for me it is the best pizza I have eaten in a long time and as an Italian I have had a few. The service was also first class. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in the area.

We decided to visit the restaurant with our family on Friday evening, August 2, 2024. But the restaurant was closed. No sign, no announcement. And the website said that the restaurant was open. Very upset

Unfortunately it's not worth a star. I called several times to order a pizza for pickup and each time I was told they were fully booked. It can't be true that a pizzeria can't bake 2 pizzas.

Waited an hour, only got drinks and bread. Guests who arrived later were more likely to receive their food. Accordingly, I can't say anything about the food because we then left. You also had to listen to cheeky comments!

Everything tastes great and everyone really makes an effort to offer the guest the best service, e.g. made a funny animal face on the pizza for the child! Top! Always my pleasure!!!

Visiting the pizzeria with a larger group We were served in a room that was far too small and we had to squeeze in. The waitress could not come to the guest's table, drinks and food had to be "passed on". We had to wait a long time for the food itself. It came at completely different times, i.e. the person sitting next to me had already eaten and I still had to wait. I myself waited a good 1.5 hours for a simple pizza. For some of us, the 2 hour mark was also broken. By then some of the group had already gone home. This is not how you actually imagine going to a restaurant together. You want to eat together. It should be said that we had communicated our dining wishes several weeks in advance. Apparently they hadn't prepared for us. There is no other explanation for these extremely long waiting times. Overall, I didn't have the feeling of sitting in a restaurant, but rather in a bad youth hostel. It can happen that it takes a little longer to eat. Everyone understands that. But to be fair, you should tell the guest about it. The fact that it takes two hours to make a simple pizza can certainly not be explained by the demand for high quality... it was actually rather simple. Overall, the team seemed completely overwhelmed. I then ask myself: Why would you accept a group of 40 guests when you know that you cannot accommodate them properly? The food itself was below average. Unfortunately the pizza was burnt in some places and had several black spots on the bottom. This cannot be explained by the wood oven, but rather by the fact that it was in the oven for too long. My seatmate's casserole was a pile of pasta on which a piece of cheese had been placed and baked. That seemed like a block of cheese. I myself would have been against eating something like that. Overall, everything wasn't prepared with much care and looked rather thrown together. This is how I cook at home when I don't feel like it. Is there anything good to report? Yes, the young waiters were exceptionally friendly and cheerful. When I paid I wasn't asked if I liked it. .... I know why.

The pizza and the pasta were very tasty, the pasta came and my pizza first went into the oven...poor communication between the staff. But the real kicker came...next to us there was a family with 2 children who often go there....apparently...the family was very friendly to us even though they didn't know us. When the family left, a waitress cleaned the table and said very loudly several times...what a mess the children have left behind.... Personally, I didn't think it was good and I don't think it's appropriate... When the service person was asked about it, it was a deterrent and what if I left now, would she say something like that... no, she wouldn't say that... and at the same time she started to discuss something like that with me and she was allowed to say something like that say...when I go to a restaurant I want people to treat me with respect...after all, I do that too.

The first meal was delicious. However, it took over an hour until we received our starter. Then another 30 minutes until we received our main course of 4 dishes. The service wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. The highlight was that we had to "collect" 8 empty glasses and bottles of water on the table because none of the waitresses picked them up.

We went there several times to eat something or just drink something. It is best to book the table in advance. A real deficit is ordering food. Therefore only three out of five points. Waiting for a simple pizza, sometimes up to 90 minutes or longer, is actually not possible at all. Even if we just have a drink and eat bruschetta, perhaps with a small salad, a waiting time of an hour or more is the norm here. There is an urgent need to work on this and it should gradually be possible to get it under control.

I went there today with my colleagues because they also have a vegan margherita on the menu. I ordered that too, but didn't get it. There was definitely mozzarella on the pizza. I ate it anyway because I don't want it to end up in the trash can. I then discussed it, and then, after being assured that we had vegan cheese, we asked in the kitchen. But that was it. No response, no apology. And it definitely wasn't vegan cheese, it never stretches like mozzarella. When you're treated like that, you don't have much desire to come back. It's a shame, because vegan dishes are still rare, especially in the provinces.

The stone oven pizzas are incredibly tasty and highly recommended! So far we have enjoyed everything we have eaten on numerous visits.

The wood-fired pizza is brilliant, let us top it according to your taste. The carpaccio starter is unbeatable! By far the best carpaccio in town! Believe me, I tested them all, the beef was sliced ​​very thinly, it was super tasty, with parmesan and onions with olive oil and capers. An absolute culinary delight.

Fresh and very tasty thanks to the capers and olives. Ines had a pizza Tonno. I ordered the pizza al chefe (Gofgonzola and oyster mushrooms) father-in-law in späh had the speciale. Mother-in-law a lasagne. My pizza...extremely delicious. Ines and father-in-law raved about their pizzas. Mother-in-law was very enthusiastic about the lasagna. I tried these as a non-meat eater. The sauce is fruity and simply delicious. Finally enjoyed one (or maybe two) very good Grapas. The service was very accommodating, the atmosphere was comfortable. Hopefully see you soon 😀

We sat very comfortably on March 2nd and ate extremely well. Pizza and salad. Sounds simple, but it wasn't. I've never seen such good pizza. Everything was perfect, from the dough to the toppings and spices.

The best pizza in a 100 km radius, original stone oven pizza, thin, delicious dough, flat edge, cheese positioned at the bottom so that everything is baked deliciously on top! Very nice and attentive service with experience! The owner Enzo at the stone oven with passion and a lot of humor and a very friendly spirit, typical Neapolitan attitude to life! Auf Empfehlung war ich heute abend zusammen mit meinem Sohn zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant Vom Steinofen hatte ich schon vorher gehört, und so war ich gespannt, vor allem auf die Pizza! Wir wurden in jeder Hinsicht positiv überrascht: Tolle und vielseitige Speisekarte, weit über Pizza und Nudelgerichte hinaus, superleckere Pizza mit Teig, genau wie er sein soll: Dünn knusprig... aber nicht zu knusprig oder gar angekokelt... und einfach lecker! Dazu ein sehr nettes Team und eine entspannte Antmosphäre. (Und dazu noch eine Besitzerfamilie, die ich aus meiner Kindheit an anderem Ort bereits kannte und in sehr guter Erinnerung hatte... kleine Welt!) Kurz: Dicke Empfehlung und ein ebensolches Kompliment für ein Restaurant, das ich sicher bald wieder besuchen werde!

Eine der wenigen noch traditionellen Trattorien, herzlich, gastlich, ein allerhöchst erfahrener, liebevoller Inhaber und eine/jede Pizza aus einem feinen Holzofen, die einen Michelin-Stern verdient hätte. Die anderen Leckereien hebe ich mir für die nächsten Male auf. Du kommst als Restaurantbesucher, und wenn du's richtig machst, gehst du als Gast, der immer willkommen ist 🤩

Die Pizzeria Stella Italia ist ein italienisches Restaurant in Stukenbrock. Es liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße. Man kann direkt vor dem Eingang parken. Das Ambiente im Inneren überzeugen mit sanften Lichtern und vielen Nischen, wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und wir wurden zuvorkommend bedient. Wir haben Pizza gegessen. Sie war ganz lecker, aber ganz überzeugt hat sie mich nicht. Sie war zu trocken. Etwas mehr Soße hätte ihr gut getan. Darum gibt es einen Punkt Abzug.
