Nice restaurant with delicious pizza.

The food tasted great, but a 90-minute wait is definitely too long… if the kitchen can't keep up, maybe they shouldn't offer a takeout service. What a shame!

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant both last week and last year. Unfortunately, the impression has deteriorated significantly – especially in terms of the quality of the food. There have obviously been changes in the kitchen, as the pizza tasted disappointing this time and was far below its previous level. It's likely that the pizza maker or cook has changed. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the food in its current form. While the service was solid, it lacked what one would expect from an Italian restaurant: warmth and genuine hospitality. Instead, we got the impression that the main focus here is on making quick sales. The owner, whom we recognized by sight, also seemed rather unsympathetic to us – which further tarnished the overall impression. In summary, unfortunately, we can no longer recommend it – neither the atmosphere nor the quality of the food is currently up to scratch.

Went there a few days ago with a large group. Super tasty pizza for a good price! The service itself was very nice and always friendly. 3. Stars for the service because many orders were forgotten or weren't quite right. But the pizza was so good that I would go again without a doubt.

Food was incredible, service unfortunately less so. We waited 50 minutes for an appetizer and were not told in advance that you could only pay in cash. It's a shame because the food is really a 10/10

Everything great! For me the absolute best pizzeria in Darmstadt and the surrounding area. A great family run kitchen. It simply tastes incredibly good! It's so beautifully decorated in there, just a bit dark from the ambience. That's really complaining at a high level. Absolute recommendation!

Birthday ruined!!! We thought we would order pizza and pasta together on my birthday and give Roma another chance after the last time we received the wrong order and waited 100 minutes (40 minutes longer than stated). Well, I ordered on the spot and the order was copied straight from my notes. After my friends wanted to pick up the food, they had to wait 15 minutes longer than expected. When they are called, they notice that one pasta was made too little and one pizza was made too much. When asked about this, no insight is shown, but they claim that we ordered it that way, even though they clearly didn't do it correctly. After much discussion, a portion of pasta is made. When paying, it turns out that the pasta with pesto is simply twice as expensive and costs €14 (tastes like barilla pesto). At home we realize that even a pizza is wrong. Both the service and the food used to be very good, but now I can only advise against it. And also being insulted because the order was made incorrectly. Simply bottomless...

Juice shop Ordered pizza 4 times and pasta 2 times. We said it would take an hour, but we waited 1:30 hours. Roma messed up the order (one time too few pasta) They then started discussing with us that we had ordered wrong. When we had the second pasta, we found out that the pasta was twice as expensive as it said online. I paid €14 for cheap pasta with green barilla pesto... I can do better... When we got home with dinner, we realized that one of the pizzas was wrong. Go to the schnitzel house or something. The food may be slightly worse there, but it comes quickly and correctly and you don't get yelled at.

Unfortunately, I now have to revise my rating. We used to always be satisfied, there was never anything to complain about, neither with the service nor with the food, and it was rightly one of our favorite local pizzerias. However, it has now happened more and more that after a long wait the order was wrong and then today there was a very inappropriate response, even though we had passed on the order in writing on site and checked again that everything was correct. The prices on the internet are no longer up to date and the pasta was twice as expensive and didn't do justice to the taste. It seems we are not the only ones where there are currently discrepancies... This also means you lose long-term customers.

Such a nice spot in north Darmstadt to have Pizza. It’s soo delicious and the staff are amazing. Absolutely worth the visit.

So I don't understand some of the negative reviews. I really know pizza, I think. The huge number of pizzerias in Germany that only sell their oven pizzas with analogue cheese and pressed meat makes you feel sick. At Pizzeria Roma, however, you feel like you're in Italy! The cheese, the tomatoes, the dough... Everything is almost 100% like in a pizzeria in Italy. Simply delicious. There are pizzerias here that are rated 4.2 or so, even though they serve really horrible German Gouda pizza, with German or doner salami. Terrible. But they are probably rated well precisely because they meet the German Wagner pizza taste. If you have a VERA Pizza, you will go to Pizzeria Roma.

If a restaurant's toilets are not clean, you cannot eat at that restaurant. The toilets in this restaurant are very dirty. Disgusting

It was with great disappointment that we had to leave the restaurant after an hour of waiting (7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) without any food or drinks. Apparently the order slip was lost in the kitchen. These cheap lies are intended to appease customers. The restaurant is run in an absolutely amateur way! I will never visit this place again. It was a nice attempt with great disappointment!

The pizza was very tasty, but since the restaurant was very busy, it was unfortunately a bit noisy.

On a mixed salad plate, the pizza sticks were cold and hard like pizza from the day before. I had never experienced that at Roma before. Was disappointed that day. Maybe fresh again next time.

The food is very, very good, someone here knows their craft excellently. However, there are some compromises in terms of service and ambience. The service is quite slow, not very accommodating but still friendly. The noise in the restaurant was unbearable. Our measuring device showed values ​​beyond 90dB. Nothing against social gatherings, but at a certain basic level there's really no need to turn the music up even louder so that everyone tries to drown out the music in their conversation -> and so on. Please leave the music off when the capacity is 60-70%. Nobody hears anyway, if in doubt nobody likes it and it creates an unpleasant volume that almost stopped us from coming at all. On the subject of service, it should be noted that I find the billing situation very worrying. Not only can you only pay in cash, the cash register is also drowning in handwritten paperwork. The orders are only transferred to the cash register when the invoice is requested. A rogue who thinks evil of it. Conclusion: The service could be a little more attentive and the music could be quieter or turned off. Card payment would also be desirable. There is now only a 1% levy per transaction. I also think that the tax can still be optimized a lot :)

Die Atmosphäre ist ganz okay, die Pizza hatte sehr wenig Geschmack (keine Kräuter, kaum Salz), dafür viel Rand. Ob 6€ für einen Liter Leitungswasser gerechtfertigt sind, kann jeder selbst beurteilen. Aber richtig irritiert hat mich die kleine Kamera auf der Theke, die ich beim Rausgehen entdeckte. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir gesagt, "die Chefin guckt gerne mal in ihren Laden".... Ja, dann soll sie vorbei kommen! Aber nicht ohne Hinweis die Gäste filmen!

I have always been very satisfied so far. This evening I was there and just wanted to order some pasta with cream sauce for my little daughter, we're feeling a little sick and didn't want to bother cooking. We ordered this from the service employee (he was very friendly). After 40 minutes I asked if our food was ready, but unfortunately he forgot about us and said that there was no cream sauce but only carbonara sauce. (Isn't that basically the same sauce?)(The place was very full and I understood, it can happen sometimes). He apologized profusely and assured me that he would take care of it and reorder it. After more than an hour I went back to the restaurant and asked if the food was ready yet. The employee's reaction was: oh yes, I'll take a look in the kitchen. It gave me the impression that it had been there for a while. When I got home, it was the wrong pasta, there was no sauce on it but a lot of pepper and that was for my four-year-old daughter (he noticed that it was for my daughter). I brought the noodles back and didn't even want my money back. That's a real shame and I'm annoyed that I have to be annoyed.

Wir haben die Atmosphäre des Martinsviertels im Außenbereich des Roma genossen. Als Vorspeise haben wir uns einen Italienischen Salat geteilt. Dann gab es als Hauptgang zwei Pizzen. Eine mit Büffelmozzarella und eine Mix mit extra Sardellen. Dazu leckere Äppler und zum Abschluss zwei gute Espressi. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und fand trotz ausgebuchter Terrasse noch immer zwei Plätze, indem sie ganz unkompliziert, von drinnen noch Tische raus brachten. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder her. Danke für den angenehmen Abend!

I can only recommend the pizza here and the staff is very accommodating. The outdoor area is in a quieter area in the Martinsviertel, which makes it very pleasant. The ambience inside is also beautifully designed. The only thing I find a bit unpleasant is the noise inside when the restaurant is very full. I can definitely recommend sitting outside.

We were here yesterday with the Schlemmerblock. I was last there years ago and had good memories, but unfortunately I wasn't convinced yesterday. We had made a reservation, unfortunately it didn't work out outside and we were added. Alternatively, we could have sat inside. We had to wait an hour for our starter (caprese) and the pizzas were brought out almost at the same time. Unfortunately the burata was out and instead there was mozzarella on the burata pizza (we were asked in between, but it's still a shame). The pizza was quite tasty, but unfortunately the edge was a bit burnt. No card payment possible, which is simply incomprehensible to me and ultimately leads to 3 stars. The service was very friendly. But overall our visit was unfortunately not that convincing, we probably won't come back, what a shame!

We arrived at the restaurant and wanted to ask for a table but none of the waiters paid us any attention. When we actively asked for a table again, we were offered a table. Unfortunately the waiters were still rather unfriendly. In addition, the waiting time was very long. Payment was only possible in cash or via Paypal through friends and family. We were not offered an invoice or receipt. Payment was very unpleasant and unfriendly.

The pizzas came quite quickly. Prices relatively normal. However, the chairs are hard and new ones would be appropriate. There were no problems with the gourmet block.

No card payment. At least you can pay via PayPal. Pizza was ok. When it gets more crowded, it gets quite loud. Several glasses of beer (which we hadn't ordered) were (accidentally) spilled over our table. There was no other excuse than that.

Great service, the waitresses are really on their toes and the food was served at an incredible speed. The food has never come so quickly. Pizzas were very tasty and crispy and the side salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. The volume level was a little high, but acceptable.

Only the pizza 🍕 is recommended. The aroma is known and good. It seems like the leadership is a little weaker or missing. That would be a shame. Table was occupied twice with a slot of 2 hours. This was not communicated when making the reservation or upon arrival. After slightly controversial discussions, it was regulated positively. But it just doesn't work that way. Billing and payment at the checkout is still not transparent and unfortunately no longer up to date. It's a shame to see such a beautiful location and good pizzeria slowly losing quality. Wake up before it's too late.

We were here for lunch and were completely satisfied. There was a great lunch special for 10.50 euros. Delicious salad, really good pizza and an espresso at the end. The homemade lemonade was also great. The positive experience was rounded off by the very nice waiter. We will be back definitely.

I ordered by phone. I actually wanted to go there almost a month ago, but they were closed until February 6th, so I went somewhere else and regretted being in the non-Italian place. So if you want a real Italian pizza you MUST go to Roma. Reminded me of the pizza in Pisa. Wowwww.. wanted to buy one again yesterday, I'll definitely get it soon. My favorite pizza shop. I only came across this because of an Instagram survey, I don't usually like eating outside.

A very unique, simply designed pizzeria with an atmosphere

Finally had a really good pizza in Darmstadt again. .

Our pizzas were really incredibly tasty 😍 the pizza bread was also super fluffy and aromatic. The yeast dough was one of the best we have ever eaten. Unfortunately the carbonara wasn't satisfactory. The egg was completely set and the protein was also included in the sauce. We would recommend the pizzeria if you want to eat authentic, aromatic and absolutely tasty pizza. We would advise against the pasta. The restaurant is rustically furnished and not particularly cozy. The pizzeria still has charm. However, we would have wished that the service staff had been a little more present. For example, we were no longer asked if we would like something to drink. This can definitely be expanded. Nevertheless we will come back.

A small corner locker cozy and stylishly furnished. The pizza is really great. If you want to eat a great pizza you definitely have to stop by there.

Food and drink as well as staff is very good. Unfortunately there is no receipt, it is added up using a calculator and only cash payment is possible. Although you can't even spend 3 euros. There is a receipt requirement in the catering industry. It is high time that card payments are made compulsory in Germany and cash is finally abolished. If Sweden and India can do that, we should also manage honest taxation of all services.
