Pizzeria Ristorante Il Girasole in Hallbergmoos

We spontaneously went to eat at Girasole after the thermal baths. Absolute recommendation!!! We were warmly welcomed and looked after, the children also felt very comfortable, and the food was delicious. Price performance absolutely fair!! We will certainly come back when we are nearby! Keep it up so friendly and tastyrrr!!

A little bit of Italy. Simply Perfect.

Highly recommended, we reserved half an hour in advance otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get a seat at 7:30 p.m.! At 8:30 p.m. the rush was over! The food was very good and the service can't be beat!

I had a disturbing experience here. The owner mistakenly thought I had left a negative review and reacted by rudely asking me to leave, despite my assurances that I wasn’t the person in question. He followed me outside, insisting I return and even grabbed my arm. I attempted to reason with him, but he refused to listen. This behavior was unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate, as I had initially come in to enjoy a meal but left feeling unfairly treated and shaken. Now you truly have a reason to accuse me.

We knocked on the door before the restaurant opened to be able to sit down with two children in the rain, but were repeatedly referred to the opening times by an employee inside. No problem, I thought if we just sat down and waited 20 minutes, it wouldn't be a drama, but unfortunately we were again made aware of the opening times by the employee. Unfortunately he didn't want to open the door either and so I couldn't explain to him that we were very patient. When we turned around and wanted to go towards the hotel, another employee gave us access. The food and drinks were good. But the best thing was the waiter who took care of us, you can tell that someone can deal with people. Thank you for the friendly service. You saved the evening after all.

A very authentic Italian experience! The shop is quite small and actually always full, because of the hotels nearby... so it can happen that you are sat at the table with “complete strangers”! I've already spent a few evenings there and had many interesting conversations!

Takeaway pizza: both relatively small, carelessly topped and without much taste. Vegetariana only topped with zucchini, eggplant and green peppers, dough was burnt. Expensive... Hopefully they try harder at the restaurant. Not recommended.

We tried the pizza bread (which sounded good) but it was so bad we couldn't eat it. The ham and onion pizza was just mediocre. My tiramisu was good. If I lived here, I would give them one more try but for our first time, we were not impressed.

I didn't really like the pizza, it can be improved

I have been here several times for dinner. Great food when you can actually get it. I would give it 5 stars but for the service or lack thereof. This restaurant is in an area just outside the airport with a lot of "airport" hotels. Most do not have "real" restaurants in them, so there are lots of people staying overnight, looking for a place to go out for dinner, and this is the only restaurant in the area (walking distance from all the hotels). It gets full every night for dinner, with people waiting, which is longer when the patio is closed due to weather. I haven't been here yet when they are not having a problem. #1 - They need more waiters. They are completely understaffed every single time. #2 - This has happened on more than one occasion...Cash Only! If you're having problems with your credit card processor, let people know immediately before you seat them. Not after seating them and sometimes serving them or even after their meal to let them know you can only take cash. Pointing 👉 to a small sign in German, when most of the patrons are not from Germany, but from all over the world, and after the fact, just doesn't cut it. At least have the sign located where everyone can easily see it, but maybe having it German and English would even be better. #3 - This has happened to me and many others... Okay, so where's the ATM? If a patron needs to get cash from the 1 ATM in the area, again, pointing 👉 down a road just doesn't cut it. By now, you should know that people will ask you where it is, and you should be able to quickly provide them with the precise location. It's not that difficult. Maybe it's time for them to get a new credit card processor or service provider or an ATM machine in the restaurant. Just sayin'

We were so grateful to find Il Girasole still open late at almost 10pm and willing to provide us with a takeout dinner after we arrived late evening in Hallbergmoos. The food being delicious was a bonus! The staff were helpful, efficient, and friendly.

I ordered by phone, after being handed over to another employee three times, it finally worked. I ordered Gnocchi Sorrentina for 13.50. I didn't even get a handful of gnocchi with little to no sauce. It didn't taste bad but it was totally overpriced for the price. In addition, the staff on site was very unfriendly. I politely asked if you could pay by card and responded very forcefully: I said that twice on the phone, it's too cheap for a card. Not a single word was said about payment over the phone. Maybe you can gain better experience on site. I will definitely not be ordering anything else to pick up.

Great food, service and price! Came here for a light bite of food when staying at a nearby airport hotel and I definitely recommend it over the food at the hotel. Waiters were all friendly. Food came quick.

Beware of dubious service!! We only had an EC card with us and the waiter first tried to force us to pay with cash. Then he gave in and “allowed” us to pay by card, becoming cheeky and almost insulting. I will consider reporting this incident to the relevant authorities. The food was okay (7/10)

It seemed like a nice enough place, even if one of the employees was a bit odd and simply parroted everything you said and then howled like a wolf instead of actually greeting you. The other server simply yelled rather gruffly. I’ve been to 100s of places in and around Germany over the years and this isn’t normal behavior. Well, maybe Hamburg (just kidding, love you, Hamburg) The food was…not great. The side of green beans, cauliflower, and potatoes, was served both hot and cold. As in, some of the vegetables were heated and some were not. All were dry. It was as if they had sat out and were quickly (and partially) reheated. The main was just overcooked (and also dry). The wine was average, but costly for what amounted to a table wine. The server overcharged (by about 10%) and then insisted on a tip (of about 12%) on top of that. And the service wasn’t outstanding. It wasn’t bad (despite the aforementioned weird behavior), but certainly not worth a 23% tip. Oh and this wasn’t just me, there were a couple of French gentlemen next to me that experienced the same. This wasn’t just a mistake. It was practiced. Anyway, it’s a pretty neat little racket they have going on since they’re basically the only non-hotel restaurant in the area. It’s usually INSIDE the airport where you are overcharged for below average food. This was the opposite. I’d recommend finding something elsewhere.

Salvatore is best man. Food is mega strong. If you like a good mood, this is the place for you.

They really make an effort to accommodate every guest: tables that are not yet fully occupied are filled with new guests. Unusual these days, but actually perfectly fine. Delicious dishes, quick service, reasonable prices.

Small “shortcoming”: Unfortunately it is only open on weekdays from Monday to Friday (as information for guests who are in Hallbergmoos on the weekend).

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The resraurant was crowded and busy when we arrived for dinner at 7pm. Surprisingly, we were seated immediately. There w,ere only a few waiters and were all male. They buzzed around providing excellent service. Despite their heavy workload, they were cheerful and friendly and enjoyed bantering with one another and with the chef. We enjoyed the spectacle. We ordered pizza, a salad and a liter of wine. Everything was excellent. We highly recommmend this restaurant!

Small but fine restaurant with incredibly delicious food. The best bruschetta I have ever eaten outside of Italy. The pizza is almost perfect. The hosts were very nice, quick, accommodating. The only drawback: the background noise. Because the restaurant is so small but very busy, the background noise is enormous. Otherwise, definitely worth at least one visit! We'll definitely be back

It's a small but nice Italian restaurant with very friendly staff and fast service. We happened to be in the hotel next door and the Italian was pretty much the only restaurant nearby. We had bruschetta and a salad for starters. Pizza and pasta as the main course. Everything was great and well above our expectations and at a very fair price! We recommend.
