Was hungry for some Italian food and found this place in our way to Porta Nigra. The service was good and the food arrived really quick, which our stomachs appreciated. The lasagna was tasty and very filling, my bistecca gorgonzola was very yummy. Would definitely recommend. The staff was very nice to our dog as well.

Highly recommended. Very tasty (vegan) pizza with a super crispy base. Overall, there's a wide variety of dishes, so there's something for everyone. The service is very attentive and friendly.

My girlfriend and I dined here during a weekend trip to Trier. We received a warm welcome. The rosé wine was delicious, as was the food. The owners are clearly hard-working and very friendly. They asked several times if everything was to our liking and where we were from, which led to a pleasant conversation. After we paid, they gave us a limoncello. If we ever return to Trier, we will definitely return.

Giulia is the perfect hostess, welcoming every customer with that warm Italian flair. This restaurant has become our regular spot in Trier. Reservations are recommended to secure a table. Delicious Italian dishes and giant pizzas.

warm sultry evening around 35 °. the table we chose, one of many, we were not allowed to take because it had not been wiped and was wobbly........ The one we chose next was also not wiped and was also wobbly, adjusted the screw under the leg and done. I ordered the tagliatelle with salmon in a creamy sauce. This was really the most boring dish ever, the salmon was a bit overcooked, the sauce had little to no taste, no seasoning at all, a pity. My wife had a cold mango salad with burata, which she found very tasty and fresh, but we both missed some bread.

The food was really great. Not all of the pizzas we ordered were the right size, but that was quickly resolved. Note: The pizzas that were delivered were also hot and delicious.

Delighted with everything. We had a wonderful lunch with an excellent tuna salad, a pasta dish, and lasagna. Excellent service and classic Italian food. Highly recommended.

We've been waiting for food for an hour and a half. After checking with the restaurant, they said we rang the bell, our store is 400 meters from the restaurant, and the store doesn't have a doorbell. The store is open until 8 p.m. during the day. With the door open! Thanks for nothing!

We decided on this Italian restaurant quite spontaneously on a Saturday evening and even managed to get a seat. The pizza is breathtakingly good, the wine was good, and the service was extremely attentive and friendly. If we're ever in Trier again, we'd definitely come back.

Pizza arrived without rocket and parmesan because the driver forgot it, which of course can happen. But when I called and asked, I was told that the driver would be asked and would come by again. I assumed that I would be informed. After another 20 minutes of waiting, I called again because I wasn't called back. The driver was then said to be on the way. After another 20 minutes I called again. I was laughingly asked if I couldn't eat pizza without arugula... So I had to justify the fact that I ordered the pizza that way (of course I also paid for it) and of course I'm waiting for the arugula because if I eat the pizza like that I'll just have a bunch of arugula left over. I fully understand that sometimes you can forget something. You just can't have to wait over an hour for it. I can't say much else about the food since the pizza is now cold. It's a shame, because the kitchen can't do anything about it.

Yesterday we were in this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately also the last time! Pizza was ok. The carpaccio (meat) was definitely older...far too thick and already a brown color on the back! The steak was chewy like chewing gum The fries were fried twice and just hard as a rock! Simply annoying when you pay around €100 for something like that! Unfortunately, no more visits from our side.

Its my first time in this place and the experience was not great at all. Im putting 2 stars in the service bc of the man who assisted us, wasnt nice at all, some of us had an especial request with the condition of the steak (médium) and it came durch and we complaint about it but the man didnt accept it, he Just say the Steak ist like that. The other 2 women were amazing. On top of that, I ordered pollo a la griglia. It costed 16 euro for 100-120g!! And very small portion of chips ( pommes). I know its my first time so if I ever come back id change the review in case I get a better experience.

Actually everything is good, but... Popular Italian restaurant in the city, always quite busy, so make a reservation. Pizzas good but like all dishes very mildly seasoned (you should keep this in mind when ordering) The service is friendly and fast (especially in the front part of the restaurant, further back you will be forgotten) Well suited for a visit to the restaurant without a special occasion. Not recommended outside in summer.

Unfortunately, all of the dishes were hardly seasoned. Vegan pizza didn't taste good at all, which was due to the vegan cheese. However, the staff was very friendly and competent. In addition, the atmosphere was very inviting.

We visited the Christmas market. We hadn't made a reservation and as a family of 3 we were already directed to 4 restaurants. Giuseppe's service made everything possible for us to get a place. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, I mistranslated the menu for my daughter and my daughter had different expectations of the food. Here too, everything was made possible to meet the child's expectations. One thing is certain for us: on the next visits to Trier, only Giuseppe will be there

I ordered the food to be delivered and it came in 2 hours and the pizza wasn't snowed and I also ordered fries extra but there were fries on the pizza.

Here you can dine centrally in Trier with excellent Italian cuisine. We put our hearts and souls into ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable and stylish. It's almost impossible for you to lack something. If you are in town or even just nearby: look no further!

Meine 36 cm Pizza Marinara war wirklich riesig, und sowohl lecker als auch üppig belegt. Gleiches gilt für das Bolognese Schnitzel mit Spaghetti meiner lieben Frau. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Preisniveau ist für diese Qualität sehr angemessen.

Really bad, be careful when ordering, the driver could only give me €5 in change instead of €15, he would have given all the change to the customer beforehand but he would have to go back to the customer straight away, so he would bring me the remaining €10 He would be back in 10 minutes, but no one has come so far, the restaurant doesn't respond.

Lots of people and no intimacy like in fast food.

We took a seat on the outdoor terrace. To start with, we had to wait a very long time for the menu, while visitors - who came after us - received a menu more quickly. However, the terrace was not full at that time. After waiting 20 minutes, without a map, we left. Shame.

Ordered beef carpaccio, although it was a starter, really small portion. The meat was totally watered down, not seasoned & just slapped into the packaging. For the price, totally underground. The pizza (small) with extra scampi, olives and garlic arrived totally cold. There was no garlic at all. And paid over €40 for both including delivery costs. Unfortunately it is absolutely not recommended, it was very disappointing for the price 🙄

Amazing Italian place run by a true Italian, who knows his craft.... bravissimo!

I've known the Meninno family for 5 years and have been to their restaurants, including the predecessor Villa Venezia between 2018 and 2021, 75 times now as of January 2024. I've never been disappointed and, basically without exception, have been delighted by the authentic Italian atmosphere, the warm reception and attentive service by family and staff, the great quality of the food, and the interesting selection of wines. For the above reasons, Da Giuseppe is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in Trier and I'm looking forward to the next 75 visits :)

The pizzas were amazing, we were actually just walking passed and seen a few people eating so decided to go in as the pizzas looked really good and they didn't disappoint. The service was quite slow considering we were actually the only people there by the time we had finished. I went in to ask for the bill as the staff were inside chatting I then went back in 10 minutes later to ask again. This was the only negative though so as long as you don't need to catch a train like we did then I would recommend this place.

We were in Trier over the weekend and spontaneously stopped by while looking for a restaurant. We liked the pasta so much that we went back to eat it the next day. The pizza was also absolutely delicious. Service was very friendly and the price was also great.

We've been there several times now and tried a wide variety of dishes. What can I say, everything there tastes like a vacation in Italy. Many thanks to the lovely team for such a successful evening every time.

Food and service were great, outdoor seating was ok, unfortunately shuttle buses constantly drove past me (approx. 50cm distance).

Authentic Italian with delicious food. The employees are very friendly, although there can be short waiting times when there is a high rush as there are only three waiters on duty, all of whom speak Italian. The dining room wasn't too loud, but it can get warm in some areas due to the open kitchen. The pizzas were large and excellent, but the panna cotta was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Unfortunately, the male waitress was so extremely annoyed and in a bad mood that I felt totally uncomfortable. Everyone can have a bad day, but here I think someone missed their job... But the pizza was delicious and the other conditions were very good.

The pizzeria was recommended to us and we wanted to end the day on a nice note. Immediately found a free table. The waitress seemed nice, but we then had to ask the waiter for the menu. The waiter seemed a bit stressed. We also had to wait a little longer for our food, which we justified by the fact that the pizzeria was very busy. The carpaccio must have been too close to a warm plate, because it was no longer red and rather lightly cooked. On the other hand, the pizza was very good. Even though the waiters saw that we were finished, we were ignored, which we - two women - didn't think was nice. We've been here in Trier for two days, but we wouldn't go to the pizzeria again. Actually, it's a shame. We didn't feel comfortable.

Delicious food, good portions, good value for money

Good food, we had to wait a long time to order our food. The waiter had few words. Cozy terrace with some wasps.

I had lunch here twice. First day food and service was excellent. Second day had a male waiter who seemed more keen on roaming around shouting in Italian and doing things other than serving people. Also on second had pizza marinara..very little in the way of marinara. I suggest avoiding seafood pizza unless you are happy with very little seafood.

Good pizzeria, you can choose between pizzas of 30 or 40 cm diameter. You can eat outside on the terrace in a car-free street.

The food is freshly cooked and you can watch the chefs and pizza makers at work. It tastes fantastic (we were there three evenings in a row and tried everything on the menu) and the portions are made for the big appetite. The service is incredibly attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is simply great. Any time!

We had dinner there with good friends and it was a great evening. All pizzas were super tasty. The service was very attentive and friendly, especially to our friends' child. The little one even got a heart ❤️ pizza baked. We always enjoy going there to eat 👍.

Blijf hier weg als toerist. Eten is ok, bediening is verschrikkelijk. 50 minuten gewacht op bruschetta's terwijl iedereen rondom al lang hoofdgerecht had. Buiten een simpele "probleem in de keuken" geen enkele uitleg. Dan nog eens 30 minuten voor een gewone pasta. Bij afrekenen kregen bijna alle tafels de vraag om nog een digestief van het huis te nemen. Deze vraag niet gekregen (hoeft voor alle duidelijkheid ook niet maar als je het op één plaats vraagt, doe het dan overal). Het enige wat er wel direct kwam was de rekening zodat we konden opkrassen en plaats maken voor iemand anders

Sehr lang gewarted. Unfreundlich. 50 minutes for bruschetta and then more than 30 minutes for a simple spaghetti . Not even An appolagize or compensation.
