Here you can dine centrally in Trier with excellent Italian cuisine. We put our hearts and souls into ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable and stylish. It's almost impossible for you to lack something. If you are in town or even just nearby: look no further!

Really bad, be careful when ordering, the driver could only give me €5 in change instead of €15, he would have given all the change to the customer beforehand but he would have to go back to the customer straight away, so he would bring me the remaining €10 He would be back in 10 minutes, but no one has come so far, the restaurant doesn't respond.

Lots of people and no intimacy like in fast food.

We took a seat on the outdoor terrace. To start with, we had to wait a very long time for the menu, while visitors - who came after us - received a menu more quickly. However, the terrace was not full at that time. After waiting 20 minutes, without a map, we left. Shame.

Ordered beef carpaccio, although it was a starter, really small portion. The meat was totally watered down, not seasoned & just slapped into the packaging. For the price, totally underground. The pizza (small) with extra scampi, olives and garlic arrived totally cold. There was no garlic at all. And paid over €40 for both including delivery costs. Unfortunately it is absolutely not recommended, it was very disappointing for the price 🙄

Amazing Italian place run by a true Italian, who knows his craft.... bravissimo!

I've known the Meninno family for 5 years and have been to their restaurants, including the predecessor Villa Venezia between 2018 and 2021, 75 times now as of January 2024. I've never been disappointed and, basically without exception, have been delighted by the authentic Italian atmosphere, the warm reception and attentive service by family and staff, the great quality of the food, and the interesting selection of wines. For the above reasons, Da Giuseppe is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in Trier and I'm looking forward to the next 75 visits :)

The pizzas were amazing, we were actually just walking passed and seen a few people eating so decided to go in as the pizzas looked really good and they didn't disappoint. The service was quite slow considering we were actually the only people there by the time we had finished. I went in to ask for the bill as the staff were inside chatting I then went back in 10 minutes later to ask again. This was the only negative though so as long as you don't need to catch a train like we did then I would recommend this place.

We were in Trier over the weekend and spontaneously stopped by while looking for a restaurant. We liked the pasta so much that we went back to eat it the next day. The pizza was also absolutely delicious. Service was very friendly and the price was also great.

We've been there several times now and tried a wide variety of dishes. What can I say, everything there tastes like a vacation in Italy. Many thanks to the lovely team for such a successful evening every time.

Food and service were great, outdoor seating was ok, unfortunately shuttle buses constantly drove past me (approx. 50cm distance).

Authentic Italian with delicious food. The employees are very friendly, although there can be short waiting times when there is a high rush as there are only three waiters on duty, all of whom speak Italian. The dining room wasn't too loud, but it can get warm in some areas due to the open kitchen. The pizzas were large and excellent, but the panna cotta was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Delicious food, good portions, good value for money

Unfortunately, the male waitress was so extremely annoyed and in a bad mood that I felt totally uncomfortable. Everyone can have a bad day, but here I think someone missed their job... But the pizza was delicious and the other conditions were very good.

The pizzeria was recommended to us and we wanted to end the day on a nice note. Immediately found a free table. The waitress seemed nice, but we then had to ask the waiter for the menu. The waiter seemed a bit stressed. We also had to wait a little longer for our food, which we justified by the fact that the pizzeria was very busy. The carpaccio must have been too close to a warm plate, because it was no longer red and rather lightly cooked. On the other hand, the pizza was very good. Even though the waiters saw that we were finished, we were ignored, which we - two women - didn't think was nice. We've been here in Trier for two days, but we wouldn't go to the pizzeria again. Actually, it's a shame. We didn't feel comfortable.

Good pizzeria, you can choose between pizzas of 30 or 40 cm diameter. You can eat outside on the terrace in a car-free street.

I had lunch here twice. First day food and service was excellent. Second day had a male waiter who seemed more keen on roaming around shouting in Italian and doing things other than serving people. Also on second had pizza marinara..very little in the way of marinara. I suggest avoiding seafood pizza unless you are happy with very little seafood.

The food is freshly cooked and you can watch the chefs and pizza makers at work. It tastes fantastic (we were there three evenings in a row and tried everything on the menu) and the portions are made for the big appetite. The service is incredibly attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is simply great. Any time!

Blijf hier weg als toerist. Eten is ok, bediening is verschrikkelijk. 50 minuten gewacht op bruschetta's terwijl iedereen rondom al lang hoofdgerecht had. Buiten een simpele "probleem in de keuken" geen enkele uitleg. Dan nog eens 30 minuten voor een gewone pasta. Bij afrekenen kregen bijna alle tafels de vraag om nog een digestief van het huis te nemen. Deze vraag niet gekregen (hoeft voor alle duidelijkheid ook niet maar als je het op één plaats vraagt, doe het dan overal). Het enige wat er wel direct kwam was de rekening zodat we konden opkrassen en plaats maken voor iemand anders

We waited for more than 50 minutes for bruschetta and then for more than 30 minutes for a simple spaghetti. They even don't appolagize for it. We were just tourists. Absolutely tourist trap. When the Bill comes, everybody gets An limoncello of the house. But not the tourists. You can only pass there if you have a lot of time.not recommandable

Pizza was very tasty but the service was extremely arrogant! We were two families and had an order value of over 100 EUR. When we wanted to pay by card, the lady who took our order said that the card machine wasn't working at the moment. However, just ten minutes earlier, I had seen in front of my eyes that another customer had paid by card without any problems. Another time I ordered pizza to be picked up via Lieferando. When we picked up the pizza, the kids wanted to eat it at the restaurant. The lady explained to us that this was not allowed because of the tax office and an alleged fine of EUR 5,000 and refused. That was very disappointing. Based on these experiences, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

Best pizza in Trier ♥️🙏 The other dishes are also all recommended. We love coming here because of the pizza and eat salad and vitello tonnato as a starter. The bread is homemade. Service is great. Please pay cash in this restaurant.

The food was good and the wine too, but for over 20€ for 6 homemade noodles it's a bit stingy...!!! And when I asked, I was answered with arrogance that it was normal because it was homemade... and something about VAT. I have NEVER seen such a ridiculously small portion in all of Luxembourg (even though the rent costs almost twice as much) as any honest restaurateur I would be ashamed to serve such portions... My wife was able to eat his ridiculous portion of pasta alone because my pizza arrived 15 minutes later. First and last time eaten here. REALLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

I came here for a trip with school and me and my friends decided to pop in here for a lunch. I had my doubts in the beginning but I quickly changed my mind. The woman working there was extremely nice and really helped out with choosing the dishes. Oh and did I mention that they had like 3 pages for only pizza. Once the pizzas arrived I realized that if they mean large they really mean it. The pizzas were huge and were even bigger than the plate! The taste of the pizza was just sublime and that’s without the delicious homemade spicy oil sauce added onto the slice. Overall the place is clean and prices are good. Would definitely recommend to everybody who’s looking for a nice Italian meal in Trier!

Pizza good (Italians should do it too). My minestrone, a lot of vegetables but without taste and Italian influence. Scaloppina al Vino Bianco are not recommended = meat more schnitzel than what Italian Scaloppina is supposed to be (thinner slices of meat), the sauce due to too much flour, not what you expect = Italian is different! Cook for us only suitable for pizza.

A cozy and - thanks to clever interior design - pleasantly quiet restaurant, you can have a conversation without having to shout. Neat and clean, exemplary toilets. The waitresses are competent and extremely friendly, without seeming fake. All the food we ordered (soup, pizza, schnitzel, penne, various desserts, including a very excellent tiramisu) was a success, as was the extensive drinks menu. All of this with a very good price-performance ratio. Absolutely recommended!

Nice pizza and a cozy little restaurant in Trier Center. Staff is pleasant and speak English. Pizza is of the Italian thin crust style just to warn you, not a puffy fluffy crust of the neapolitan kind. Also great beer! All good 4/5.

I didn't think that all of the Lieferando reviews were correct. Pizza soggy and dough tough, bruschetta or baguette definitely from yesterday at least. Driver extremely unpleasant. One would say it was worth a try, but that's how it stays. A pity. Prices are all going up and quality is going down. Let's see how long restaurants can afford something like this...

We have rarely eaten such a delicious and excellently prepared pizza as we did here. Grade 1a!!! In addition, we felt completely at home there straight away, as the staff were extremely friendly and created a great atmosphere. Although we only discovered it “by chance” on a day trip from Aachen to Trier, we already know that we will definitely stop there again at some point. That was “Italy (Naples) in Germany” - driving over 1,500 kilometers less to eat a class of pizza. Highly Recommended. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Insalata Piccola with pastries was good. As Tagliatella Scampi Zucchini Gamberetti, I initially received ribbon noodles with only 2 pieces of shrimp... After my announcement, I was given another portion with several small shrimps but with overcooked noodles and burnt, fatty sauce with no taste... I was hungry, but I could hardly eat it eat. Afterwards I had problems with my stomach that night... Paying by card was impossible because of a "problem with the internet"... When paying, even though I left the rest of the pasta on the plate, I wasn't asked whether I liked it …

Typical Italian restaurants, in the middle of Trier's pedestrian zone. Pizza has been baked there in the Italian tradition for several years. Tommaso the pizza maker is a die-hard Neapolitan who puts his heart and blood into making his art taste good on the table.

Disappointment. We ordered the pizza based on a recommendation and were 100% disappointed. Instead of salmon on the pizza there was chicken as a topping and both pizzas were cold, soggy, unseasoned and inedible. A pity! Not recommended for an order!

We came by spontaneously on Sunday with three families and despite the good attendance, we still managed to get two large tables. Service was top and the food was very tasty. The toilet was clean and all toiletries were stocked - which is a must for me 👌 All in all a pleasant stay. We'd love to come back!

Man kann den Eindruck nicht abschütteln, daß sich fast alle Trierer Restaurantbesitzer irgendwie darauf verständigt haben, am Montag ihren Ruhetag zu nehmen -- sehr frustierend für einen Besucher der Stadt, der abends ewig durch die Stadt irrt auf der Suche nach einem Essensangebot. In dieser Situation landete ich mehr zufällig im Ristorante Da Giuseppe, weil dieser klugerweise sich seinen Ruhetag lieber jeweils mittwochs gönnt. Hier gefiel mir sofort die freundliche, fast familiär anmutende Atmosphäre. Und noch etwas erregte meine Aufmerksamkeit. Ich bin beim Besuch italienischer Restaurants hierzulande sehr oft zutiefst verärgert über den Umstand, daß die Köche es sich wider besseres Wissen allzu bequem machen und Spaghetti carbonara lediglich mit gekochtem Schinken und Sahnesoße servieren in dem Bewußtsein, daß das mit der gleichnamigen Spezialität ihres Landes überhaupt nichts zu tun hat. Das ist bei Giuseppe zwar nicht anders, aber -- man staune -- es gibt hier alternativ wahlweise auch die italienische Version mit Speck, Ei und Olivenöl (natürlich ohne Sahne). Die bestellte ich sogleich und mir war klar, daß es hierzu eines Öls von guter Qualität bedarf, um das Gericht geschmacklich vorteilhaft abzurunden. Was ich erhielt, war zunächst einmal eine wahre Riesenportion Nudeln, optisch spektakulär aufgetürmt. Die habe ich nur deshalb bewältigt, weil ich an diesem Tag seit zehn Stunden nichts gegessen hatte und daher entsprechend hungrig war. Angesichts der sehr nudellastigen und insgesamt relativ fad schmeckenden Kreation muß ich zwar zugeben, in Italien und in der italienischen Schweiz hin und wieder schon weitaus wohlschmeckendere Carbonara-Versionen kredenzt bekommen zu haben, aber aufgrund mehrerer qualitativ desaströser Erlebnisse in anderen Trierer Restaurants mit italienischer Küche würde ich durchaus wieder ins Giuseppe gehen und vielleicht auch die Carbonara bestellen. Zum Auftakt hatte ich übrigens eine Minestrone -- gut abgeschmeckte heiße Brühe mit Bohnen, Erbsen und Karottenstücken. Auch das war annehmbar.

Väldigt dålig service av otrevlig personal. Vi var de enda gästerna på restaurangen , personalen var många. Vi fick vänta länge på att beställa och sedan vääääldigt länge på att maten kom. När vi skulle betala fick vi veta av en mycket otrevlig tjej att deras betalkortsterminal inte fungerade. Det kunde ta mycket lång tid för den att starta om den ens skulle starta fick vi veta. Hade varit enkelt för personalen att informera om det innan. Så hade vi kunnat hämta ut pengar innan eller valt en annan restaurang.

Man hat uns dieses Restaurant empfohlen . Würde jedoch kein zweites mal dorthin gehen da es weder vom Ambiente noch vom Essen spektakulär war. Besonders hat mich geärgert das man uns mit Getränken und dem Essen vergessen hatte trotz das wir vorbestellt hatten. Meine Tagliatelle durfte ich dann alleine essen da mein Mann seine Pizza 15 min vor mir bekam. Fand ich dann nicht so prickelnd!. Hätte wahrscheinlich immer noch nicht gemeckert wenn es dann geschmeckt hätte. Nichts was ich daheim nicht selber machen könnte. Die Pizza jedoch von meinem Mann war gut und sehr groß.....

Wir kommen gerne zum Essen hier vorbei. Geschmacklich immer sehr gut. Bitte gebt aber bei Pizza schärfere Messer dazu, sonst macht es wirklich keinen Spaß!

Super leckere Pizza und Nachtisch. Bei der Pizza wurden Sonderwünsche ohne Probleme berücksichtigt. Netter und schneller Service, nicht aufdringlich sondern aufmerksam. Ohne Reservierung haben wir für 6 Leute einen Tisch bekommen und alle waren zufrieden. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Trotz vieler Gäste mit Reservierungen haben wir noch einen Tisch für Zwei bekommen. Service schnell und freundlich. Bruschetta als Vorspeise war geschmacklich etwas flach , dafür waren die Spaghetti mit gegrilltem Lachs sehr lecker. Beim Bezahlen dann erfahren, dass Kartenzahlung nicht funktioniere.

Haben spontan zu dritt noch einen Tisch bekommen. 3 unterschiedliche Gerichte Rinderfilet, Pizza und Tortellini Alles war richtig lecker und reichlich. War zwar unser erster, sicher aber nicht unser letzter Besuch.

Wir waren abends in diesem Lokal und bekamen glücklicherweise noch einen Tisch. Es war sehr gut besucht. Der Kellner nahm sich trotzdem für uns Zeit. Die Riesenpizza ( 40cm) wurde uns auf Wunsch mit Mozzarella serviert und schmeckte sehr gut. Ein liebevoll angerichtetes Tiramisu rundete den positiven Eindruck ab. Ein ausreichendes Angebot an guten Flaschenweinen ist vorhanden. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Das Restaurant ist empfehlenswert.

Essen war sehr gut. Bruschetta Spaghetti Carbonara Tortellini alla panna 2 Warsteiner 42€ Service war schleppend und leider würde unser zweites Getränk vergessen. Limocelli gab es aufs Haus.

Während meiner Mittagspause auf einer Dienstreise in Trier habe ich die Pizzeria Ristorante da Giuseppe besucht und hatte eine äußerst positive Erfahrung. Schon beim Betreten des Lokals fiel mir die freundliche Bedienung auf, und die Atmosphäre wurde durch die vielen Italiener im Restaurant noch authentischer. Ich entschied mich für eine Minestrone als Vorspeise und eine große Pizza als Hauptgang. Die Minestrone war köstlich, und die Pizza Caprese übertraf alle Erwartungen. Mit dünnem Teig, frischem Mozzarella, Tomatensauce und einem Geschmack, der wirklich italienisch war, hat sie genau meinen Geschmack getroffen. Allerdings habe ich nicht bedacht, dass 40 cm Durchmesser wirklich riesig sind – 30 cm hätten vollkommen ausgereicht. Dennoch war jeder Bissen ein Genuss. Auch der Espresso war perfekt zubereitet, genau so, wie er sein sollte. Die junge Dame, die uns bediente, war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich fühlte mich rundum wohl. Die Toiletten waren zudem sehr sauber, was den Gesamteindruck abrundete. Insgesamt war mein Besuch bei Pizzeria Ristorante da Giuseppe ein kulinarisches Highlight, begleitet von hervorragendem Service und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Ich komme gerne wieder!
