One day, my son escaped from the playground and ran toward the Penny supermarket. The owner of the Quartieri Spagnoli pizzeria saw the child running around without his parents. He stopped the boy and called the police. Feeling the boy was lost, he gave him a nice pizza and a drink. My son felt comfortable with them. I ran after my son, and he saw me and said to me, "Are you looking for a boy? Show me my son enjoying a special pizza." I thanked him, but he refused to take the price of the pizza. The best pizza I've ever eaten, and the best man.

Really bad experience! We ordered 9 pizzas as we were in 9 and they told us they only had 5 pizzas left so 4 of us had to choose pasta. Then they made alle 9 pizzas but terrible work: too small and not cooked at all. Never heard of a pizzeria that runs out of pizzas of a Friday night. First and last time here! NOT recommended.

A truly disappointing experience. I called to ask how long a pizza would take, but I received an unfriendly and unprofessional response. I was told, "We're full right now, we don't have time, maybe later, definitely sometime," in an annoyed and rude tone. I then asked if I could come by and wait for the pizza, but again, I received a dismissive response. I understand that it can be busy, but friendliness and respect for customers should always be a given. Unfortunately, I won't be returning and cannot recommend this pizzeria due to the rude treatment.

The approach is really good: beautiful interior, high-quality ingredients, and a good oven. Our experience, however, was disappointing: Based on the many very good reviews, we went there – and received two pizzas, some of which were severely burnt. A few dark blisters on the pizza are perfectly normal, but in this case, large portions of the pizza and even the base were burnt. How can something like that be served to guests? Both the pizza chef and the server should have realized that the pizzas were unfit to serve in this condition. The topping on the mortadella pizza was also disappointing: there was so little fior di latte that the base was completely crispy and dry in the middle – and only four very thin slices of mortadella on top. Maybe we just had a bad day – otherwise, the consistently high rating of 4.9 stars is hard to explain. We will definitely come back and give the pizza another chance the next time we're in the area.

Here you can find delicious Neapolitan pizza at reasonable prices. For me, it's the best pizza in the area. The fried Nutella pizza for dessert is also special and truly delicious; it's best not to eat it alone... The ambiance is cool, and due to the size, it's advisable to make a reservation in advance.

A quaint little pizzeria in the Hemshof district, but it could just as easily be located in the heart of Naples. I've been dying to try a "pizza fritta" (Neapolitan street food), which is one of the dishes they offer here and is delicious. Anyone craving a southern Italian holiday feeling is in good hands here with Neapolitan music, a fitting ambiance, and Italian beer.

Highly recommended, the best pizza... First, we had the appetizer plate with Frutti de Mare, cheese, olives, salami, etc. The main course was superb pizza and pasta with a generous portion of seafood. Italian desserts, the fried pizza with pistachio cream was exceptional... super... super delicious, very friendly staff, fresh, high-quality ingredients, a pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back.

Today, on a recommendation, we visited Quartieri Spagnoli for the first time. It was perfect from start to finish. From the ambiance to the exceptionally good pizza to the incredibly friendly service. We're from Italy ourselves, and I felt like I was back home for a bit.

Best Sicilian pizzeria in Ludwigshafen.

The outdoor ambiance was quite okay. The service was very friendly. The pizza tasted great, but unfortunately, it was completely soggy. The offered side salad (not on the menu) was charged at €13.50. A completely extortionate price!

Visited for something different than usual during the dog show with my Eurasiers. And I wasn't disappointed; I got a truly "super" 🥲 delicious pizza. For the salad, I chose the tuna one, which was delicious. So, from my side, I'm giving the food a full 5 stars 🤗 But, you shouldn't give a new guest a plate with a bit of a chip on it. Just be careful next time.

I've been searching for a real pizza like the one in Naples for a long time in Germany, and I've finally found it here! The dough is perfect, the mozzarella is wonderful, and the pizza bread has the perfect microstructure. Highly recommended!

What a stroke of luck, right in the heart of Hemshof! I discovered it by chance last night and was absolutely thrilled. The service was super friendly and the recommendation was fantastic: I had the Pizza Maradona – and it was by far the best Neapolitan pizza I've had in Germany so far. I'm looking forward to the next time!

A true slice of Italy! The Neapolitan pizzas are simply fantastic; everything is freshly prepared, full of flavor, and made with love. In the kitchen and at the stone oven, there's someone who knows exactly what Italian food should taste like. The entire team is incredibly welcoming and immediately puts you in a good mood. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you can sense the Italian flair; you almost feel like you're on vacation in Naples. We were so impressed that we immediately planned our next visit and made a reservation. It's definitely worth a visit!

I've been a customer for years and I'm happy to come back and recommend to all my friends and acquaintances, a real highlight in Ludwigshafen, but unfortunately last Friday we waited for an hour for Uber and my favorite pizzaiola no longer works there, the dough wasn't crispy, it was soft like at Rosso vivo in Mannheim, I wanted to order water at room temperature and the owner forbade the waiter to come and get me, totally unfriendly. It's a shame it was always a pleasure for me to eat there, it was really like being in Naples in the Quartiere Spagnoli I'm totally sad 😢 I hope maybe in a few months I'll meet the old employee again and everything will be sooner... Hope dies at the last ps Pizza has also become smaller but dough is really no longer good / I deleted the photo but I keep in my heart ❤️ the beautiful memories that no one can delete 🥲 sad really sad was gladly there

Danger! Every critical review will be deleted! Original review: Was immediately greeted unfriendly. We got the wrong food and still kept it out of indulgence, but unfortunately we didn't get any kind of accommodation from the restaurant in this regard. Burrata salad far too small for over €15 and only 3 mini cherry tomatoes in it. Very unfriendly service. Totally inattentive, sometimes we ate without plates because we shared the food and put it in the middle. Strangely, the waiter was very quick to clear away the food. The waiter caused problems when paying because he wanted us to pay in cash. I don't understand how the restaurant can be rated so well. We only came because of the good reviews and will avoid the restaurant in the future.

We went here for dinner this evening based on a recommendation. The food is highly recommended and the service is also great. We will come back very soon.

The pizza was very tasty, my friend was made a white pizza after a lack of understanding (thanks for that)! We both thought it tasted very good I think the man behind the counter was pretty stressed and showed it, but unfortunately he was a bit relaxed... and the pizza was very expensive… we spent €47 for 2 pizzas and two glasses of that Paid house wine.

I just called and was surprised at the rude tone. My girlfriend and I wanted to order two pizzas and asked if there was a chicken and mushroom pizza. The only answer was that nothing like that was offered - and without further explanation the conversation ended with a curt “bye”. I find this kind of behavior towards customers unprofessional.

The pizza (Toto) was tasty, but there weren't enough toppings on it, there were more onions than tuna and the olives weren't pitted. You have to reserve in advance, he was able to offer us a place. The man at the reception said to us “you are making so much stress just for a pizza” even though we could have left but he offered us a place.

The pizza was really, really good and the atmosphere was also very nice. Unfortunately I'm only giving 4 stars because they got the pizza wrong (I ordered a white pizza with tomato sauce). However, the staff was immediately ready to make them right. The pizza fritta was also very good. Tomato sauce was still charged, but unfortunately I didn't notice it straight away as they didn't provide a receipt. The prices are relatively high, but if I'm in the area again I would still go there again.

After several recommendations, we wanted to try the culinary rarities here too. Table reserved. There on time. People were waiting outside, the door was locked. You were invited in. Small room, ok. Things can get tight when you come and go. The boss handles everything here personally. Casual atmosphere, a touch of street art and interesting furnishings. It took more than 30 minutes for the appetizer platter to be served. 38€. Ingredients good. For this money, the size of the plate should be more important than the quantity of the variety. Dry arugula salad was the largest portion. The main course was good, but not exceptional. After about 1 hour we wanted to have some wine and dessert. Instead, we were told that we couldn't stay any longer because there were already people waiting outside. So we had about an hour to eat and we paid while standing up to the boss. We've never experienced anything like this before. Feed it, pay it, go. Such an approach should have been informed when making the reservation. You are complimented as a customer, profit before customer loyalty. Comfortable is different. Food is overpriced. It is also allowed if the quality is good. As I said, it was good, but it's also good elsewhere, sometimes better. I didn't feel welcome as a guest. We won't eat there again.

We reserved a table and ordered our pizzas after 30 minutes. When asked about types of meat and ingredients, there were contradictory and unclear answers, which seemed unprofessional. After 40 minutes we were informed that the preparation had not yet started. Since we didn't want to wait any longer, we got up and left. When we paid we were told that the long waiting time was due to the failure of one of the pizza makers. However, that wasn't an argument for us because the shop was very small and a pizza shouldn't take that long. Despite the total waiting time of 70 minutes, we had to pay for the drinks. The ambience was pleasant, but we can't say anything about the food.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing evening today. I recommended this place to my friends because I had a good pizza here recently. That's why I made a reservation for 6 people at 7:00 p.m. and in advance: we were on time, which cannot be said about the service staff. Unfortunately, our orders weren't even taken until 7:25 p.m. and the filling of the pizzas didn't even start at 8:05 p.m. That was the reason for us to get up and leave. Here the waitress had the chance to say that the soft drinks were on the house (as compensation). That wasn't offered to us and that's why I don't come to this pizzeria anymore.

First about the quality of the pizza. This was my fourth time there, having previously discovered the pizzeria by chance. I was thrilled with the pizza the first few times and on the next visit I brought friends who were also very impressed with the pizza. What everyone noticed was, to put it harmlessly, that the boss wasn't exactly friendly and that he sometimes had a rude tone towards the staff. But we overlooked it given the quality of the food. In between, the shop was temporarily closed. There must have been a reason. Maybe also that the pizza cook has quit, because I noticed immediately when we were eating with a larger group yesterday, February 1st, 2025, that there is now a pizza cook instead of the cook. And what do I have to say: All of my friends who have been there independently noticed that the quality of the pizza had deteriorated significantly, from the original 5 stars to 2 or 3 stars. We were there on February 1st. so a group of 8 people and a total of 4 paying parties. When it came time to pay, the really nice waitress said that she had to collect the entire table. We asked them, on the grounds that in the era of smart wallets, no one has enough small change to be able to give it to each other, but to please deduct the only 4 parties separately using the calculator. She also kindly complied with this request. I also told her that this also has the advantage that she gets 4 times the tip and therefore gets significantly more tips in total, to which she replied that she wasn't allowed to keep any tips. But she still picked us up separately as requested and very friendly, time spent perhaps 5 to 7 minutes. A short time later the boss appeared at the table fuming and said in a more than unfriendly tone that something like that would never happen again and that in the future the entire bill would have to be paid by one person. I also told him that none of us had enough small change to settle accounts with each other. He angrily left the table with a rude tone and the words “I don’t care!” Two women at our table have experience as waitresses themselves. Afterwards they regretted the nice service because waitresses usually live off tips. It is absurd that guests are asked to settle the bill for each other internally. That has nothing to do with good service. What matters even more, however, is the boss's very unfriendly and rude manner. Conclusion: Service: 5 stars Boss: minus 5 stars Food: 2-3 stars Overall: 1 star We all agreed. You don't have to go out to eat again.

A pearl in the Bronx. A restaurant so authentically Italian, you feel like you're on a trip to Naples. No room for chi-chi but for a meal of the highest quality. Ludwigshafen doesn't have much to offer, but the Quartieri Spanioli is worth a visit. This oasis gives me hope. Thanks!

In terms of taste, a 10 out of 10. The pizzas are extremely tasty, you can tell that the ingredients have been chosen very carefully. The atmosphere is very nice and you feel at home. However, the service needs improvement, lacks focus and is forgetful. Drinks had to be requested. A pizza was also forgotten and so one of the four of us ate alone. A digestif was also completely forgotten. But still 5 stars because the pizza is really tasty.

The ambience is nice, but the food is not. Attention!! If you're looking for a Neapolitan pizza, you've come to the wrong place!!! Dough really thick and apparently the salt shaker fell into the tomato sauce, absolutely over salted. It's a shame and a shame for my waiting time + disappointment.

Unfortunately, we cannot share the many good reviews here. The owner was already unfriendly and hectic on the phone, which continued in the restaurant when it was picked up (after an acceptable waiting time). Here too, rudeness, hecticness, no smile. You don't feel comfortable there. The pizzas tasted okay, the 4cm edge had no toppings and no sauce. Just dough. In a few places the dough was even slightly raw. The surface is rather poor, very manageable. The side salad consisted of 90% rocket. 3 cocktail tomatoes, 3 pieces of iceberg lettuce and a few strips of carrots. It was oversalted and oversoured with balsamic vinegar. Unfortunately for us the first and last time. We were particularly annoyed by the unfriendliness.
