This pizzeria may have a 80s charm, but I like it. The pizzas and pasta dishes are simply amazing! And the prices are really, really fair. A definite recommendation...

The place has a great atmosphere. Family run Italian family. They have excellent and delicious pizzas with thin and crispy edges. The sauce accompanying the pizza is excellent hot and garlic sauce. If you ever go there, you should definitely stop by and try their pizza. You can have a pleasant time with the atmosphere of the place reminiscent of the 90's and the alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages you can drink with your pizza.

Been there again for years. The facility has been the same for decades. Dark shop with lots of wood. Lampshade was missing. Lamps dazzle when you talk to the person opposite. Upholstery stained. It doesn't work at all. Point deduction. Service staff quick and friendly. The store was full, so there was a wait for food. Food was delicious. However, points are deducted again because the Pasta al Forno was far too little and the Scallopini only had three very small and thin pieces of meat. Also far too little for the price. We were still hungry afterwards!! You should think about either lowering the prices or adding more food. And please, please renovate.

5 stars for the food. If it weren't for the fight over the pizza rolls and the “cheeky” reaction of the staff when you asked for pizza rolls. The food is really tasty and of good quality. Every time, however, it's a fight for the pizza rolls. For 2 people there are 2-4 pieces. However, when you ask for additional rolls, there is no refill, even if you say to please write them on the bill. The pizza rolls are very tasty and I consider them to be a side dish with my soup, vegetables or salad. I find that very much in need of improvement.

NEVER AGAIN! Food is no longer what it was! Quality significantly reduced! Saves in the wrong place. Pizza rolls not possible despite separate payment! They bring everyone serious 2 pieces and there is nothing more! I pay for my food and also for the rolls! Bad!

We went to this restaurant for the first time by chance. There was a greeting from the kitchen, delicious pizza bread with butter, it wasn't charged then of course we increased our pocket money or tip. Everything was very tasty, super inexpensive, it's fun to go there, nice people even as yesterday next door, the waiter is super sweet and the big boss behind the counter makes a great impression.

There were five of us and all the food was brought at the same time. Whether it was pizza or pasta, everything was great

I think it's the worst Italian I've ever been to. The decoration is old and the place is somewhat spoiled, the music is too loud. All of that is forgivable if the food is good. It is not the case. It's hard to say that a pizza or spaghetti is bad, but the ones at this place are terrible. The pasta is much worse than what a student makes at 5:00 after returning from a party. Specifically, I find it regrettable that an Italian restaurant serves a carbonara with cream and cheap smoked bacon, the kind they sell in taco format in any supermarket. It seems like an insult to Italian cuisine, especially considering that it doesn't cost that much to make these dishes correctly. And the worst of all is that I asked the waiter if it was the "authentic carbonara", and the guy with all his face told me "Italian carbonara". This guy will be banned from entering his own country for committing tremendous sacrilege. All dishes are incredibly bad, with low quality products. How sad.

Incredibly bad, too expensive for poor quality, horrible atmosphere and junkies in front of the store. Addendum: I was there again and it is truly the craziest store in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. How real Italians with stone ovens can screw up pizza like that remains a mystery to me.

First of all: The pizza was very good, even if the stones in the olives were very annoying. The different types of cheese were rather disappointing. Well, you probably can't expect much for the amount. But in the end there were 3 different types of cheese (the amount was very manageable), carelessly arranged and garnished with a lettuce leaf with green olives on it. In terms of food, the visit was overall value for money. However, the same cannot be said for the service! When the drinks were empty, it felt like they were never asked. What is not possible, however, is gossiping about guests. It doesn't help much if you have these conversations in Italian. There are people here who definitely understand this language.

Die Inneneinrichtung wirkt dunkel, alt und abgenutzt. Wir ignorierten dies und bestellten 2 x Pizza. Beide waren ausgesprochen köstlich, sehr gut belegt, und aus dem Holzbackofen. Der Service war nett und freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis fanden wir sehr gut. Meine große Pizza, belegt mit Thunfisch, Sardellen, Kapern und Oliven kostete 10,- €. Für Gäste, die gerne gut und günstig essen, und keinen großen Wert auf das Ambiente legen, kann ich dieses Restaurant sehr empfehlen!

Not happy with the delivery service. Not sufficiently organized delivery service. And then you can't give change for €50 and you just say that it won't work at all next time. I'm now missing €50.

It was clear that this is a well-run business. We arrived just in time. After us, whole groups of people were sent away because there was no room. I like to compare spareribs and saw them on the menu. I've never had them like this before... The spare ribs (schweinrippchen) were fried in the pan, they were not "racks" as usual, they were loose ribs with a large piece of meat attached to them. I thought it looked more like cutlets or fillet steaks. In any case, they were very tasty. I see it as a new experience. What was a shame is that it is currently very difficult to park in the area. The parking garage across the street has been under renovation for some time.

Excellent pizza or pasta dishes, I don't know of any pizzeria that serves draft beer, everything is of consistent quality, the atmosphere is reminiscent of the 80s, way too cold in winter and you can't stand it without a jacket, otherwise delicious tiramisu!!

Traditionelle Pizzeria seit über 40 Jahren, beste Pizza weit und breit aus dem original Steinofen und das schmeckt man. Außerdem bietet die Karte etwas für jeden Geschmack! Wer also im Retro Ambiente gut essen will, ist hier gerade richtig!

Geschmack hat bisschen nach gelassen aber sonst ist es dort so wie man es kennt

Italienisches Restaurant mit typischen Gerichten zu günstigen Preisen. Bedienung freundlich und schnell, Ambiente nicht mehr zeitgemäß und schlicht, Speisen in durchschnittlicher Qualität und etwas lieblos angerichtet. Preis/Leistung gut, aber nicht unbedingt für Gourmets.

Ambiente ist altbacken aber hat was. Das Essen ist gut. Der Kellner sehr schick angezogen und sehr freundlich.

Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden, das Essen einfach top... 👍 Der Kellner super coole Socke mit sehr viel Verständnis, wir waren bestimmt an dem Samstag vor dem Fußballspiel sehr anstrengend und gut angeschickert... 🤣 Gruß an den Pizzabäcker am Ofen... 👋

Ich war das erste mal vor fast 50 Jahren da das ist nicht so schnell zu toppen. Unten war die Tanzschule Türk-Brinkmann, es wurden immer zwei Pizzagutscheine verlost. Einmal habe ich einen gewonnen, dann war ich regelmässig da. Auf der Waldhausener Strasse war glaube ich auch Nido 2, Man konnte direkt von der Straße aus dem Pizzabäcker bei der Arbeit zusehen offenes Feuer Holz. Dann gab es noch das Pinoccio auf der Bismarckstrasse und erst später kam der Abteiofen nebendem Balderich auch gute italienische Pizzabäcker.

Beste Pizza ever ..Capriciosa Salat unschlagbar.... Kommen hier essen seit Jahrzehnten.

Wie immer gutes Essen, seit Jahrzehnten prima. Leider ist es dort sehr kalt. Das Kultrestaurant kämpft um's Überleben, auch weil die Städteplanung MG nichts für das Umfeld getan hat, sondern Parkplätze vor der Türe fortgemacht hat.

Guter und bodenständiger Italiener! Das Ambiente ist recht altbacken (seit Jahren keine Veränderungen) - aber insgesamt macht das auch viel Charme aus. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, die Portion sind reichlich und vor allem - alles war sehr lecker! Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder.

Klasse Restaurant. Die Pizzen werden noch in einem mit Holz beheizten Ofen gemacht. Wir waren immer sehr zufrieden.

Leider immer noch, wie vor 40 Jahren. Die Fenster sind undicht, Lampenschirme fehlen, alles sehr veraltet. Der Service ist sehr gut und freundlich, preiswert wie früher. Leider ist die Umgebung inzwischen sehr verdreckt, Junkies im und vor dem Parkhaus gegenüber, was ein wenig verunsichert.

Pizza wie immer der Hammer!! Super lecker, mega knusprig und ausreichend Belag!!! Immer wieder gerne!

Eine Zeitreise... immer wieder schön. Top! Schön, dass sich das Restaurant seit Jahrzehnten gehalten hat!

Einfach lecker essen das ist nido

Beste Pizza bzw Italiener in Gladbach , lecker , man muss Geduld mitbringen wenn man vor Ort isst , aber es lohnt sich.

Solide Kochkunst mit gleichbleibender Qualität, kein Vergleich mit Lieferdiensten, hier speist man im Restaurant! Service in Ordnung und zügig. Bemerkenswert: Viele Vorspeisen mit Schnecken auf der Karte. Ambiente mir etwas zu rustikal und in die Jahre gekommen, aber soweit in Ordnung. Ich bin froh, dass wir diesen Italiener in Rheydt haben!

Wir gehen hier regelmäßig essen. Die Pizzen sind seit Jahrzehnten auf einem konstanten und sehr hohen Niveau. Hier gibt es kein großes „Top-Italiener“-Getöse, sondern einfach gute Pizza, Pasta und auch leckere Fleischgerichte, basta! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend.

War vor ca. 15 Jahren das letzte Mal hier. Pizza essen. War gut, aber diesmal habe ich mich geärgert nur Pizza und gebackenes Gemüse bestellt zu haben. Das nächste Mal werde ich die Schnecken probieren und ein Stück Fleisch bestellen. Das sah auf den anderen Tischen schon echt gut aus. Danke Nido

Wir wollten gerne etwas ausgefallenes zu Mittag essen , Lust auf mediterrane Küche ! Leider konnte man uns in der Nähe in dem gewünschten Restaurant nicht mehr bedienen , weil kurz darauf geschlossen werde , wegen Weihnachtsfeier des Personals ! Darauf hin gingen wir ins Nido , welches ich noch von früher in guter Erinnerung hatte . Leider war dem heute nicht mehr so ! Die Speisen waren wirklich gut und frisch , Preise auch okay ! Nur die Bedienung , wie ich schon hier mehrfach lesen konnte , hat sich bis dato nicht bemüht sich zu ändern ! Eigentlich sehr schade! Ich kann den Unmut mancher Gäste nur bestätigen , sorry 😐

Pour toute Occasion, en couple en famille ou Avec enfants, ce Restaurant convient à tous à des Prix acceptables. Grand Parking public en face, mais aussi possible de s'y rendre à pied comme le Nido se trouve à l'extrémité de la Zone piétonne de Rheydt (Hauptstrasse)

Seit Jahren gehen wir ab und an ins Nido Pizza essen und sind bisher nie enttäuscht worden. Meine lieblings Pizzen sind rustica und Diavolo. Die Bedienung ist schnell und immer freundlich die Preise vollkommen angemessen und nicht zu hoch Komma ich hoffe dass es diese Pizzeria noch lange Jahre gibt.

Man kann bestellen was man will. Es schmeckt immer prima! Ungeschlagen das Fileto al Pepe. Einfach wunderbar!

Für mich die Nr: 1 in Rheydt. Seit 40 Jahren sind die Pizza und die Salate Fantastisch. Das Restaurant benötigt dringend eine Renovierung. Am besten von einem Italienischen Innenarchitekten !!! Das Essen ist sehr Gut. Das Ambiente ist 40 Jahre zurück. Aber die Inhaber, glauben sie sind die größten !!! Langweiliger Laden. Es sieht aus wie kurz vor der pleite ! Ich meine das Ambiente.

Nach vielen Jahren waren wir wieder im Nido waren wir entsetzt. Plüschige Optik und das Essen ist nicht wirklich gut. Massen Food kann nicht schlimmer sein. Schade !

Das Restaurant ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen,aber der Service ist unschlagbar.Die Gerichte werden innerhalb kürzester Zeit serviert und schmecken immer sehr gut.

Ja, das Lokal ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber für Fans der wehmütigen Erinnerung an die 70er, wo wir schon in jungen Jahren hierher kamen, immer wieder schön. So viele Erinnerungen und Pizza aus dem Steinofen. Lecker, heiß, zügig gebracht. Für uns ist dieses Lokal eine nostalgische Institution. Wir sind immer zufrieden.

Wer in Mönchengladbach eine Pizza essen will, sollte auf jeden Fall ins Nido gehen. Diese Pizzeria gibt es seit 40 Jahren. Sie ist ein sehr gut funktionierender Familienbetrieb, in dem man sich wohl fühlt. Die Pizza kommt aus dem Feuerofen und schmeckt einfach so, wie man sich eine traditionelle italienische Pizza vorstellt. Daher ist das Nido auch meistens rappelvoll. Toll ist auch, dass man beim Chef und Personal nie den Eindruck hat, dass sie überfordert oder genervt wären. Die rasche Arbeitsweise sehe ich als kundenorientiertes Verhalten und nicht als Massenabfertigung.
