Pizzeria La Cascata in Ehringshausen

Fantastic! The amazing pizzas are now also available with vegan pepperoni sausage and vegan cheese – progress at the highest level of authentic Italian cuisine and, so far, unique! The friendliness, the beer garden with its babbling waterfall and lush greenery, as well as the playful Hundertwasser-style facade, make a visit an exceptional experience in the Lahn-Dill district at the end of a trip in the region and are definitely worth a visit. We have been coming to this family-run and friendly restaurant for years and are delighted with their adaptation to progressive plant-based development! Grazie mille!!

Most of the dishes are very tasty and well-prepared (I haven't tried everything yet, so I can't speak for all of them). Although it's an Italian restaurant, the schnitzel is also highly recommended. When dining in, the food is served quickly and the service is usually friendly. Unfortunately, it has happened quite often that the dish ordered wasn't exactly what was served or the portion size differed. The owner often reacted inappropriately and without understanding to subsequent complaints...a shame! (This has happened to me far too often, so I won't be eating there again). There have also been instances where the owner and the server (his son) were seen arguing and shouting at each other in the back. This was extremely unpleasant, and as a guest, you could tell that both were distracted. When ordering takeout, everything is quite quick and just as delicious as when eating in. It's a shame that only cash payments are accepted and not card payments. --> Please admit mistakes, reduce errors, resolve staff disputes out of earshot of guests, and offer card payment options. Then I'll come back and then I'll give it 5 stars.

The boss seems pretty overwhelmed. He's harassing the guests and arguing with them. Some customers even got up and left. I've never seen anything like it before. No matter how stressful the situation may seem, as a host/innkeeper, you should keep your temper in check! The food was okay. Nothing special.

This is the best pizza I've ever had in my area. If you want to sit outside in nice weather, you should make a reservation. You'll be seated in a beautifully decorated courtyard. The owners are always very friendly and always up for a joke. I can recommend this pizzeria with a clear conscience.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. We used to enjoy eating there. The tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms is not recommended.

My boyfriend and I wanted to eat there on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, there were still free tables, so we sat wherever we liked. We ordered drinks and got a menu. Up until then, everything was fine. Then the owner came over and loudly snapped at us in front of other guests, asking if we could sit at a larger table (ironic). We didn't say anything. Yes, we did sit where two tables were placed next to each other, but that's the problem with moving the tables away from each other. And wouldn't it be easier to come to our table and talk to us instead of having to sort it out in front of other guests? When we asked for the bill, since we hadn't ordered anything else, the employee came over to us. His explanation was that "it's very stressful today" and that we should understand. I have to say, even if it is stressful, it can be solved differently. In any case, we weren't the only ones the owner treated so rudely that afternoon.

I was actually always happy with the food, but this time it tasted of nothing at all—just disgusting flour and cream. Unfortunately, the boss wasn't in a good mood. You should listen to what customers say and respond accordingly. After nine hours of work, I certainly wasn't going to get in the car to deliver it again, because otherwise, no one would believe me. Even my daughter could have done better.

In my opinion, the best pizzeria in Ehringshausen. The price/performance ratio is good. The staff is always friendly and attentive. What I find particularly negative is ordering from the family tray. Today is the fourth time I've tried it in three months, and each time I'm told it's currently bad. They only offer round pizzas. It's also a shame that you can't pay by card, and that parking is a bit limited during busy times.

First, the prospective: The location was beautiful, but that's about it. My husband and I wanted to go out for a really delicious Italian meal, but it ended in disaster. I ordered the tagliatelle with shrimp, but they weren't cleaned before serving. My husband had spaghetti aiole ole, but unfortunately, we had to admit that this dish wasn't good either. He tried to sell us Asian noodles as spaghetti. We also had a pizza margarita, but the crust was thinner than a newspaper, and it tasted like a frozen pizza. There were dead flies on the table, and you could still see the remains of the people before us on the tablecloth. The service is really terrible, very unfriendly and insulting. I do not recommend this restaurant. I am very disappointed with this restaurant and will not go there again. It was just very dirty and not a pleasant evening. Unfortunately I have to give one star to give my rating, I would prefer not to give one.

It's a shame, the food is really good. But when you have to wait 40 minutes to pay, and the manager then says, "It's so nice here and you're making such a fuss just because we wanted to pay," that's just unacceptable. It's a real shame!

So ambience to start with. When the weather is nice you can sit next to the playful stone wall with a waterfall. Okay inside - normal furnishings, nothing special. Service is okay - even if the boss's stress sometimes comes at the expense of his friendliness. Food is okay - midfield - but the prices for 2025 are absolutely okay. Really bad - as others have already written - the schnitzel is absolutely not recommended - well: who eats schnitzel at an Italian restaurant - it's their own fault.

Incredibly delicious food! Very nice staff!

We've been going there to eat for years, even though it's not around the corner from us. But there's nothing comparable near us. It always tastes great. You can still afford the prices and in the summer you can sit in the beautiful waterfall ambience and feel like you're on vacation. The family is always friendly and polite. Can only recommend it.

I worked in the kitchen, a terrible place, it's dirty, everything is old, even the pans, not recommended, besides this is anything but Italian pizza. It looks like focaccia dough

- no card payment possible - Schnitzel TK, portions rather small, pizza much too thick and too firm/crispy - Pasta dishes from €10, pizzas from €9 - few parking spaces next to the restaurant, but very narrow and sloping - Owner-run restaurant run by an Italian family with temporary staff - the owner is very nice, but the boss seems SUPER unfriendly and annoyed throughout, special requests from the guests are not tolerated and you as a guest are downright insulted.. Children are obviously less welcome with him.. in the end he keeps his change, maybe. He doesn't do math well either, but I didn't feel like discussing it anymore. Overall, I would say the pizzeria rests a bit on the fact that it has little to no competition regionally, but the boss is definitely the deciding factor that we won't be coming back. It's a shame for the boss, who, unlike him, really tries hard!

I've been eating at La Cascata for years now and the hospitality is always remarkably friendly. The food tastes good and the prices are right too. Particularly noteworthy is the outdoor area in summer with castle walls, turrets and the waterfall. You can relax and enjoy wonderfully there. Thanks so much!

The staff was friendly, the atmosphere is also okay. And the waiting time is still acceptable. The pizza was also acceptable, with room for improvement. However, the schnitzel dish was extraterrestrial. Pure frozen goods. Actually it only consisted of breading and a minimal amount of meat. The meat as such could not be defined!! It's no use if you have two pieces of it on your plate. When I asked, I was told that schnitzels are generally so thin. Unbelievable!! So we won't appear there anymore!!

Beautiful pizzeria with a sensational backyard, very cozy, friendly and the owner is an Italian. Unfortunately, the quality of the schnitzels and in general needs to be improved. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes is not consistent, which is a shame!

Great service and the food is always delicious. I can really recommend this restaurant. Of course there are also restaurants where the ambience is more upscale but this is reflected in the prices but not in the food. Prices are acceptable and the food is simply delicious.

We had 3 pizzas. These were all a bit through and rather mixed in taste. Since the pizzaria was well rated, we were disappointed.

Food is definitely recommended. Had a pizza with everything except garlic and anchovies. Rand was airy, crispy. Pizza with plenty of toppings. You'll definitely get full. I didn't like the oilcloth blanket on the table outside. Easier for staff to maintain, of course. But the eye doesn't just eat on the plate. Great service.

We can't say anything about the food, as unfortunately it's not possible to pay by card (but luckily it's pointed out directly on the card, at least we don't think so). Nowadays we have never had a problem and were able to pay by card even in the smallest bakery. We have never experienced this in a restaurant.

What can I say? In my opinion the best pizza in the area!

Ordered family pizzas (Tuscany, tuna, vegetarian, seafood) and salad plates for a birthday party yesterday and picked them up straight away. As always, it was very tasty and can therefore be recommended without reservation.

Service is very attentive, you are greeted as if you have always been a guest at the pizzeria. Food is prepared quickly, the break between starter and main course is appropriate. And most importantly: it tastes good Price performance is best.

They are The terrace is always a nice place to sit in the summer, but the food that evening was rather average. The salad lacked dressing and flavor, probably all due to the Italian national team's soccer game that evening.

Very long waiting time - this could also be observed with other guests Service/boss unfriendly, stressed and annoyed after normal requests like salt, pepper, parmesan, etc. When you ask if the pizza can be cut, you get the answer "we don't have time" and the boss cuts the pizza on the table with the guest's cutlery, half of the pizza topping fell from the plate on the table. Invite a few friends and kidnap them for a few hours. In an environment with flair and an incredible contrast to Frankfurter Strasse in Ehringshausen. Today I am grateful to the recommendation of an innkeeper from Katzenfurt: go to <La Cascata>! Much more than a pizzeria! Molto bene!

Been there for lunch. Another table was occupied, but no other guests. The service was very friendly and familiar. ❤️ The food was tasty. Instead of cannelloni, a combination was served. That didn't affect the taste, but it was still a shame. When spoken to, an apology was made. The ambience is also appealing. The outside area is very nicely designed. 🥰 We'd love to come back. ❤️

We've been eating here relatively regularly for about 2 years now and can only report positive things. No matter whether pizza, pasta or meat dishes, I have always been very happy with the food. The owners and the service are really very friendly and always very accommodating. We rarely had any complaints and requests were ALWAYS taken into account. Of course, it is particularly recommended to sit outside in summer. A few photos have already been posted online here.

Leider diesmal sehr Enttäuscht. Haben 2 Pizzen und eine Portion Kroketten zum abholen bestellt, auf beiden Pizzen falscher Belag. 25 Euro für 2 Pizzen mit jeweils nur 1 Belag und eine Portion Kroketten ist meiner Meinung nach zu teuer. Zum Abholen leider mehrmals enttäuscht worden, deshalb nur eine Empfehlung zum vor Ort essen.

Eine sehr freundliche Begrüßung. Reichhaltige Speisen- und Getränkekarte. Da alles frisch gemacht wird hat es ein bisschen gedauert aber das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Als Nachtisch hatten wir Crepes mit Vanilleeis und Sahne, super. Die Preise haben mich sehr überrascht, da sehr günstig. Einen Absacker gab's noch auf's Haus. Gerne kommen wir wieder. 😀👍

Ich war mir meiner Frau spontan hier. Da wir 2016 schon einmal hier waren und es eigentlich in guter Erinnerung hatten. Doch leider wurden wir herbe enttäuscht. Der Vorspeisen Salat war lieblos angerichtet und alles wurde wahllos miteinander vermischt. Sah aus wie aus dem Mixer. Das passende Pizzabrot mit Tomatensoße war einfach gebackener Pizzateig mit Tomatensoße bestrichen. Dazu war der Teig des Pizzabrotes noch halb roh. Als Hauptgericht gab es Lasagne und gemischte Nudeln überbacken. Sorry, aber das mache ich zu Hause definitiv besser. Geschmeckt hat beides nach nichts und die Soßen waren total wässrig. Gewürze scheinbar unbekannt. Dazu noch ein Glas Weißwein für 6€ welcher ebenfalls nicht trinkbar war. Wobei das alles immer Geschmacksache ist. Alles in allem ein nicht mal durchschnittlicher Italiener. Schade, denn der Biergarten ist wirklich sehr gemütlich.

"Vorsicht" an Alle!!! So etwas wie heute habe ich noch NIE erlebt!! Ich muss leider 1 Stern geben. Verdient hat diese Pizzeria keinen!!! Service unterirdisch, Personal sehr sehr unfreundlich, auf Kritik reagiert man erbost und schmeißt Gäste raus!!! Wir wurden angeschrien!!!! Ich war heute mit meiner Freundin in dieser Pizzeria essen. Wir haben 35 Minuten gewartet bis wir Getränke bestellen konnten. Nach weiteren 40 Minuten durften wir dann Essen bestellen. Sehr heftig wie ich finde! Als ich beim bezahlen anmerken wollte, dass heute alles sehr sehr lange gedauert hat, wurden wir mit den Worten "verlassen Sie sofort mein Restaurant" raus geschmissen. Der Chef wurde sehr laut!! Nie wieder werde ich diese Pizzeria Betreten!!! Ich kann jedem von dieser Pizzeria abraten..... Eine Frechheit was dem Gast hier zugemutet wird.

Das Essen war, wie immer gut. Aber bis wir erst einmal etwas bestellen konnten, mussten wir eine Stunde warten. Kann passieren, wenn man unterbesetzt ist. Aber ich bin noch nie aus einem Restaurant geworfen worden, weil man die lange Wartezeit angemerkt hat. SO geht man mit keinen Gästen um. Das war definitiv unser letzter Besuch! Da lasse ich mein Geld lieber dort, wo man als Gast noch nett empfangen wird!

Es war unser erster Besuch und auf jeden Fall der Letzte. Wir haben 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Beim Bestellen hatten wir erwähnt, dass die Pizzen bitte geschnitten sein sollen. Trotz dessen kam die Pizza nicht geschnitten, als wir freundlich gefragt haben ob man die Pizza noch schneiden könnte wurde nur gesagt „wir haben keine Zeit“ ,dann wurde ohne mich zu fragen einfach mein Besteck genommen und die Pizza damit hektisch geschnitten, dabei fiel einiges vom Belag auf den Tisch und auch auf den Boden. Scheinbar gibt es dort auch nur einen Parmesanbehälter, man durfte nur kurz etwas aufs Essen machen, dann hieß es der Parmesan wird an einem anderen Tisch gebraucht. Wirklich unterirdischer Service und total unfreundlich.

Das Restaurant hat viel Potenzial, leider wird es nicht genutzt. Das Ambiente ist schön und das Essen schmeckt gut. Leider ist die Wartezeit extrem lange und die Bedienung, sowie der Chef äußerst unfreundlich. Der Service zieht leider alles runter..

Am liebsten würde ich 0 Sterne geben. Das Personal reagiert auf normale Fragen total genervt und unfreundlich. 45 Minuten - 1 Stunde Wartezeit ist hier scheinbar normal, dafür wird sich nicht mal entschuldigt. Das Essen war in Ordnung.

Also sowas hab ich noch nie erlebt. Wurden vom Besitzer angeschrien und und mit den Worten ,,euer Geld brauch ich sowieso nicht‘‘ aus dem Lokal geschmissen. Wenn man hier essen gehen will muss man auf jeden Fall einen Tag Urlaub nehmen, da der Service Ewigkeiten braucht. Essen kann ich leider nicht bewerten, da man hier ja wie oben beschrieben rausgeschmissen wird wenn man fragt was mit dem Essen ist. Das war mein erster und letzter Besuch in diesem Etablissement. Insgesamt eine 1/10.

Im Sommer sitzt man draußen in einem besonderen Ambiente nah einem künstlichen Wasserfall. Essen, Service - alles gut.

Gutes Essen, aber für alles muss man extra drauf zahlen. Frische Champignons kosten zB 1 Euro extra. Und die große Pizza (32 cm) die nicht auf der Speisekarte steht, kostet nochmal 2,50 Euro mehr. Schade, trotzdem sehr lecker

Eine der besten Pizza die ich je gegessen habe.

Leider war beim letzten Mal höchstwahrscheinlich die Salatsoße ( die sehr komisch schmeckte - aber der Hunger es nicht wahrhaben wollte) daran Schuld das die ganze Familie anschließend über Übelkeit und Erbrechen klagte.

Der Außenbereich ist sehr nett, doch die Pizza war nicht gerade der Reisser. Broccoli und Paprika alles noch sehr fest im Biss,an Käse wurde gespart. Der Teig erinnerte mich ein wenig an Pinsa, im großen Ganzen würde ich das nicht mehr bestellen. Weiß nicht was die Leute an der Pizza toll finden.

Eine Wartehalle hat mehr Charm. Das Hühnchen war innen noch roh Die Pizza komplett versalzen. Die Nudeln kalt. NUR BARZAHLUNG! Kann ich keinem empfehlen, außer man will sich den Magen verderben. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen das Lokal weit zu Umfahren.

Mein liebstes italienisches Restaurant.

Uns erwartete in unserer Spaghetti Bolognese Metallspäne. Wir wurden abgespeist mit „Das kommt von dem Dosen öffnen“ und dass keine Entschuldigung ausgesprochen wurde, wurde mit „Viel los, es ist Muttertag“ begründet. Werden nichtmehr hingehen.

Schade wenn man über stunden auf sein essen warten muss andere personen die wesentlich später bestellt haben ihr essen vorher bekommen man 3 mal getränke bestellt und es nicht klappt War immer zufrieden aber werde nicht mehr hin gehn
