Pizzeria Da Papu in Greiz

We were there as a couple for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was very well attended. After we sat down at the table, it took five to ten minutes before we could order drinks and food. Nobody showed up. The drinks came promptly, the appetizers came after just under 30 minutes. I would like to praise the onion soup at this point! From here it got more difficult. There were four people sitting behind us who waited 90 minutes (!). Two of them hadn't had a starter in the entire time, let alone the main course. They then left the restaurant because there was an event waiting in the Vogtlandhalle. We were therefore afraid that we would have to wait forever. In fact, we didn't actually get our main course until just before 7:30, which was almost 90 minutes after we entered the restaurant. That's too long! Even though our glasses were empty, employees walked past us and cleared tables. Nobody asked if we wanted a refill - only when we asked. Pizza was delivered quickly to surrounding tables. A couple who arrived late than us were therefore able to leave sooner. Since we didn't have elaborate pasta and baked meat, we had to wait a long time. The food tasted good, but not particularly good either. For me in particular there was a lack of love... Apparently the pick-up business confused the processes in the kitchen and brought a lot to a standstill. You may want to avoid the pick-up business on such days so as not to annoy and lose your on-site customers. The operation also felt uncoordinated. In the end we paid around €95, which we found to be too much considering the price-performance ratio.

The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The staff is very nice and friendly. Price performance is ok and the waiting time is reasonable. We'd love to come back.

We had dinner at Da Papu in the evening and were completely disappointed. The service was rarely seen at the table. The waiting time for the main courses we ordered at the table lasted up to 90 minutes! These were not elaborate dishes. This was definitely the first and last visit to this restaurant. Service in the catering industry can also be done differently and better.

Reserved a table with friends at Da Papu on New Year's Eve. Three different New Year's Eve menus were offered. Unfortunately, both menus we ordered left a lot to be desired, both in terms of taste and appearance. The bruschetti was served on toasties, the ravioli of the main course - certainly a ready-made product - was completely covered with a not particularly tasty uniform sauce. The plate was visually not arranged. The second main course consisted of a rump steak, although I was not asked how cooked I wanted it to be. Accordingly, the steak was simply served well done. This product was also completely covered with an average mushroom cream sauce. Conclusion: Poor quality at far too high prices.

Been there three times since the tenant or change of ownership and have always been very satisfied. Service, cuisine, ambience great. Will be my favorite restaurant.

I came into the restaurant and was in a hurry because my train was coming 20 minutes later. I asked how long a pizza takes. An employee said it would take 10 minutes. I paid and after 15 minutes there was still no pizza ready. I then asked again and said that my train was coming now. Then they said: the pizza would arrive soon. I then had to leave without pizza. It's a shame, somehow the staff didn't understand that I was in a hurry. I paid beforehand so that it would be quicker... The place is very clean and the food looks appetizing.

Delicious food, friendly service, good value for money

The service was satisfactory! The pasta dishes in Gensatz had no taste and deserved no attention. There was no appropriate response to a complaint. As a result, this restaurant is just one of many and does not deserve any special appreciation.

So far we can't complain at all. The current stated delivery times on the phone have always been adhered to and the food always arrived hot. Of course the taste is great too! In terms of price, I think it's completely okay too. The staff is always friendly too!

Caution: Prices exclude VAT!! The prices stated in the menu are exclusive of VAT!! (in September 2024) We had an excellent meal here. The ambience is very good. When the weather is good you can also sit in a great beer garden.

I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Italian restaurant Da Papu and I was absolutely thrilled! With a total of 34 people we had a varied and delicious buffet. The food was fresh, tasty and authentically Italian. The price-performance ratio was good. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the evening perfect. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable celebration! We'll definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Pizzeria Da Papu in Greiz last night and loved it. The salami ham pizza was outstanding – the dough was perfectly crispy and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I also had a Pinot Grigio, which went wonderfully with the pizza and rounded off the culinary experience. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall, a fantastic experience that I can only recommend to any lover of Italian cuisine. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Greiz!

Ambiance is good - food is not prepared in-house. Pasta for 78 cents from the package and pasta sauce from the screw-top jar. No homemade pizza, only frozen pizza. Prices very expensive - never again!

The quality of the food gradually decreases. The lack of alternatives in the city certainly helps, but unfortunately things are no longer the same as they were 2-3 years ago. For me, I'm currently at the limit of whether I'll remain a customer in the future or not.

I don't recommend it: I had pork fillet in pepper cream and fries, which were of the best quality, tender meat, the sauce wasn't too hot and not too mild, the French fries were definitely homemade, not frozen. Unfortunately, the weak points predominate: As you can see in the picture, there was no side dish with the dish, not even a few leaves of lettuce to be found. I don't understand why a few strips of balsamic cream were spread on the bare right area of ​​the plate, it was somewhat pointless. What's the point of this if there's no lettuce underneath? A glass of ordinary Chardonnay of 200ml for €5.90 is a ridiculous price, especially since it was served at room temperature. Given the small portion, I left the restaurant hungry. The ambience is more for purists, it seems somehow cold and exudes the charm of a GDR butcher's shop. I can't bring myself to give it three stars; the "purist" presentation of the meal, as described, is simply not worth almost €20.

Food good and plentiful. Service could sometimes be a little more attentive. A good place to stay in Greiz. Parking options on site, with an outdoor terrace in summer.

I think when you read "Best Italian Restaurant" on the Internet you can also expect an Italian restaurant. Otherwise it should say "Italian style" Otherwise it was OK Except for little things, such as the waitress putting the drinks where they belong and not handing them to the guest. And if you're in a hurry, you shouldn't go to a restaurant but to McDonald's.

RUDE, FOREVER WAITING TIME, SERVICE OVERWHATED AND NO IDEA We were there with 6 people on Saturday evening. After we sat at the table, it took almost 20 minutes until we were asked what we wanted to drink. The completely overwhelmed waitress first had to ask whether there was a non-alcoholic wheat. The drinks were then quickly brought to the table. After another 15 minutes the waiter asked us what we would like to eat, unfortunately we hadn't even seen a menu until then. After we had been in the restaurant for 1.5 hours, the food finally arrived. Unfortunately it was delivered incorrectly. After another 10 minutes of waiting, the unfriendly young waitress (perhaps her daughter) loudly banged the plate onto the cutlery on the table. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN! Great with a bow tie in the menu ☹️

Top pizza restaurant. Delicious food, good service and a very good atmosphere, except for the toilets. Otherwise very good place to dine.

First impression, very impersonal. The staff seems overwhelmed and is unfriendly. Carpaccio and onion soup were ok. Olive oil/spices only after request. Pork loins were dry and tough. (fried to death). No garnish on the plate, baked potatoes were dry. Gin and tonic inedible After appropriate criticism, we were asked to leave and were asked to leave.

Gutes Essen, Preis/Leistung in Ordnung, wenn es voll ist zu lange Wartezeiten, der Aushilfskellner ist schnell überfordert. Da aber das Essen bzw. die Qualität zählt insgesamt zu empfehlen.

Wir waren zu zweit spontan Essen gegen 18.45 Uhr. Uns fiel sofort die massive Lautstärke im Gastraum auf. Gut, es war voll ausgebucht, aber mit zwei-drei Pflanzen und Raumtrennern könnte man etwas ruhigeres Ambiente zaubern. Die Getränkebestellung wurde ca. 15 Min. später aufgenommen (gleich zusammen mit dem Essen). Nach weiteren 10 min kamen Cola und Co. Nachdem eine Stunde seit der Bestellung vergangen war - in der keinerlei Kontakt mit uns aufgenommen wurde - haben wir an der Theke höflich gefragt, wann wir mit unserem Essen ca. rechnen können. Der junge Mann (oder das Kind) am Ausschank meinte, er fragt sofort - füllte dann allerdings *sehr* gemütlich weitere 5 Biere ab, während ich am Tresen wartete. Nach 8 min kam eine andere Mitarbeiterin und verkündete unser Essen sei in 10 min auf dem Tisch. Die Frage nach Pizzabrötchen bis dahin wurde mit Augenrollen bejaht. 30 min später stand das Essen auf dem Tisch. Lecker und gut gewürzt. Trotzdem: die Warterei war sehr nervig.

Gute und leckere Pizzeria mit einem schönen Biergarten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein gemütliches Restaurant. Wir haben dort gerne gegessen. Die Speisekarten sind sehr übersichtlich und es gibt eine große Auswahl. Geschmacklich war das Essen vorzüglich. Leider mussten wir auf die Bedienung sehr lange warten, da es nur eine gab.

Essen gut aber Wartezeiten extrem lang. Schade eigentlich ...

Wir waren seit längerem Mal wieder im Da Papu essen. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Essen wahr sehr gut. Und für die heutige Zeit ein angemessenes Preis Niveau. Wir können diese Pizzeria nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den netten Abend.

Wir waren zufällig in diesem Restaurant, kommen ziemlich sicher nicht wieder. Das ganze Restaurant wirkt etwas vernachlässigt (fleckig Tischdecken, alte Karte im Aushang, kaputte Wandverkleidung im Eingang...). Die Bedienung war äußerst wortkarg und die Wartezeiten trotz des nicht mal halbvollen Restaurants unglaublich lang. Das Kinderessen war zu pfeffrig, die Lasagne versalzen.

Ein gemütlicher Biergarten, die Bedienung freundlich. Allerdings ist das Essen eher unterdurchschnittlich. Die Spaghetti aglio e olio waren weder mit aglio noch olio, sondern einfach nur äußerst trockene Spaghetti, dabei ist dieses Gericht nicht wirklich komplex. Steinpilze in der Pappardelle total sandig, ein sehr knuspriges Erlebnis... Schade, denn man könnte im Sommer dort sehr schön sitzen.

Das Essen war super ,aber auf eine Pizza 45 Minuten bei einen zu 15 % besetzten Restaurant, geht gar nicht
