Even though we didn't have a reservation, the "boss" still found a nice spot in the exceptionally busy restaurant. The pizzas were huge and delicious, but after a delicious bruschetta beforehand, they were too much to handle 😎. The leftover pizza was kindly packed in a pizza box and still tasted delicious the next day.

A fantastic, authentic Italian restaurant. Extensive menu, something for everyone. We had a reservation for a Wednesday in October. It was quite busy. Four of us ate there: Two pasta dishes, one pizza, and one beef fillet. The portion sizes were very good for the pasta dishes, the pizza was larger than the plate, and the beef fillet with potatoes were adequate. Despite three different preparation methods, the food was served at the same time within about a minute. All the dishes were excellent; overall, there's nothing to complain about. The drinks were also top-notch. Service was excellent. Prices are really fair. The ambiance is beautifully fitting and completely harmonious. It's a matter of taste, but I think it's very nice. We can recommend it without reservation. We will be back.

I was there yesterday with my family from Italy, and it was very cozy. The food was great and tasted delicious. The waitresses are really great and attentive. I will definitely recommend the restaurant and would love to come back. Simply fantastic. Thank you for the lovely evening. ❤️ What I find great is that it doesn't just say Italy on the outside, it's also Italian inside—great.

We waited two hours for our food. The waitress rudely explained that she wasn't a slave and that we shouldn't make such a fuss.

We were back at our regular Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, today it was an absolute disaster. It was quite busy, really. That's why we were patient. We walked in at 7:30 p.m. At first, everything went quite well, although the atmosphere was tense, especially with the owner. Drinks were taken. Then the waiting began, and it dragged on and on. At 8:15 p.m., after repeated requests, our orders were finally taken. In a gruff tone, we were also told that they were only human and that we shouldn't complain. Puzzled, we continued to wait and watched as everyone else was served after us. Everyone in the waiting room walked past us with a plate or glass. At 8:30 p.m., the pizza rolls arrived. The first people to arrive after us had finished their food and left. Then our appetizer finally arrived, but that was it. At 9 p.m., other guests arrived right next to us, and in no time, they had their pizzas. At 9:15 p.m., we asked when our food would arrive. The kids were already starving and just wanted to go home. The owner then yelled at us in a rude, cheeky way, and of course, she started calling me a Nazi, even though I'm not German myself. Conclusion: It was a really nice evening with good food, but after this evening, we will definitely never go back. There are far better restaurants in Bochum with decent service.

U Sicilianu is certainly one of the best Italian restaurants in Bochum and the surrounding area. Piero cooks fantastically, and Luisa and her team ensure guests enjoy a relaxed meal. It felt like a holiday boost for us after a stressful day. Highly recommended!

The original, Sicilian-run restaurant was recommended to me by an acquaintance. Reservations are necessary because it is always busy and there are reasons for that. The food tastes wonderful. From pizza to pasta, everything is very tasty. The staff takes you on a journey to Italian longing with their friendly and relaxed manner. Price performance is simply super good. I've rarely eaten and drunk so well for such a fair price. Please keep it up! I will appear again and again :)

I met up with former colleagues there and was a guest for the first time. Apparently it is the former clubhouse of the tennis club located next door. All of the food was flawless and was served quite quickly despite the restaurant being full. I had a pizza with vegetarian toppings. After the meal we were offered a digestive schnapps, a very fruity liqueur. I can fully recommend the restaurant!

Just such a damn good Italian. A bit out of the way, but incredibly tasty. Rarely have I had such a good pizza. Service friendly, always a smile, just great. Ambiance very family atmosphere just great. From now on we will make this our regular restaurant ☺️

Quality has its price and I'm happy to pay it! You can taste the love for the kitchen and the long journey from Bergkamen is absolutely worth it!

Have been there again for a long time. Pleasant atmosphere, nice service, but the quality of the pizza has declined dramatically. The edge of the pizza is now about 3-5 cm. The tomato sauce is only applied carelessly and nothing reaches the outer edge. The desired covering is also applied casually, at the edge and just before it becomes very manageable. However, the prices, VAT increase, purchase prices or not, are not compatible...

I was there with my family, it took a while until we could order, I asked the waitress and the boss took everything straight away! Unfortunately this took a long time, then our Lassgne arrived and unfortunately it was cold so we reported it! This was taken away, but it was then put back to us after 3 minutes and unfortunately we couldn't tell which one had it, unfortunately only cheese and sauce! The schnitzels were quite expensive at 22 euros and the side dish was 5 mini cheeky potatoes, both schnitzels were dripping in fat! Drinks were ordered in small large glasses and then Sinalco came for 5 euros for half a liter!!! Mmh, unfortunately we don't anymore

Wurden bei unserem letzten Besuch leider enttäuscht hatten schon im Oktober für Weihnachten einen Tisch reserviert dachten das wäre früh genug mussten aber an Garten Tische und Stühle Platz nehmen,haben uns beschwert aber leider keinen anderen Platz bekommen obwohl noch genügend frei waren. Schade eigentlich

Essen super. Um Getränke muss man leider manchmal betteln. Groß, aber nicht sonderlich schick. Nettes und bemühtes Personal, aber beim Thema Getränke noch verbesserungsfähig. Und ich liebe Keller, die Getränke dezent hinstellen, ohne die Konversation am Tisch zu stören. Das klappt hier leider auch nicht. Aber aufgrund des sehr guten Essens kann ich darüber hinwegsehen und komme gerne wieder.
