Pizzeria Al Volo in Langen (Hessen)

The food is so good and the prices are quite reasonable. The server (the gentleman with the longer hair) is very attentive. He does a fantastic job. I highly recommend this pizzeria.

The best pizza I've had in a long time. The only pizza for miles around that really makes you think you're eating it in Italy.

I ordered number 8 on the menu. Warning!! Number 8 contains meat and is not vegetarian. Who would think "spinata" is meat?! Am I Italian enough to know what that means? The employee was uncooperative and said I still had to pay for the meal. I'm never coming here again!

Friendly and attentive service, paired with great food. I had the stuzzichini and the spaghetti carbonara. Both were delicious, and the carbonara was apparently made without cream, just like in Italy! Fantastico!

Yesterday was our first time at Al Trio. And what can I say...AMAZING!!! We received a fantastic welcome (even without a reservation, although I highly recommend making one given the quality), the food was incredible (the Pasta alla Chef was divine, and my wife's Tortellini alle Panna were the best I've ever had in a restaurant), and Kevin (the owner) is a great guy. He kept coming out of the kitchen to check on us. Of course, there were also a few treats (I'm talking Nutella pizza). The ingredients were fresh, the prices were totally reasonable, and the staff were super friendly. We wholeheartedly recommend Pizzeria Al Trio, give it a perfect score +1, and will definitely be regulars 🤤😊 Best regards to the team, Erik & Klaudija

Absolutely top-notch!!!!! A fantastic family-run Italian restaurant/pizzeria with amazing food and great prices. I've rarely eaten so well out. It's also difficult for Italians to find a place where you can eat exceptionally well outside of their own homes. A feast at a super price sums it up perfectly, I think. Unfortunately, a complete disappointment. The opening hours were supposed to be 5 p.m. We stood in front of the closed door for quite some time. No message on the door, and no one answered the phone. A shame.

The pasta has unfortunately noticeably declined since our last visit: from very tasty we can now only classify it as OK

Great Italian restaurant. Really friendly service and excellent food. It looks unassuming, but it's really good. We were staying here at the Mercure Hotel for an overnight stay before our flight to the USA. That's when we stumbled upon this place. Highly recommended.

Nice Italian restaurant with good food. The prices are okay, too; there are certainly much more expensive pizzerias here in Frankfurt. The service is also good; overall, you can't complain. However, there is a point deduction for card payments: First, there's a limit, and second, the device is prone to breaking. I'm already looking forward to the hopefully soon-to-be legal requirement to accept card payments, which is stipulated in the Koa contract, as this will put a stop to such practices.

We went to the pizzeria for the first time with 5 adults and 3 small children on Friday last week. We really enjoyed all the dishes, the staff was very accommodating and we all received our food at the same time, which I always find very nice. We will definitely come by again, unfortunately the restaurant is about 40 minutes away from us.

Update and response to owner's comment: How nice that you mentioned that I considered returning the pizzas. I had ordered the pizzas over the phone, but my mother was the person who picked them up, and she couldn't have known what "treasure" she was driving home. Only when you mentioned how much the pizza cost did I try to clarify the matter over the phone, but was met with complete incomprehension. On the one hand, there are different menus and I stupidly downloaded the menu from Google, which showed that the No. 10 Pizza Mista still cost €11. There was no indication to me that this was an old card and that the price had increased by €1.50. I also ordered the ham from the topping and wanted additional onions, garlic, jalapeno and an egg, so in my opinion not products that would have to be recalculated at €8.00 I come from a time when you ordered a pizza and could order such additional requests for 1-2 € unbureaucratically. Well, then I took a closer look at the “new” map, which can only be found directly on the website. Pizza Mista - €12.50 and each ingredient such as garlic, onions and egg is charged €1.50 each. Then you should be fair and deduct ingredients that were canceled (in my case ham = €2) But also simple spaghetti with tomato sauce 14.50 and with parmesan (actually of course) another 2 € extra. I just say Hallelujah!!! And I'm glad I didn't order another salad, as even a simple mixed salad costs €8.50 with yogurt sauce of course €10!!! Sorry, but these prices do not correspond to any reality, even with high energy prices!!! But apart from that, I was also cheated when calculating, because I paid €38.00 According to the old map it would have been: Pizza €11 + egg (1.00) + onion (1.00) + garlic (1.00) + jalapeno (1.00) = €15 x2 = €30 If you had been fair, you would have been able to deduct 2 x ham for 1.50 each, i.e. 3.00 - then it would have been €27 - which is a steep price if you picked it up yourself According to the new map it would have been: Pizza €12.50 + egg (1.50) + onion (1.50) + garlic (1.50) + jalapeno (1.50) = €18.50 x2 = €37 If you had been fair, you could have deducted 2 x ham for 2.00 each, i.e. 4.00 - then it would have been €33 From an old card to a new one, it's just €7 more expensive per product - that's what I call a huge price increase. But you will certainly understand that because of this mathematical difference I no longer drive off and waste even more gas and time. ;-) A day later today I would like to comment on the quality: The ingredients don't seem to be freshly prepared or are very unhygienic, but both pizzas resulted in significant diarrhea!!! So again: keep your eyes open when buying pizza!!!! Original message: Thank you very much dear Al Volo team for my most expensive pizza of my life so far. I even rolled out a red carpet to celebrate this luxury!!!!! Pizza for 19!!!!!!!! Yours to enjoy. This is usury and you will never see me again! PS There were no expensive foods on it such as seafood. A simple pizza mista with garlic and onions. This rip-off is simply unbelievable...be careful when buying pizza 😜

I'm currently working for a customer in Langen and am always looking for good restaurants nearby. I found one here, very tasty food. The restaurant is run by an Italian couple, which is very friendly. The service is very good and very friendly. I can recommend this restaurant and its food to everyone without hesitation. Price performance and the quality of the food is nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, you have to find restaurants like this these days, it's no longer a given!

We visited this local for the first time and were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately we were less pleased with the plastic tablecloth. However, Valentina's service was more than great. Her personality made up for the less than pleasant ambience. The pizzas are top! The edge is delicious. Requests are addressed directly. You really are a guest here. Many many thanks.

We spontaneously had dinner there today after a business meeting. The pizzas and pasta were very good. The service was very friendly and quick. The outside area was clean and there was a quiet place behind bushes, despite being right on the main street.

Nice atmosphere inside and outside with a beer garden. The staff is super friendly and the food is also very good, except that the base of one pizza was very oily. It seems more often than not Have a DJ play, which of course brightens the mood. The toilet in the basement and partly outside the window is very dirty and has lots of cobwebs. There are not many parking spaces, but you can park in the industrial area.

We ate delicious homemade pizzas baked "with heart", followed by latte macchiato and tiramisu. Nice, very friendly owners and employees, homely, inviting atmosphere both inside and on the terrace. On special days also with DJ entertainment.

Both the salad and the pizzas were really great, very large and rich, topped with fresh ingredients. The service was also really friendly (despite the full hut) and had everything under control. We were surprised to find such a good pizzeria in an industrial area.

While looking for a restaurant, we found “Al Volo”. And what do I have to say, it was all super delicious!! There were two of us and we hadn't made a reservation and got a table straight away. The service was very nice/kind, thank you very much for that. We had this as an appetizer. Delicious bruschetta pizza, main course pizza mista, rigatoni with tuna and olive oil.

Today I had the pleasure of attending a party catered by al volo. There was a vegetarian buffet with pizza, gnocchi, various pastas, fried vegetables and bruschetta. It was super tasty and there's nothing to complain about. Everyone at the party (30 people) was thrilled. So I want to eat there on my next visit to Hesse. I'm looking forward to it

Today we had a celebration with 30 guests with sensational food with pizza, pasta and grilled vegetables and an outstanding pepperonata. The bruschetta with whole tomatoes and olives were great. It just tasted good. Simply recommended. Great value for money

On the restaurant menu, the No.73 Pecorino is advertised as gratinated goat cheese with fig jam, balsamic cream and grilled vegetable bites. The food I received had nothing to do with the description, it was a tough mass and I looked for the vegetables in vain. I thought that labeling a single cocktail tomato as a grilled vegetable was a bad joke and that was €15.50. The taste of goat cheese is similar to that of an old shoe sole. Absolutely overpriced for 0 quality.
