Pizza from the shovel (alla Pala) is considered the Roman pizza and is traditionally served here on the wooden board that gives it its name. The dough is very thin and the ingredients are high quality and, like in Rome, the pizza invites you to share it in groups. Definitely eat fresh and locally, in summer it's nice to sit on the square.

Easy to miss: The shop is tiny, seats 2 inside and 15 outside, and is located between Don Gelato Ice Cream and Teja Lichtenberg Indian Restaurant. Great pizza, the dough is not only fluffy and light on the outside, but also throughout. The super nice and funny owner likes to chat with all the customers and prepares pizzas even off the menu, he really has some great vegetarian aces up his sleeve. We were given one with onion chutney which was fantastic, but the rest was great too. The only thing that didn't convince me was the quality of the olives, they were a bit too watery. The lunch menu 2 (2 pieces & a drink) filled me up very much and is well priced at €10.99 (06/24). We'll definitely be back!

Absolute recommendation! We had a vegetarian pizza based on the recommendation of the very nice pizza maker. It's great that you can have different toppings on a pizza. The ingredients are very fresh and very tasty. There is also a good selection of Italian sodas.

In terms of pizza it is the best I had in Berlin, and I come from Naples. It is not the traditional neapolitan pizza but it goes more towards the roman pizza style, which I absolutely love - the dough is light, airy, fluffy and still crunchy. The ingredients are really good which is rare in Berlin; generally speaking this would be great pizza also back home so it’s not just good by “italian standards “. If you are looking from a great pizza in Berlin which is also modern (but still in the italian) I strongly suggest you to swing by even if you do not live in Lichtenberg. The price might seem slightly higher than average but they are actually pretty low: what they call a half pizza will probably fill many people, and the full one is huge and not for everyone. Not to mention that when I ordered a full pizza to split with another person they warned me it could be too big and shown me beforehand the size of the pizza - really honest.

There is very, very tasty pizza here! We had a vegan pizza and it was one of the best I've ever eaten! The base is just the right amount of crispy and fluffy and delicious with the tomato sauce and all the side dishes on top! We can highly recommend it 💜

Really good pizza, very fluffy dough and good ingredients. The service is reliable. They call directly if they cannot meet the order time. And then they gave a packet of cookies as an apology even though they were only 3 minutes over the agreed time.

The pizza was very inedible... the cheese was tasteless, and the sauce on the pizza tasted like it was fermented. If I had to recommend the worst food in Berlin to someone, it would definitely be this place. And the location was the worst one could have chosen.

I will say it straight. This is probably the best pizza in Berlin; no kidding. It's roman style "pizza al taglio". I ordered 3 slices and it was quite a lot just for myself as the slices are pretty big (each one sub-sliced into 3, so it was like 6 small slices). I judged them based on crispiness, undercarriage, air structure and inner softness, sauce and quality/freshness of ingredients. It excelled in each of these categories. I simply have no "buts" for it. It was even very aesthetically pleasing. The owner is super nice. He explained several things about the process and is very knowledgeable. Keep in mind that this is a small place. There's only one small table inside and 4 small tables outside. From what I saw, locals order it online and then pick it up at the place. I hope they do well and eventually expand to more popular areas, so that more people get to know it.

Wow, what an experience! Pizza Lovers was recommended to me as an insider tip and I was not disappointed. The pizzeria is a bit out of the way, but it's worth the trip! The oven is operated by a true master of his craft. I have never eaten such a fantastic base: crispy and fluffy at the same time, and it also has its own character in terms of taste. You can simply notice the care taken in the preparation and the long resting time of the dough. You could also enjoy it completely without any toppings! But then you would miss the deliciously fruity tomato sauce, which impresses with its delicate acidity. It forms a perfect symbiosis with the highest quality mozzarella. The remaining toppings of your choice are added to the pizza in a pleasant dosage. Each individual component is present in terms of taste without overpowering the others. Overall, the pizza is characterized by a wonderful balance. Everything else about this small but fine restaurant is just right: the owner is super friendly and doesn't overwhelm even when it's busy. The location is located in an open space and somewhat remote from the center. This means it is by no means overcrowded and offers a few nice places outside. Unfortunately I'm not from Berlin, otherwise I would probably be here several times a week and would like to recommend a visit to all pizza lovers. You will not regret it!

I've heard a lot about this pizzeria on social media and wanted to check if the pizza was any good. And I can say that my expectations have been exceeded. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. There may be waiting times during lunchtime as he receives a lot of orders. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality, the pizza base is crispy. The selection of pizza is limited, but there is something for every taste. I had two pieces and was full until the evening. The only drawback is the shop is not nice to sit in.

This is the best square pizza I've ever eaten in Berlin. But opening days and hours are kinda weird. We've tried to order a pizza in the evening many times and it's not possible after 8 pm. Pizzeria should be opened a little bit longer and everyday, especially for delivery.

Ordered for the first time today. So tasty and really well topped. Just as it should be. The only thing that was almost non-existent in the homemade garlic oil was the garlic taste. We thought that was a shame. Edit: When we last ordered we asked for garlic pieces. We got that. Tasted so much better. Thank you very much!! Keep it up.

Super delicious pizza with a difference, the base is pre-baked and then topped and baked again. Only very good ingredients are used. The only drawback is that the shop is tiny, so you can take away or eat outside if the weather and temperatures permit

This pizzeria is definitely worth a special trip. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's probably the best slice of pizza in town. (They also prefer whole pizzas). Very airy yet crispy dough. Very fruity and tasty tomato sauce. The pizza is freshly prepared right in front of you. A great concept. The service is also very nice and friendly. I can only recommend this pizzeria.

Incredibly good pizza! The owner put together my own creation because I couldn't decide straight away from the wide range on offer. It perfectly suited my taste with fruity tomato sauce, rocket, gorgonzola, onion chutney, capers and fresh parmesan. The base is incredibly crispy on the outside but at the same time super fluffy on the inside and you can taste the quality of the ingredients for the topping. You can tell that the perfection of his product is very important to the operator, which he prepares with a lot of passion and love right in front of the customers. The price-performance ratio is more than fair at €5 for one person. Great recommendation and gladly again!

I haven't eaten such good pizza since the village pizzeria in Sorrento on the school trip in 1997. Otherwise I'm not necessarily a fan of fluffy base, but it's usually not as light and fluffy and still crispy as here. The ingredients and the composition are very good, at least the versions that my wife and I tried. Also with one or two things that you don't otherwise know. The advice is also great and you can tell that there really is a lot of heart and passion that goes into it. Absolute recommendation.

Pizza Lovers - the name says it all! I ordered the 40x40 pizza because the reviews were promising and I was keen on the dough. Basically I wasn't disappointed: fast, friendly delivery (25 minutes) Arrived warm and crispy huge box ;p visually appealing, 4 varieties as ordered the dough is the highlight, without question! It's rare to see such a fluffy, crispy dough - and certainly not delivered Rocket, gorgonzola, generally great ingredients and the spicy salami is awesome - definitely original Italian I will definitely order here again. A huge square pizza is sensational in itself - try it for yourself! Well invested 29 euros, which feeds 2-4 people Kind regards and keep it up ;)
