Pier99 in Nordhorn

Eten was van goede kwaliteit, de bediening was zeer rommelig oorzaak te weinig personeel ? We hadden verjaardag uiteten met familie , verjaardags eis op de site aangeboden gratis, achter thuis toevallig rekening gecontroleerd, bleek verjaardag eis gewoon in rekening gebracht... niet netjes . We zijn vaker bij pier99 geweest, je ziet de kwaliteit van bediening weg zakken , jammer

Vandaag een mooie en vooral lekkere brunch gehad ter ere van mijn man zijn 75 ste verjaardag. We waren met 50 personen. Iedereen was zeer tevreden.

Eindeloos moeten wachten tot iemand de bestelling kwam opnemen. Vervolgens duurde het maar en geen bestelling te zien. Aan het aantal personeelsleden kon het niet liggen. Na 3 kwartier kwam de bestelling eindelijk. De 1e en ook laatste x

“Relaxing on Lake Vechte” is how you would like to describe the house, but there is a lot missing for relaxation. Well furnished house with a good atmosphere thanks to the cozy lighting and lots of wood all around. The location by the lake is beautiful, the artificial fireplace creates atmosphere. The food is good, the staff has a tough time here, but is always friendly. Unfortunately, the house is overly expensive and the constant blast of music is just annoying. According to the reviews, the 4.1 rating I see here today comes primarily from this nice music. If it's someone's birthday, it's turned up even louder (in the ego instead of in common life). It's a bit like birthday parties at McDonald's in the ball pit. From the age of 50 onwards you no longer need it. At the weekend, pseudo-mothers let their children scream and rage while other people want to eat in peace. In addition, on weekends at lunchtime there are always misunderstandings that you won't be served because the staff assumes that everyone wants to go to the buffet. Just avoid it completely on weekends. The male staff (the previous female staff has probably left) repeatedly ignores intolerances, which is why they are devalued today. Opening from September 2024 only from 12 p.m. on weekdays. It's getting worse...

Where do you start, where do you end? Our reserved table was given to another group. It took 15 minutes to set up replacement tables before we could sit down. At no point was anything even remotely available at breakfast: whether it was bread/rolls, drinks or even cold cuts, there was never really anything there. We noticed other guests talking to the staff very angrily. The staff's answer: “they are understaffed and there is no other option”. We actually wanted to have breakfast here on Saturday and brunch here on Sunday, but after this relevant experience we canceled the reservation for Sunday. We won't be coming back. It's a shame because the location is quite nice and the location is great. The price is 0 justified

At the beginning of September, Saturday afternoon, wonderful weather, you're happy to sit comfortably by the water and then the Captain's Deck isn't open.

Unfortunately it's no longer the great pier it once was. We were there for brunch. Breakfast was actually enough for us, but it is no longer offered on Sundays. - The juice machine was broken, so there was warm, watery orange juice from the carafe - Eggs can only be found at the 2nd brunch buffet. Unfortunately they are all cold. Replenishment was not possible. - Rolls, cheap baked rolls. At this price you would at least expect fresh rolls of quality. The service staff is certainly difficult to find, but they should receive some training. A little more friendliness and hygiene must be a given. The rolls were filled into the basket, each one handled by hand. It shouldn't be like that. Otherwise the offer is very extensive. However, we had no appetite or the desire to wait any longer for the warm food. An arrangement might be an idea. In the meantime, with a wristband or token, you could use the time for a walk around the beautiful Vechtesee or a Treetboot tour, for example. Maybe an idea ;) The ambience is nice, but you shouldn't think about what's in the cracks in the wood. The great thing is the e-bike charging station at the entrance. However, there is no pole or stand to properly secure an e-bike.

We came here spontaneously on a Sunday afternoon after visiting Oosterik with four people. There was enough space. The service came quickly to take the order, 3x Vechtelümmel (very large currywurst with fries mayo) and one tortellini casserole. The currywurst tasted very good, as did the fries. However, we thought that the portion of fries should have been larger than just a handful given the price of the dish was 11 euros. According to our daughter, the tortellini taste much better at home.

Cozy atmosphere and very good food at moderate prices. There are also vegetarian options on the menu, which are super tasty.

Today was our third time at Pier 99 and we are more and more disappointed every time. At the entrance there are already stacks of dirty glasses on the counter, which doesn't look particularly inviting. Next the waiter came and wanted to collect even though we hadn't eaten anything yet. Many waiters don't know how to serve. Service desert Germany. Sorry, but you can't excuse everything with a lack of skilled workers.

- It was very warm inside. And no shaded areas outside. - We had to wait 45 minutes for someone to come to us so we could order something. We had called in advance about a gluten-free diet, it was said that a salad meal was gluten-free, but this turned out to be a non-filling salad with only vegetables and cheese. The menu had a legend (if there was no letter A, it was gluten-free according to the menu) I wanted to order fries with bratwurst because there was no A, but according to the employee this was not gluten-free. So I wanted to choose from a salad and the waiter said he would be back, I signaled to him that we were done with our choices, he walked to another table and then completely ignored us. We left again after 1 hour. NOT recommended for people who need to eat gluten-free

You can sit there by the water, beautifully designed. Staff was very friendly and you can sit inside and outside

Tuesday, half past five, few tables occupied, but actually enough staff there. I just don't know what they did. I didn't manage to order a second drink during 1 hour after the first. Tables that had been free for half an hour were not cleared. And the food was okay, but you'd be surprised if a schnitzel was on the table within 5 minutes. That somehow went too quickly, but the waiter wasn't seen again after that. I finally paid at the counter... but the young, friendly man barely understood any German, so he only answered my criticism with a shrug of his shoulders. What's great is the location and the restaurant itself, i.e. this ambience. But it was my second attempt, not anymore. It's actually a shame...

We went there twice and it was super bad twice! The high prices are not justified. Not recommended the store!!!

Went there for dinner on two evenings due to an arrangement from the Riverside Hotel. On the first evening we ordered a Vitello Tonnato as a starter, the dish was inedible, completely over salted and over peppered, as well as too much vinegar, you couldn't even taste the high quality meat. Then came a burger, completely dry, actually inedible, on the second evening we ordered a beef rump steak, which we returned immediately, it was tough and still raw on the inside. Due to our bad experiences, we will not be visiting this restaurant again and will not recommend it to others, we have never eaten so badly! The morning breakfast was also completely chaotic, staff completely overwhelmed, queues at the two coffee machines, and both of them were broken down. We waited for over three quarters of an hour to get a coffee. We will never spend our short vacation there again because of the miserable food, which is a shame because the hotel is very good!!!!!!

We are here for brunch... Called in advance. Unfortunately, we were greeted mostly by a yawning emptiness and annoyed, unfriendly staff with moderate capacity, the casserole was cold, the baked goods were empty, and you had to ask for breakfast accessories individually, which also resulted in nasty looks and the comment “Well, I was in a good mood until just now!” Unfortunately the photos speak for themselves...

I like to form my own opinion. We still have a chance against the whole thing, but unfortunately it's a complete disaster for the store. It's a real shame, but that's how it is. After a 2.5 hour drive we just wanted a coffee and a piece of cake. Arrived, free choice of seats. No problem. We sat down at the sunny window. Cards were already on the tables. After speaking to one of the staff for 17 minutes, our order was taken. It took a full 15 minutes to get the coffee. After another 12 minutes we stopped the whole thing because the cake wasn't there by then. After we pointed out to the waitress that we were only paying for the coffee and the cake had to be canceled, she realized that no cake had been booked. Unfortunately not even 1 star!!!

Service is very nice and friendly, but it doesn't keep up. Drinks take too long and when you want to pay it takes forever. Too few staff for the rush. Otherwise, it's great to sit outside and the food tastes great as always. And the existing staff really tries hard!!

No service that was even attentive to take an order. At some point you don't feel like waiting anymore. We left and won't be coming back any time soon

Buffet is only refilled upon request. The hand fillet was bone dry and the fish was overcooked. For €26.50 you have to deliver a little more quality. It's a shame, because the ambience is great

Breakfast (brunch) is available until 1:00 PM. At 12:00 PM, 2 containers were already empty and were no longer replenished. Breakfast included coffee, tea and water. I was charged for this and after a lot of whining I got it back, I won't go there again, too expensive for what you get

We were there after the big "run," lunch. We sat outside because the weather was inviting. The very unfriendly waitress explained that there was no service outside. No problem, we get our coffee ourselves to take it outside. Unfortunately that wasn't allowed either. We won't be visiting Pier 99 anymore and will tell our friends in Lingen about the experience. We are there once a year. Always great, very good food, delicious cocktails. The breakfast buffet is very lovingly prepared, nothing is missing.

Super cool tent in a beautiful location and the food tasted great. Controls are in hibernation or they are already in hibernation.

We came for brunch. Reserved. 10:45 am. No more rolls, no bread, no pancakes, scrambled eggs that were already caked in the warming container. Everything half empty. Upon inquiry it turned out that they could/would no longer fill. i.v. they could not use the kitchen to prepare for lunch. We ran away! Scandalous.

The frühstück this morning was far below par. Made a reservation at 10:15 am, there was no bread left, scrambled eggs were gone. Only after 10 minutes was only moderately supplemented with some pre-baked rolls. After complaints from several people, the staff responded quite laconicly, and the restaurant was not even half full. So not value for money!

Wij kwamen met een groep waterfietsen voor en na de de tijd wat gedronken,mijn buurvrouw had de cafe een zak je prut in heet water ,haar mond zat vol koffieprut,mijn koffie was goed,en ander buurvrouw had lauwe koffie,had we ook een 3 kwartier op gewacht voor de koffie kwam.Na de. Fietstocht die leuk was nog wat gedronken ,maar schrokken ook van de prijs.

As always, we had a delicious meal at Pier99 today. The staff is always very friendly and the atmosphere is simply lovely. And we will definitely come back.

When, after more than 25 minutes of waiting, no one had come to the table to at least order a drink, I left. While waiting I read the reviews and apparently I was not the first to complain about the long waiting times. Too bad... because the location is beautiful on the water. I can't judge food

Unfortunately the waitress spoke absolutely no German. After repeating the order several times, she still didn't understand it and I had to show it to her on the menu. In a German restaurant you can expect a certain basic knowledge of German from the service staff.

The food is quite good, the portions are okay too. But the service is subpar. A nice table was reserved for us, which was occupied by another couple despite the reservation sign. The couple was asked if they would like to change tables, this was answered in the negative. As a result, we were put in the last unsightly corner and skillfully ignored by the waitress. We had to wait forever for any service and were even given the wrong orders. It really wasn't a nice stay for us.

Unfortunately it's no longer the way it used to be. Service doesn't even ask if everything is OK. You wait a long time until you are served. Volume too loud in the lower range. We had pizza where the crust was too hard. Everything has become quite expensive, so such a service is no longer acceptable.

Unfortunately the service at Pier 99 is very poor! During our visit we had to wait for over half an hour before a service person even noticed us and took our order, even though we had reserved! The drinks were then served at different times so that not everyone had something to drink. The food was there before the drinks, which wasn't well planned either. We had to keep asking for a new order and no service person came to our table on their own. We won't be coming back any time soon. It's a shame because the atmosphere is great!

A nice restaurant located directly on Lake Vechte is where you can relax. The food and ambience are good. A clear recommendation from my side!

The view of Lake Vechte is great. The food was rather poor and lukewarm. The burger was ok. The pizza was super thin and way too crispy. The bread and aioli with the salad were not tasty. The food took forever and then suddenly appeared when asked. I'm assuming the heat lamp has been active for a while. The service was rather sparse. Not ideal for the prices. It's a shame actually.

Very diluted Aperol, salad with 2 measly strips of beef, "fresh baguette" were the remaining bread from breakfast. Waitresses overwhelmed. Not recommended.

The food was good, the service was good (4 of the 5 drinks we ordered came), the ambience is very good, actually the best thing about the location. “Unfortunately” we were there on Friday, which was DJ day. The music was so loud you couldn't have a normal conversation. It's ok in a disco, but that's not possible in a bar. A friend of mine was at the DJ and asked him to turn the music down a little, but was met with an unfriendly rebuff. We would have stayed for a few drinks but it was just too loud!! Our neighboring table also left the restaurant because of this. It should be something to think about if even the staff finds the music too loud! We drove over 30 km, but I for one will not stop there again.

We were sitting downstairs at the window and a waiter who ONLY speaks English comes to us and asks if we want to eat something. We wanted to take a look. After that, the waiter who was actually responsible didn't pay any attention at all. He poured the drinks on me, I got no apology, nothing. WE WAITED 1.5 HOURS. Not recommended. Has totally deteriorated. Totally overwhelmed waiters

We come here to eat regularly. Over time, you noticed how the service had deteriorated and the waiting times became significantly longer. Today, for example, I waited 20 minutes despite asking if I could order and nothing happened. Then an employee came to her shift and was responsible for us. Because of her it was the best evening we had at the pier. Franzi is really very attentive, very friendly and personable, no comparison to the other employees who “ignored” us. Franzi made sure that we got our drinks and food quickly after the long wait. Kudos to her. We only come to the pier when she's working.

Hello, Unfortunately not what it once was! Food lukewarm, half forgotten. Long waiting time. When we asked where the bread was, the answer was, I can't do anything about it, it's up to the kitchen. As I said, noodles lukewarm Pizza was almost burnt, very cros and also lukewarm. For us it was probably the last time we were there.

Very tasty breakfast and very nice service

Good location whether by bike or car. Nice view of the lake as long as the pontoon in the foreground doesn't affect it. Sometimes there are slightly longer waiting times for service, but always very friendly and accommodating.

Quality of food is good. Service poor, we ended up getting our drinks from the bar ourselves when we were halfway through our main course. The next day the starter arrived, and after some insistence our drinks arrived, at the same time as the main course. That main course was put under a warming lamp and they wanted to serve it later. Ultimately it was sent back (cold) and a new one was made. So tip, order your drinks first. Only when you have that do you eat and make sure you are willing and able to wait a long time.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was anything but satisfactory. There were problems with the food: some of the dishes we ordered were simply forgotten and some of the dishes that were served were overcooked and not really edible. The service seemed completely overwhelmed, and overall the food was a huge disappointment. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant.

Service was friendly, slightly overwhelmed as it was all temporary students and the shop was full. We had salad with fish and beef fillet. The salad was good, the dressing was fresh, the salmon and scampi were fried to death. The beef fillet, for whatever reason, was partly tough (BEEF THIEF?) It's a shame. But definitely an exception.

The place is simply loud. You can hardly have a conversation. Today we waited 1.5 hours for our food, there was no apology when we decided to go to another restaurant. Drinks only came upon request and not from an attentive waiter. Sorry, but that's not how I imagine service in a 4* hotel. Too bad! It's been better with you...

Not what it used to be. I have always enjoyed coming here for years and the staff, service and food have always been good. However, the quality of the restaurant has deteriorated significantly over the past few months. You often wait up to an hour for the food, which is often still half raw, the waiters hardly pay any attention to you and only come to take your order when asked. All this for smaller food portions and rising prices. Today we wanted to spend another evening there to celebrate a birthday and the drinks order was only taken when we asked. During the second round of drinks we were told that the cocktail machine was broken. After waiting in vain for the food for over 1.5 hours, we paid and went to another restaurant. Actually, the visit wasn't even worth the money for the drinks. Really unfortunate and disappointing. That was probably the last time for now.

The burgers are dry. Rarely have something like this been served. Very loud and no ambience. We never again.

Unfortunately it was totally slack, long waiting times even though it wasn't very full. 5 different service staff, waited about 30 minutes until you could pay, even though this was pointed out several times. Food is also no longer as good as it once was. Guacamole didn't taste homemade. Tomatoes weren't ripe yet. Unfortunately, the tables and the floor weren't very clean either.

Unfortunately, the service at the pier is very poor. Drinks only came after repeated requests. It just said that another employee was responsible for the drinks. The Toscana salad was quite overpriced...a few tomatoes, some cucumber slices, some greens and a few pieces of beef that were inedible.

Delicious food and beautiful views from the window (if you sit by the water). Only sometimes no card payment is accepted... I'm there relatively rarely, but I hope this was an exceptional situation.

Actually delicious food and comfortable to sit there, but after paying the waitress pointed out to us that you can also give a tip if you pay with your card. I didn't ask and I often tip when I'm there. Apparently you will then be made aware of it straight away

The pier has a nice atmosphere, but if you want to eat with a few people, I unfortunately can't recommend the pier. For example, I had a salad for €18 that was missing 3 of the ingredients listed... Unfortunately, we had to reorder several times... Unfortunately, such errors were not taken into account in the billing. At least €18 for a salad like that was annoying!! Otherwise, my companions' cuisine wasn't very strong either. The service was still friendly! We'll be back for a cocktail, but not for dinner! :/

Heute sind wir mit Urlaubsbekannten eingekehrt, wollten ursprünglich was essen und trinken doch beim trinken hat es schon aufgehört und das "Kind war schon zu tief in den Brunnen gefallen": Von vier Leuten hat die Kellnerin die Wünsche zusammen aufgenommen und es offenbarten sich die Defizite dieser Gastronomie, zwei Getränke kamen im Abstand von 10 Minuten nach 20 Minuten. Wir haben uns und auch den Kellner gefragt was an einer Cola Zero denn wohl 20 Minuten dauert.... Mein Getränk Strawberry Caipirinha erschien nach einer Rundreise von 10 Minuten an mehreren Tischen und der Nachfrage bei zwei Bedienungen nun endlich an unserem Tisch. Meine Frau hat ihren Latte Macchiato nach einer halben Stunde völlig kalt serviert bekommen, den sie dann auch reklamierte und zurück gab. Das war für uns Grund genug gar nicht erst nach was essbaren zu schauen und von einer weiteren Bestellung Abstand zu nehmen. Wir haben uns für dieses Lokal einfach nur noch geschämt und bei den Urlaubsbekannten entschuldigt, das war uns alles nur noch mega peinlich und auch unsere Freunde bestätigten uns einen indiskutablen Ungang mit Gästen. Sorry aber so kann man Gastronomie nicht betreiben, kein Geld verdienen und schon gar nicht Kunden zufriedenstellen! Manche machen sich ihre Probleme einfach selbst

Poor service, sat for some time without service. Staff came who didn't speak German, another colleague was sent who didn't understand us either. The planks on the outside terrace have come up and screws are sticking out. My little son bruised his toes, bloodied them. I was asked several times that this wasn't possible, but there was no response. Overpriced food, poor execution. It's a shame that things have deteriorated so much there.

Beautiful location where you can ideally celebrate birthdays or similar events.

The store has become really bad. Meat not cooked through, the wooden tables are really disgusting, there are leftover food in the cracks. So much dirt under the benches. The seat cushions are so dirty...you don't want to sit on them. Service... well it takes time, but it's nice.

Restaurant on the water. Beautiful view over the Vechtsee. Covered terrace on the water. In the restaurant it is table service. On the terrace on the water it is self-service with a limited choice. So I couldn't get coffee. And I was allowed to order the coffee in the restaurant, but not take it to the terrace on the water.

Orders take years before they are taken, but the food and drinks are still delicious. Shame! Because it is a very pleasant place to be.

Were there with 3 families. Everyone was very happy with the breakfast buffet. Large selection, good quality. Price performance is completely okay. Very nice and child-loving staff.

I do not recommend this restaurant, we had to wait about 2 hours for our food with 3 people. The food was not tasty and the service was also bad. I will definitely never go here again.

Location right on the lake. You sit inside and somehow still outside! The furnishings are rustic, which is nice, but quite unkempt. Some of the mostly young employees apparently had no work, although more cleanliness would have been useful. They're probably not set up for that. The gentleman who took our order was very nice and passed on our wishes, but unfortunately they were not implemented! The beer garden is quite nice to look at and somehow unique.

We passed by here while taking a walk and spontaneously decided to grab something to eat. The burgers were a little carelessly made with molded meat and a little too cold. The taste was good as were the fries. These were very hot and delicious. The cold beer made me want to hike again. There were no surprises when paying because the prices were normal. We'll come back and try something different.

I have visited the restaurant 2 times so far. The first time with a group of friends, and the 2nd time on the occasion of a wedding anniversary. On the 2nd occasion, unfortunately, I found a worm in my food, which gnawed on my knife as you can see. I reported and immediately received another meal, so I was not charged for anything. But apart from that, I am satisfied with the service!

We, two birthday children, were there this morning on the 12th. 07:24 for breakfast there. Very friendly welcome and good, attentive service at the table. Buffet: fresh and delicious. Rolls were still warm. Everything you expect is there. Scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, salmon, smoked trout, delicious herring salad. Cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt and sweets (donats and others). Fortunately, even cappuccino or latte was included in the price. Birthday ice cream was a large portion. We were completely satisfied and will come back.

Nice location, but a bit expensive for the range

Since recently, something new awaits you at Pier when you walk straight into the restaurant, a courteous staff and a fast kitchen are noticeable as well as the new service that strives to put CUSTOMER SATISFACTION first. A management that mingles with the guests to better understand and serve its clientele. Something new that you hadn't experienced at Pier for years, definitely a good, new and nice feeling that goes with the delicious food. We are already looking forward to our next visit on site
