Very tasty, very friendly, attentive and competent service

We went there very spontaneously. It was simply delicious and we'll be visiting more often now.

We were visiting Brauweiler and were taken out to dinner here. The terrace was half full. The waitress clearly had trouble keeping track of everyone. We opted for a pasta dish from the daily special, which we regretted. The portion was small, and the excellent chef, often described here, was unfortunately not recognizable. I've known this dish to be much tastier at various Italian restaurants. Our evening was still enjoyable, but unfortunately, the food that day didn't contribute to it.

I was at the In Bianco dinner... and this was the result... for 4 people, 500 euros, 4 bottles of regular wine, no tip, no credit card payment. I think the photos describe the food... the dessert was missing, it looked like a kiosk gelatin...

We were always very satisfied here. Highlights include the homemade Bressaola, the delicious Vitello Tonnato, and the daily specials on the blackboard. The wine recommendations were always first-class! And the service couldn't be faulted.

In itself it is a nice shop, service and ambience are good... But the pizza is very bad, is limp and bland. There is no variety of pasta dishes. And in my opinion, an Italian restaurant should ALWAYS have truffles on the menu, regardless of the constellation.

We only went there because the pizzeria opposite was closed. Rarely, oh, actually NEVER had such a bad pizza as here. Never again. Then 100% prefer to Belvedere!

If you want to be at the top, then the evening has to be a well-rounded affair, and unfortunately it wasn't. The food was high quality and tasty, but unfortunately the portions were very small and not well tempered. Filet came bloody without question, as the guest requested. We got a day menu when we asked, wine list only when asked, dessert was only listed when asked. There were dishes on the board that weren't on the daily menu, which was just a shame. You wonder how the pizza can get so soggy despite the high-performance oven. The service seems extremely strained and communication is only taciturn when absolutely necessary. We missed voluntariness, hospitality and warmth; it was cheerless, loud and uncomfortable/cramped. Unfortunately, another visit is currently unimaginable for us.

By far the best Italian restaurant in the Pulheim area. It easily competes with other more expensive restaurants in Cologne. The food is authentic and freshly prepared. High-quality products are used, not cheap stuff. Highly recommended!

Premetto che in Germania ristoranti con la bandiera italiana c'è ne sono fin troppi e cosi mi fido di mio figlio che a sua volta si fida di una collega che consiglia questo ristorante. Così il bravo cameriere ci fa accomodare nel portico della terrazza che da sulla piazza di Brauweiler che ha un colpi d'occhio fantastico . Ordiniamo carpaccio di rana pescatrice , gnocco fritto ( abbondantissimo ) e gambero nocciola . Tutto molto buono e ricercato anche nell'impiattamento. Primi piatti abbondanti come dovrebbe essere ( continuate così) . Io prendo tonnarelli speck e zucchini . Ravioli burro e Salvia la mia amorosa e Tagliatelle al Ragu in bianco ( vitello dii qualità) mio figlio. Tutto perfetto . Anche il servizio fatto da una squadra giovane ma dinamica . Alla fine espresso e su consiglio del bravo cameriere che ci ha convocato per l'intero pranzo una bella grappa barricata . Paghiamo il giusto. Porterò altri amici anche per le pizze che mentre passavano su altri tavoli avevano aspetto molto invitante . Bravo anche il titolare che alla fine si è affacciato per salutare com un grande grazie e buona giornata in perfetto italiano .

In our opinion, a good Italian with excellent quality. Since my wife has Italian roots and we appreciate good food, we felt we were in good hands here. My dish, Venetian-style liver with side dishes, was excellent. Homemade dessert. Service very friendly and accommodating. The rest of the pizza was happily packed up for us to take away. Super!

Waren gestern mit Freunden dort. Nettes Ambiente mit viel wein deko. Nette und flotte Bedienungen und schön gekühlter Wein. Die Speisekarte liest sich gut und ich war über die Preise überrascht. Das hat sich allerdings sehr relativiert nachdem die Portionen auf den Tisch kamen. Die Pasta in kleinen Schalen sehr übersichtlich. Und der wolfsbarsch für das Geld definitiv zu wenig. Ob er frisch war bin ich nicht sicher da er eher sehr weich war, was auf TK Ware hinweist.

Very nice restaurant with very tasty dishes and nice service. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. From classic pizza and pasta dishes to delicious fish or beef tartare, you will always find what you are looking for here! Waiting times are absolutely fine and during this time you will be provided with bread and a small greeting from the kitchen. Gladly again :))

Really have the best pizza in the village, but unfortunately they don't offer Lillet Wildberry. Therefore a 4/5

Unfortunately, I have rarely experienced a more unfriendly basement than today at lunchtime in this restaurant. Completely annoyed, unfriendly and ignorant. Later a second waiter came (presumably the boss?), who was much friendlier. The food in general was quite tasty but nothing special. The portions, however, were quite small and very expensive. Once and never again... unfortunately I can't honestly recommend it to anyone...

World class pizza! Wine and ambience!

The ambience is ok. The service was fine. When you ask for an explanation of the dessert, the names of the desserts are read out as if you couldn't read yourself. The pizza was just okay too. Thick crust, as if you were trying to bake a Neapolitan pizza. The dough itself isn't nearly fluffy enough for that. The pizzas' own creations have strange tastes. I don't have to have it again...

What a great find! Beautifully located at Guidelplatz, the restaurant invites you to stay outside. The attentive team quickly found a table for me, and the first glance at the menu already confirmed that I was in the right place :-) There's a small but fine selection of wines, and the wine list even offers a little surprise: Champagne from Veuve Fourny & Fils. I opted for the 4-course surprise menu, which was very reasonably priced. Every course, including the amuse-bouche from the kitchen, tasted great. I especially want to highlight the course with pasta and the one with asparagus and meat - absolutely fantastic! After a longer break, I couldn't resist ordering a Neapolitan-style pizza. What can I say? This is exactly how I like my pizza - perfect! To finish, there was an herb liqueur made by the owner's mother in Sardinia. A very lovely evening with high-level cuisine, using quality ingredients prepared by a chef who knows his craft. You can sense the passion the owner has for running his restaurant - bravissimo!

If I watch a series about restaurants on Netflix or Amazon Prime and it shows an original and you like it, then you've come to the right place. The head chef loves his job. He does what he can, what he loves. You can taste that. Just like the whole staff does what they like to do. It's family-like. Original. Perfect. Mille Grazie!!

Unfortunately a disaster with a larger group. Out of 18 people, 6 didn't receive their food and only after 3-4 times After asking, the order was taken again and ultimately slammed on the table without a single word of apology. Unfortunately not recommended for the price category. In the end, the food was still delicious.

3 Jahre später - signifikante Verbesserung!! Netter Service, interessante und wirklich gut zubereitete italienische Gerichte. Die verschiedenen Bruschetta Vorspeisen sind ein Must Have! Nun sind wir gerne und regelmäßig zu Gast.

Auf Empfehlung waren wir heute im "Piazza Maggiore" essen und sind total begeistert! Ein junges, sehr engagiertes Team bietet original italienische Küche auf ganz hohem Niveau zu erstaunlich fairen Preisen! Bedient wurden wir von Guiseppe, einem sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen jungen Mann, der über ein erstaunlich gutes Fachwissen verfügt. Chefkoch und gleichzeitig Inhaber ist Ricardo, sehr nett und bescheiden, dessen Kochkünste überragend sind und eher in einem Edelrestaurant vermutet würden. Hier aber kommt seine Klasse den Gästen zu moderaten Preisen sehr entgegen! Die Kalbsleber nach Venezianer Art ist ohne Übertreibung wirklich Weltklasse = besser geht's nicht und das für 24.- € (!). Genial auch das Carpaccio vom marinierten Seeteufel mit Roter Bete, die Gambas in Haselnusskruste, das Lamm-Ragu, der Kabeljau in Zitronensauce, die Tarte Tatin und natürlich das Tiramisu. Nicht zu vergessen die Pizzen! Die Auswahl an italienischen Weinen ist sehr gut und zeugt von Sachkenntnis. Im "Piazza Maggiore" stimmt alles: Lage, Parkplätze, Einrichtung, Service, Küchenleistung und Preise. Diesem motivierten jungen Team ist weiterhin Erfolg zu wünschen! Wir werden noch öfters kommen und können dieses Kleinod nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir waren spontan an einem Samstag Abend dort und waren überrascht, dass wir so spontan mit 4 Personen einen Tisch bekommen haben. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, der Service (Frau und Mann) gemischt- die Frau war sehr nett und der Mann....bemüht.... Zum Essen: - beide Kinder hatten Bolognese, die leider vollkommen versalzen waren. Die Pizza meiner Frau war leider nicht knusprig sondern weich und labbrig. Meine Carbonara waren lecker aber die Porttion leider sehr klein. Eis als Nachtisch gab es nicht (stand aber auch nicht auf der Karte). Die Bolognese sind uns am Ende nicht berechnet worden - trotzdem war es ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis! Auch weil auf unsere Beschwerde zu den Bolognese vor Ort gar nicht groß eingegangen wurde. Erst beim bezahlen stellte sich heraus, dass man sie doch ernst genommen hatte Fazit: Ich zahle lieber ein gutes Essen als dass ich mit hungrigen Kindern wieder fahren muss.

Wir waren gestern Abend in einer Gruppe dort Essen und alles hat super gepasst. Die Einrichtung, das Personal, das Essen und das Ambiente. Hier ist es möglich, den Alltag vor der Türe zu lassen und einen sehr gemütlichen Abend zu verbringen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Der Blick in die offene Küche ist sehr schön und gibt einem ein gutes Gefühl, welches das Essen betrifft und dessen Qualität. Somit ein sehr gelungener Abend. Vielen Dank dafür.

Excellent appetizers and pizza! Fantastic wait staff!

Hervorragende Pizza Speziale...der Teig ist ungewöhnlich fluffig, mit dickem Rand und tollem Geschmack, der Belag mit tollem Pesto, Lachs und Spinat. Nudelgerichte sind eher klein portioniert und sehr al dente gekocht, mit abwechslungsreichen Zutaten. Es gibt immer einen Gruß aus der Küche mit Brotkorb und sehr gutem Olivenöl vorweg. Wir mögen sowohl die schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf die Abtei wie auch das Ambiente im Restaurant.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend heute beim Geburtstagsdinner! Leckere Antipasti, tolles kleines Nudelgericht, hervorragendes Saltimbocca und eine gute Nachspeise. Das Tiramisu ist herrlich! Nette aufmerksames Personal, gutes Ambiente. Toll, dass es so einen Laden i. Brauweiler gibt!

Filete mit Pfeffersosse war geschmacklos, die Sosse unscheinbar, Präsentation katastrophal, Salatbeilage scheinbar aus der Tüte, somit das Gesamte überteuert. Der Service war bemüht.

Sehr ungastlich. Wir haben einen Salat mit Scampi 🍤 bestellt. Der riecht widerlich. Keine Entschuldigung. Der junge Kellner hat nur mit den Schultern gezuckt und weg getragen. Als wäre es eine ganz normale Situation. Die Rechnung ist nicht korrekt gewesen, statt Kinderportionen wurden normale berechnet. Wieder keine Entscheidung oder Rabatte. Das ist ein Restaurant aber kleine Pizzeria in der Nähe ist viel netter. Schade, weil Ambiente nicht schlecht da ist.

Was ein wundervolles Restaurant!! So ein schönes Ambiente. Vorab gab es eine mini Vorspeise aufs Haus. Der Hauswein war sehr lecker und die Pizza unbeschreiblich gut !! Preis Leistung stimmt hier vollkommen. Die Bedienung war äußerst zuvorkommend. Kommt her und überzeugt euch selbst!

Die Pizza war leider mehr Teig als ausgebacken, das Essen kam sehr zeitlich sehr unterschiedlich, den meisten am Tisch hat es aber geschmeckt Vielleicht geschuldet einer hohen Auslastung am Samstag Abend. Das Personal war leider nicht aufmerksam, Getränke wurden nicht ausgefüllt bzw aktiv nachgefragt. Wir versuchen es ein anderes Mal wieder, vielleicht haben wir dann mehr Glück, Schade.

Vorab: ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen! Wir waren seit Beginn an Kunden des Piazza Maggiore. Der Start war für das Restaurants aufgrund von Corona sehr schwierig. Daher konnten wir anfangs nur abholen. Das tun wir nach wie vor gerne und häufig. Genauso wie wie manchmal im Restaurant essen. Die Pizza ist absolut echt. Der Teig fluffig, geschmacklich top, der Belag nicht so überladen - was ich nämlich persönlich hasse, wenn der Teig z. B. so "erschlagen" wird von billigem Käse oder anderen Dingen. Hier gibt es frischen feinen Belag. All unsere Gäste waren bisher begeistert. Unser persönlicher Favorit sind die Spaghetti Carbonara. Nach original Rezept, nämlich ohne Sahne. Das bekommt man leider nur selten. Aber eben hier. Wir sind immer freundlich und höflich behandelt worden. Niemals arrogant, abfällig oder gar ignorant. Für mich als Italien-Fan eine absolut kulinarische Top-Adresse. Wenn das Wetter noch mitspielt und man draußen mit Blick auf die Abtei essen kann, fühlt es sich an wie Urlaub 🤗 Aber wie heisst es immer so schön? Wie Du kommst gegangen .... 😎

Wir waren heute Abend (sogar mit Hund) das erste und definitiv NICHT das letzte Mal zu Besuch. Tolles Ambiente, überaus nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Hier werden Getränke unaufgefordert nachgeschenkt und einem wird in den Mantel geholfen. Das Essen war fantastisch, von dem Tatar als Vorspeise, über echt neapolitanische Pizza bis hin zum hausgemachten panna Cotta. Die Menüauswahl hat mir generell sehr gefallen, es gibt nicht nur Pizza Margherita sondern weitaus ausgefallenere Kompositionen. Ganz klare Empfehlung und liebe Grüße aus Solingen

Das Restaurant bietet ein authentisches Ambiente und eine großartige Interpretation traditioneller italienischer Gerichte. Die Auswahl an Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichten ist umfangreich und alle Speisen sind mit frischen und hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet. Besonders beeindruckend war die Pizza - knusprig und mit frischen Zutaten belegt. Hier gibt es eine "weiße" und "rote" Pizza, was ich so noch nirgendwo anders auf einer Speisekarte gefunden habe. Eine breite Auswahl an Weinen und das überaus freundliche Personal machen das Essen zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und kann das Piazza Maggiore, den Inhaber Riccardo und sein Team nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Gestern Abend waren wir spontan bei unserem neuen Lieblingsitaliener. Die frisch zubereiteten Gerichte, die moderne Ausstattung und die gemütliche Atmosphäre haben uns mal wieder sehr gefallen. Der Koch kam persönlich zu unserem Tisch und hat uns begrüßt und seine Empfehlung ausgesprochen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
