Not very delicious...very low quality unfortunately.

If you want cheap food, this is the place for you. For €10 you can eat your fill until 5 p.m. From 5 p.m. you can even have various vegetables and meat freshly prepared by a chef. However, after 5 p.m. the buffet costs €20. It's relatively expensive for the quality. There is sushi, fries, chicken nuggets, fried rice, fried noodles, fried duck, fried shrimp, fried mushrooms and much more. Sometimes there is also a chocolate fountain in which fruits can be dipped. Meats available after 5pm include zebra, crocodile, kangaroo, beef, pork, chicken and turkey. Once prepared, this meat is automatically brought to your table by a robot, which I think is very cool.

Tonight fried food and crispy duck/chicken was completely over fried. Cleanliness and hygiene of toilets not good. An employee isn't very particular about hygiene - she sneezes into her hand while she cleans up and wipes down the buffet. It was the first time that a lot of things didn't fit. The buffet price is too high for that. Unfortunately, as a single guest, I was treated worse than guests who were two or more. Didn't feel welcome. The waiter and other MA ignored me when I wanted to pay. When I got up, he didn't come until I asked. All other guests were asked if they would like a calendar - fortune cookies were automatically distributed. Not with me, only when asked did he start to get slightly annoyed. I should have asked if I wanted that- his comment. There was no fortune cookie - suddenly it was either or. It was different at the next table. I didn't take anything with me and won't eat here again. 30€ wasted for not a nice evening.

Bad food, most of it is frozen, just heated

Very friendly staff. Always cleared straight away. Nice location. You have to experience it. The nice thing is that a robot drives around there and brings the food you order. But otherwise clean we can recommend it.

At lunchtime there is a cheaper buffet with less choice (but big enough) and in the evening there is a full program with really interesting specialties freshly prepared on the Mongolian grill. (If you prefer frogs and zebras in the wild rather than well fried, you can also find scallops or other delicacies)

We would have liked to eat here today. However, an older woman was told she had to wait at the front door until a table was assigned to her and was expelled from the table where she was seated. You could tell that the lady wasn't in very good health. Despite everything, the lady got up, but then suffered a faint attack! Strangely enough, "all" of the Phoenix staff suddenly disappeared!!!!!????? Other guests who saw what was happening took great care of the elderly lady when she almost collapsed! There was no apology to the elderly lady from the staff or management of the restaurant. As we later found out, she is "91 years old" and after a long, serious illness, she had been shopping at "Adler" very carefully for the first time for over a year with her daughter, who had in the meantime brought something to the car and is herself severely disabled To top it all off, go out for a delicious meal. Unfortunately, this was exploited for you by the “unserious, unprofessional, characterless employees and management”! For us, the topic of food at Phönix has now been settled... and we will continue to report on it and report on it! Sorry, that's not how you treat people who experienced the Second World War and rebuilt Germany.

We went there for the first time on the recommendation of a neighbor. The selection at the buffet is extensive, as is the selection of fish and meat at the grill buffet. A special gag is a robot that brings the plates from the grill directly to the table. For guests who had a birthday, there were quite a few that evening, the robot brought a present and played Happy Birthday. The staff was attentive and friendly. Despite all the pleasant impressions, I have to mention that the temperature of the buffet food was sometimes too low to lukewarm. That was a bit of a downer on what was otherwise a pleasant evening at the Phoenix. There is still air (temperature) up here.

Doesn't work at all...too greasy

Food: Buffet lukewarm to warm, not good in taste as some of it wasn't fresh. Price performance is accordingly sufficient. Service: We, 6 people, felt uncomfortable because we were given the feeling of not being welcome. We watched customers being laughed at by the staff. Whatever the reason, gossiping in the local language and laughing and pointing fingers is not possible at all. It's best to go in, pay and leave, then you're a welcome customer, that's how it came across to us. Ambiance is ok. Noisy, cramped, we could move around and the tables were clean at the guardianship. We were full and it was the last time in this restaurant.

The food was okay, unfortunately the service staff was more than demotivated and much too slow. The guests and their children didn't give much thought to teaching their children a certain amount of etiquette - running around and getting in the way of the service staff, as well as loud shouting and howling more than destroyed the ambience.

I've been there several times, whether as a couple or with family or friends, and it's always been good to my taste. Personally, I love the soup from the buffet (see picture) and always start my buffet course with it. In general, there is a lot to choose from when it comes to meat and side dishes, as well as dessert options. I also find it very nice and practical to put together your own dishes (in the evening) with different spices, even for people with allergies. I would recommend making a reservation on the weekend if you want to eat out with a larger group just to be on the safe side.

The bar of hot meals are super always full, the salats are fresh I suggest to serve more variation, for dessert to have a sortimen as well. En general the food is good quality and the workers are kind and efficient🩷

It has a cafeteria feel which is normal for a buffet meal, the price is good and there is a lot of choice on everything from soup to bedside tables.

I went to the lunch buffet with the family, everyone found something they liked and the service was great too. There were some dishes that were a little colder, but that was because they weren't the most common dishes and therefore didn't need to be refilled as often. Considering that each of us had 3 plates of warm food and then dessert, the price was more than fair.

I could hear a waitress saying quietly to a colleague: What is it again! The icing on the cake was visiting the toilets: broken flush fittings, paper everywhere on the floor, speaks for itself! In summary: NO RECOMMENDATION! Unfortunately, another restaurant that you can forget about with a clear conscience.

I've been a customer there for a long time. Unfortunately I have to agree with another review. We and the family also discovered that the food, even taken from the buffet bowl below, was cold. Unfortunately, the staff was uninstructable about the fact that the Bain Marie containers also have to come into contact with the hot water underneath. The food was not steaming lightly, as usual. This time there was only a cold buffet here. But the impression this time was so bad, even if the taste of the food was otherwise okay, that we won't eat there again.

Me and my friends went to this German-Chinese buffet on Saturday for lunch. The place looked nice and clean. The buffet was pretty good, lots of tasty starters and a good selection of main courses like fried rice, noodles, and curries. Some of the dishes were a bit too salty for my taste though. The dessert selection was a bit weak compared to other Chinese buffets I've been to, just some ice cream, cakes, and fruit. For the price, it was okay, but the service wasn't great.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Phoenix Restaurant in Halstenbek was a complete disappointment. From the start we noticed the unfriendliness and inattention of the employees. The reception was extremely poor, especially since we had a family member in a wheelchair with us. Instead of supporting us, the staff seemed annoyed and made us feel like our presence was a nuisance. When our family member in the wheelchair was restless, we noticed the waiters' concern that we would disturb the other guests. Our table was intentionally not cleared and we were largely ignored. It was obvious that the staff were whispering and laughing over us, which left us feeling extremely uncomfortable. The all-you-can-eat offer for €23.90 was also disappointing. The choice was limited and as a vegan you are definitely out of place here. The show cooking was very poorly organized. When we asked if there was a way to cook our food in a separate frying pan, we were just given a confused look and asked, "Ah, are you Muslim?" In summary, this was definitely our last visit to the Phoenix Restaurant. We felt unwelcome and had no understanding for the lack of consideration for people with disabilities. Neither the service nor the price-performance ratio is right here. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

We have been coming here frequently (at least 6 times a year) for several years. The quality of the food is absolutely ok, but above all constant / consistent with a very large selection: from soup to various pre-steamed and baked starters and main courses (beef, pork, chicken, duck, shrimp, fish, bridal noodles, fried rice, baked spring rolls, / Bananas/shrimp, scrambled eggs/omelette), side dishes/vegetables (rice, pasta, fries, fried potatoes, mushrooms, beans, mixed vegetables), fresh fruit (grapes, honeydew melon, watermelon, pineapple), salads (iceberg, rocket, sprouts, mushrooms). ..), some exotic fresh meat (beef, turkey, chicken, game, frog legs, kangaroo, deer...), fresh fish (pangasius, salmon...), various shrimps and mussels, wok/grill station, several types of sushi, Cakes/pastries, compote, various types of ice cream, chocolate fountains, mini-Dickmanns, gummy bears and much more, all standard drinks imaginable - all at unbeatably fair prices, no matter when you come. The tables are constantly cleared to make room for supplies, and waiters are always approachable and friendly. As expected, the ambience is typical - nothing special. Serving robots have been in use for some time. Of course, welcome wine and a fortune cookie to say goodbye are also included. There's really nothing to complain about.

Eat cheaply, the selection is always good

I was there on a Friday at 12:30 p.m. It was packed and you had to wait in a line across the restaurant. It's mass feeding. The food is OK, but not high quality. It's suitable for people who simply want to eat a lot for their money. I'm willing to pay more for good quality food. Then the ambience is also different.

Nice staff, very large selection of different dishes

You can order individual dishes or help yourself to as much as you like at the buffet, there is also plenty of dessert and ideal for me as an ice cream eater. There is also sushi. Ideal in conjunction with shopping at Adler. I like to celebrate my birthday with family, also because my granddaughters like to eat at Phoenix.

Food great, but unmotivated staff

The food is okay, so far we and all our guests have always been full. But it's been the same for years (!). A mix of “standard dishes” that are always offered and a “specials counter” with changing dishes would be nice. But as long as the restaurant is so busy at lunchtime and in the evening, the operator will probably have no reason to change anything. 😕

Completely inflexible service and unsuitable for young families. We specially called and “reserved” with a stroller. They said we should just come. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single table free where our 4-month-old child could stand with us in the stroller. The car should have been in the aisle where the robot just says "please make room for me, there are guests waiting for me". In the second room ALL tables except one were free. It just said "no service" Yes. Because the robot probably won't get over the threshold... But then one of the many employees has to bring the drink to the table... Or not 🤣 So we won't be coming here anymore. And if you can't get a suitable place on a Monday, despite calling in advance, that's very unfriendly to families and inflexible to the power of 10. We recommend giving strollers a wide berth around this restaurant. You can order more stress-free 😄 A pity. 0 stars.

Food was great, no question👍 only the toilets were destroyed, the toilet seat from the first toilet was on the floor and the toilets weren't clean! I've had this a few times now so work on it! It was simply brilliant, the selection and freshness was amazing, even in the lunch buffet. The staff was very nice and tried hard, especially towards the older guests. The look of the place is a bit old, but that is of secondary importance.

I definitely recommend it to all always hungry people like me!!
