Pavarotti Pizzeria - Pastaria in Karlsruhe

We'd love to come back again. Delicious food, excellent service, and a perfect Christmas party!

This pizzeria & pastaria is somewhat hidden away from the main routes in Durlach, on the grounds of the RaumFabrik. The menu features typical Italian dishes, all of which I highly recommend. We order for lunch pickup and occasionally visit for dinner. It's best to make a reservation in the evening, as despite plenty of seating, tables are usually quite crowded – especially outside. Good wine list!

This pizza is in the top 10 worst I've ever eaten in my life...:( The dough is not tasty... The pizza is not cut... 👎

The pasta with Arabiatta sauce was cooked al dente, and the sauce was delicious. The salad that came before the pasta was also fresh and delicious. The service staff was friendly and attentive. Even though we arrived without a reservation, they were immediately helpful.

The good reviews here are a complete mystery to me. I didn't enjoy my meal, and my companions' meals were average. Average to somewhat primitive pretty much sums up this restaurant. The Gorgonzola cheese sauce was tasteless; the pasta with pesto was tasteless (= old ingredients). And so on. When you complain, the staff becomes rudely stupid and rude, blaming the customer... Besides, there aren't any Italians working here anyway, in case anyone cares about that. Quite disappointing, although my expectations are generally pretty low these days, since the restaurant business is tough. Better to cook for yourself...

Very friendly staff, but the food quality has declined somewhat – especially the pizza. Today's meal was very tasty – however, I ordered a small portion and received a small portion, but still paid the full price for a normal portion. That's a shame. They could have communicated that clearly – then I would have eaten the rest tomorrow…

Absolutely convincing. Our first visit won't be our last. Great service, delicious food, and a wonderful selection – especially on the seasonal menus. And even though there was a minor kitchen gaffe with one of our signature dishes, the service and kitchen responded with total professionalism. Hence, our unconditional recommendation.

The spaghetti carbonara and aglio e olio used to be my favorites here – creamy, aromatic, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore: the carbonara is dry and lacks bacon flavor, and the aglio e olio unfortunately seems a bit bland, lacking any hint of olive oil, garlic, or chili. I miss the taste of the old days.

A good place to eat a delicious pizza, pasta, or salad. I just find the salad dressing a bit sweet, and they put a bit too much on it. Perhaps a simple vinaigrette would be a good alternative. The staff is super friendly and quick. So, this is a great place for lunch and dinner.

I highly recommend Pavarotti restaurant! My wife and I recently dined there and I must say, the osobucco I ordered was hands down the best I have ever had. My wife went for the fish and was equally impressed. The overall dining experience at Pavarotti was superb and we cannot wait to go back for more of their delicious food. If you are in the area, make sure to give Pavarotti a try - you won't be disappointed! We didn’t try pizza, but I can see it in all tables around, I think it’s also delicious!

Die Kellnerin erklärte in einer Vorstellung, die eines absurden Theaters würdig ist, dass meine Beschwerde gegenstandslos sei, weil ich den größten Teil dieses knoblauchverseuchten Gerichts verschlungen habe. Als ob meine Geschmacksknospen Opferlämmer für die Knoblauchgötter wären! Inmitten dieser knoblauchlastigen Tragödie kam die Erlösung in Form eines Weinkelches, der so göttlich war, dass er den Engeln ein Ständchen hätte bringen können. Seine Vollkommenheit war ein einsamer Hoffnungsschimmer in dieser ansonsten knoblauchlastigen Katastrophe.
