Paulas Alb - Lifestyle Wirtshaus in Ehingen (Donau)

As part of the Addnfahrer event in Ehingen, I reserved a table at Paula's Alm in advance – my first visit to this restaurant. As soon as I entered, I was immediately captivated by the rustic, cozy atmosphere. The ambiance is a real eye-catcher and exudes alpine charm. After a friendly greeting, I was shown to my reserved seat. The service was extremely courteous, attentive, and professional. I immediately felt at home. For the meal: I first opted for a salad from the buffet – the selection was varied and the quality excellent. That would have been enough for me, it was so good! But of course, I wanted to try more, so I ordered the Paula's Alm Burger. I was particularly pleased that I was asked for my preferred doneness – I chose medium. The burger was cooked to perfection and was a real highlight! I also chose fried potatoes, which were wonderfully crispy and flavorful. As if that wasn't enough, I treated myself to an ice cream sundae. That was definitely the highlight – and honestly, my limit. I felt so full afterward that I almost felt like Monty Python's Mr. Creosote! 😄 Conclusion: An absolutely wonderful evening with outstanding food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I can wholeheartedly recommend Paula's Alm – but maybe you shouldn't go to a comedy show right afterward if you're so stuffed! 😅 I was so full after dinner that I almost puked in the town hall during the Addnfahrer performance! 🤢😂

Everything was excellent and highly recommended. The large selection at the salad buffet was particularly great. The meat, saddle of venison and veal, was tender and tasty. The furnishings were attractive, with lots of wood. Overall it was a really pleasant stay.

Super delicious food and for hotel guests (the hotel is also highly recommended) there is an extremely rich and consistently successful breakfast available in the morning.

Great hotel for a transit trip to winter sports. Dark approach route. Parking of SUV with roof box in the underground is not possible.

Great restaurant. Cozy, the food is delicious, nice service. There is a great salad buffet. Everyone enjoyed it and we will definitely come back here. I just can't recommend ordering a Hibiscus Spritz, you only get a very small glass for €8.50. The vegan brownie with sorbet for dessert is extremely tasty and a good portion. I can highly recommend it.

Nice hotel in the old town of Ehingen. The rooms are clean and nice, but the heating/air conditioning doesn't work reliably. Although the rooms are advertised as soundproof, they are not at all (rooms at the front towards the street/main entrance). Parking in the hotel's own parking garage is relatively expensive. There are cheap parking spaces within walking distance. The breakfast is varied and tasty. However, we did not have the option to order individual orders (omelette or fresh scrambled eggs), as advertised online. Unfortunately you have to be content with the usual Tetrapak convenience scrambled eggs. The baked goods are mostly frozen, but you can occasionally find artisanal bakery bread. The SPA area with sauna is beautifully done and versatile. Unfortunately we didn't have any towels because the staff couldn't find the time to provide fresh towels and blankets. The fitness area is relatively extensive for a hotel of this type, but unfortunately it was not clean. Ambitious athletes should, if necessary, look for an external fitness studio. Since there is no proper separation between the SPA and the fitness area, it happens that over-motivated hotel guests use the equipment with their children in their bathrobes, which in my opinion is dangerous and an absolute no-go.

This is my favorite restaurant in Ehingen Donau. I like to visit him. Everything you order tastes great! I recommend the restaurant!! 😉

This is one of the best restaurants in Ehingen Donau. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff very friendly. Everything is clean and looks very expensive. The food is super delicious. The food is definitely not worth the money. Neither the onion roast nor the T-bon steak were convincing. The meat was tough, the fries were too salty and the salad buffet was unfortunately a 5 in terms of taste. It's a shame we used to eat there regularly.

Very chic and clean restaurant with lots of indoor seating. I don't know if there is an outdoor area. The restaurant was very busy, which meant a lot of work for the service staff, but they were always very friendly. The food was very good and there was something for everyone .Parking is free on site or nearby.

Nice mix of modern and rustic. The ambience was cool with hut charm thanks to lots of light wood but not old-fashioned. The food was extremely tasty and even with 15 people, the food came after a pleasant time and at the same time for everyone. Gladly again!

Very good, well-prepared guesthouse with very good cuisine. Due to the hut atmosphere and division into areas, you don't even notice how big it actually is. Very attentive service.

1. We took the cheese spaetzle but they weren't, they were cream spaetzle and had little to no seasoning to them. 2. I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my side dish and only took it when everyone was finished eating. Kind regards.

Very comfortably furnished inn. Plenty of space even for larger groups. Food was quite good. Portions are good. The onion roast was a bit tough, but cooked to perfection (medium). The side salad can be selected from the buffet. Plenty of selection at the salad bar. The service was friendly and quick. Definitely worth another visit.

Great location. Food great, staff very friendly, rooms comfortable and clean, restaurant very cozy. Just great. The only thing that was annoying was the large concrete pillar in the small parking garage. But since there are two other parking garages in the hotel, this is of no importance.

Very nice staff, even though there were a lot of children with us and they were running around everywhere. Salad and the main course were very tasty. Although we all got the same food, we were still served quickly, which is not easy with around 40-50 guests. Would love to come back. If you get a parking space, the first 3 hours are free, but you have to register in the system. Facilities simply top.

Rustic but chic atmosphere at the same time. Extremely friendly, attentive and competent staff. The dog was allowed to come along and was immediately welcomed as a “guest of honor” with water and a bowl. Auf das Essen mussten wir durchaus länger warten, was auch entschuldigt wurde. Das Essen (solide Gerichte) an sich ist echt gut, die Beilagen und Präsentation könnte durchaus etwas reichhaltiger sein.

Rustically furnished and very happy with everything

Some of the food was disappointing. Onion roast with tendons, salad was very good, but was only brought when the main course was already half eaten. The soup was excellent. The dessert was ok. The service staff seemed chaotic and overwhelmed and sometimes reacted snippily to questions. A small special request could not or would not be fulfilled. The atmosphere is very cozy and spacious.

We were having lunch at PaulasAlb as craftsmen. Despite the somewhat dusty appearance, we received very friendly service. The food that is difficult to describe I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Deer goulash, a poem, the house burger, wow. The fact that it is a restaurant is not reflected in the price. A place where you would love to go often.

What can you say about that? Everything is great! Prices are decent, but absolutely justified!

Paulas Alb is great. The interior is all wooden and cosy. The food is excellent, also the salad bar is great with all sorts of different salads. I can only recommend this restaurant.

The food is good. We had a person with us who relies on gluten-free food. In a telephone consultation, an allergen card was promised, which unfortunately was not available on site. Communication regarding intolerances is therefore difficult and one has to hope that the kitchen receives the correct instructions.

We had 3 wonderful days in Paula's Alb. Great breakfast and we went for lunch once. . The room was great too. Only he has us Balcony was missing, but that's the only thing I can complain about. We'll be back.

Food is good but prices are at a very high level.

I've been to Paula's Alb several times. The ambience is really great, the service is usually good (there are exceptions from time to time). The food is good, vegetarian dishes are sometimes a bit scarce (in relation to the price charged). A label on the salad buffet would be desirable for people who have to/want to avoid certain things. This has already been mentioned here in the reviews. As a guest, I don't feel like asking the staff every time what goes into the individual salads. What doesn't work at all, however, is dealing with complaints. As a guest, I don't want to be approached by the boss in an inappropriate, sulky tone, even though I have politely pointed out an issue. However, my friends and acquaintances have often confirmed the behavior of the boss. I've actually been avoiding Paula's Alb since what happened and won't be coming back. Too bad.

We were extremely satisfied with the food, the reception, the service and the atmosphere. Very friendly staff, Michi served us excellently. She was quick, efficient, funny and very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay in Paula's Alb and can highly recommend the restaurant. The starter of the fried pulpo with the truffled mashed potatoes was an absolute taste bomb. A big compliment to the entire staff and management. Worth a visit!

One of the few German restaurants in Ehingen that are also open for lunch. Only the salad buffet is worth a visit. I would immediately agree that it would be fine dining, but every time you are asked whether you have made a reservation first and something like that is a “no go” in any restaurant, you immediately feel rejected and unwelcome. I will come back and if I don't get asked this question anymore I will acclimate the recession in a positive way 😊

Since the renovation everything has become even more beautiful and fits together perfectly. The service is very professional and pleasant. The food is always very tasty, sufficient and beautifully prepared. Great concept and a real enrichment for Ehingen!
