The food was really delicious and authentic at fair prices. Had the okra soup with banku and chicken. I'm back home full and happy. The manager is very attentive and friendly. Bottom line: a must for fans of African cuisine!

The best jollof I have ever tasted. I had the best experience and food was amazing .. I went for the second time and had this Amari plantain rice ( a mixture of plantain,rice,chicken and vegetables and as you can see it looks amazing but the taste is even better. Definitely coming back

Attention was paid to every detail and the service staff's recommendations were absolutely spot on. The meal was a real treat! Every dish was freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. I would particularly like to highlight “Yam + Kebab and Mrs puff” which was a real taste explosion. The wine selection also matched the food perfectly and rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. The prices are more than justified for the quality and service. Food is 10/10,my 1st time here and I enjoy everything

We come from Düsseldorf and were traveling around the district, so we wanted to try something new. The restaurant itself has no particular style. There were candlesticks without candles on the tables, and both chairs and tables were dirty. There were boxes of food in front of the counter and one of the employees was playing with his cell phone so we couldn't help but overhear. The pictures on the wall were full of dust. We even had to tell the employee that the table needed to be cleaned. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us either. The fried vegetables were mostly onions and carrots seasoned with way too much pepper. We were looking forward to the plantains, but they were only small pieces. Overall the food was very greasy. The rice was okay, but you can't go wrong with it. The price-performance ratio is simply not right here. Unfortunately we would not recommend this restaurant.

I ordered Chicken Jollof Rice for delivery. But the food came without chicken! Instead of chicken I got beef. Very disappointed.

I could taste every detailed aspect of the food, well cooked and homely made feelings. If you want the best African food ( especially Ghanaian dish) i will never hide the recommendation of this restaurant. It welcomes couples too as well. THIS RESTAURANT STEALED FROM ME!!!! So after trying to resolve this issue with Lieferando three times and failing to resolve the dispute properly, I have no choice but to let all customers on all platforms know how underhanded, underhanded, dishonest and fraudulent this restaurant is. I ordered Chicken Jollof Rice (guys, that was disgusting, the rice had no color or taste and there was even hair in the chicken drumsticks), Kelewele (that tasted horrible) and AfroSoda. I received a call from the lady telling me that she was alone and had no drivers and that I should please order via UberEats or Wolt. I said sure I can do that but please cancel my order, she replied "I already have" and I trusted them and ordered again. The UberEats order came and the food was disgusting, I called again to remind them to cancel my order because it showed as active in the Lieferando app and replied "I already have". Well, I let it go and an hour later the app showed the order as delivered. I opened a dispute with Lieferando, to which they replied that the food was delivered according to the restaurant and there was nothing they could be. So please people, DON'T BUY THIS TASTELESS FOOD FROM THESE THIEVES.

Positive comments: The foods were fantastic. We took 3 different meals and they were all fantastic and very delicious. Negative comment: it takes too long to finish. Just order one hour ahead. I would recommend all the time.

Strong sea bream (dorade) fish with banana, yam, and rice are highly recommended! Rice cake-like dumplings made with horse flour have a strong sour taste and less texture than rice cakes, but they are traditional dishes and should not be overlooked. It looks like it is cooked by steaming it in plastic. There is also space to sit outdoors.

I once paid €12.50 for Plantain Red. I understand that the prices have had to be raised over time, but the dish now costs over €21 and the fish is smaller than it used to be. The price-performance ratio is no longer right here

Ordered fried rice ....it was very bad

Yesterday 22.06.24 oder fish,and Banku, the fish was complety rotten with bad small, tomatoes and onoins were not fresh, calling back the only telling me Sorry and i have being a customer there mostly i take delivery, very Dissappointed with yesterday order 👎👎👎.

The food was very bad, we ordered Kebab, The kebab was very oily, with soo much of vegetable than The Meat. No suya powder on it, which means you can’t call it kebab.The kelewele was just like fried plantain ,no spiciest, just groundnut ( the groundnut can be counting) the yellow plantain wasn’t fresh, it was just the old one that was fried again. We got a burned banku, but the tilapia was nice with the pepper.what was the baddest of it all was the jollof and The wakye, how Can jollof look like wakye, and wakye look like jollof. No taste In the food, how can you sell such food? We were 12 people and we are all very disappointed, we wount come to this restaurant again.

My first time trying jollof rice and fufu. It was amazing. The food were delicious. The spicy sauce was spicy!!! We LOVE IT! We even ordered extra spicy sauce. Not to forget the Kele wele (fried sweet plantain), it was fried and almost caramelised, so tasty! The waitress was nice and helpfull. As an Indonesian I think Indonesian people will love this type of food. We have similar taste. They also got different types of beer. I recommend the passion fruit beer, it really went well with the fish and the rice. In this place you can easily pay by card or by paypal. The location is only 1 min from Sbahn Friedrichsberg. Will definetely go back.

I visited the restaurant with several friends. The food there was delicious and authentically prepared. Since we ate there, we noticed how small the restaurant is. The 7 of us alone have already occupied almost 1/3 of the tables. The wait for the food to arrive was about 30 minutes, but it was worth the wait

Das Essen war leider kalt und hat nach Fisch geschmeckt und gerochen obwohl ich Rind bestellt habe. Leider musste ich alles wegwerfen da ich kein Fisch Essen darf aus gesundheitlichen Gründen. Meine einzige positive Bemerkung ist das Essen sah köstlich aus .

Netter Kellner. Habe Bestellung abgegeben nach 5 min war das Essen da komisch Reis Tamatensosse und Rindfleisch alles kalt. Habe den Kellner angesprochen er der Teller ist doch heiß. Habe den Teller zurück gehen lassen nach 2 Minuten kam das Essen wider. Jetzt war der Salat auch heiß. Kellner wieder angesprochen. Er bejahte das alles nur in der Mikrowelle gewaermt wird. Bei meiner Begleitung war auch alles nur aus der Mikrowelle. Die Küche befindet sich im Keller nicht so genau hinsehen. WC Ist nebenan. Frisch nein teuer ja. Nie wieder.

Wir haben dort den Geburtstag meines Freundes gefeiert. Der Chef hat mit mir das Essen geplant (Buffet). Das war richtig cool. Es war alles super vorbereitet und das Essen sehr lecker. Konnten den Raum mit Deko schmücken. :) danke euch für den schönen Abend, Papaye! (Rezension leider bisschen spät, die Feier war im November! Besser spät als nie!)

Wir waren heute vor Ort und es war super lecker! Auch die Auswahl an exotischen Getränken ist echt cool! Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung und wir werden wiederkommen :)

Mal was ganz anderes als Pizza und Pasta. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt! Bei den Gerichten mit Hühnchen muss man wissen, dass es sich um Hüherschenkel handelt. Seeeehr viel Reis als Beilage - kaum zu schaffen.

Das Lokal sieht nicht einladend aus. Die Wände sind schwarz gestrichen. Nicht so sauber. Das Essen war relativ schnell da. Ohne Liebe serviert. Zweites Mal gehe ich dorthin mit Sicherheit nicht.

Sah so schlecht aus das ich mich nicht getraut habe darein zugehen. Daneben ist ein toller Gricher

Ich gebe wohl gemeinte 4 Sterne, da ich früher immer zufrieden war und mir die schlechten Bewertungen bei lieferando leid tun. Jedoch habe ich mich bis jetzt nicht wieder getraut zu bestellen und hoffe, dass ihr euch wieder mehr Mühe gebt. Ich werde es bald wieder versuchen und hoffe nicht enttäuscht zu werden

I had the Jolloff Rice with a side of Fried Plantains, with an Afro Fanta, Pineapple Bier, and a side of Banku to share with my friends and I. Overall I enjoyed the whole meal! I went in looking for a nice vegetarian dish and the Jolloff Rice was fantastic with the plantains, which were also well cooked and tasted amazing! The restaurant itself is a bit small but the food was worth it!

War ein mehr oder weniger spontaner Besuch. Das Ambiente (innen) war schlicht, das Essen schmeckte uns vorzüglich.

Die Lieferantin war sehr freundlich. Die Portion „Fried Rice mit Rindfleisch“ ,für gute 13:00€, Ist echt klein. Davon wird eine erwachsene Person auf keinen Fall satt.

Das Essen ist zwar sehr lecker und offensichtlich authentisch afrikanisch, aber für den Preis erwarte ich wesentlich mehr Fleisch bei den Gerichten. Der Service ist stark verbesserungsfähig. Obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste vor Ort waren, musste ich nach einiger Zeit darum bitten, endlich bestellen zu dürfen. Das Ambiente ist sehr schlicht, nicht besonders gemütlich und ziemlich renovierungsbedürftig. Wenn man das Restaurant ausprobieren möchte, empfehle ich eine außer-Haus-Bestellung.

Wir waren schon zweimal vor Ort essen und da hat es uns ganz gut gefallen, auch wenn die Lage und das Ambiente nicht wirklich ansprechend sind. Das Essen war lecker, aber ich denke in Hamburg gibt es bessere Anlaufstellen für gute afrikanische Küche. Dann haben wir bestellt, da wars dann nicht mehr so lecker 😅 Wer Authentizität und Qualität erwartet ist hier nicht ganz richtig…

Tasty food. Although it took a bit longer than expected (we were eating in the restaurant itself, no delivery), it was worth the wait. We had Banku with Fish and Akwaaye and we enjoyed it all! Place could do with a bit more decoration/atmosphere, but at the end of the day its the food that matters. Would definitely recommend!

Allgemein war das Essen (Couscous und Tiegkloß) ein bisschen sauer. Ich glaube das war typisch. Der Preis war angenehm. Kartenbezahlung ab 10€.

Ich habe dort „Banku“ mit okrasauce & Rind bestellt. Leider schmeckte die Soße nicht so wie erwartet. Da ich selbst Afrikaner bin, habe ich diverse Okrasoßen probiert. Diese hat mir leider nicht gefallen. Also für mich war die Soße 3/10. Das personal war aber sehr freundlich. Meine Freundin hatte „Awakye“ mit Hähnchen, dies schmeckte jedoch sehr lecker und ist zu empfehlen.
