A cool idea as a converted car dealership, it's beautifully light-filled. It's quite large and some aisles are a bit narrow, but the seating is still very well-designed. The buffet selection is extensive, especially the grill buffet, which is very diverse, and there's no shortage of desserts either. Highly recommended.

I wanted to try the restaurant out, so I checked the website beforehand, as I always do. They charge €2 more if you don't buy a drink, is that even possible? €5 for wasted food—a very vague term. Who's going to judge that? So, a visit is out of the question. I've never read reviews of a restaurant that are so negative about the food and staff. What I read in one review: Children and foreigners aren't welcome! So the owner is German?

My 1-year-old daughter was charged €1.60 for admission... She didn't eat anything from the buffet. That's pretty cheeky!

Cafeteria atmosphere, with an Asian touch. The order was sent lightning fast, we weren't even properly seated yet. Oops, two AYCE, a child with them, two à la carte. We had at least half an hour to choose from the menu, but no one came. Luckily, we were able to intercept a server who was rushing by. After another 30 minutes, we were served. It was a similar story with the second drink order. I had No. 62, Achtschätze (Eight Treasures). The vegetables were almost too fresh. The chicken and pork were indistinguishable, and the caustic soda bath didn't help with the beef; you had to imagine the sauce. In over 50 years, this is the first "Chinese" restaurant I definitely won't visit again.

Of course, I can recommend this place! The food was delicious, the service was fast and professional, and the atmosphere was perfect. Only the path/entrance to Pandaking was poorly signposted. However, we found the entrance on our third lap around the square :). We'll definitely be visiting Pandaking on our next visit to Bielefeld!

We were there for the lunch buffet today and were thrilled. Everything was incredibly delicious. For the price, including the live grill, I can only say it was excellent value for money. What I definitely want to share is a comment on a negative review. This review claims that it's not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. I read this review while we were there and asked the manager directly. He confirmed that we could eat as much as we wanted for 2.5 hours. I then showed him the review, which was only two weeks old. He remembered this incident well. It involved guests filling their plates to overflowing and, instead of finishing it, returning half-full plates to get more food. I find this behavior truly outrageous, and I think it's right that a €5 surcharge per person is charged for this kind of behavior. This is also clearly stated everywhere at the buffet. I assume it was a pure revenge review. The hosts are super friendly, and you get a lot for little money. Food waste really doesn't have to be a problem these days. Thank you again, we'll be happy to come back!

Last night, we went to Panda King for a buffet dinner with three people. We called about two hours in advance, and to our delight, getting a table was no problem. There was a large selection of dishes, and the food was constantly being refilled. The staff was also friendly and attentive. We definitely went home full and satisfied that evening.

We ate at the buffet, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't to our liking. There are much better all-you-can-eat Asian restaurants out there.

Simply outrageous Children and babies not welcome. I was there today with my cousins ​​and our babies. Our little ones were repeatedly shown the finger and told to be quiet! At first, I thought it was a joke until I realized they were serious. They're both 1 year old :) Every two minutes, a member of staff came by and gave me a dirty look. We're disturbing the guests? Um, sorry, we're guests too. We couldn't even finish our food, had to pay normally, and were told to leave. When I told the manager what I thought about it on my way out, I was told to come and show them the Tik Tok bird, be insulted, leave, and be banned from the premises. I was there today for the first and last time. I witnessed a situation where an entire table was asked to leave because their babies were too loud. The manager's reaction was arrogant and unfriendly! We, four people and one child, didn't find the babies a bother. The sushi wasn't fresh and the rice was dry. The staff was untrained and didn't know what they were serving. When asked whether MSG was used, there was no answer. All in all, not a pleasant or tasty experience. We won't be back.

We visited this restaurant with the expectation that it was an "all-you-can-eat" concept—as was apparent at first glance. You pay a set price and assume you can help yourself to whatever you like from the buffet. However, this assumption was dashed during our visit. After we tried to take a certain item from the buffet a second time, a waiter informed us that this was not permitted—supposedly, there was a small sign at the buffet to this effect. However, this was not communicated to us either upon entering the restaurant or when ordering at our table. When we asked the manager about the lack of transparency, he simply pointed out that it was not an "all-you-can-eat" offer, but a "buffet" concept. However, he was unable to explain to us in a comprehensible way what the exact difference between these two terms was. Instead of a factual discussion, we were fobbed off with evasive statements and attempts at explanation that seemed more like excuses. Our impression: The concept seems misleading and, in practice, doesn't correspond to what guests would understand by a buffet or even an "all-you-can-eat" offering. Important note for future guests: There are restrictions on what and how often you can eat – this should definitely be clarified beforehand to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Very good Asian restaurant, has a lot of SELECTION of delicious starters, main courses and desserts that are very tasty and juicy!! And it's nice what you can choose and add to it yourself, e.g. sauces.

Hello, just visited Pandaking. At first, we had a pleasant arrival, but once we were seated and another employee took care of us, the service was really poor, with insufficient communication and quick service; it didn't feel welcoming. The food was rather bland, and the flavor came from bad sauces. The worst of all: My elderly father is supposed to pay a €2 fee if he doesn't order a drink with the buffet (which has to be ordered by table). Never again.

I'm actually always very enthusiastic about Panda King and always love eating there. Last time, it was incredibly crowded. Luckily, we had a table reservation. But what I found particularly disappointing was that the otherwise excellent selection of dishes and food wasn't available. Not because it wasn't offered, but because 70% of the warming containers were empty. The chefs couldn't keep up with filling them, and when they did, the crowd was already standing there emptying the newly refilled containers, and then you were standing there again with an empty plate... Of course, the service couldn't keep up with either the drinks or the dirty dishes. Yes, of course, I'll try again because I've always been very satisfied with Panda King... Hence the 4-star rating; for that particular day, 2 would be more than enough!

The sushi had no taste, and the food was generally very bland. On top of that, you have to pay €2 more if you don't order a drink (of course, they'll bring you large glasses if you don't explicitly say you want a regular glass). The staff repeatedly comes to your table and intrusively asks if you want a drink, even though you've already declined several times. And the whole atmosphere is very hectic, resembling a train station concourse.

We were passing through and wanted a bite to eat; the reviews promised good things. The welcome was nice and friendly, we were able to order à la carte, but then it wasn't possible because the kitchen was overcrowded. After announcing we'd be back, we were able to go. The portions were much too large, and the quality was just average, typical of a Chinese food temple.

A huge selection of food, greens, salads, fruits, ice cream. I took off 1 star only because when we chose fish, frog, etc., which needed to be cooked by a restaurant employee, we went up to him and he was very unfriendly. Holding some kind of stick in his hands, he silently showed us where we needed to put the plate, like a pointer. We came for the first time and didn't know where to put the plate, and he looked at us with such a displeased look and pointed at us with this stick. In general, for someone this is not a minus, but for me it was really unpleasant. We will go there again soon, if there is the same attitude, then even despite the fact that everything there is very tasty, I will not go there)

CHINA BUFFET XL A relatively large restaurant, offering buffet and wok dishes. The ambiance is somewhat austere and at times hectic and noisy. The value for money is okay.

I've been there a few times now at lunchtime and also once or twice for the evening buffet. The large selection, the variety of dishes that you can have cooked yourself, the bedside tables, the salad bar, the fruits and the ice cream. I think there is something for everyone. I can't understand anyone who doesn't find anything there with this price-performance ratio and then has something to complain about. So far I've only had consistently good experiences. I will continue to recommend it and will continue to enjoy going there.

I don't give any stars for this restaurant. But I have to give it one star so I can post this. Totally unfriendly staff and were unable to provide a clean baby seat. One of the waiters brought a baby chair that was completely dirty with leftover food. When asked if it could be cleaned please. The waiter replied very unfriendly and stroppy. Babies and foreigners are not welcome in this restaurant. Foreigners are treated totally racist. The waiter was so unfriendly and didn't want to serve us. One waiter wanted to hit us. A customer kept him away from us. We are very grateful to one customer, the waiter doesn't work at all. Later we ate somewhere else. On the way back we saw that someone from the restaurant was being picked up by an ambulance with flashing lights. We were lucky. That's why I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone

Seems clean and inviting. Very spacious. Large selection at the buffet. Sanitary facilities also clean. I particularly liked the information that you pay a kind of fine of 5 euros if you don't eat everything you put on your plate. So that too many leftovers don't end up in the trash! I also found other information throughout the restaurant very good, because apparently there are enough people who leave the water running at the sink or let their kids run around and play in the restaurant. Good buffet selection and plenty of space... Very suitable for large groups, but I would prefer other locations for a romantic meal. The "separees" in the outer area created by high backrests are a good attempt, but they can't really cope with the noise and the unromantic atmosphere due to the high ceilings (former car dealership!) and very bright light. ...it was delicious, but to be honest my stomach didn't feel so good the next day...

Food is okay, there is plenty of choice and it is refilled quickly. It's clean as far as I could tell, although the toilet could use some TLC. The service was very friendly and you were constantly asked for drinks. What I didn't like was that you had to stand in line for the hot buffet. It somehow seemed totally inefficient to walk past every dish and then finally get to where you wanted to go. That takes everything out, especially with children, standing in line for 30 minutes (Saturday, 5:30 p.m.) is simply too long. I was happy that I could just go for sushi. Overall, the restaurant seems very large in relation to the area where the food is served. The raw area is basically 50%, the warm area is 20% and another 30% cake/dessert and fruit (ice cream) There will be reasons why it is divided up like that, but for me it made the visit unnecessarily longer than necessary. Maybe rethink and shorten the snake structure. More full people, more money ☺️👍🏻

I am impressed. We were in the restaurant for the lunch buffet and were greeted at the table with a handshake 👏. The buffet was really extremely rich. The freshly prepared food was really hot, which I have never experienced at any other buffet before. Apart from that, the food was really delicious. There was also an incredible selection of sushi and it was also very, very tasty. There was even a very large selection of desserts. We will definitely go there again to eat. This buffet beat everything we have experienced so far.

The most important thing in advance: A very good Chinese with a very tasty buffet, where the price-performance ratio is right! There are enough parking spaces nearby. Although the restaurant seems huge, the harmonious and comfortable seating means you don't have the feeling of sitting in a hall. In addition to the extensive number of "ready-made meals", you also have the option of choosing raw ingredients and having them freshly prepared. Even at full capacity, the operators have their shop under control and it is very rare that a dish is not available at short notice... and if it is, there are definitely very tasty alternatives for the next bowls.

A few days ago, on the recommendation of friends, I went to Panda King for the first time. And I was thrilled. The restaurant is easy to reach by car or by public transport. There is plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant, which is located in a former car dealership and is therefore beautifully flooded with light. Glass fronts all around round off the beautiful atmosphere in the interior. I was in the restaurant at lunchtime, which is open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Right at the entrance I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who then showed me my table. I had previously made a reservation online and received a confirmation immediately. The employees there are all very helpful and really nice. I like to look at the toilets right from the start. You can often tell from this how cleanly a place like this is run. And the toilets are actually so clean that you could almost eat there. This time too I wasn't mistaken. My table was very well looked after and an employee asked me very quickly what I wanted. I just wanted a little something to eat and this time I decided against the very rich buffet. I ordered fried noodles with duck. The waiting time was short and the food was absolutely delicious. The price/performance ratio is top. Of course I also looked at the buffet, which as I said was very rich. If you've ever been to an "all you can eat" Chinese restaurant, you probably know how everything works there. Delicious starters, mains and desserts. What struck me was the absolute cleanliness here too. I also think it's good that the staff makes sure that the guests (and their children) don't fill their plates to overflowing, but instead go twice. It should be noted that no waste of food will be tolerated. I find that excellent. We all know pictures from vacation where certain people can't behave in this regard. I don't want to see something like that when I visit a restaurant. Of course, something can accidentally fall down, but it should be common practice. It's not just the waste, it also shows a certain appreciation for the hard-working employees. Pandaking is the King........ . Everything is just right here...We were there on a Saturday evening, of course we had a reservation and got a nice spot by the window. The restaurant was well attended. Guests can expect a huge selection of fresh seafood such as small lobsters, scallops, shrimps, various types of squid, salmon, redfish, etc...The meat buffet is also almost limitless...From lamb, beef, kangaroo, chicken, frog legs and other specialties to a large fresh salad buffet that leaves almost nothing to be desired. A large selection of home-made sushi is available in the deli counter. Fresh fruit, pudding and various cakes make even the most spoiled connoisseur's heart beat faster. The service was quick, the background noise was kept to a minimum and there was a fortune cookie waiting for every guest at the exit. We enjoyed it very much, especially the ready-made dishes, such as crispy duck, eight delicacies, beef with onions, were well seasoned, nice and hot and were always refilled......Always happy....... repeat offender....... Went there around 12 o'clock for a cheap lunch and, just like in the evening, we didn't regret it. The selection of food is huge, even at lunchtime, and everything is fresh and clean. We took various meat and fish dishes from the already prepared hot dishes, tried the fresh salad buffet and finally treated ourselves to various types of ice cream with pieces of fruit (see photos). The bowls with the various dishes were constantly refilled and there were even two warming bowls of the coveted crispy duck, so there was never a shortage of supplies. Of course there were also pre-heated plates and enough bowls for the large selection of dishes. Whether fresh meat, fish, sushi, salad or cake buffet, there was plenty of everything and it tasted excellent. Young guests in particular made use of the two chocolate fountains with light and dark chocolate. You can recommend Pandaking with a clear conscience, but it will be more difficult to get a free table in the future. Word gets around about good performance...

We were here for the last time today, the food was good, but unfortunately no one here knows how to properly pour a beer. I complained about a beer because it gave the impression of a stale beer. When I brought the beer back, I saw why, the lady at the counter filled the glasses again from other glasses, didn't draw completely from the tap, lack of carbon dioxide guaranteed! ( fresh ?) That was also what was on the invoice Beer complained and the restaurant manager was called in. He told me that this is how beer is always done 😭, so it was deliberately defective and saved time at the expense of quality. I was also given the recommendation to stop drinking beer here...that seems to be the new unfriendly way of not dealing with complaints!! We are happy to take this recommendation into account, but also when eating.

Unfortunately, my visit was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I was looking forward to a varied buffet, but after the first few bites it was clear that the quality wasn't right here. The selection was large, but what's the point if the food isn't fresh, cold or tasteless? Many dishes looked as if they had been there for a long time. The fried foods were either soggy or way too hard. Even classics like fried noodles or crispy chicken were disappointing - dry, bland and of questionable consistency. The live cooking, which was supposed to be a highlight, was a complete disaster. The meat was dry, tough and partially burnt, as was the seafood. It seemed as if everything was simply fried carelessly and quickly without paying attention to taste or doneness After the first few bites I noticed that I wasn't enjoying the food. I became increasingly unwell and couldn't bring myself to eat any more. This happens extremely rarely to me, but here I had the feeling that something was wrong with the quality or hygiene. I then didn't touch the buffet any further - an absolute warning signal for me. The restaurant was loud, hectic and crowded. The staff were quick to clear up, but seemed stressed and not very friendly. Everything felt like a mass procession, not like a pleasant visit to a restaurant. For what is on offer here, the price is a disgrace. I really can't explain where all the positive reviews come from. Maybe I was just unlucky - or other guests have lower expectations. But for me the food was so bad that I couldn't even eat it. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not visit again. Once and never again!

It was better, too crowded today

Pandaking is simply unbeatable! Everything really fits here. Our visit was on a Saturday evening and thanks to prior reservations we got a cozy seat by the window. The restaurant was full, but the atmosphere remained pleasant. The buffet left nothing to be desired. The selection of fresh seafood was particularly impressive: small lobsters, scallops, shrimp, various types of squid, salmon and red snapper - all fresh and plentiful. Meat lovers also got their money's worth. Whether lamb, beef, kangaroo, chicken or even frog legs – the variety was enormous. There was also a generous salad buffet with numerous fresh ingredients. Another highlight was the sushi counter, which featured a large selection of homemade delicacies. At the end, the guests were treated to a tempting selection of desserts with fresh fruit, pudding and various cakes - a paradise for everyone who loves sweets. The service was quick and attentive, and the volume in the room was pleasant. A nice detail: every guest received a fortune cookie when they left. In terms of taste, we were particularly impressed by the ready-made dishes such as the crispy duck, the “eight delicacies” or the beef with onions. Everything was perfectly seasoned, nice and hot and was regularly refilled. Conclusion: An all-round successful evening – we will definitely be back!

We have known the Panda King for years. The quality and selection has significantly decreased. Somehow the taste is missing. We won't go there anymore. Too bad.

Food is not my thing, but the ambience is good

The food is ok, but other Asian restaurants can do better. Service friendly and on the ball. Unfortunately the ambience is not my thing. Is a former car dealership. Very large and when there is a lot going on, you have the volume and ambience of a large cafeteria.

I liked it very much. The presentation and furnishings are great...very nice...I liked it. I like it, eating there with the family is a joy. Gladly again at any time.

We wanted to have a nice day and chat in peace, but the waiter with glasses treated us very rudely. Not only was he disinterested, he ended up kicking us out. Such treatment is absolutely unacceptable and ruined our entire impression of the restaurant. We have never felt so disrespected before.

Very unfriendly, especially one of the service staff, we sat for 2 hours just wanted to chat and have a drink and were simply thrown out because there were still more than 20 tables free and they were completely stressed
