PANDAKING in Bielefeld

We were here for the last time today, the food was good, but unfortunately no one here knows how to properly pour a beer. I complained about a beer because it gave the impression of a stale beer. When I brought the beer back, I saw why, the lady at the counter filled the glasses again from other glasses, didn't draw completely from the tap, lack of carbon dioxide guaranteed! ( fresh ?) That was also what was on the invoice Beer complained and the restaurant manager was called in. He told me that this is how beer is always done 😭, so it was deliberately defective and saved time at the expense of quality. I was also given the recommendation to stop drinking beer here...that seems to be the new unfriendly way of not dealing with complaints!! We are happy to take this recommendation into account, but also when eating.

Unfortunately, my visit was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I was looking forward to a varied buffet, but after the first few bites it was clear that the quality wasn't right here. The selection was large, but what's the point if the food isn't fresh, cold or tasteless? Many dishes looked as if they had been there for a long time. The fried foods were either soggy or way too hard. Even classics like fried noodles or crispy chicken were disappointing - dry, bland and of questionable consistency. The live cooking, which was supposed to be a highlight, was a complete disaster. The meat was dry, tough and partially burnt, as was the seafood. It seemed as if everything was simply fried carelessly and quickly without paying attention to taste or doneness After the first few bites I noticed that I wasn't enjoying the food. I became increasingly unwell and couldn't bring myself to eat any more. This happens extremely rarely to me, but here I had the feeling that something was wrong with the quality or hygiene. I then didn't touch the buffet any further - an absolute warning signal for me. The restaurant was loud, hectic and crowded. The staff were quick to clear up, but seemed stressed and not very friendly. Everything felt like a mass procession, not like a pleasant visit to a restaurant. For what is on offer here, the price is a disgrace. I really can't explain where all the positive reviews come from. Maybe I was just unlucky - or other guests have lower expectations. But for me the food was so bad that I couldn't even eat it. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not visit again. Once and never again!

Pandaking is simply unbeatable! Everything really fits here. Our visit was on a Saturday evening and thanks to prior reservations we got a cozy seat by the window. The restaurant was full, but the atmosphere remained pleasant. The buffet left nothing to be desired. The selection of fresh seafood was particularly impressive: small lobsters, scallops, shrimp, various types of squid, salmon and red snapper - all fresh and plentiful. Meat lovers also got their money's worth. Whether lamb, beef, kangaroo, chicken or even frog legs – the variety was enormous. There was also a generous salad buffet with numerous fresh ingredients. Another highlight was the sushi counter, which featured a large selection of homemade delicacies. At the end, the guests were treated to a tempting selection of desserts with fresh fruit, pudding and various cakes - a paradise for everyone who loves sweets. The service was quick and attentive, and the volume in the room was pleasant. A nice detail: every guest received a fortune cookie when they left. In terms of taste, we were particularly impressed by the ready-made dishes such as the crispy duck, the “eight delicacies” or the beef with onions. Everything was perfectly seasoned, nice and hot and was regularly refilled. Conclusion: An all-round successful evening – we will definitely be back!

The food is ok, but other Asian restaurants can do better. Service friendly and on the ball. Unfortunately the ambience is not my thing. Is a former car dealership. Very large and when there is a lot going on, you have the volume and ambience of a large cafeteria.

I liked it very much. The presentation and furnishings are great...very nice...I liked it. I like it, eating there with the family is a joy. Gladly again at any time.

Very unfriendly, especially one of the service staff, we sat for 2 hours just wanted to chat and have a drink and were simply thrown out because there were still more than 20 tables free and they were completely stressed

We wanted to have a nice day and chat in peace, but the waiter with glasses treated us very rudely. Not only was he disinterested, he ended up kicking us out. Such treatment is absolutely unacceptable and ruined our entire impression of the restaurant. We have never felt so disrespected before.

The soup was very thick like jelly. The finished dishes are good. Live cooking also OK. Desserts: Chocolate fountain a disaster! Very thin felt like it was diluted with water.

Food was ok, there was a lack of variety with the sushi. Kid friendly as they have a gift for the LO when you leave, a nice touch to the experience.

Hello, as excited as I was when I visited Panda King for the first time, it was just as terrible between the years 2024. The first time everything was really great. It wasn't that busy either and the food prepared there on the Mongolian grill tasted excellent. The day before yesterday, December 29th, 2024, there was great chaos. My wife's food came 20 minutes later as mine, even though we gave it away at the same time. On top of that, it was oozing fat and essentially inedible. The cook also found it visibly difficult to separate the ingredients that had been put together because there were some in the food that we had not chosen. I have experienced such a terrible cook before, in the Kaisergarten in Gütersloh. It was so disgusting that I never wanted to go there again and that's the same here. It's better to throw out this fat and oil wasteer, he's an inedible mess that he's stirring up. It should have been put in the organic waste bin and not in our stomachs. This chef, whom I have apparently already experienced in various Chinese restaurants, has clearly missed his job. He should rather work in construction. That's probably bad enough. As I said, on my first visit at the beginning of November it wasn't like that at all, there it was in order. Anyway, we pay here in euros and Service then looks different. It's a waste of my money to try it again. When the store is full, the ambience is loud and flashy. Service was good overall the first time and the second time considering the volumes of people eating there. The food deserved minus five stars. As another user already described the water in the men's toilet turns on the floor. This is probably how hygiene looks in China. That's actually a case for the health department. Relatively large restaurant, buffet meals and wok dishes. A somewhat sober atmosphere and sometimes restless and loud. Price-performance is okay.

Went here with a larger group before Christmas. All buffet. Employees are all top. We postponed the end of the day a little 🙄, but everyone remained very friendly. Choice of food is very large and of good quality. I haven't heard any complaints. Drinks subjectively a bit expensive. Buffet price a bit high at first. If you consider that you pay for a starter, main course and dessert, the price is okay. Very large location. With appropriate background noise. All in all recommended.

Went for lunch at lunchtime. The selection was large. It was very tasty and the service was very friendly. I can only recommend it.

We have NEVER eaten such xxxxxx "all you can eat" food! Frog legs xxxxxx, zebra mhh! All ready meals were only lukewarm and tough! The fried duck and chicken meat was already very dry in many places from being kept for so long! The sauces for the meat dishes - or/also for the rice: All the sauces had already formed a thick skin, very unappetizing. When you prepare your own food for roasting vegetables and meat, you don't pay attention to the cooking times in the latter category and the sauces for it were not clearly assigned. There was a lot of mess around it, unsightly. Duck was well done and lamb skewers were tough! No seedless grapes at the chocolate fountain and the other types of fruit didn't really seem fresh anymore. You had to look for the fried banana in the dough coating! After 3 very moderate rounds, the food was ready for us,......dessert was there! QUANTITY over QUALITY Never again!

Service and ambience are average and therefore okay. Most of the food was cold and the containers were barely warmed up. As far as the taste is concerned, nothing special, but the meat is terrible... the meat is not cooked through and the sauces trump the taste, the sauces would at least taste good. The buffet is far too small in relation to the seating, which is why it is quite annoying and stressful for its price To get full in peace. The noise is very unpleasant and you can hardly have a conversation without screaming. For me it was definitely not worth the price but based on the rating you can see that only people who have a normal person come here A plate of kebab or a Jägerschnitzel is not enough or doesn't fill you up. This store is definitely not suitable for upscale people for whom taste and well-being are top priority!

Today we spontaneously went to Pandaking because we had a workshop appointment nearby. We were initially greeted and welcomed in a very friendly manner. You also felt very welcome. We had a nice place where we sat quietly. The service was always attentive and courteous. The selection of dishes was incredibly large. Everything was very tasty and aromatic. We were surprised that at 15.90 euros even teppanyaki dishes were included. Top! The dishes that you could put together yourself and have grilled were also delicious. Everything fresh and perfectly prepared. For dessert there were various cakes and tarts, sweets, fruit and chocolate fountains. All in all great and highly recommended. We'd love to come back. Unfortunately we live in Osnabrück and are not close by. Many thanks to the entire team for the great lunch 🙂

Wir waren heute spontan im Pandaking weil wir in der Nähe einen Werkstatttermin hatten. Wir wurden zunächst sehr freundlich begrüßt und willkommen geheißen. Man fühlte sich auch sehr willkommen. Wir hatten einen schönen Platz, wo man ruhig gesessen hat. Der Service war immer aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Auswahl an Gerichtenwar unglaublich groß. Alles war sehr lecker und aromatisch. Wir waren überrascht, dass bei 15,90 Euro sogar Teppanyaki-Gerichte inkludiert waren. Top! Die Gerichte zum selbst zusammenstellen und grillen zu lassen waren ebenfalls köstlich. Alles frisch und perfekt auf dem Punkt zubereitet. Zum Dessert gab es diverse Kuchen und Torten, sweets, Obst und Schokobrunnen. Alles in allem super und sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Leider wohnen wir in Osnabrück und sind nicht in der Nähe.. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für das tolle Lunch 🙂

Food is delicious. Selection is sufficient. Although you don't need much service for self-service, the staff was unfriendly when asked. I can only say good things about ambition or food. You should expect over 25 or even 30 per person.

Panda King is a good restaurant in itself. The food is good and varied, the quantity is also good but I prefer small and cozy restaurants. In Panda King it's too loud, too uncomfortable and too much for me.

Friday evening. Very crowded. Standing in line at the buffet. Long wait for homemade raw food to fry. A little tight with baby. No play facilities for children. Toilets weren't very clean. The taste was very greasy, all in all we weren't that happy. Salad bar has little selection, a bit too standard, little topping. Unfortunately it was also extremely stuffy.

On the whole it's okay, there could be more choice at the buffet with ready-made dishes, as we know from other buffet restaurants that are more varied. However, the selection on the grill is even better! Unfortunately, the big drawback is that there are no noodles that you can put on the plate with your ingredients before frying. When we asked, we were told that you should get the noodles from the normal buffet afterwards, so we don't know that, it's not a real "grill plate" for us - the noodles should be "fried". An attempt by us to have the already finished noodles from the buffet grilled again was rejected.

It was very tasty, but it was very crowded and the queue at the buffet was correspondingly long. We waited 40 minutes for the fresh preparation. There was only one cook and despite his best efforts he couldn't process it any faster. The store is too big for me and that gives it a bit of a canteen atmosphere.

Please explain to me why it has so many stars?...people have become indifferent to everything, the main thing is that it's cheap? We were there for lunch. The store was dirty everywhere and it wasn't comfortable either. The sauce bowls were not cleaned properly. The duck wasn't crispy, it was far too fatty and half raw, making it unpalatable and hard to chew. The selection is poor. The flies were flying at the salad bar, the lichys tasted bad (they come from a can, how do you manage that?) and the sushi was horrible too. The salmon stank. And there were rat traps set up outside the restaurant. That says a lot.never again.

Overall good. Nothing can be said for the price. It is versatile and has many species of animals to dine on. The only disadvantage is that the taste is less intense in places, which is probably down because of the mass. But that's okay. You just shouldn't expect so much, then everything will be fine. You should reserve in advance as it is very crowded.

So we were surprised by the ambience. Cool, a Chinese restaurant in a former car dealership, you have to figure it out first. There were three of us and we ate from the buffet. It was very rich and had everything your heart could desire. When everything ran out, it was refilled immediately. When you don't speak the language and you're a tourist it's clearly a restaurant to avoid, all the waiters are unpleasant and the food is clearly horrible frozen food.

The store is a disaster!! I just had dinner there with my son and was extremely disappointed because of them The quality has deteriorated extremely and is now underground, we ordered fried noodles with vegetables, chicken and egg, you could look for the meat like an egg with a magnifying glass!! We also got a stale, almost non-carbonated cola and after I paid 30 euros for such miserable food and my dissatisfaction I was treated with almost hostility by one of the employees!! The staff seems overwhelmed with the mass processing of customers and the water in the toilets is on the floor, so I almost slipped!! Some of the sinks and taps are broken, I can't recommend this store to anyone✍🏻

Very large and delicious selection of Asian dishes and super friendly service

Very well seasoned food. A huge selection of main courses, fruit, desserts and ice cream. Interesting restaurant decor, we liked everything.

What you can get out of a former car dealership... In detail: The ambience is okay, but very large and therefore quite loud (even if it is not quite as crowded as yesterday, Sunday lunchtime). Round benches are also stylish, but with normal tables with straight sides you sit quite far away in the middle, but it gets tight at the edge. Round tables with exactly the same curve as the benches were apparently too expensive, which was a shame. The service was very friendly without being intrusive. The only thing that should have been done more often was clearing away the used dishes. Now the most important thing, that food. The fries were really good, also seasoned well. Apparently necessary for children, even for Asians... The sushi was visually great, many different types. But all of them were very tasteless, actually not edible without soy sauce or wasabi (even in sauce form?). The usual Peking soup, however, was delicious. The rest of the finished buffet food was okay, but by far the worst compared to all the other Asian buffets in Bielefeld or Oerlinghausen. Both on the quality of the raw materials used and on the quality of the preparation. Fried noodles were in sauce (and only briefly in a pan, if at all), there was no fried rice and the cooked rice was completely tasteless. The option of having something freshly prepared, which you hand over to the cook in a raw state on a plate and then served on a marked plate, is a good idea. But then there should also be a good quality of food to choose from. I was also surprised by the preparation. On the one hand, a sauce was added to the curry chicken (so unfortunately it no longer tastes like curry) and the sauce was not used for raw beef, so it only tasted like the sole of a shoe. Finally, I also got vegetables that I hadn't chosen on my plate. There was no rice or Asian noodles, so we went to the buffet with the warm food and got rice. But then the food was no longer really hot, so we looked for the problem in the system. Finally, you are not allowed to leave food that doesn't taste good on your plate; there will be an additional charge of at least €5 for uneaten plates. A good idea against waste, but then the food should also taste good. Conclusion: We definitely won't come here anymore, for our taste it's by far the worst Asian restaurant in Bielefeld and the surrounding area.

The food is mediocre, there are no specials or anything, the drinks are really expensive and they do everything to fill you up. Even the fries come with soda to fill you up, and the standard water is carbonated. Medium restaurant, I can't say more, but good service.

Although the restaurant seems huge, the harmonious and comfortable seating means you don't have the feeling of sitting in a hall. In addition to the extensive number of "ready-made meals", you also have the option of choosing raw ingredients and having them freshly prepared. Even at full capacity, the operators have their shop under control and it is very rare that a dish is not available at short notice... and if it is, there are definitely very tasty alternatives for the next bowls.
