We used to often go to Pancho Villa. Prices have really increased. Unfortunately quality has declined. Service was friendly and despite the restaurant being full it didn't take too long. Taco was over-seasoned, corn was completely overcooked. Unfortunately, the chips weren't enough for the appetizer we ordered and none were brought. You also have to pay for the plastic containers if you want to take leftover food with you.

The food is far from mexican (I would say mexican inspired), but the quality is fine. I ate tacos and they were in crispy shells (like tortilla chips from the store)😑, the meat was good though (spicy chicken and shredded beef). The atmosphere is amazing: cozy, windows decorated with lights and outside and inside were full of cool Halloween decorations🎃 Service was also really nice and polite-ish! Definitely would come again👌

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. The Halloween decorations were not attractive and not nice for the children. Often given the wrong food. Recently the bread from the burger was moldy, that's not possible.

We came on a Thursday evening in August without reservations. The place was pretty busy but we were seated. The waitress took the order and got us the drinks. After waiting 45 minutes, food was still not served, my friend asked for another beer, but the waitress forgot and we waited another 20 minutes. … The food still did not come but the waitress asked if everything was okay and how was the food…? We told her that we were still waiting on the food and even on the second beer as well… Then, at least the beer came quickly and was free. But it was obvious they forgot our food order. After another 15 minutes one of the waitresses brought two plates to our table. I asked her what this is and she could not tell me, neither in English nor in German. So the food sat in front of us on the table for a few minutes until another waitress came and explained what it was. We told her that we ordered something completely different, that’s when the head waitress shouted from the back of the restaurant that this food was for another table…… so they took it over to the right table… And so we had to wait again… Finally, after what felt like an eternity, our food came. My veggie chimichanga was without beans, which I asked for in addition and wanted when I placed my order and was assured that „they all come with beans“. Well, mine did not… It tasted okay, but was not very big and for € 15.40 too expensive in my opinion. To sum it up, the food was just okay, overpriced in my opinion and the service just terrible. All in all I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. It was much much better and cheaper in the past when it was called Pancho Villa. We will not come back…

When I made the reservation, I found the lady on the phone to be very friendly and so was the entire staff when we were there. We were served straight away and didn't have to wait long for the delicious food, even though a table next door with well over 10 people ordered at the same time. The atmosphere is nice and as I said, the food is very tasty (you can't get spicy anywhere, but that's just a matter of taste and it was still delicious). We would be happy to come back, we had a perfect evening.

Cozy Mexican restaurant that we have visited several times in the past - now under new management and with a new name. The food was consistently excellent, the portions were generous - the selection for the children was also very good. The menu offers basically everything that Tex-Mex cuisine has to offer, but authentic Mexican dishes are sparse (as in almost every "Mexican" restaurant in the area, which actually all predominantly serves the Tex-Mex food that is common in the USA offer). There is a play area for the children both inside and outside, and the service is friendly and attentive. Overall, unreserved recommendation, we always enjoy coming here!

We celebrated our wedding at Viva la Vida and were completely thrilled. All of our wishes were fulfilled and our expectations were exceeded! We ordered food a la carte, and everyone got their food almost at the same time. There was something for every taste and everything was delicious. We were immediately greeted with a margarita and the champagne reception also went really well. Simply top and recommended!

We were there on a Friday evening with 2 children under 3. There is a games corner both inside and outside; so great with children. We had a total of 3 different main courses and 2 starters. Everything was super delicious!

Ordered food for pickup, 2 fajita quesadillas and one chili con quesso as a starter and I got 40!!! Paid euros. Unfortunately no one can be reached by email, if you miscalculated it would be nice if someone would get back to you. Otherwise not recommended for value for money.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Mexican restaurant Viva la vida in Rammstein today and yesterday and were absolutely thrilled! During our short stay in this charming little town, we made sure to eat there on two consecutive days because the food was just so outstanding. The restaurant offers an impressive variety of dishes prepared with great attention to detail and real, fresh ingredients. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service and the cozy atmosphere, which round off the whole experience perfectly. We are looking forward to being in Rammstein again next year and will definitely stop by Viva la vida again. An absolute must for all Mexican cuisine lovers!

We've probably been there ten times when it was still called Pancho Villa. Unfortunately, the prices at viva la vida are now at least 20% more expensive. According to the menu, there is no longer free rice or beans with the a la carte portions. Unfortunately, the food took a very long time and we had to wait about an hour. The Mexican rice was no longer the same as in the previous restaurant and the chicken filling in the burritos was now a bit over-seasoned. All in all, the food was still tasty and the portions were sufficient. The new ambience is very nice and successful

We have always enjoyed staying at Pancho Villa. And we also felt very comfortable in Viva la Vida. The food was delicious and the menu was very clear. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would be happy to come back.

My husband and I recently had date night and decided to give Viv la Vida a try. The food was delicious!! It's not the Mexican food we would have liked it to be, but it still was delicious in its own right! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. We'll definitely be going back and bringing guests with us.

Our new favorite Mexican! We always drive about 40 minutes, but every visit is worth it. The food is always of impeccable quality, the ambience is exactly as you would imagine and the service is very attentive and polite. I can happily give my unreserved recommendation here!

Rats on the outside patio and the food wasn't good at all! Unfortunately we cannot confirm the positive reviews!!!! The food wasn't good at all. The grilled chicken breast came with a few chips and a small piece of corn on the cob, very very dry. I don't know what the cook did to the minced meat, but it was more than fried to death and had a strange, almost cinnamon-like spice that didn't taste good at all. The ground meat was used in the tacos and enchilada. Then we had a kind of mini chimichanga on the combined plate which was filled with shredded beef or pulled pork, the meat was horrible. The famous chicken wings were covered in a hotter sauce, you had the feeling you had a packet of paprika powder in your mouth. As if the powder didn't dissolve properly in the cold sauce. !!! But the biggest hit were the rats on the outside terrace, which we could see running around in broad daylight. They passed the window we were sitting at several times. Since it was a very large glass front you could see all the way to the floor. They also came from the side where the kitchen door is along the wall of the house. We immediately spoke to the waitress about it, but she wasn't particularly shocked about it. Sorry not only that the food was bad and also way too expensive for this quality, that doesn't work at all with the rats!!! That was the first and last visit to this restaurant.

The chicken breast fillet was charred on the bottom and the fried potatoes were half raw. There is still a lot of room for improvement.

This was our first time to Germany and the Ramstein little village here The food was extraordinary and little Miss Molly their pup that runs around the restaurant was so cute. She’s the mascot here. Marianna, the owner is so nice. We told her we were hoping to say goodbye, as we were going back to the states, she came to take pictures with us. Definitely a place to visit while you’re here and make sure you make reservations

It is a very quiet and familiar place and the atmosphere is very calming reminds you of a family Mexican restaurant, we were at the celebration of the Battle of Puebla. The waiters are very attentive and friendly, the service is quick and clean, the owner very friendly and charismatic as well as all of her employees. It has become my new restaurant, especially the flavors of the food reminded me of my home country.

You wouldn't expect to have good Mexican food in Germany. But this is the exception for sure! The food takes a while, but it's worth it. Definitely come by here if you're in town.

We've loved coming here for years, our "favorite Mexican". Staff friendly and good atmosphere. Recently renovated with a great Frida Kahlo wall design. Good selection and quality of food and drinks. Child-friendly and with a play area. Tip, make a reservation if you want to be sure of getting a spot, especially on the weekend. Definitely a recommendation

Nothing bad can be said about the food. When it came as ordered, it was delicious. But the service and order processing today was a disaster! We had a starter and 2 main courses and had to have the food returned 3 times. The starter was supposed to come without onions and came with onions. Instead of burritos, two dishes came with taccos. When the right thing finally came, the tomatoes we had ordered were there. You can make mistakes, no question. But the density (dishes were also returned to other tables) was really shocking. A little hint: If you write down orders, this kind of thing doesn't happen very often. Because of today's experience, we won't go there anymore.

Delicious food and drinks, very friendly service and a nice ambience. Can only be recommended. It's best to order in advance, it's always busy. Addendum, reservations are almost mandatory, there is always a lot going on. They're called different now, but they're pretty much the same. In my opinion the quality of the food has improved a bit. For me the best Mexican food in the area.

The food was ok, I had a burrito. I don't like the atmosphere that much. The light should be slightly dimmed. We sat at the small table right by the door, well we saw who came and who went. Too much through traffic. The waitress didn't have a smile on her face and didn't really check on us. Like everywhere else in the restaurants, the margarita tasted like pre-made margaritas!! I didn't notice any alcohol. The burrito was ooky. Something was missing inside. And as always, there wasn't enough sour cream or sour cream and I had to order more and was charged for it.

We were there with 7 people for a birthday. Saturdays 7:00 p.m. Restaurant was very busy. So reservation is necessary. Ambience and furnishings typical, and not too intrusive. Plenty of parking spaces. Food very good. We had chimichangas, burgers and schnitzel. Chimichanga fried crispy and not too dry. Unfortunately the obligatory piece of avocado was missing. Burger very large with plenty of fries. The schnitzel was also good. Margheritas fruity, but I've had better ones. But of course that is a matter of taste. They were too sweet for me. Alcohol content balanced. The speed of service was good for the workload. The staff was friendly and attentive and wished us a nice weekend as we left. Overall it was a great evening. The only thing that bothered me was that it was too crowded at the beginning. One of the smaller center tables was just too much. Waiters had to push past people. Next time we would come at a different time.

Richtig tolles, gemütliches Mexican Restaurant. Sehr geschmackvoll mexikanisch eingerichtet (u.a. viele Frida Kahlo Elemente). Essenstechnisch viel Auswahl, alles hochwertig und sehr lecker. Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Gehört ab sofort zu meinen "Lieblings-Mexikanern" in der Region. Sehr positiv überrascht.

I ordered to go and my order got lost so I had to wait over 1 hr for my order. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. When I got home, I realized that they basically made a chicken taco. The quesadilla did not have any cheese. Come on it in the name. Quesadilla means it needs to have cheese, queso en Español. The beef burrito was bland at best. The meal was below taco bell quality with 3 star restaurant prices. Save your hard earned Euros and go somewhere else. By the way, I am from Cuidad de Mexico ( Mexico city). Don't be fooled by my name.

The service was great, smiling and helpful staff. However, the food was not the gratltest. Tacos are not authentic Mexican street tacos but instead look and taste more like taco bell tacos. The wings with BBQ, the sauce was more like ketchup with curry or something. The beef enchilada was good. We did not enjoy the food overall. 😒. For us, is not going to be a next time. Sorry.

Wir waren ja schon öfters dort gewesen und immer zufrieden gewesen.... aber heute wars nicht der Börner.... Habe Gaucho Steak mit Pommes und Salat bestellt... Gaucho Steak habe ich auf Teller suchen müssen so klein war das Gaucho Steak Waren keine 250 gramm Gaucho Steak und nicht Medium... Pommes waren kalt und schmeckten gar nicht zu wenig auch noch... Salat war gut..... Bedienungen waren freundlich.... Sehr schlechte Luft in im Speisesaal roch nach Küche.... Waren etwas enttäuscht.... Ging schon besser....

Schönes Ambiente mit Außenbereich und extra Spielplatz für die Kleinen. Service und Freundlichkeit sind authentisch. Extrawünsche sind überhaupt kein Problem. Das Essen ist phantastisch. Sangria oder Cocktails ebenso. Wir gehen schon seit Jahren hier essen. Fazit:Das beste mexikanische Restaurant in ganz Kaiserslautern 👍

There is no way I’m in Germany at a Mexican Restaurant and just had the best steak I’ve had in my life. Wait, it’s true! The Chef’s favorite Rumpsteak was exquisitely tender with a creamy jalapeño sauce so good that I begged for the recipe. Our server, Monica, was also incredible and was the reason I selected the steak in the first place. I apologize, I ate it so fast and was so immersed in the incredible flavor that I forgot to take a photo. Please accept a photo of the menu item instead. This place is highly recommended!

In my opinion, Pancho Villa has the absolute best steak fajitas in the Kaiserslautern area. The steak is flavorful and juicy, the vegetables are cooked well, the tortillas are fresh, and the sides are sized appropriately. I usually get shorted something like sour cream at other places; at Pancho Villa, I had plenty. I also ordered a lemonade, which I think was made from fresh lemons and limes (it had some pulp floating in it). Needless to say, I was very impressed. I will be coming back again.

Best Mexican food I've had in germany

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Für den Iced tea gab es free refills, er war ungesüßt und man bekam Zucker und Süßstoff zum selbst reinmachen. Die Kellner waren aufmerksam mit dem nachschenken. Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich. Sehr schöne Einrichtung und Atmosphäre.

Einen angenehmen Abend mit leckerem Essen, wir kommen gerne wieder zu Ihnen ins Restaurant.

Super nettes personal essen super

Eigentlich waren wir immer sehr zufrieden, aber dieses Mal war es wirklich enttäuschend! Wir hatten Fajita quesadia Huhn und die Fajita Pfanne bestellt. Beide Gerichte waren in Öl ertränkt! Und sind uns überhaupt nicht bekommen! Schade

We waited almost an hour for the food. I ordered mix fajitas and I got only shrimp, 6 total shrimps and the rest was tone of unions and peppers, We used to come to this place a lot and was a lot better back then.

Ich war dort vor ein paar Wochen schon mal essen mit meiner Freundin. Wir waren wirklich sehr zufrieden das Essen war super auch die Bedienung. Als erstes wurden unsere Chips vergessen nach gut 20-30 Minuten fragten wir mal nach. Leider war es heute so dass das Essen wieder sehr lecker war ,jedoch waren die Cocktails irgendwie nicht so der Burner. Ich hatte einen Pina Colada Cocktail ohne Alk bestellt. Ich bekam eine slush puppy ähnlichen Cocktail. Der total sauer war und weder nach Ananas noch nach Kokos geschmeckt hat. Und ohne Alkohol und er wurde mir mit gebracht. Ich sagte das der Bedienung diese nahm ihn mit und ich bekam eigentlich den gleichen Cocktail noch einmal. (nicht neu gemacht) Beim dritten Anlauf war der immer noch nicht das was ich wollte . ich hatte dem Kellner nochmals gesagt dass ich gerne einen Pina Colada hätte. Ich bekam im Endeffekt einen ananassaft. Das Getränk hatte nicht annähernd was von einem Cocktail. Mein Mann trank den Saft aus was blieb war dreiviertel volles Glas mit Eiswürfel. Bei meinem Mann war das Bier abgestanden. Schmeckte "alt" Die Weiblichen Bedingungen sag ich mal so waren sehr freundlich auch bis zum Schluss hin. Die mit den dunklen Haaren war sehr sehr nett und herzlich gewesen 🫶🏼 Der junge blonde Mann war zu Anfang auch freundlich jedoch nach den Beschwerden nicht mehr. Er nahm auch nicht zur Kenntnis als er fragte ob der Cocktail so in Ordnung wäre dies verneinte ich. Darauf ging er nicht ein und ignorierte dies einfach. Auch mussten wir mehrfach nach unsere Rechnung fragen. Heute leider nicht so toll gewesen... Aber nochmals das Essen war sehr sehr lecker,sehr große Portionen. Super Preis Leistung.

Das Essen war gut. Schmeckt aber nicht andere als in anderen mexikanischen Restaurants. Service war freundlich aber sehr langsam. Das Ambiente ist voll in die Jahre gekommen. Stühle außen sind nicht sehr bequem.

Gutes Tex-Mex Restaurant. Der Service ist etwas zäh und sie haben auch mal Getränke gebracht, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Es hat sich schnell aufgeklärt, alle waren sehr freundlich. Die Guacamole ist wohl nicht selbst gemacht. Große Portionen also genügend Hunger mitbringen. Die Magaritas kamen gut an. Gute Auswahl an mexikanischen Bieren.

Heute nicht gut! Die kleine Kellnerin hat nichts hinbekommen, der Barkeeper musste helfen, (der Junge der sehr sehr freundlich ist) da wurde es wieder besser! Der Junge sollte vllt öfter als Kellner arbeiten, würde viel helfen!!

Wir sind mit 3 Personen ohne Reservierung gekommen und haben recht schnell einen Tisch bekommen. Der Tisch an den wir gesetzt wurden war nicht sauber gewischt, wurde dann aber auf Nachfrage von uns noch einmal sauber gewischt. Wir haben sehr schnell die Speisekarte bekommen und ca 45 min auf die Aufnahme der Bestellung gewartet. Das Essen kam dann ca 1 Stunde später bei uns an, allerdings ohne Besteck, dies wurde aber schnell nachgereicht. Die Burritos waren kalt und der Salat ohne Dressing, geschmacklich aber gut. Das Fenster und die Fensterbank waren sehr dreckig und mit Spinnenweben überzogen und wir bekamen beim Essen leider ungewollten Besuch von Fruchtfliegen.
