Surprisingly great restaurant! From the outside, I hadn't realized how beautiful it was inside, judging by the door.

An American in RLP. Just great all around. The stars speak for themselves.

The food, service, and atmosphere were very good, so there's nothing to complain about. However, we witnessed a male employee yelling at his female colleague in the worst possible way. The poor girl 😱 It's a shame, considering how great the restaurant is. 👎

5 stars A pleasant Mexican restaurant with a harmonious, authentic atmosphere – simple, but perfectly suited to the style of the place. The service was friendly and attentive, and they were very accommodating to my wife's allergies – a big plus. The quesadillas as an appetizer were decent, but could have been seasoned a bit more. However, the fajitas with steak as a main course were truly excellent: tender meat and very well seasoned. It would be nice if one or two extra flour tortillas were included at no extra charge. For dessert, we had churros with caramel sauce – delicious and fresh, although a bit too much cinnamon sugar for our taste; the cream wasn't really necessary. A big plus: a really good selection of Mexican beers and many tequilas, which isn't something you find everywhere. All in all: a successful experience with a few minor areas for improvement – ​​we'll gladly come back!

The atmosphere and decor are 100% Mexican, but that's all. No one is Mexican there, much less speaks Spanish. The food is good for the European palate, but unfortunately, not for a Latin American palate.

We were there yesterday for the third or fourth time. The food was absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff and the world's best churros I've ever eaten! We even got them on the house, since my husband had to eat alone and our food didn't arrive until he was finished. We'd be happy to come back. One small negative point in the front area are the yellow lamps above every table; I find them too low and very glaring. Overall, a very nice, cozy Mexican restaurant.

Coming from a Latina I’m happy with this place and the love they have for the food. A little of Latin America in Germany is always wonderful.

Typical wanna be Mexican restaurant in Germany. Quality is decent. But ingredients used for taste is just completely wrong. This food is just tex mex but I wouldn't even call it that. It's like German Mex if that's even a thing. Still better than the Quesadilla restaurant in K-town. They just need some help with how to make their food with certain ingredients. I wouldn't go above a 3 star on the food scale. They use a lot of the same meats in different dishes and it just tastes odd compared to authentic Mexican food. For the price i wouldn't go back. The queso dip is mid at best.

Finding good Mexican food (or perhaps I should say, Texmex) in Germany can be a challenge, but this place does a fairly decent job. We've always enjoyed the Fajitas in particular. For sure, the biggest area of improvement in my opinion, is the tortillas. I miss good, solid, in-house made tortillas. All this to say, it's a bit different from what Americans would overall expect, but it's still definitely an enjoyable place to eat. The staff have always been friendly and accomodating but what really has made this restaurant a staple for our family, has been how family-friendly this restaurant is. The outdoor play area and the toy area inside is a welcome distraction for our little ones. Always would recommend a stop in here.

I'd put this more on line with a tex mex so if that's your preference you'll love it. It was okay nothing special if you never had actual Mexican food id say it's passable but for the area it makes sense. The salsa was on par with grandmas tomato soup it made me want a grilled cheese. The margaritas for the price were large and tasty, but the other flavors were sub par. The burrito was okay and the taco salad was a taco salad. Would I go again easy answer is no.

We went out to eat as a family (6 people). The meal took so long that our drinks were already empty by the time the starter arrived. The main course was unfortunately a disaster. The salad had bones in it, which we didn't have to pay for in the end. The rump steak was missing sauce. My meal had refried beans instead of beans (sorry, but I still have teeth I'd like to use when I go out to eat), which isn't on the menu either. My son didn't want salsa sauce on his burrito, which he said when he ordered, but it came with sauce anyway. Then we got margaritas with alcohol even though we ordered without. The icing on the cake was a group of women who were apparently celebrating a birthday, but it was so loud that you couldn't really have a conversation, which annoyed all the other guests too, as many of them got up and left. We paid 227 euros including a tip, which was very expensive for all the mistakes in the food. The staff were great and very friendly, even after we had complained about everything, which is why I gave the tip. Unfortunately, we won't be coming again because all in all it wasn't a nice family meal. The waiting time refers to the table assignment, not the food. My son's burrito was freshly prepared again without sauce and given to us, which should also be mentioned again.

Accessibility, parking, ambiance, and service were all top-notch. The food was average. Some spices and jalapenos were missing. The price/performance ratio is great. A very busy, child- and pet-friendly restaurant. Thank you!! 😊

We were there for the first time today. An indescribable, comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully designed, with a great concept. Hygiene is top-notch, even in the restrooms. There are also more than enough parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. The food is super delicious, beautifully presented, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and courteous. You immediately feel at home. The beer garden is incredible; there's even a small area for the children to let off steam. We felt very comfortable, and it was a successful evening. Thank you.

Generally, there's only good news to report, but there was one point I personally didn't like. First, the positives: Very nice staff, courteous, and very friendly. A comfortable atmosphere, as you'd expect and expect. A wide selection of dishes and meals on the menu. There's truly something for everyone. The dishes are absolutely delicious! But... I understand that when the restaurant is busy, the kitchen is very busy. However, as a customer, it's not pleasant to have to wait an hour for the starter and another hour for the main course. You don't like seeing that on your first visit.

Tried this place on a whim and was filled with disappointment for the food quality and the management. The salsa was horribly sweet, the guacamole tasted as if it came out of a packet from a grocery store, and the tortilla chips clearly came from an old stale bag. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and received a quesadilla with chicken nugget sized slices of chicken stuffed inside that were lacking in flavor, with slimy cooked lettuce inside of the quesadilla and minimal cheese. They then plopped the sour cream and salsa on top of the quesadilla so it was already soggy on both sides when it arrived to the table. I took one bite and could not eat it. The waitress was kind enough to inform us that she was reaching out to the owner to request to remove it from our bill since I had one bite and did not like it, but was told by the owner to charge full price regardless. Incredibly disappointing. In addition to the creatively bad recipes, we found the place to be dirty and unnecessarily hot. They have multiple fans which are needed in 35° weather, none of which were turned on. They had a few doors open which allowed for flies to swarm throughout the inside of the establishment. The floors had food on them despite the restaurant being mostly empty. I’d recommend Taco Bell before I recommend this place.

Cute restaurant with all the Mexican decorations and vibes. They have a nice outside space to eat with a small area for kids. Great atmosphere overall and the staff was very kind. However, the food was definitely lacking. The dip trio looked great but we didn't eat it after tasting it. The guacamole seemed like straight avocado and lime, no onions, tomatoes, etc. The drinks were pretty but again, lacked flavor and didn't seem like much alcohol. The rest of our food was decent but I don't think I will return.

Based on the reviews, we were initially skeptical, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly. The plates were well-filled and the food tasted excellent, much better than I've experienced at other Mexican restaurants. After the appetizer, we went outside, where we were offered blankets—very thoughtful. We'll always come here from now on.

Very bland. I asked for the hot salsa after my quesadilla arrived and it was just tomato sauce with salsa Verde added. Definitely not authentic Mexican food.

I have enjoyed dinner at Viva la Vida a couple of times now. I must say, the food is delicious! The Churros were fantastic with sinfully delicious chocolate dipping sauce! That alone would be perfect, but the steak fajitas were also tasty! The service was fast and friendly. Great spot!

Marianne and the entire team are simply super warm, accommodating and totally likeable. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The food was incredibly tasty, fresh and prepared with a lot of love - really a pleasure! The location is also beautiful: a great terrace for sunny days and just as cozy and stylish inside. A very special highlight: Molly the dog, who greets you in a friendly manner and gives the whole thing that certain extra charm. I can absolutely recommend Viva La Vida and will definitely come back. My visit to Viva La Vida in Ramstein was simply fantastic! From the first moment I felt incredibly comfortable. The entire team, especially Marianne, was extremely friendly, attentive and really took care of every detail. You immediately notice how much love and dedication there is in everything. The food was a real taste experience! Fresh, perfectly flavored and prepared with a palpable passion. It was an absolute delight! The location itself is also a dream - the terrace is ideal for sunny days, and inside you can expect a cozy, stylish atmosphere that invites you to linger. A highlight was definitely Molly the dog, who gave the whole thing a bit more heart with her charming nature. I can only wholeheartedly recommend *Viva La Vida*. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I'm really looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for this lovely evening.

I ordered food to pick up. Making a phone call in advance only worked on the third attempt (first they didn't answer the phone, then hung up, then forwarded to a German-speaking employee). Even though I was there at the agreed time, the food was not ready. I had to wait 20 minutes. During that time I wasn't offered anything (like a seat or a drink). At some point the food arrived, which unfortunately wasn't too warm anymore. The price seemed obviously overpriced to me. For almost €45 I got: - large, lukewarm portion of Nachos Supreme (the portion size corresponded to the previous small one at Pancho Villas) - supposedly 0.6l Margherita, which was in a 0.5l cup and thawed - 0.5l normal salsa For the price and performance we will no longer visit this Mexican restaurant. There are others with better value for money nearby (like Mackenbach).

I've been traveling there for several years when it was still called Pancho Villa. I've eaten a few dishes there now and have been very satisfied every time. In my opinion it is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area

Too few staff, we were ignored, we basically had to serve ourselves, no service culture, food was delicious, we felt unwelcome, no questions, etc., we were there at 2 p.m. on a Sunday, so no rush hour, 1 service and 1 counter. The counter helped a bit (placing it, covering it) but was totally untrained and had no idea how catering works. Really a shame.

The food was really really good. The quesadilla was huge and the salad was good. I highly recommend the strawberry pina colada! It was really delicious! However, there was quite a mix up with receiving our drinks which was a mood killer as I kept trying to tell the waitress that she was giving another table our drinks but she either didn’t hear me or just ignored me. She was new so I gave her a pass. The atmosphere wasn’t my cup of tea but overall it’s not a bad spot to get a quick bite to eat. I’ve also never had queso dip with buffalo sauce so that was interesting and the place is a bit pricey.

I've eaten at the Viva la Vida restaurant twice now and have been impressed every time. On Halloween and Christmas, wonderful, harmonious decorations that enchant you as soon as you enter. Cocktails and food very good and a feast for the taste buds. Service was always very friendly and accommodating. Wasn't our last visit.

We used to often go to Pancho Villa. Prices have really increased. Unfortunately quality has declined. Service was friendly and despite the restaurant being full it didn't take too long. Taco was over-seasoned, corn was completely overcooked. Unfortunately, the chips weren't enough for the appetizer we ordered and none were brought. You also have to pay for the plastic containers if you want to take leftover food with you.

The food is far from mexican (I would say mexican inspired), but the quality is fine. I ate tacos and they were in crispy shells (like tortilla chips from the store)😑, the meat was good though (spicy chicken and shredded beef). The atmosphere is amazing: cozy, windows decorated with lights and outside and inside were full of cool Halloween decorations🎃 Service was also really nice and polite-ish! Definitely would come again👌

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. The Halloween decorations were not attractive and not nice for the children. Often given the wrong food. Recently the bread from the burger was moldy, that's not possible.

We came on a Thursday evening in August without reservations. The place was pretty busy but we were seated. The waitress took the order and got us the drinks. After waiting 45 minutes, food was still not served, my friend asked for another beer, but the waitress forgot and we waited another 20 minutes. … The food still did not come but the waitress asked if everything was okay and how was the food…? We told her that we were still waiting on the food and even on the second beer as well… Then, at least the beer came quickly and was free. But it was obvious they forgot our food order. After another 15 minutes one of the waitresses brought two plates to our table. I asked her what this is and she could not tell me, neither in English nor in German. So the food sat in front of us on the table for a few minutes until another waitress came and explained what it was. We told her that we ordered something completely different, that’s when the head waitress shouted from the back of the restaurant that this food was for another table…… so they took it over to the right table… And so we had to wait again… Finally, after what felt like an eternity, our food came. My veggie chimichanga was without beans, which I asked for in addition and wanted when I placed my order and was assured that „they all come with beans“. Well, mine did not… It tasted okay, but was not very big and for € 15.40 too expensive in my opinion. To sum it up, the food was just okay, overpriced in my opinion and the service just terrible. All in all I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. It was much much better and cheaper in the past when it was called Pancho Villa. We will not come back…

When I made the reservation, I found the lady on the phone to be very friendly and so was the entire staff when we were there. We were served straight away and didn't have to wait long for the delicious food, even though a table next door with well over 10 people ordered at the same time. The atmosphere is nice and as I said, the food is very tasty (you can't get spicy anywhere, but that's just a matter of taste and it was still delicious). We would be happy to come back, we had a perfect evening.

Cozy Mexican restaurant that we have visited several times in the past - now under new management and with a new name. The food was consistently excellent, the portions were generous - the selection for the children was also very good. The menu offers basically everything that Tex-Mex cuisine has to offer, but authentic Mexican dishes are sparse (as in almost every "Mexican" restaurant in the area, which actually all predominantly serves the Tex-Mex food that is common in the USA offer). There is a play area for the children both inside and outside, and the service is friendly and attentive. Overall, unreserved recommendation, we always enjoy coming here!

We celebrated our wedding at Viva la Vida and were completely thrilled. All of our wishes were fulfilled and our expectations were exceeded! We ordered food a la carte, and everyone got their food almost at the same time. There was something for every taste and everything was delicious. We were immediately greeted with a margarita and the champagne reception also went really well. Simply top and recommended!

We were there on a Friday evening with 2 children under 3. There is a games corner both inside and outside; so great with children. We had a total of 3 different main courses and 2 starters. Everything was super delicious!
