Pamukkale Kebaphaus in Augsburg

It became really nice after the renovation. I don't understand what the two cash registers on opposite sides of the counter are supposed to do. This leads to uncertainty among guests and chaos. Food as usual very tasty. You hardly notice the extra meat (+1.50). And unfortunately there really isn't enough of it out of the box.

We came from Bursa, we heard a lot of reviews, it was really as good as we heard, the taste, presentation and attention were very good. If you come here, we definitely recommend it.

First of all: I've been in "the" shop (well rebuilt again) since the original owner (nice guy, by the way! I just hope it's still him, especially since other information about it can already be read above; that would be a real punch in the - hungry - stomach!!) started decades ago with a really small shed in the same place (just a few meters away). That probably says a lot. So over the last three or four years... yes, the price spiral here too inevitably and, above all, increased faster and faster; But if I think of a piece of dry pretzel at the "Wolf" for now almost a whopping EU, then the relationship is somehow still there (in my opinion). New to me - at least I noticed it as such - that you can now charge differently for turkey and veal. I decided on the turkey meat. However: From the looks of it, it no longer reminds me of what it was like BEFORE the new renovation..., rather to the disadvantage. I'll have to find out what exactly makes the difference the next two times, aka meals, ... because I still plan to go home from there so often (never eat in the restaurant - I don't feel like it, I'll have a kebab having to have the food pushed out on the left and right; I have a much better, more enjoyable option at home - but that is of course a purely personal process). In short: Something has changed now, certainly not to the advantage of indulgence, that much is clear. My bitter negative point: the meat weighed to the gram! So please NOT!! The answer to the fact that everyone gets the same amount handed over the counter is anything from ridiculous to nonsensical - SORRY!! Where did I end up here? Can I get a precisely weighed pork schnitzel at the restaurant around the corner... or the exactly the same size nut wedge at the "Knolli" bakery?? Not at all; For example, if one of them seems too small to me, I am free enough to point to a larger one and ask that it be handed to me. I mean, you not only should, but MUST with Pam. rely on the average hunger/appetite of the customer and therefore prefer to come up with “more” instead of “docking around” with gram meat. There's no joy whatsoever... in fact, there's no joy at all, especially in a Turkish restaurant (the claim as such is now definitely given) where originally the lovely presentation and, first and foremost, anything but poor presentation was once the case customer-friendly sense! Very worrying. But I would like to repeat that this is only my own impression, the first since I returned to work after the aforementioned renovation - ... ... for which the customer will hopefully not go deeper into it in just a few weeks quickly emptying, holey bag ('thanks' of course also to the unfortunate, green-spanned fairy tale book author named Bob for this; who has anything but his snow-white hands in it innocence)!! Conclusion: Food, i.e. kebab, currently lights up with 3 stars. Furthermore: "Hang in" exactly where it suits you best as a result of really sufficient food and a reasonable price structure... and simply avoid the rest (see also the operator of the former "Kuhsee" rest. , who finally-finally sought or had to seek refuge there). - - - - - - - Important addition at the very end: The sad fact that a deposit is obviously charged for a drink from a glass - and therefore within the restaurant - is in two words: WITHOUT WORDS - especially if one is missing Invoice (then, conversely, a deposit for plates and cutlery would also have to be collected)!!

The food was very very tasty! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and sweet. You have a large selection. The location is perfect and the restaurant is very cozy!! It is highly recommended to eat here. Bon appetit!!

Ambiance, food and service - everything was great

After the major renovation and change of ownership, a great place to eat again!! Super friendly staff, great atmosphere to sit in and finally nice toilets. Really stylish, actually! The prices are now better again: kebabs under 8 euros and kebab plates for under 15 euros. This was a huge portion with salad, chips and bread. And attractively presented on a beautiful plate. I hope everything stays that way and I'll definitely come back more often.

Very good kebab with a great mix of spices and top staff. You also have the choice between turkey, veal and several vegetarian options including haloumi. The restaurant was renovated in 2024 and invites you to eat on site even more.

I was the biggest fan of Pamukkale Kebap. There was nothing better in Augsburg. We often drove specifically from Königsbrunn to the city center. Unfortunately, they didn't stay true to themselves and changed their kebab for the worse, especially after the renovation. More and more savings are being made on meat and contents. I can't do anything with these new hot dog buns for €8.50. The kebab plate with fries for 14.50 has also shrunk in my opinion. For us now it's just a kebab like any other. Delicious, but an expensive snack that doesn't replace a full meal. I don't have to go down the mountain to do that. This is also available on Maxstrasse or around the corner from us. I hope that changes at some point and I'll definitely come back.

Doner kebab has shrunk... price has grown! You then only get a “salad kebab”. They shot themselves in the foot with the action. It used to be the best kebab in town. Too bad.

The Vegan Falafel Dürüm and the Vegan Falafel Doner are both ultra dry, no wonder if you just put a small dollop on top. More please! Otherwise it tastes okay but not outstanding. After the reopening: it simply became more expensive, but the feeling is that the food is neither better nor better. We don't go there anymore.

I've never had such a tasteless kebab, any kebab here in Berlin is much better. Meat tasted like water, never experienced anything like it. The sriracha bottles on the table say it all. Staff also unfriendly. But prices are pretty high.

Dear Pamukkale, if you did this consciously because you wanted to improve something, then you have done something wrong here. I'm not the only one with this opinion. Please please make the good old kebab again like it always was - call it kebab classic. Offer the new one - if anyone wants that - as a by-product, as a kebab 2025 or something like that. You've always been better than everyone else, but changing the product wasn't a good idea. And important for all readers: The new kebab tastes good, you can eat it, but anyone who knew the previous one knows what I'm talking about...

The conversion was a great success! The veggie kebab with halloumi is still great and the service is super friendly. Yummy, we'll be back. :)

Doner for 10€!!! Smallest kebab but most expensive price...since the kebab when I was there twice before was very small and I didn't get full, I ordered the kebab with extra meat. I was very surprised that it cost me €10 and even more so that there was no sign of extra meat. Taste, yes. Also very unfriendly. No hello, no goodbye. Never again.

It used to be one of the best kebabs, I always ate there with colleagues. Since the renovation they have now completely shot themselves in the foot. Salty meat, no sauce, throw in cheap salad and vegetables to make it look like something. The whole thing for a tasty €8.50. Also one of the most expensive kebabs in Augsburg and the surrounding area. I'd rather go to Momos or Masters of Kebap. I also get a kebab with emotions. It was nice with you, Pamukkale…

Doner kebab has become smaller and overpriced

Were there for the first time today. You can get really good veal kebab there. It's a self-made version that you can taste right away... great. I don't know of any fast food restaurant that has such clean toilets. Top recommendation.

Unfortunately there was no sauce to be found on either kebab. The veal was salty. Unfortunately it's not worth €8.50 for the quality. It used to taste better. Especially the delicious sauce. Staff is very friendly. Ambiance is good. The pay machine visually bothered me. Reminded me of train station flair. Sorry! I understand and welcome your hygiene concept, but the machine could use a visual change. You can do better. See it as an incentive and a challenge.

Today I got a kebab again after a long time there. It used to taste much better, but now there's apparently only one sauce to choose from! There used to be three, and there was more meat on them! The special feature that made this kebab with the sauce combinations is no longer present, now it is just a 0/8/15 kebab that can be classified in the lower half of a scale! Cleanliness: There were some cobwebs hanging on the counter, the floor in front of it wasn't the cleanest either, especially directly at the counter!

In terms of taste, it doesn't have much to do with a real kebab. The sauce is greasy and consists only of mayonnaise, and what's corn supposed to do on a kebab? No recommendation.

Very good kebab and at 7.40 it's reasonable (you also have to remember that this is a large restaurant in a prime location in Augsburg's old town, I don't even want to know how much the rent costs). As some of my previous reviewers have mentioned, the meat for each kebab is weighed. However, I think that's a big advantage, everyone gets the same amount. And there is a normal amount of meat in the kebab. I'm a really good eater and I was full afterward. And if you want more meat you can just say something, the people there are very nice and will accommodate all your requests. Meat is very good quality and crispy, bread is tasty, sauce is very good, vegetables are fresh and crunchy. I would go there again at any time.

I really enjoyed the food here. The bread was fresh, as were the ingredients in the hallumi. The fries were well done and well seasoned. I particularly liked the different hot sauces on the table. There is a deduction because I was initially charged three euros too much. I got it back later.

This is not a kebab!! I ordered from Lieferando in the kebab there was only salad bread wasn't fresh... Instead of saying kebab, they have to write kebab salad.

My go to place in Augsburg for a kebab. I'll put it this way. I travel to Augsburg probably on average twice a year and without buying a kebab at my favourite place the trip just isn't complete. Highly recommend and taste fantastic.

Doner plate Portion size really good, came with a bread that was fresh, warm and crusty. The meat was well seasoned and juicy, the sauce was okay but not a highlight, the salad could have used a little vinegar and oil (just on top as far as I'm concerned)... mixed with the yogurt sauce, chili sauce, salt and pepper it was fine. Other guests' special requests were addressed while I was there and everyone was very nice. Reasonably priced for the location at just under €16 for the plate + ayran.

If you're looking for Augsburg's best kebab, you definitely can't miss Pamukkale. There is a rare coincidence here: quality and ambience. One of the few kebabs in Augsburg, the ingredients are so fresh that you don't want to call this establishment a kebab house, but a restaurant. Of course, there is only one drawback for the Swabian: quality has its price. Here you have to dig a little deeper into your pockets than at some others, but you will be rewarded with taste, freshness and great employees.

The kebab is really good, but the staff lowers the quality of the service a bit. I ordered food without one ingredient and the staff immediately started talking to each other about me, as if it was something bad to order a dish without a given ingredient. Of course, there was a lot of them laughing and pointing their eyes at me during their conversation.

Doner kebab not recommended, €8 and then consisting of 90% vegetables! Carrots and corn have no place in kebabs, just filling material so you don't have to put so much meat in it. Unfortunately I can't add a photo otherwise some people might think about getting a kebab there.

We were/are here every now and then to eat a kebab. Recently it has been more noticeable that portions are becoming smaller and prices are being adjusted upwards. It's a shame - I would also pay €10 for a decent kebab like before. At peak times the staff tends to be a little less attentive and not every request is met. Last time we were put off (1.5 hours before closing time) that you couldn't make kebab anymore, only the even more expensive lahmacun - it's a shame, a compromise couldn't be offered
