Quick and delicious food. There was a wide selection of pastries, and the poppy seed balls were excellent.

I had a falafel and halloumi plate for twelve euros. What I liked best was the falafel; they were even freshly made. The rest was okay. The service could definitely be improved. A smile is always nice in the hospitality industry.

A very good place to have some generous Syrian food! Only one negative point. They don't hae toilets.

The food arrived quickly and was tasty. We weren't there before the change of ownership, so we have nothing to compare it to. It's now part of Habibi, but it tended to taste better. The falafel was decent, and the sauces on the plates were very tasty. Major drawback: There's an AI-generated wallpaper on the screen. That's truly pathetic.

The owners are new, a married couple, but the quality remains the same. The Syrian cuisine is diverse and just right for my/our taste. Not spicy, but rich in flavor. We had the meat platter for two people. When paying, I asked the manager what kind of meat the shawarma skewer was made of. She said it was chicken, and her husband made it himself, as well as all the ingredients. We didn't wait long for this plate, and it was truly a feast for the palate. Keep it up! Afterwards, we went to the cinema "next door" to see the latest film adaptation of Franz Kafka. That one, in turn, was harder to digest than the food at Palmera.

We got French fries cold and oil used looks too many time using over. I suggest you improve your quality, matter a lot.

I was at Palmera again. Before the change of ownership, it was really good: crispy falafel on the outside and soft on the inside, very creamy hummus, and excellent tabbouleh. I was a regular there, and I was very disappointed after my second visit. The former quality is gone; it's unfortunately no longer tasty. It's a shame... Unfortunately, the place still has all the stars from the previous owner.

Unfortunately, our long-time favorite dish under the previous owners, the "Falafel Special," was a disappointment under the new owners, who are partnering with Habibi. The yuka dough was so dry and dense, the previous owners' super delicious hummus sauce now tasted more like salad dressing, the falafel balls weren't as fluffy as they used to be, and there were too many potato chunks for my taste, which made the whole thing a bit too heavy. We used to consider Palmera the "best falafel shop" in town, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case.

Visited the new owners for the first time today. What a disappointment. I had the 56 vegetarian platter and one extra meat dish. There was barely any salad, much less pilaf rice, dry, greasy meat, and pointlessly soggy fries. Visually awful, too. They'll never see me again!!!

As we all know, taste is subjective. Not so here, as taste seems to have left the restaurant with the previous owner. What a pity.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the falafel plate was fantastic. Unfortunately, there are only two outdoor seating options, so you have to be quick.

It's a shame the owner changed. The shawarma used to taste much better. The current meat is salty and dry because of the unnecessary fries; and there's no iceberg lettuce anymore. Also, be careful with the change. I've been there twice and was completely disappointed both times. I'll never go back.

We got the number 15, Palmera special, it was amazing, we got it as 2 people and it was very filling. The shawarma tastes very good too. The FALAFEL is amazing!!!!! We ate number 15, the Palmer Special, it was wonderful. There were two of us and one special plate was enough for us. It's a lot for one person and just fills you up, the shawarma is GOOD!!! THE FALAFEL HERE IS THE BEST I HAVE SEATED IN MY LIFE.

First of all, it's a highly recommended food place in Karlsruhe. The owner, if I'm not mistaken, is named Cemal or Celal, and he's a very kind man. He speaks Turkish, Arabic, German at a very good level, and a bit of English. But don't worry if you can't speak any of these languages, as the owner finds a way to communicate with you :). I tried the falafel and hummus, and both of them were amazing, with a solid 5/5 rating. They were very fresh, and unlike others, the falafel didn't smell bad because of the oil bath. To sum it up, this place is highly recommended for those who like exotic sauces and good falafel. Next time, I'll try their shawarma.

Palmera has been my favorite falafel shop in the southern part of the city for over half a decade. The food is authentic, tasty and fairly priced. Although the ambience is not outstanding, a visit to KOHI is definitely worth it. The vegetarian options are varied and healthy. A great tip for everyone who appreciates good, honest cuisine!

Alles super, war seit ich vor Jahren zum ersten Mal hier war nicht mehr bei anderen "Dönerläden"... Der klassische Döner kommt nichtmal ansatzweise an den Schawarma ran, der hier serviert wird. Habe hier Falafel lieben gelernt, wird über den ganzen Tag stets frisch zubereitet!

Hier gibts eine der besten Speisen in Karlsruhe. Sehr nettes Personal und absolut leckeres Essen! Es gibt auch für Vegetarier viel Auswahl. Dazu kommt, dass die Portionen riesig und dafür sehr preisgünstig sind.

Das Palmera ist in meinen Augen der beste orientalische Imbiss der Stadt. Zwar finden sich unter der Konkurrenz natürlich gute Alternativen, aber es schmeckt einfach nirgendwo so lecker wie hier. Wenn die Zeit mal reicht, um nicht nur abzuholen, sondern vor Ort zu essen, ist das Palmera Spezial vegetarisch meine ganz klare Empfehlung, einfach nur köstlich!

Das Palmera in der Karlsruher Südstadt kenne ich schon seit über 15 Jahren. Die Besitzer haben ein paar Mal gewechselt aber die Qualität ist geblieben. Hier gibts authentische Speisen aus dem Orient. Durchweg alle Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und schmecken exzellent. Auch Vegetarier kommen hier zu einer überaus leckeren Mahlzeit. Die Betreiber sind nett, das Ambiente ansprechend und sauber. Alles gibt es zum mitnehmen oder man setzt sich in den Vorbereich. Kein Restaurant aber mehr als ein Imbiss. Preis/Leistung ist entsprechend optimal! Bei Stoßzeiten muss man etwas Zeit mitbringen, was sich aber immer lohnt.
