Pagode Thai Kitchen in Berlin

My table was wiped down twice even though I was still eating, which in my opinion is absolutely unacceptable. When I kindly asked to have the rest packed for me, I was without a word given a small cup to pack myself. I found the people extremely unfriendly and annoyed. It's a shame because the food is very tasty.

Great team! Fair price and good quality. One of the oldest restaurant in the Bergmannkiez.

Walked by and it was packed, so it must be decent right? Got pad Thai that is unrecognizable as such and a curry that was oversalted and uninspired. Currently feeling sick and full of regret from the tomato sauce and sugar packed pad Thai. Nice service though.

We ordered here and it was horrible. Extremely expensive and none of the dishes were edible. The Pad Thai in particular was an absolute joke. A huge lump of pasta stuck together in some extremely sweet sauce - it had nothing to do with a Pad Thai. The little we ate made us sick afterwards.

Made an order and got the worst Pad Thai ever. Made with sugar and tomato sauce. Absolutely unreachable.

Don’t get fooled by the good reviews here, this is a trap where no dish is even remotely what is supposed to be, fake pad Thai with tomato sauce, thom ka fai taste like dirty water. Ordered delivery and spent quite a bit of money, we couldn’t eat half of it, a 15 years old kid would cook 10 times better. Stay away! 🤮

Authentic Thai cuisine (except for the spiciness, which is - fortunately for most people - not authentic). Otherwise, for as long as I can remember, a consistent top level without any frills. Fast and good, with the emphasis really being on good, aromatic, fresh and simply delicious. Prices are absolutely fair.

Very nice people and the best Thai cuisine in Berlin. I've been to Thailand too and would argue that the food here was even better 😅 PS: They have fresh coconut water straight from Thailand. It couldn't be better! 🥳

The food is very good and fills you up quite well, I would recommend No. 45 on the menu (fried egg noodles with chicken) The only objectionable thing is that they never make soy sauce, but you can make it yourself.

I love the Tom Kah Gai soup (with extra rice).

The place looks like it serves authentic Thai food, but it seems to be strongly tailored to European tastes. The soup was very good though, a large portion. The main course was worse because it was definitely too salty.

I ordered take out on Sunday. Worst Pat Thai ever and way too expensive. On top of it I got terrible food poisoning from it. Do NOT recommend!

Most authentic Thai food so far in Berlin. I especially loved that they made the food extra spicy (asian spicy!) per our request.

Prices are getting more and more expensive and portions are so small that you won't be full again

Very nice Thai. The food is ok. Unfortunately I found it a little boring. It could have been a little better seasoned. In general, I don't like stores where you have to pick up your food. But the shop is comfortably furnished and everything is very clean

Recently I went to Pagoda with friends and we all loved it! The restaurant offers a unique, authentic ambience - you immediately feel like you are in Thailand. The self-service worked well and the staff were very friendly and helpful despite the system. The food was simply fantastic! The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The price is absolutely ok considering the excellent quality and taste of the food. Overall it was a great experience, thank you and see you soon

I recently went to Pagoda and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic - you immediately feel like you are in Thailand. The food was simply fantastic! I particularly recommend the Ped Sukhothai with duck, which was perfectly seasoned and freshly prepared. The flavors were intense and balanced, the fresh vegetable ingredients rounded off the dish wonderfully - just like you would want in a good Thai restaurant. The portions were generous and the price was absolutely justified for the quality and taste. Overall a great experience - I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!

How does this have five stars! This is the most expensive and worst Thai food I ever ate. I ordered with Garnelen and it came with tofu. The pad Thai was just noodles in ketchup sauce and cost €17!! Avoid this place at all costs

Ordered a crispy chicken and it was double fried and inedible 😅, good otherwise.

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with authentic Thai cuisine. No leaf krapao basilica at pad krapao. The original consists of 90% meat. A confusing mix of vegetables, pieces of meat and run-of-the-mill sauce is served here. This has absolutely nothing to do with real Thai cuisine. Very disappointing. Plus self-service and therefore not really cheap. The food is “tasty” but nothing that you can’t make at home in 2-3 minutes…

I was used to order from this restaurant on Uber Eats and planning to visit in person. What a wonderful place, the food is even better on-site. It will be a regular spot for me from now on!

Super authentic food and friendly service!!!

It was okay. But not really authentic in my opinion. I don’t get the hype. It’s like every other fast asian kitchen place. Self service. If you’re looking for a cheap meal and be satisfied then it’s the right place. Other than that it’s mediocre. There are much better places in Berlin to eat Thai food.

Awesome food. It a small stall and more like a street food place. Also prices are relative high but definitely worth it as taste is great.

The last time I was there was 8 years ago and I have to say that I was very disappointed that this former insider tip, which was then also affordable for students etc., has developed back into a real run-of-the-mill tourist cave. Unfriendly Berliner and not Asian friendly, cash only, pay immediately for every single order and on top of that a bit grubby. No thanks ! I won't be coming back!

Incomparably great food! It tastes super authentic and fresh. I've been eating here for years and the service has never changed; Price and taste simply incredible! I love it.

This is the most remorseful Thai takeaway outside of Pattaya. Had a Phad Krapaow whose ingredients had nothing to do with a Phad Krapaow. What the hell are wide bamboo shoots doing in there? The sauce was completely tasteless and had a hint of Maggi. Otherwise thin and no resemblance to the powerful gravy of Phad Krapaow. That was Maggi cooking studio level. Shallow shooting techno played in the background. If the food had been at least a bit of a blast and supported the Pattaya vibes evoked by the music, we could have gotten something out of it. So it was just a sad experience.

Very welcoming and nice staff, quick service, quite cheap and very tasty vegan options! We ordered 2 starters, 2 main dishes + soda just for 30€, waiting time for all 4 dishes was less than 5 minutes and everything was hot and tasty. Also, they noticed that we were with a dog and kindly gave him some water :). And btw, only cash. Would definitely recommend this place!

Best Thai snack, tastes extremely good, short waiting times, inexpensive

I ordered a fried duck in red coconut curry, shown on the menu with 3 red peppers (i.e. very hot), unfortunately it tasted very bland, a lot of bamboo strips, unfortunately no Thai eggplant, the vegetables were not crunchy, the duck was very Unfortunately the rest wasn't so great.

We ordered the pad kra pow and were shocked when we collected the food.. when we showed the lady how an authentic pad kra pow should look like, she just shrugged her shoulders.. I’m really shocked because the restaurant looked really authentic with all the awards and yet they’re doing such injustice to their own national dish 😳 I felt really bad for bringing my German friends to this restaurant because Thai food should not taste like this .. I think it’s better to just rename the dish to “chop suey rice”… Giving 2 stars here because the curry dish, drinks and atmosphere were good. You would be better off ordering the noodles but the “pad kra pow”is a huge no go. Please, for the love of god, stop calling this pad kra pow 😢 💔 🙏 Khob Khun ka 🙏

We ordered take out. The food was good but nothing more. The service is not very friendly but nevertheless fast and efficient. The portions are copious and, therefore, the quality-price ratio is very good. The takeaway containers are very well designed. Special mention for the satay sauce which is delicious.

The food is so delicious! The kitchen is open and you can watch the whole process. We tried different things and each one of them was amazing! Portions are quite big so be careful with the quantity. The feeling is so authentic. It brought me back in Thailand. Get in mind the spicy is moderate to the westerners' taste so be brave when choosing the hot dishes!

It's about the food, real street food according to our own statements. There are many good restaurants here in Bergmann, one is the best in the country, the other is the best in Europe, and once again the best in the world. PAGODE is the best on this street, ha , ha, that's right. All the friends I dragged here went to the waitress and said they were pleasantly surprised. And they're used to Thai/Chinese food. Allso.lets go.

Authentische Thai Küche im Bergmann Kiez. Fester Stopp wenn wir da unterwegs sind. Preis/Leistung passt, ist doch kein Problem das Essen selbst an der Theke zu holen. Nettes Lokal, kleiner Nachteil: nur Barzahlung. Gute Auswahl an vegetarischen Optionen, bei Nachfrage werden auch vegane Gerichte empfohlen

I have been buying from Pagode for many years. It was so good, but it keeps getting worse! The taste is still good, but the portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher. More there than other places...damn, it's very sad.

Good quality price. I like the soups at most. Edit: It got much more expensive and they don't accept cash...

Had the Khao Soi. I really enjoyed the soup. Had been looking for Khao Soi for ages. Wonderful egg noodles! The Mango Lasso was tasty as well.

Essen war schnell und frisch zubereitet. Es ist aber komplett Self-Service. Erinnerte mich an ein upgegradetes Mensa-essen Feeling 😅Man zahlt zuerst und kann auch nur in Cash bezahlen. Dafür sind die Preise hier noch recht günstig im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants mittlerweile.

Sehr leckeres essen und kurze Wartezeiten. Wenn man rein kommt sieht es vielleicht voll aus aber unten gibt es noch mehr Plätze. Empfehle ich wenn man schnell was essen muss.

Food is good. Not spicy but you can always adjust with great selection of chili. Service very cold. Felt like you were bothering them just to be there. Too many flies in the downstairs eating room. Maybe that's authentic Thai, but I'd prefer hygienic .

Used to be a regular when we lived in the neighborhood- can’t recommend it any more. Worst Pad Thai ever- it was covered with some slimey and sweet red sauce. The only greens were a few pieces of spring onion and some pieces of carrot garnish that were completely dry.. My friend had a fried duck dish that looked and tasted dry…

A real taste of Bangkok in Berlin

Leckeres Pad Thai, freundlicher Service, Ambiente zu Stoßzeiten durch viele stehende Menschen, die auf ihr To-Go-Essen warten getrübt.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, aber wenn ich es scharf verlange und dann auf extra Saucen verwiesen werde, gibt das einen Stern Abzug. Und das ich dann auf meine erneute Nachfrage, warum man es nicht sofort scharf zubereitet, gesagt bekomme, man sei in Deutschland, dafür hätte es gar keinen Stern mehr verdient gehabt. Ich gehe nicht mehr hin.

I’ve explained Pagode to friends like this: it’s not the best restaurant in the area, but it’s my favorite restaurant in the area. Has good vibes and the ladies behind the counter are kind and charming. Pretty much the only non-touristy restaurant on Bergmannstraße and one of the better values.

Die Suppe war wirklich gut und das Essen war auch schnell fertig. Aber das Pad Thai war geschmacklos und ein untrennbarer Haufen Nudeln. Leider wurde auch ein Getränk vergessen. Für die Suppe würden wir aber wiederkommen 😁

We ordered online and didn't enjoy the food. The bami pat was dry and a bit salty. The pat pag ruam mid was also quite flavorless. The vegetables didn't taste fresh. Maybe it's better in the restaurant.

Einer meiner lieblings Thai. Ente Cross süß sauer oder Huhn in Kokos Curry Sauce. Das Fleisch könnte manchmal noch frischer schmecken obwohl es in 5 Minuten immer frisch zubereitet wird und relativ gut besucht ist. Auch lecker der Ananas Shake.

Not quality 🫤 Vegetables smell like wet cutting board

Worst noodles I've had in a very long time. I ordered them with chicken and couldn't find a single piece. The vegetables seemed boiled and were extremely tasteless. The noodles were a compact sticky ball. Sincerely terrible.

The pad thai with ketchup sauce is a disgrace to thai cuisine. The other dishes were fine but quite bland. Would not recommend coming here

Essen über Lieferando bestellt. Zwei Stunden gewartet, labrige Frühlingsrollen, laurames essen, noch wärmerer Salat. Bei 35 Grad richtig ungeil in den Alu Schalen. Beim Anruf wo der Fahrer bleibt wirkt der Herr am Telefon desinteressiert oder überfordert. Nicht das Geld Wert selbst, wenn's pünktlich wäre. Die Frühlingsrollen schmecken nach TK Ware ohne Füllung und beim Hauptgericht besteht die Hälfte aus Reis. Für das Geld echt ne Frechheit. Tausend Mal bessere Restaurants fürs selbe Geld erlebt. Keine Empfehlung.

Wir bestellen aufgrund der Bewertungen und ich mache mir Sorgen. Entweder sind die Bewertungen gekauft oder jeder, der in der Vergangenheit Bewertungen abgegeben hat, hat lange unter lebhaften Gefühlen gelitten und seine Geschmacksknospen verloren. Es gab nichts Thailändisches an diesem Ort und es war kaum allgemein asiatisch. Das Essen war essbar, aber nicht gut. Die Bambussprossen hatten aufgrund der Konservierungsstoffe einen komischen Geruch und die Soße war im Grunde die gleiche wie für ein Massaman-Curry und eine Pfanne. Auswärts essen ist nicht mehr das, was es früher war, und ich versuche im Allgemeinen, es zu vermeiden.

Preis-Leistung stimmt leider nicht mehr. Bei diesen Preisen muss man sich 1. einen Platz suchen, dann 2. Bestellen, dann 3. Essen selbst abholen und 4. Geschirr abräumen. Tische waren klebrig , Toilleten unsauber.

Immer wieder werde ich von der Vielfalt und leckeren Speisen überrascht. Bravo Sunny. Sehr empfehlenswert.
