As residents of Wurzach, we have often been guests here, or ordered for pickup. Even now, after the change of management, we are using this service, or have used it in the past. The pizzas are truly excellent; we're not as satisfied with the pasta dishes, but that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, due to the long wait when picking up our order (August 2025), the food was cold by the time it arrived. As it turned out, our food was on the restaurant counter on time, ready for pickup. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our turn, but perhaps that was an exception. We might try again at a later time.

If you want delicious pizza, you can't miss Osteria Mavani. It's incredibly tasty. The salad is also delicious. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful. The service was also very courteous and fast. And the value for money was truly fantastic.

We received the wrong dish (I pointed to it when ordering because it was quite loud in the restaurant). It wasn't really a problem, because mistakes can happen anytime, especially when the restaurant is busy. However, when it was pointed out to the server, they simply explained that it was almost the same as the dish we had originally ordered (Caprese is still Caprese), that it was ready, and that I should just take that one. They also gave me a gentle pat on the back, saying that they were busy at the moment. Okay... too bad. I would have preferred a different response - perhaps whether they should bring the other dish later or swap it. Even when clearing the table, it didn't bother me that three-quarters of the pizza remained on my plate... I guess I was just a little hungry. We mentioned it again in person at the checkout. However, they said we should have mentioned it earlier - funny, since we did it. Perhaps they shouldn't lecture the guests, but rather question their internal communication. For us, the wrong dish wouldn't have been a cause for concern in principle. But the way we handled the complaint was even more so. The motto was "take it or leave - be happy with what you get." We left extremely disappointed, because it wasn't a matter of different tastes, but rather a clear error by the staff, which we wanted to resolve directly in person, but for which no attempt was made to remedy the situation or even offer a clear apology.

Good food, fast service, and friendly. Reservations are recommended.

Very tasty pasta and the pizza dough on TOP

The food was ok not anything special. The oven is not a wood fired oven, what is necessary for a napoletan pizza. The young waiteress has a terrible behaviour. After we finished our food immediately she insisted to leave the table. I felt very ashamed because I had high expectations for this restaurant. The same thing can’t be said for the other waitress. Overall review didn’t meet my expectations!

The food was absolutely amazing, the service was friendly, and the only major downside was that you wait forever for your food! Plan an extra hour than you'd normally expect for a meal.

We've been to this restaurant several times, but this weekend we were there for a private party. Everything was very nice, the entire process was superbly organized and simple. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone. I value friendliness, and that's exactly what I get here. Keep up the good work. A warm welcome to Bad Wurzach.

We ordered tagliatelle as ragu. Unfortunately, the pasta was far too soft. It couldn't even be rolled without falling apart. The sauce was too tomato-heavy and otherwise rather bland. We didn't have pizza. However, there are much better pasta alternatives in Bad Wurzach.

After an excursion, I went there for dinner and was greeted very warmly and escorted to my reserved table. The service was very attentive. I had a salad and a pizza, and my request for garlic was accommodated. All in all, it was a pleasant evening with the minor drawback that the tap was broken, but we were offered a bottled light beer, which was well chilled and refreshing. I'd be happy to come back.

A very, very nice shop, authentic Italian pizza, and extremely dedicated staff. We ordered twelve pizzas and got one free per bottle. The freshly chilled beer made our evening even more enjoyable. Thank you so much, keep up the good work!

We ordered a margarita to go, and it arrived after 5 minutes. We found it very bad; the crust was very thin and the pizza itself was very small. The toppings were anything but tasty. It neither filled us up nor tasted good ;(

This was my second time here. I had a side salad and a pizza. I highly recommend a visit this time, too. The pizza is amazing. The service is also very friendly and attentive.

We visited the Osteria for the first time in April on a recommendation. After that visit, I immediately decided to celebrate my birthday there, even though it's a one-hour drive from Bad Wurzach. The organization and advance arrangements worked flawlessly. The celebration itself also went to everyone's satisfaction. Although many different dishes were ordered, almost all of them arrived at the same time (and I was clearly informed in advance that this might be difficult if we were to eat à la carte). The quality of the food itself delighted all my guests. The service was excellent and very friendly. Many thanks again to the entire team!!

Very delicious pizza! Wafer-thin base, thick crust; never had such a good pizza in Germany. Nice atmosphere, but unfortunately a bit noisy. Service could be a bit faster.

We highly recommend this pizzeria and the pizza. We were in Bad Wurzach over the weekend and were craving a pizza. The pizza tasted absolutely delicious. The crust was super fluffy.

Really excellent pizza! Brilliant soil and first-class ingredients! However, we had to wait a very long time. The order was only taken after 20 minutes and the two pizzas only arrived another 40 minutes later. The service was friendly. It may be possible to improve the organization here.

We are always thrilled with the food! The pizza is simply great! I recently ordered pasta to pick up and it was so beautifully presented - you can't even get that on a plate in some restaurants! The taste is always excellent and you can tell the high quality of the food. A small suggestion for improvement: The waiting time when pre-ordering could be a little shorter. With children who wait a long time when you have pre-ordered the food for collection at a certain time, it can sometimes be a bit difficult. But the service is always friendly and accommodating. We'll order and be happy to come back! 😊🍝🍕

One of the best Italian restaurants in the area👌🏻 whether pasta or pizza, everything is made from the highest quality products and you can taste it too.

The three of us were having dinner and ordered pizzas. 2 of them tasted good, but the seafood pizza we ordered was a complete failure. The seafood was thawed and almost raw. When asked by the staff, the answer was that I wouldn't eat seafood pizza either.

The pizza tastes really great. Very friendly service. I had tiramisu for dessert, which I can only recommend.

The worst food I ate was ordering pizza. After about an hour of waiting, the horror came. I hurt my tooth because it doesn't have painted rock salt in it. The pizza was oversalted and the toppings were mostly just cheese and tomato paste from a discount store. Everything worked perfectly with the reservation! Our visit was a complete pleasure from the very first second. All you can say about the staff is chapeau. Super friendly and well trained. Our every wish was fulfilled. The food was great. From the starter to the main course, everything was phenomenal. Pasta great, pizza a dream! For once the name is completely accurate - the Osteria has its title right. We will 100% be back!!

It takes over an hour to get food

This visit to the restaurant enchanted me ✨ The service was very pleasant, relaxed, friendly and attentive. The pizza is crispy, juicy and extremely fluffy at the same time! The tomato sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes from the vine! And there are also affordable prices, which means that the average person can treat themselves to something delicious! CHAPEAU! I have never experienced anything like this before! I will definitely come back.

Unfortunately it doesn't hold up to the comparison with Veneta. Instead of a wafer-thin, crispy base, the pizza dough is now thick and rubbery. The edge is 5-6cm wide and the thinly covered part is just a small children's pizza. The prices are significantly higher than those of the previous tenant. Too bad. From an insider tip to an expensive flop!!!

We went there for dinner this afternoon for the first time since the change of ownership. The table reservation over the phone worked, the atmosphere is nice, the pizzas, especially the dough, are very good and tasteful. We enjoyed it very much. The young owner is very, very friendly and does a great job considering his age. He came to the table and explained to us the different spicy oils. Keep it up, people like the contact with the owner. We'll be back, we're happy to have a good pizzeria in Bad Wurzach again. Pizza and pasta is a philosophy and a matter of taste and, as we all know, taste can be debated.

But so highly recommended, very lovely people and very competent service, great wine recommendations and very tasty food... I've already reserved for tomorrow 👍🫶

The Osteria Mavani seamlessly follows the tradition of its predecessors. Even after the change of ownership, the pizza is the best in the area. The service was also great. The only small point of criticism is that it gets very loud in the rooms when there is a lot going on.

Pizzas good. Staff unfriendly, sensitive reactions to guests' concerns. Not a friendly farewell. Overall service could be improved. The claim that customers are pampered, especially for families with children, should still be worked on. But maybe it will.

I would describe the visit as a big no-no. Pizza “okay” but nothing special and no comparison to before. The service is hopelessly overwhelmed!!!

We loved Osteria Veneta from the start. Now Marco and Erica are back in Italy, but have found worthy successors in Mariano and Valeria. The pizzas are great, as are the antipasti (I haven't tried the pasta yet 😉, but it looks very good). Be sure to reserve, otherwise there will be no more space. Thank you for continuing this great Osteria. We will remain loyal to the walls!!!

Unfortunately there is no comparison to before. There were six of us there, but the starters like bruschetta and antipasti couldn't convince us. The pizzas were also disappointing - tasteless and far from the quality we used to know. One pizza was forgotten, another was served incorrectly. A Margherita quickly became a salami pizza by simply adding a few slices of salami. The spaghetti carbonara was also far too “sticky” and could hardly be twisted on the fork. The service seemed disorganized, which may have been because the team wasn't yet well-coordinated. It's a shame - we were used to it differently.

A very successful evening. Very friendly and competent staff. The food was very tasty, high quality and quickly served at the table. I can only recommend it. Any time. Ordered the (folded) pizza first. Simply brilliant. A great mix of cold and warm.

Very very good staff very polite and friendly. You can get quick pizza without having to wait long. You feel like the staff in Italy talk to each other and so you get a kind of Italy in Bad Wurzach. Very nice atmosphere and tables very inviting.

Forget (almost) everything you have ever found in terms of pizzaria in Germany. The pizza is exceptionally good and truly Italian thanks to its dough and the variations. For the first time I have found a house where the other dishes are the way they are cooked in Italian families. 5 stars are actually not enough, as the good cuisine also includes the fact that it is cooked with genuine Italian, high-quality ingredients. You can also pick up outstanding Italian delicatessen products from the specialty shelf. You have to have a very disturbed personality to encounter unfriendly service here. I would also notice that the taste complaints come from corners of the "Hawaiian pizza and carbonara with peas orderers" and are therefore more of a testament to ignorance. Anyone who has something to complain about here has it Simply no control over his life. What this Christoph Paris is writing here is complete nonsense. --- New operator - new luck!!! As a regular guest of the old house and a fairly good knowledge of Italian cuisine, as is common in Italian families, there was of course great concern that there would be Germanized Italian cuisine. With the result that last night I had one of the best spaghetti carbonara I've had in Germany so far. This address continues with formidable authentic Italian cuisine. Grazie Mille!!!

We were very satisfied! What we particularly appreciated: great, attentive service! Very child-friendly: cheap children's menu, the children were allowed to order their food straight away and it came to them super quickly. Our pizzas were delicious, typically Italian, and tiramisu & panna cotta afterwards was just the right ending! We couldn't get a better pizza on our vacation in Italy, so it was exactly the right restaurant for an Italian evening ;-)

All in all, a wonderful, very fine meal. Service was very friendly and attentive. Good recommendations. We were the first time here by chance. Despite the distance of around 100 km, we will come again soon. Highly recommended!!

We were here last night because the Osteria was recommended to us by locals. We weren't disappointed. In addition to delicious pizza, there are homemade pasta and much more. We enjoyed it excellently and felt like we were on holiday in Italy. The service was also great. Despite the fact that it was very full, they still made two seats available for us at the counter. Thank you!

Flexible staff, tables were quickly put together so that we could sit together as a group. Food came quickly and almost equally for everyone. Prices are reasonable. Really a good restaurant!

One lady is very friendly, others not so much. We ordered a pizza and an antipasto. The pizza was ok, but the antipasto with supposedly grilled vegetables was very bad. The presentation as well as the taste were very poor especially for the price and quantity. The vegetables were not grilled, but soft and warmed up. Then there was pesto on top of the vegetables (I've never seen that before either). I wouldn't recommend this type of plate to anyone.

The choice was initially made out of desperation, as it is not easy to find a restaurant that is open on Mondays. Then we were pleasantly surprised and are happy to have found it. We will be happy to come back and enjoy the special creations, some of which are not available in every pizzeria.

We went to the Osteria for dinner today with a group of 6 people. The lady who welcomed us was very friendly. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the other two ladies in service... A pizza was forgotten, with the comment that it was lost because of the many extra requests (two pizzas were ordered with extra toppings). We were left stranded because no one came to ask if we wanted something more to drink. Ashtrays were not emptied and when it came to paying we had to come to the cash register like we were in kindergarten. Obviously, calculating the individual amounts is not one of their strengths. So we stood in the middle of the path so that the other waitresses had to squeeze past us. At the end there wasn't even a bye. All in all it should be a nice and fun evening, but we have never felt so unwanted anywhere!!! The only thing that deserves 4 stars here is the food. That was very good. Big compliments to the kitchen...

The Osteria Veneta is located in the beautiful and clean city center of Bad Wurzach and impresses with a great ambience, delicious food and fair prices, as well as being child-friendly and with quick and accommodating service even when the hut is full. Definitely worth recommending!

The pizza was great. The homemade pasta looked good too. Even though we didn't exactly sit inconspicuously in the already full store with two tired children and a dog in tow, the service was very friendly and relaxed, even though they clearly had a lot to do. We will definitely come back - when the children are well rested 😉

We chose this pizzeria because of the good reviews. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but took the food with us. We would have liked to eat in the restaurant, but all the seats were occupied or reserved. Overall, I would have expected more from the food (pizza, pasta and salad). Pizza and pasta were okay, but nothing special. Salad could have used more sauce/dressing for my taste. Portions weren't particularly large, but the prices are higher. Staff was friendly and helpful.
