The food today was really delicious. We also noticed the service was very positive. A good-humoured and courteous young group. Unfortunately, this wasn't always the case in the past. Keep it up!!!

Excellent food. Nice and friendly service extremely slow due to the number of staff. Two people to cover the entire room and the bar are too few.

The staff does a fantastic job, is very friendly and accommodating! The food was regional, tasty and served quickly!

We went to Oskar's restaurant for a "crime dinner". The quality of the food was good, but unfortunately the portion size was a bit eye-catching. Since we sat in a separate hall, I can only rate this one. Unfortunately, the atmosphere there was cool and you felt like you were in a gym.

Great quiet location on a huge square, plenty of parking. Super well organized service team. Clear but sophisticated menu, delicious wines and a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding.

The food was really delicious! Unfortunately the portions were a bit small and the dessert wasn't fresh. We waited a long time until we could order.

Oskar's merits my five stars only because they have local Wels catfish on their menu and were able to serve me when I arrived 15 min before the kitchen closed on a Sunday night. It's quite a long preparation and it was perfectly cooked, tasting discretely and deliciously from the mud bottom of the nearby lake where it had been caught, proving this fish was not imported from anywhere. Unfortunately, they had no Spätburgunder by the glass so a Grauburgunder had to do the job of accompanying the fish. The staff was kind and efficient and could take a joke or two.

We waited 1 hour for our salad to order. When we asked, it was brought immediately. Unfortunately the goat's cheese was cold and inedible because of the excessive salt crust. It was all very expensive. The place looks very new and modern.

We were allowed to join a group of strangers at the buffet. There was something for everyone and very plentiful. Our waitress was very friendly and always served us quickly

We would have liked to try the food at lunchtime, but unfortunately we didn't even get a menu after we asked several times after waiting for over 30 minutes. There was hardly any activity, but a celebrity was a guest who was looked after excellently and we were allowed to watch. Other guests and we, who had waited in vain for service, then left again.

For the statement that a philosophy is represented here, the food is average. Table dirty and not washed even when asked. Meat very salty. The side dish was poor, you had to look for the pointed cabbage with a magnifying glass. The table wasn't cleared for breakfast and the service wasn't very friendly. If you have gluten intolerance, don't expect bread that you could enjoy. Soggy and inedible

The food was excellent, we had 2 different starters and 3 main courses. So much for the positive points. We were disappointed by the primitive outdoor furniture, where you immediately go through the cushions when you sit down. They were also crumpled and dirty and also untidy, even though the shop was empty. We were the first guests after the kitchen break. Lots of them Tables were still dirty, we had to search through some of them until we found a clean one. There were problems when ordering a wine because the management was on vacation for 3 weeks and so nothing was ordered. When we had a digestive after dinner If you wanted to, all the spirits were gone here too. At the bar you couldn't help with expertise or suggestions, it was difficult. In the end we asked ourselves why it was so empty on a Saturday evening even though the food was delicious. The service was just not right. Too bad...

We had a lovely, relaxing evening with delicious food, attentive and very friendly service and were completely satisfied. We appreciate the regional ingredients, the small, manageable menu, and the always fresh ingredients.

From the small lunch menu there was a summer leaf salad, the choice was catfish fillet, chicken breast or goat cheese. I chose catfish. The salad was crispy and the dressing was very tasty. The fish was fried to perfection and really good. Unfortunately, the portion was really tiny at around 60g and was more in the appetizer range. Since there was no bread with it, unfortunately I wasn't really full for the €27.80 I paid. A pity. Could have been really good...

Not a good first impression... unfortunately... because the food was really delicious. We were barely sitting when we noticed how the (head) chef was making a mess of the waiter. In a restaurant with an open kitchen, this doesn't go unnoticed by the guests! The chef loudly and rudely told the waiter that it was Bon-Stop. (The restaurant was max. half full!?) The waiter then came to us and told us that he would like to take drinks. We could also order food, but he wasn't allowed to give the receipt to the kitchen yet. I've really never experienced that before! The service was slow, but still attentive. In the end, paying separately was rather inconvenient. Someone should pay for everything and then we should come to an agreement among ourselves. The cash register system also seemed rather inflexible for larger groups or was the system incorrectly configured!? It's a shame, the food was very tasty, but unfortunately the surroundings didn't fit. Anyone who offers prices like that should have more than just the taste. By the way, €6 for a 0.4l CocaCola or juice is really exaggeratedly more expensive for WETZLAR!

Second time there and disappointed with the retrained service. The topic of celiac disease is completely unknown. Setting the table incompletely. Price performance is not right, you can't run a location like this with politeness alone. Online reservation not possible because the system is not maintained. There is still a lot of room for improvement here and I hope that this criticism finds open words among management. Train and support the staff!

The location on a roundabout is not that comfortable for sitting outside. It still looks very new and could still develop a bit. The lunch menu is very clear and the prices are high. The quality of the food was good, it was beautifully prepared and tasty. We waited just as long for the cheesecake as we did for the burger. So the coffee with the cake was already drunk when the cake arrived.

The service is a complete disgrace, waiters are completely stupid, not hospitable at all, playing on their cell phones or doing something before the guests are served. For me the weakest service in the metropolitan area

To those responsible here! Train your staff! Train your staff! Motivate your staff! I've already experienced a lot - but this is the last straw. There are people at the reception who are not being noticed. No one comes to the table to take an order. People don't look to the left or right when it's cleared away... Guys... that can't be the case. The food is great, you don't understand why the service is practically non-existent! Change something! Fast!

Breakfast buffet has almost everything. Unfortunately no fresh fried eggs/omelettes. Service is a bit slow. Plates remained left throughout breakfast, even though there wasn't a lot going on.

We were super satisfied with the food and the service. My fiancée follows a vegan diet and great consideration was given to this and something was always prepared separately for her. We especially noticed the waiter Mahmoud very positively, as he tried very hard to serve us and especially my fiancée a delicious meal. We are happy to recommend the restaurant.

We were 3 adults, a child and a dog there, We were warmly welcomed and shown to the reserved table, The waitress and waiter were very friendly and competent, we tasted 2 wines and then we ordered, We chose the "sharing is caring" menu for 60 per person, you get a lot for the money, lots of variations of starters, lots of and very tasty main courses (we got 6 different ones, meat, pork, hand and vegetarian dishes) Finally, a mixed dessert platter per person. Price performance is unbeatable, we had a great evening and had a very tasty meal, we will definitely be going back soon.

Unfortunately I was forced to delete my previous 5 star review. We suggested a meeting at Oskars to friends because of our positive experiences with the fresh cuisine and the possibility of making dishes gluten-free. On Sunday lunchtime there is only the small lunch menu, we knew that, we ignored the strange decoration with a streamer on the table. We were 4 couples and 1 waitress, there was no one else in the restaurant so there was no stress or hecticness. When making the reservation, it was pointed out that there was a gluten-free person and that it would be great to have something for coffee. My dish, which I asked again whether it was gluten-free, was covered with a mountain of flour-coated fried onions. These were then roughly removed from the plate (clearly visible in the open kitchen). Of course there were leftovers and crumbs left behind. This can send someone with celiac disease to the hospital, but many people may not realize that. The venison sausages were certainly not in the pan for the first time and were completely dry and dark on one side. The really expensive salads came without bread and of course there was no coffee for me either. The usual sorbet as an innovative alternative came on cookie crumbs and finally ruined my day. When it came to paying, everything went haywire, some things weren't booked, some weren't fully booked after paying. We won't be coming back, one stomach ache is enough for me. It's really a shame because I think the restaurant is beautiful!

The service is simply unreasonable. An hour passed before the starter arrived, and the gossiping about colleagues seemed more important. People also liked to just stand there and stare into space even though several guests were waiting. Nothing was cleared away at all. A wine list was offered, there were no recommendations and the wine was brought just before dessert. The mood was somewhere between passive-aggressive and hypocritical. No hospitality. The food was reasonable for the price and quite okay.

My husband had the baked chicken with lukewarm potato salad and a mayonnaise to go with the chicken. This was very tasty. I had the country bill steak with a great huge salad. I found the cheese spaetzle a little bland. The regional beer was very tasty. The portions are definitely sufficient and the service was great.

Yet another positive surprise. The regional cuisine with selected ingredients from the area is appealing. Plus generous portions and nice service.

We had a further journey and had made a reservation in advance by phone for 9:30 a.m. for the birthday breakfast. However, we were not informed that breakfast was only available until 10 a.m. We were then rudely asked why we hadn't informed ourselves. Thanks for nothing! We won't be coming back again.

The food is just great and the selection of food and drink I would come here again at any time.

I used the break at the TESLA SuperCharger to grab a bite to eat in the evening. Chic restaurant, nice service, delicious food, but very expensive 😉! The portion is manageable and quite expensive at €29.90. The “greetings from the kitchen” could be explained briefly, then I would have known what it was. Still, I liked it…👍 I wouldn't have gone there quickly with the whole family because I would have lost €150 🙄!!!

Does the Oskar refer to Oskar Barnack?

Pure chaos, service catastrophic, the simplest ABC of gastronomy is not mastered in any way. This is my first bad review. Why? Because you really deserve it!!!! It starts with the table reservation. “Reserve online” is on the homepage, but it doesn’t work. You can only reach the hotel called Vienna House by phone. After some back and forth and a call back, we ordered a table for 2 people and a child. We arrive at 6:15 p.m. and are shown to one of the tables, which, like all tables, is set for four people. However, the fourth place setting is not cleared away. The adults were greeted with champagne, our son received nothing. We order the Valentine's menu with 4 courses and a portion of fries. There are no children's meals, so we ordered two beers and an apple spritzer for our 4-year-old son. The 4! However, wine glasses and the additional place setting remain on the table. We had to create some space ourselves so that our son could look at books. After a while the appetizer arrives and I politely ask for our drinks. At some point they will even come. The portion of fries for our son was also brought. We wait another quarter of an hour for the soup and I ask that the following courses be brought a little earlier and refer to our son. Finally, they put a single dessert on the table and are surprised that we haven't gotten that far yet. Besides, we each ordered the same thing. Our two main courses were probably brought to the couple at the next table, who probably didn't come to eat until an hour after us. They had also ordered the menu. Instead of another ordered beer and a cola, someone brings us still water, then takes it back and comes with the beer and the cola, but leaves the empty beer glass on the table! The main course finally arrives at 7:55 p.m. We've been in the restaurant for 1.5 hours now and I ask you again to hurry up, always pointing out that we've been here with a 4-year-old since 6:15 p.m sit. Finally, at 8:45 p.m., I was annoyed and ordered the bill. I said I wanted to pay immediately. After I was told that dessert would be coming soon, I pointed out my three-time request that our son's age be taken into account. Finally the slick waiter says what he should do with the dessert. He has to throw it away now. But this wasn't true either! Shortly before, from the "open kitchen" 3 meters away, one could literally hear: "What a bastard here, everyone's licking my ass...! Now I have to make 11 more desserts!" So the desserts hadn't even been made yet! We were then offered to bring the dessert to our room! They didn't even realize that we came into the restaurant with wet jackets and umbrellas and not from the warm, dry hotel. But you can forget that after more than 2.5 hours. I paid, including dessert, and it was the first time I didn't leave a tip. The evening was certainly not worth €137. The food was good, but trying to pee with the grown-ups and having such a mess is just not possible. Various others at the tables around us also had this experience. The coolest thing was our son, who spent the whole time looking at books and doing puzzles. We certainly weren't annoyed by him. In the meantime, a very nice waitress made a quick trip to the bar and he got a shot glass with juice. We definitely won't be going to this store again, the service is certainly better at the chip shop around the corner!

We celebrated my mother's 75th birthday at Oscars. As soon as we arrived, the noise level was very high, and the company that was dining in the restaurant parallel to us had placed their drinks on our reserved table, so it took a moment before we could even move to the table. Most of the invited guests were over 70 and we were assigned a table with high chairs. Since there was a large company on site, it was no longer possible to change. While we were still eating, the neighboring tables dispersed and went back to the bar that was adjacent to our table. It quickly became so loud that we couldn't continue to talk and had to break off the party early. We pointed this out several times on site, but received no response other than an apology for the noise. The restaurant did not respond at all to a written response from us. We waited a long time for the food, some of it wasn't hot, but there was no response to that either. Never again!

A big WOW from us. Quality, taste and friendly, motivated employees rounded off our day. The next morning another 1a breakfast. Your herring salad is an insider tip. Unfortunately we traveled without Tupperware. :-).

It is not what one associates with the name Leica / Leitz. There is a lack of perfection, precision and quality. The food is basically good and quite good. But if you pay over 70 EUR for 2 people, you expect a lot more. No starter, dessert and no wine. When you enter the restaurant you are asked by a simple sign to wait to be shown to your seat. After 5 minutes of waiting, I see 3 service staff standing together and they are trying hard. My reservation via my own website cannot be found. After presenting the confirmation email, they explained that I had probably booked via the old reservation platform. Ah yes!? We were generously allowed to “choose” a table for two. This is so small that you can't even put the menus down. There are only 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Food is ok, although not served as ordered. Atmosphere is rather objectively cool. Too bright, wrong music for the evening. Paper buckets in the toilets are overflowing, towel paper is on the floor in the hallway. The dessert menu that was offered and requested was then forgotten again. Once is enough and the opportunity is lost. Price/performance doesn't fit at all and also reflects on the brand.

During my visit I had lunch with salad as a starter (okay), main course (good), dessert (very tasty!). The ambience was also good with the Leica concept and the history books on the tables. Not my cup of tea, but still interesting to see. For an ideal evaluation framework you would probably have to stop by in the evening.

Ich finde es sehr schade, daß Oskars nicht das Level an Service bringt, den ein Restaurant in der Kategorie und Preisklasse suggeriert! Wir hatten Freunde zu einem gemeinsamen Abendessen eingeladen und einen Tisch reserviert. Nach der Ankunft wurde uns mitgeteilt, das diese Tische nicht zur Verfügung stehen würden wegen einer Firmen Veranstaltung....... Weiter ging's dann mit wirklich schlechtem Service am Gast. Ewig lange gesessen ohne Service. Die Bitte die extrem kühl eingestellte Klimaanlage runter zu drehen konnte nicht gelöst werden. Die Krönung war dann, das auf einmal beide Kaffeemaschinen defekt seien und es keinen Kaffee oder Cappuccino geben würde..... Ein löslicher Kaffee wurde angeboten, was jedoch pures Kaffeepulver war. Fazit: Das geht deutlich besser und wenn ich die Kommentare hier so lese, dann bin und war nicht der Einzige mit den Eindrücken.

Frühstück am ersten Weihnachtstag war sehr schlecht und die Servicemitarbeiterin "U..." komplett unfreundlich und motzig. Einmal und nie wieder. Glutenfreie Brötchen wurden in der Mikrowelle "aufgebacken" weil wir es hätten anmelden müssen. Das hatten wir zwar gemacht, aber das war "U" egal. Anstatt zu sagen, dass wir 20 Minuten auf die Brötchen warten müssen, hat man auf die schnelle die Mikrowelle genutzt. Somit hatten meine Kinder anstatt Brötchen harte "Steine". Danke für nichts

Frühstück war super. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am 24.12 zum Abendessen. Das Restaurant bot ein schönes 3 oder 4 Gängemenü an. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Super Frühstücksbuffet und Service. Kann man rundherum empfehlen.

Was erwartet man in ein Restaurant inkludiert mit ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Ich war sehr enttäuscht über die sehr kleine Auswahl an Gerichten was eigentlich alles nur mit Wildtier bestand. SCHADE ! Ein Edelburger aus Rind sollte eigentlich Standard sein. Nein auch hier nur ein Wildburger :( Mittags gibt es jedoch ein Burger mit Rind....muss man nicht verstehen. .. Positiv ist die Kürbiscreme Suppe hier 5 Sterne! Schade ist auch am Samstag Abend kein Longdrinks kein Barkeeper.... Positiv ist jedoch das Frühstück - 4 Sterne. Mein Resümee ist, Personal sehr Freundlich. Jedoch ist eine Menge Luft nach oben offen.... Z.B. manche Stühle sehen sehr unangenehm aus

Oh, das war ein sehr schöner Abend! Rund zwanzig internationale Gäste saßen sehr entspannt, wurden vorbildlich bedient und haben sehr gut gegessen: Das wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben: Danke dafür!

Netter und guter Service und gutes Essen.

Sehr netter Service, sogar in der Halbpension spontan eine kleine Änderung wegen Unverträglichkeiten möglich ohne Diskussion. Hervorragend! Das Essen war sehr lecker und kreativ. Nettes Ambiente. Preise sind sehr angemessen für die Qualität. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Waren als Hotelgäste dort Frühstücken. Alles bestens. Das Personal hat obwohl wegen Krankheit völlig unterbesetzt alles mögliche getan damit es den Gästen an nichts fehlt. Hat natürlich alles etwas länger gedauert.

餐點很好吃，如果住宿在Vienna House by Wyndham Ernst Leitz Wetzlar，不想開車到別的地方晚餐，可以考慮這裡。但是等候時間稍長，可能是服務人員人手不足。點餐、結帳都等了一陣子。

Passt, gut geeignet für Geschäftsessen, privat würde ich das Restaurant auf Grund der Lage ausserhalb Wetzlsr nicht besuchen.

Am Espresso muß noch gearbeitet werden, der kam in großen Kaffeetasse... Essen phantastisch, service sehr freundlich.

Sehr nettes und aufmerkames Personal. Frühstück ist reichhaltig und gut. Gute Brötchen! Abendessen wird schön angemacht und von der Idee gut und lecker. Saucen schmecken etwas künstlich! Dessert lecker, aber auch hier kann man manchmal geschmacklich nicht genau feststellen, was es sein soll!

Tolles Essen, aber der völlig überforderte Service hat es auch dieses Mal reingerissen. Sehr schade...

Es gibt nichts was es nicht gibt am Frühstücks Buffet

Wahnsinn! Unbedingt hin. Das Essen ist ein Traum. Handfest jedoch sehr modern und mega Lecker. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls richtig Schick. Am Leitz-Park direkt am Hotel Vienna. Die Gegend ist in Wetzlar der neue Hotspot. Da passt das Oskars, benannt nach Oskar Barnack (Erfinder der ersten Kleinbildkamera), hervorragend rein. Hin, genießen und verweilen. Point of Interest In Wetzlar.

Mehr Schein als sein. Das Rehfilet war üppig aber leider nicht gut. Die Beilage, Wurzelgemüsse, war zu einem Klumpen verkocht. Der Service reagierte nur auf Nachfrage. Auch wurde nicht gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hat...warum wohl...? Schade, da das Ambiente okay ist.

Nachtrag: Mittlerweile war ich insges. 4 x da - zuletzt mit 8 Personen - und mit jedem Mal nahm die Qualität insgesamt ab, sowohl beim Essen als auch beim Service. Zu wenig aber sehr freundliches Personal, das überlastet ist, ein kompliziertes Abrechnungssystem, lange Wartezeiten und Erinnerungen, teilweise gutes, teilweise ungewürztes Essen. Leider nichts, was bei meinen Freunden Begeisterung hervorgerufen hat. Schade, da die Location wirklich schön ist. Besuch am 01.03.23: Service sehr freundlich, Essen superlecker, ein guter Wein und Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür, keine langen Wartezeiten - dazu sehr gute regionale Produkte und einfallsreiche Kreationen: Perfekt, was will man mehr! Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist durchaus okay.

Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücks Buffets. Es war alles sehr lecker, gehen wir bestimmt wieder hin.

Essen war gut. Personal sehr freundlich, aber es hat mehrmals, das zuordnen von Besteck und Speisen, an den richtigen Tisch nicht geklappt. Nur unter Mithilfe der Gäste kam alles anden richtigen Tisch. Das Ambiente sehr schön.

Beruhigende elegante Ambiente. Mittags Speisekarte etwas zu eingeschränkt. Das Essen war sehr gut, aber preiswert nicht, schon ziemlich überteuert. Service nicht hektisch, hätte aber mehr Tempo vertragen können.

Wir waren am Samstag in ihrem Restaurant. Wir haben dort einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Ein tolles Ambiente mit hervorragendem Essen. Da wir unseren nächsten Besuch schon ins Auge gefasst haben, gestatten Sie mir trotzdem 3 Anmerkungen. 1. Wer ist bei Ihnen für den Dienstplan verantwortlich? Wie kann man eine Bedienung für 3 Aufgabenbereiche ( Empfang – Kellner – Barkeeper) einsetzen? Man hätte der armen Dame Rollschuhe anziehen können und sie wäre trotzdem oftmals zu spät gewesen. 2. Bei der Oberflächenstruktur der „Zweier-Tische“ ist der Verzicht auf Unterlagen sehr mutig. Schon nach wenigen Minuten war unser Tisch mit Wasserflecken übersät. Man sieht sich genötigt laufend mit der Serviette zu polieren. 3. Das Porterhouse-Steak auf einem Holzbrett zu servieren ist optisch ein Gag. Der Geschmack war sehr gut. Die Freude wird etwas durch den Kampf mit den Abmessungen des kleinen Brettchens getrübt. Hier fällt oder läuft schon mal was runter (dann siehe Anmerkung 2). Ein schöner Teller wäre mir lieber.

Super Restaurant , Nette Bedienung, gut beraten worden mit dem Wein und wir sind alle satt geworden. Eins noch, tolles Dessert.

Erstklassiges essen, super Service, es lohnt sich immer wieder dort essen zu gehen.

Am 30.12.2022 waren wir als Pärchen im Oskars zu Gast. Gleich zu Beginn fiel auf, dass zu wenig Personal für das gesamte Restaurant eingeteilt ist. Bis wir zum Tisch begleitet wurden, sind bereits 15 min. vergangen. Die Wartezeiten zogen sich durch den Abend. Das Essen war für die Preise unterdurchschnittlich. Zudem wurde uns beim Bestellen keine der Beilagen vorgeschlagen. Ansonsten ist das Ambiente schön.

Wir waren bereits mehrmals dort. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, das Personal freundlich. Wenn man die Qualität der Produkte zugrunde legt, ist das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis durchaus völlig angemessen. Wechselnde Speisekarte
