Absolutely the best kebab I've had in a long time. Super friendly and always cheerful staff. Even the wait isn't a problem here, because you're rewarded with a great kebab. Especially the freshness of the ingredients and the variety with lemon zest and pomegranate. Simply superb.

I bought a doner kebab box here with a colleague earlier, and we were both really disappointed. The box itself wasn't particularly big; on top of that, it contained almost 50% salad, a lot of dry rice, and very little meat and sauce. This made the box taste like a vegetable bowl, which I didn't really like. For €6.90, I really expected more. So far, I've only been to the Nuremberg branch, and I have to say I'll be more likely to go back there in the future. It's a shame—I really expected more.

The chicken doner with vegetables is great, fresh vegetables and good sauces! The staff is also friendly and quick. I'll definitely be back :)

I've eaten a lot of kebabs in my life. But this one (with veal) was truly the best. Something different. The only thing is that the music in the shop is a bit too loud. But that's perhaps a matter of taste.

I found the staff quite unfriendly. I also don't understand the point of wearing gloves when preparing food, taking payment, carrying utensils from right to left, and then again when preparing the food, wearing the same gloves. The kebab was OK, but the yellow mayo sauce didn't taste good.

Extremely rude behavior...... don't even listen what the customer is wanting........the main trick is to give only salad with very less chicken in the döner(even in special döner also)......thinking they are the most popular döner shop with extreme hype.......

This is probably the second-best kebab I’ve had at this restaurant. It’s very popular and gets a lot of customers, but luckily the staff prepare the food quickly. The kebab is truly excellent and delicious, with fresh and tasty meat and vegetables. Highly recommended!

The food is good, but the service must be cleaner, with the same hand collecting money the cashier brought more bread for staff and carried and touched them...and everyone knows onions without lids will absorb all viruses 🦠 so flys everywhere but the are just so fast don't care about clean food to get money... hire people who know English too 😒

A definite recommendation. The special kebab is incredibly delicious and was truly filling on August 17, 2025. The location is perfect for a quick stopover if you're passing through on the A73 or A3! Parking is available downstairs near the "E-Werk" (electricity plant).

A kebab for anyone who's a true marketing victim. First, the positive: pomegranate seeds, lemon juice, and mint on the kebab! Yay! That's about it, unfortunately. The meat is of the cheapest quality, the bread simply from a wholesaler. Almost every other kebab shop in Erlangen makes delicious bread (including durum bread) in-house. But here they simply serve ready-made bread that tastes of nothing. The service is abysmal; you get insulted if you order vegetarian ("As a man, you should eat meat"), and on top of that, the waits are very, very long. Everything is marketed to look great, but there's nothing behind it. No substance, no taste, terrible service. Never eat here!

The meat itself was generally good, but the "original" mix wasn't to my taste. But everyone else really enjoyed it. If you want a different kind of kebab experience, you should definitely try it.

Original Berliner Döner in Erlangen is hands-down the best spot for authentic Döner. Flavor-packed, fresh, and satisfying every time. Bonus points for offering a tasty vegetarian option. Place to eat in or take away. A must-visit for Döner lovers in the area.

I do not understand the hype of this Döner. Döner, Dürum or Box, they are all full of veggies and sauce. I hardly see any meat in the dishes. The Hähnchen Gemüse Döner is full of Gemüse. One struggles to find chicken in it. I do not want to promote any other Döner shops here but I know better Döner places in Erlangen. This place is full of unnecessary loud techno music and a pure marketing gig. Google wants me to add photos. Do you take pictures when you are utterly disappointed?

Dönerspiese schauen sehr lecker aus. Wartezeit ca 15 Minuten, ist mir zu lange für einen Döner (es waren nur 3 Leute im Laden) Den Döner fande ich langweilig im Geschmack, vom Fleisch nichts geschmeckt, die Zitrone hat einfach alles über säuert. Somit hat man nichts anderes geschmeckt, außer kurz den Rucola.

I don’t know what the hype is about it’s always crowded. I have been here so many times and have tried so many other variety of dishes and was always disappointed. They are actually fooling us because there is hardly any meat in the food. The doner is full of sauce and veggies. I am never going there again.

Apparently this place is “famous,” but I honestly don’t see why. I’ve given it multiple chances, tried different dishes, and every single time it’s been a letdown. The doner is basically sauce + salad with a tiny hint of meat. Feels like we’re just being fooled. Never again.

I got the wrap this time, but I almost think it tastes better in bread. The kebab tasted good. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't my cup of tea: The music was extremely loud—techno or something similar—so it was almost impossible to have a conversation. There's no restroom, and I didn't see the tables being wiped down. At least there are wet wipes available for cleaning your hands. Not suitable for eating in, I'd rather takeout.

Yaprak doner is no longer sold. The quality has declined. Lovers of minced meat doner can eat it.

The kebab itself is generously portioned, but they put so much sauce on it that it tastes like nothing else. The service is in such a hurry that you can barely understand what they're asking you. The atmosphere, due to the type and volume of the music, seems more like a nightclub than a restaurant. It's impossible to have a conversation inside.

The Original Berlin Döner in Erlangen is simply fantastic! Super tasty, fresh ingredients, and really generous portions for the price – you'll definitely be full. My only minor criticism: the soft drinks (Coke, Fanta, etc.) are only available in 0.25-liter servings, which could be a bit larger. Still, absolutely recommended – I'll definitely be back!

Very tasty, always fresh, and if you don't want meat, you can often avoid long lines. Unfortunately, it's gotten a bit more expensive, but it's so delicious that I still won't look for another regular kebab shop.

A good, modern, slightly greasy kebab. The staff are great and always friendly. However, the shop in Erlangen has a rather unloving and cold interior, making it uninviting to eat in, in my opinion. Update: For me, the steak kebab is the best kebab I've had in decades ❤️❤️❤️

An absolute insider tip for true indulgence! What can I say – this was by far one of the best kebabs I've ever eaten! The bread was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The meat: perfectly seasoned, super juicy. And then the selection of toppings! Pomegranate seeds, feta, jalapeños, fresh herbs – a true taste experience. Add an ice-cold ayran – it doesn't get any better! You can tell that they put love and quality into their work here. The portion was huge, the value for money was excellent. Best kebab Is very polite and friendly

The kebab was incredibly delicious. The sauces, the meat, the bread, and the vegetables were all top-notch. However, the atmosphere isn't great. Customers feel like they've been intentionally made uncomfortable so they don't stay long. The music is very loud. There's no room under the table for your legs because the table legs are made of Coke crates. The table I ate at was also dirty. Fortunately, there were plenty of wet wipes available for use.

I've never seen so much grease and such poorly packaged tortillas in a kebab shop. If you want to be called a Berliner Döner, I recommend you change your staff, because it's nothing like Nuremberg. The staff is racist, by the way. I don't recommend it. ;)

I had the special doner kebab, but I got it without feta cheese. Two people in front of me also got their special without cheese. I think there's a certain pattern to this, unfortunately. The taste was okay. Fresh ingredients. But unfortunately, I didn't get what I paid for.

The place was really packed in the evening, but the service was really quick. I had the Berliner Special, but I was really disappointed. There was too little meat and the typical doner meat flavor was missing. They didn't skimp on the sauces, but it's also a huge mess to eat. Purely in terms of taste, it's below average, but the price is okay. My friend had the doner kebab plate, which I can definitely recommend. The individual components are more prominent. The red cabbage, for example, is world-class! Unfortunately, there are no restrooms, and the atmosphere inside is standard doner kebab shop.

Probably the hottest kebab shop in Erlangen right now. Tested and approved. You can easily stand in line here. That says it all. The kebabs are good to very good. You don't see a meat spit with vegetables every day. Four or five people are busy behind the counter, and things get accordingly busy. Orders are processed every minute and in unison. Sauces are squirted all over the place. Orders and cleanliness are a bit lacking, hence one point deducted. The shop could also use a bit more hygiene.

I received a chili cheese kebab that was generously filled with meat, but the problem was that the meat was too dry because it had been sitting in the drip tray for a long time.

The beef kebab was delicious. From payment to serving, the food was served very quickly. When I asked for a receipt, I wasn't given one and was given strange looks. Unfortunately, there wasn't a printer for that either. Overall, it was very nice there, and everyone was very nice.

Unfortunately, the employees are very unprofessional and take it upon themselves to judge their female customers based on their appearance, simply because they think their language isn't understood. To explicitly tell a female customer in Kurdish (and that's putting it very nicely) that they're dressed too revealingly is an absolute disgrace and has no place in a kebab shop. This was honestly one of the best döners I’ve ever had. The pomegranate in it was such a nice touch. If you’re planning to use Neotaste, just make sure to let them know right when you order. Also, surprisingly, some of the staff speak Persian.

Well, as a Berliner, I had business there. And the meat is transported from Berlin all the way there. I pay close attention to where the meat comes from. And since I know the producer, I had no problem eating there. About the kebab itself: it's one of the best kebabs I've ever eaten!! The service is top-notch, the price is top-notch, the meat tastes amazing, and the ingredients are amazing!

Update: Unfortunately, the doner now tastes completely acidic. It's as easy as it came, it's gone. In my opinion, the sauce recipe definitely needs to be revised. Finally, a good doner in Erlangen. However, I've had better doner in Berlin. Still, it's better than the Franconian slops. Maybe people here are finally learning that doner can be different. However, the line is still endless, even three weeks after opening.

After the many positive reviews with great expectations, I tried the original Berlin kebab today with everything. Unfortunately for me this salad and sauce sandwich has nothing to do with a kebab. The meat is not tasty and the “doner kebab” looks more like a bowl than a real kebab. No recommendation from me.

When we were there and ordered a kebab plate, the good kebab man put a little more meat on it than usual. Otherwise, as always, service etc. everything was great and the kebab was a real taste explosion. Recommendation goes out!!
