Were there for the first time at the weekend. Our companions have already been there twice and have been totally thrilled so far. The atmosphere is very, very nice and very cozy. We had 2 starters which were also very tasty. However, we apparently were forgotten after that. After almost 1 1/4 hours we asked. It said that according to their computer it was only a 20 minute wait... For dessert I had the two types of mousse. But what was served to me didn't work at all. Instead of white mousse, in my opinion, there was something pudding-like (looked like lumps), and something dark underneath. A mousse is definitely something different for me. I asked the nice employee about it and said that I didn't order this. She took it back with her because I had something “different” in mind. When we asked for the bill, we were very “generously” told that they hadn’t charged for the dessert because it didn’t meet my expectations. The second reason - which I actually found outrageous - was because we had to wait so long. Seriously? Perhaps a little more sensitivity could have been shown here (coffee or other drink on the house). Overall, it wasn't worth driving over 50 km.

I was here for the first time, the service is really good and leaves nothing to be desired. Basically, I liked the ambience and atmosphere in the restaurant, but I did find the plastic plants a bit off-putting, so you can swap them out for something real green. I also liked the starters and there was a good variety so that everyone could find what they were looking for. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the main course, fried eggs are convenience, schnitzel is convenience. My main course "Müller's pork meat" priced at almost €29, the portion size can be expanded and is not sufficient. With the burgers at the next table for €20, we noticed that people weren't happy with the portion size either. The dessert variation was very good and tasted great, but at just under €10 it was definitely a bit cheeky. Therefore if I could give it 2.5/5⭐️

Quaint, tasty, friendly staff and good value for money! (as of 2022) Unfortunately, I have to add that my husband and I, as cyclists, wanted to stop there to have something to drink. The male waitress that day pointed out to us that we could order something, but that we should please not wait because the seats should be freed up again for people “who also want something to eat”. However, the beer garden was completely empty except for 2 other couples. We didn’t quite understand why exactly our space should “be free again quickly”. But we also had the feeling that we were unwanted because we didn't want to eat anything. So even after a drink we drove on straight away. Too bad.

Are here on a weekday evening. Food was tremendous and service from our waitress Michelle was perfect and to our relief her English was superb unlike our German! Food was cooked to perfection and was delicious! Well done!!

I give it 5 stars because we felt really comfortable and had a lovely evening. The ambience is absolutely harmonious and consistently kept in the mill style. The service was very nice and considering the lady hadn't been there long, she did a good job. The food lacked finesse and depth here and there - there was still room for improvement. The food used was all of good quality, fresh and predominantly regional. Overall, a positive conclusion and also worth a second visit.

Today we went on a very nice hike with our dog school. 10 dogs and 17 people. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take a break at the Ophover Mill because they didn't want so many dogs there. That's why I won't visit this restaurant without a dog.

Hello, it was our first time here for breakfast, we give it 4 stars, but we give the supposedly warm food a rating of minus two stars, because the goulash was first In our opinion the can had a lot of fat. Overall, the supposedly warm food was even less than lukewarm. That kind of thing really puts people off coming back.

Enjoyed the breakfast buffet there in very nice surroundings. The buffet is very extensive and beautifully presented and there is something for every taste. And, importantly, everything we tried was delicious. The service was attentive, friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back to try the other delicacies from the buffet that we didn't manage to try this time.

We celebrated a wedding here. The food is very varied. There are classic German dishes and there was currently an extra oriental menu. Everyone enjoyed it very much. The Mühlenhappen appetizer was also great! There was also something for the children!

I've eaten there a few times with my family and we've always been happy with everything. Last time we had breakfast followed by a brunch buffet and I can say that we were all so full after breakfast that we couldn't have much brunch anymore. There was a very large selection and something for every taste. Very tasty and you can recommend it without a guilty conscience. I deliberately didn't make any food recommendations because tastes are different and if you want to find a fly in the ointment, you'll find one. A very nice atmosphere and very nice service. There is also plenty of space both inside and outside. Ashtrays are available outside for smokers. The existing lake invites you to take a walk after dinner. However, I heard that you now have to pay for parking, which I find less nice. Despite everything, highly recommended and I will definitely come back. A thumbs up rating from me. 👍👍👍

Very nice place to stay. Nice, young staff. High quality, surprising cuisine. The notice that the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. would have saved us from having to go home without dessert. We only reserved the table at 8:30 p.m.

Beautiful old mill on a lake in the middle of Wegberg! Nice terrace, nice interior and very nice large covered courtyard, very nice staff and very tasty food with a good price-performance ratio!

My partner and I each ordered a Mühlenberg (price: €19.70 per person). The court was a complete disaster: Instead of a burger it was a thick one Meatball was served, which was difficult to split even with great effort with a knife. The flesh was gray and dry. According to the card, a fried egg was part of the composition. The egg was hard as cardboard and cold. I suspect the dish has been sitting for a long time and was warmed up in the microwave before serving. As an equivalent, the very friendly service staff offered us a coffee on the house, but we declined. Conclusion: The great ambience was put into perspective by the epicurean catastrophe. A pity!

Went there for the potato pancake buffet allyoucaneat. Anyone who likes potato pancakes with that certain something extra is in good hands here. Will be there again next time (every third Thursday of the month, excluding public holidays). Service extremely good, attentive and fast.

I have always been very enthusiastic about the mill in the past. Unfortunately, the last family celebration didn't go so well. The last few times we always had the lower area completely to ourselves and so did the buffet there. This time the mill had added a table with other guests. One of our guests didn't notice this and asked these guests not to go to "our buffet" because the host hadn't opened it yet. Nobody was angry, not even the other guests; it was a misunderstanding. Then the waitress came and verbally attacked our host, a frail 80-year-old, in front of everyone present, and in a tone that was completely inappropriate. The host had nothing to do with the situation at all! And the situation had already been resolved. This behavior was simply abnormal because of the exaggerated reaction, which, since everything had already been taken care of, was only capable of humiliating and schooling the host. I can understand that the mill had too few staff that day (almost 30 minutes for drinks, so that guests started ordering the drink after that) and perhaps their nerves were a bit frayed, but I still have that kind of behavior never got there. Under all guns. Still 4* because hopefully it remains a unique experience.

No agreement, long waiting times, you even get cake and coffee at the table at such a time delay that the drink is already cold when the cake arrives. But you can still work on that with new staff. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the owner. On the occasion of a family celebration, the food was served cold. The fillet was tough. Our complaint was ignored with a certain arrogance. Nothing like this has ever happened before. This means that it will be our last visit to the Ophover Mill.

Food was excellent and was constantly replenished (buffet) We definitely have to mention the waiter who served us, a relaxed guy and above all very attentive, we had a lot of fun with him, especially since he was also very quick-witted. However, you should reconsider the escape door to the outside, which was used by the smokers, then into the lock and couldn't be opened from the outside, so someone had to constantly open it. If a celebration is taking place there, you should at least find a way to open the door from the outside during this time. Otherwise, as already mentioned, everything was great.

The schnitzel itself was very dry and, to be honest, didn't seem like it was an original monastery pig. Already had a few and this was far from it. The fried eggs were either pre-fried and kept warm or ready-made fried eggs directly from the supplier. Potatoes were ok, just quite fatty. Bacon was ok. All in all, I didn't think this dish was worth the price.

We have been eating there for years and had our wedding celebration there too, everything was very well prepared by the boss and the staff. The planning of the food for the celebration was great with a large selection. The food there is always great and tastes very good and worth every cent. The rooms are large and well furnished, and in summer you can also sit outside and enjoy the sun Large parking lot in front of the mill.

Ganz hübsch hier, Ambiente und Lage sind gut. War schon recht oft hier, zum Mittag, Abend und zuletzt zum Kaffee und Kuchen. Zwei Sterne Abzug weil die Ophover Mühle noch nicht in der Gegenwart angekommen ist: Milchalternativen (Hafermilch, Sojamilch, Mandelmilch) und vegane Speisen sind hier fremd. Personal ignoriert einen gerne im ersten Moment, wenn man zur Türe hineinkommt und freundlich Hallo sagt.

Das Ambiente ist urig und sehr gemütlich gestaltet. Die Mühle liegt direkt an einem kleinen See, wo man nach dem Essen schön spazieren kann. Das Essen ist super! Ich hatte die Mühlenhappen - eine Art Tapas, sehr abwechslungsreich. Das Essen meiner Begleiter habe ich auch probiert. Alles köstlich! Das Haus braut selbst verschiedene Biersorten. Man kann sich schön durchprobieren: Das "Mühlenquartett" ist eine Probierplatte mit vier verschiedenen Bieren á 0,1 l. Super Idee! Jederzeit wieder!
