Very tasty sushi and friendly service! 5/5 stars Absolutely deserved!

A bitter disappointment – For the life of me, I can't understand the positive reviews! Why on earth does a restaurant that supposedly offers German cuisine serve sushi alongside pork rinds, sausage salad and schnitzel? This mixture is not only strange, but also completely unsuccessful. The service was simply a disaster - I've never experienced anything like it in my entire life! The waitress was completely unprofessional and seemed to have her thoughts everywhere except the guests. We were ignored even though the restaurant wasn't even full. The food also left a lot to be desired. Not only did we have to wait forever for our food, even after asking three times, the starter didn't come until the end. Two main courses were completely forgotten, so we had to share our sushi too. There was caviar on the “vegetarian” sushi! Why the hell is there fish on a vegetarian dish?! This is an absolute no-go. Nothing worked here and we definitely won't be coming back! It was nice that we got something sweet at the end.

With such great starters, who needs main courses? Honestly, I've been here several times and every time it's a pleasure. The waitresses are super friendly and really on the ball. The visit is worth it!

Please don't even try the Wiener Schnitzel. The meat is 2mm thick, the rest is just breading. The beer garden itself is beautifully laid out.

I ordered the Hanoi soup with beef, you should be ashamed of yourself for a whole bowl full of water and coriander for 17 euros. There will definitely never be better restaurants again. Strangely, I can't insert images

The food was super tasty and the service was really nice. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby. Unfortunately there are only four stars for the ambience because there is still a bit of room for improvement when it comes to the look. In particular, the colorful flashing light was a bit disturbing and didn't match the otherwise high level.

We were there for the first time today. The ambience of the restaurant is very appealing and makes you look forward to the meal. The waiters were very personable and quick to take orders. The children's starter arrived in 10 minutes and appeased their hungry mouths. The main course also arrived very quickly and was of the highest quality and taste. I think the pictures are convincing 😉. I'll be back and can highly recommend Onmai. Greetings 🤙🏼

Very tasty food. I had the kimchi salad, it wasn't too sour and tasted very good. The fish from the sushi and all other ingredients were very fresh and had a great taste. There are the well-known sushi varieties served on beautiful plates, as well as other Japanese specialties. The service is friendly and the decor is Asian playful.

The ambience of the restaurant is nice and modern; the staff very friendly and quick. Despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy, all food and drinks were delivered quite quickly. Unfortunately, the duck was a bit dry and the sushi rice was a bit hard, so unfortunately a point was deducted.

I'm not normally a fan of Asia. I came here because of the children. Very positively surprised by the food. Excellent food, also served in a very visually appealing way (fusion salad with tofu, grilled salmon with rice and salad). Even the children's sushi was delicious, although I never eat it normally. We will be back!

We have been here several times and can highly recommend the very nice and cozy restaurant. The food is freshly prepared and the taste is hard to beat. Despite the large selection, there are no long waiting times and the homemade lemonade is always a must😊

Really highly recommended. We'll definitely be back and continue to try out the menu, because with this selection you don't know what to order.

The plates were cleared away, even though there were still a few people eating. We should also pay quickly because we would like to take a break. Unfortunately we felt left out. They also advertise Google reviews with a 10% discount, which unfortunately isn't possible. Edit based on Onami's answer: The first ones were in your restaurant at 12:55 and ordered. That includes me too. The couple who came late also got a separate meal. I'm talking about the part that was there on time. Best regards

The Onami Sushi restaurant in Frankenthal offers an excellent selection of freshly prepared sushi rolls that are artfully presented and delicious in taste.
