Everything we have ordered there so far has always been very tasty.

We've ordered from there many times, and the last three times they've always delivered the wrong item, which is very annoying. Yesterday, we ordered two casseroles, and it says "bread comes with every casserole." We only had bread with one of them. My husband ordered a gyro plate with coleslaw, fries, and tzatziki. He didn't get coleslaw, but a mixed salad. He then got fries instead of rice, etc. I don't know, it's just annoying!!!!

The chef at the counter is patience and helpful as I cant speak German. Took effort to explain and recommend some highlight selection for me to consider. Thank you for the great food and experience!

Super delicious juicy pizza and the other food is well seasoned. Customer wishes come first. If you want to eat well, you will find plenty to feast on there.

We waited over an hour for our food... The fries were cold, even though it was only a 5-minute drive. We ordered two small fries and one large fries. Three small fries were delivered. The gyro ham casserole was very spicy.

We spontaneously visited here for the first time yesterday. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats. The first thing we noticed was the dirty table. Unfortunately, the others weren't much better. The placemats were sticky, and there were still food scraps on and around the table. But we sat down anyway because we were hungry and didn't want to search for something else. We then asked for the table to be wiped down. We were told that the table had just been wiped down, but that other guests had arrived in the meantime. Some people just didn't leave the place clean. This seemed to apply to the entire guest area, judging by the general appearance of the place. A little later, the table was wiped down. Luckily, we had disinfectant wipes with us, which we used just in case. We then placed our order and were able to get our drinks (cans) from the fridge ourselves. The food arrived quite quickly, and the portions were adequate. We ordered gyros baked with fries. It came with a salad plate. The meal cost €10, plus a 0.33l can of soda for €2.50. That was okay, too. The food was served very hot in a casserole dish. Unfortunately, the cheese and meat were a bit dark in places, but everything was still just about right. We didn't notice much of the Metaxa sauce that came with the dish. It was basically just the juices from the gyro that had run into the dish during the baking process. Additionally, the dish was very, very salty. We also complained about this when he asked if we enjoyed it. I don't know if it was the owner, but he said that couldn't be right. I guess he doesn't try the food himself. We didn't finish one portion either, not because it was too much, but for the reason mentioned above. I then went to the restroom afterward. As expected, the condition of the guest area was reflected there. A urinal was broken, as was the paper towel dispenser. They were lying around. As for cleanliness, well, there were probably a few guests before me who didn't leave the area clean either. Our conclusion is that we certainly won't be going there again. The portions and prices were okay, but the cleanliness, ambiance, and the food itself, as described here, left a lot to be desired. Therefore, only 2 stars for the portions and prices.

Very good food not far from the center!

This was actually always our favorite gyro place in Lübbecke, until today. It all started last week when we ordered a vegetarian casserole from their website because we wanted to save them the Lieferando costs. The description on the website didn't mention mushrooms. My girlfriend is allergic, and luckily I saw her early, otherwise she would have ended up in the hospital. We called, and the man on the phone said they'd make it right next time. Ordered again today: a bifteki pita, a pasta casserole with hollandaise, and a köfte dürüm. The meat on the pita was different from what we had a few weeks ago; it was more reddish on the inside, but that wasn't a big deal because it still tasted good. The dürüm had everything but köfte on it; the meat was more like firm chicken. When I mentioned it on the phone, the man said it was because everyone prepares it differently. But it had neither the color, shape, taste, nor consistency of kofte. It was simply grilled pieces of white meat. Pretty much everything went wrong with the casserole: overcooked pasta, no sauce, no salt, and no bread, even though it was in the description. The man on the phone said we'd ordered Metaxa and that was why it was like that. Our order clearly stated hollandaise. The pasta simply tasted like wobbly noodles in oil from a gyro. By the way, I called 10 minutes after picking it up. I paid €23, including tip, for such a disappointment, even though the owner knows me by now. No compensation for the bad casserole and the missing bread, no exchange, nothing was offered to us. They just said it couldn't be right, no questions, no apology. He wasn't exactly unfriendly, but not exactly friendly either. I can understand making a mistake when you're busy, but this was truly outrageous.

Actually, I've always been quite satisfied. Ordered two gyros today, and what can I say: They were really bad. It looked like they'd thrown together the last leftovers. Sorry, but that's the last time for now.

Just ordered and I have to admit the food is a 10/10 and the delivery guy is also very nice

The food was okay. The liver was a bit tough. The ambiance could use some updating (especially the restrooms). Unfortunately, we won't be going there again...

I am very disappointed and absolutely angry about this statement that I heard on the phone. I wanted to order Lahmacun, the 109 on the menu, and have it delivered. I was told that that was very little. You wouldn't have to drive out for that now, so I would have to order something else. Funny, the Sunday before that didn't seem to be a problem, my only order (the 109) came without any complaints. That's it for me. It's all just pure arrogance, and there's no mention of a minimum order value on the menu. I definitely “recommend” it. Never again.

At a time when we had to make do without our own kitchen, you not only provided us with your excellent food, but also made us feel welcome. The food was always fresh, prepared with love and simply delicious - from the classic souvlaki to the incredibly delicious pizzas. We particularly appreciate your kindness and the exceptional service, which has given us incredible relief during a stressful phase. This restaurant is not only a culinary experience, but also a place that is run with heart. As can be seen from other reviews, the portions are very large and the staff is very friendly. Compared to the price, it's a bit rarer to find something like this these days. The taste is very good. The meat is well seasoned but not overly seasoned. Salad nice and crispy fresh. Tzatziki was a bit salty but it balanced out perfectly with the meat. The fries didn't survive the way home quite as crispy (which is due to the slightly longer journey) but that didn't make them any worse and they also absorbed some of the meat's fat. The homemade bread for the pita was also very good. The light smoky aroma gave the pita even more flavor and was a treat for the palate. Basically full marks, everything is right here. 👍🏻

Very good shop. Gyros Pita was the best I had eaten in a few years. The portion size is very large and for the price you get more than expected here. The staff was also very friendly and received a warm welcome from everyone, even the driver who wanted to pick up a new delivery. I would definitely like to come by again at the next opportunity.

Sehr leckeres und preiswertes Essen. Das worauf es ankommt. Der Service ist Ausbau fähig und das Ambiente wie man sich einen Imbiss halt vorstellt. Leider ist es dort immer eher kalt bzw zieht es. Aber alles halb so wild.wer mehr erwartet muss in ein Restaurant gehen

This time we specifically ordered to be picked up because otherwise it always takes far too long and the food only arrives lukewarm/mushy. This time, however, it was disastrous. Pizza was not added even though it was ordered and paid for. When we called, we were supposed to come back and pick them up and get a bottle of Coke as compensation, but this wasn't the case either! Ordered Gyros Pita with extra meat and it felt like there was less meat on the pita! It was the last time I used to order there almost once a week. Today was the last time!!!!!

Food is delicious, staff is friendly. Sometimes the wait is really long, sometimes it's very quick. There are also rarely problems with meat, it can be grilled too much, then I have to eat meat with a little bit of coal, but it's still delicious.

Yesterday I ordered 2 Lahmacun with gyros. Nothing was ready when I arrived. When I got home after a 4 minute drive I ate the Lahmacun straight away. Unfortunately, the quality was very poor. Gyros tasted like nothing, everything was dripping and soggy. Thank you never again😞😞😞

We ordered a platter for two people (approx. €32) The food was very tasty and would have been enough for three to four people. In addition to plenty of meat, we were given fries, a large plate of rice, a very large salad and a bowl of tzatziki. The people who have eaten there several times asked for packaging material to pack up “the leftovers”. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Recommended/tasty and cheap.

Yesterday we ordered a kebab, a kebab box, a gyros pizza and a lahmacun for four people. The lahmacun was like cardboard. The employees were unfriendly and threw the food on the table. We didn't like the food. And 2/4 people had very serious margin problems. We won't order there again!!

Good morning, When we were looking for a Greek restaurant we first came across a restaurant in Levern, unfortunately we ordered something wrong on our first order, so we wanted to try it again, unfortunately it is on a well-deserved vacation. Since it was our wedding anniversary and we were visiting at the same time, we decided on Old Athens. After the negative reviews I was quite skeptical, but I have to say the three of us were very pleasantly surprised. The portions were quite large and it tasted very good. We didn't want minced meat from any kebab shop, we wanted delicious gyros and that's what you get here. Of course the prices now are not like they were in 2005 or 2017, but you get a good portion for that! We would be happy to come back, thank you very much (we may also have delivery delivered (if it is delivered to us)

Very disappointing! I ordered 3 sheets of pizza, and according to the menu, one sheet costs €26. With 4 extra ingredients we should have come to €86. However, the supplier asked for €108. When I asked for a bill he just gave me the menu. Since it was a birthday, I didn't want any stress at the door so I paid so my guests could eat. When things had calmed down a bit, I called and explained the situation. I was told that a sheet of pizza costs €35 when ordered by phone and not €26 like on the menu. After a short discussion, the boss relented and said that the driver would bring me back €20. Of course I never received this €20. I don't know if the driver pocketed the money or if it's a ploy to rip off customers at the door at inopportune moments, but we definitely won't be ordering here again!

Not my thing, but since all the restaurants had a lunch break and I had a long trip, the choice wasn't big. Need for improvement I know a lot of Greek snacks but this isn't one of my favorites. I'm sorry.

Have 2 pizzas Ordered it was the worst pizza I have eaten in my life, the dough was half raw but still burnt, a complete disaster, I will never order from the store again.

I ordered the 12 online (only gyros with onions), costs 11 euros and 9.20 on site. The disappointment is that the portion was much less of the meat and the coleslaw was much less. The 12 feeds 2 people, but this time it's only enough for one person. Often order multiple portions of 12. Next time I'll order locally again. It's a shame actually. Great food though.

Had a gyro plate that was very well filled. The gyros and salad were good but the fries were very dark and tasted like fat. I also ordered a cola that was warm, but after commenting, I immediately got a cold one. The snack bar doesn't invite you to linger because the location is very run down. In addition, card payment is not possible. As far as the price is concerned, it is relatively cheap

The second time I noticed that you were being cheated out of your change on purpose - or the cashier couldn't do the math. In any case, always be careful in this business. The fries are very small and nothing special here either. Service was very nice.

I just wanted to get a gyro plate. The opening times on Sundays are until 11 p.m. on the internet. At 9:54 p.m. I was no longer able to order online and no one answered the phone. I had to go that way anyway and drove past and the shop was closed shortly after 10, disappointing.

I often order via Lieferando for delivery and have always been very satisfied. I was there on Sunday and had something to take with me. Despite the many orders, the waiting time was short. The food was still very hot when we got home and of course very tasty. Keep it up!

I'm now finally giving up ordering it here. We have ordered from Old Athens many times, but any changes to the ingredients, such as rice instead of fries or extra ingredients on the pizza, are overlooked even though they are included in the bill. The pizza is either completely dry or even burnt. When we delivered it home, the driver didn't even have any change. It's different if you order on site, they make more effort and the food is good too. But unfortunately not recommended as a delivery service.

Meine Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant war in jeder Hinsicht großartig. Der Kundenservice war ausgezeichnet, da das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Die Lieferung erfolgte pünktlich ohne Verzögerung. Die Preise waren vernünftig und angemessen für die gebotene Qualität. Insgesamt ist es der ideale Ort für ein kulinarisches Erlebnis mit hervorragendem Kundenservice, pünktlicher Lieferung und fairen Preisen.

Immer gutes Essen , die Portionen sind sehr groß und sehr lecker.👍

Immer alles frisch und sehr Lecker

Wieder einmal hat es unendlich gedauert bis das Essen fertig war, dann waren anstatt dem bestellten Reis, wie bereits häufiger Pommes als Beilage dabei. Da es leider kein Einzelfall war, werden wir dort nicht mehr bestellen, da inzwischen auch die Preise drastisch angehoben wurden.

wenn ich die über Lieferando bestelle ist es günstiger um 3- 4 Euro ..

Kleiner Griechischer Imbiss mit gutem Essen. Wurde schnell und sehr freundlich bedient. Esser wurde ebenfalls schnell zubereitet. Perfekt für meine Mittagspause und definitiv eine Empfehlung wert!

Für mich hat sich das nun endgültig erledigt. Das auf dem Bild soll tatsächlich überbackenes Schweinefilet in Metaxasoße darstellen. Das Filet nicht von Sehnen befreit , Soße war ne dünne Plörre, vom Metaxa merkte man nichts . Trockener Salat ohne Dressing ! Pommes fast kalt . Mein Sohn hatte eigentlich großen Kotelett Teller , waren aber Schweinesteaks . Das Schnitzel meines Mannes war tot gekloppt und trocken .

Nach langer Zeit heute mal wieder bei Alt-Athen bestellt... Die Qualität vom Essen und die Lieferung waren dieses Mal echt unterirdisch! Das Essen war kalt und das Fleisch trocken. Das Fleisch und die Pommes vom bestellten Metaxateller lagen einzeln in der Termobox, weil die Verpackung nicht richtig verschlossen war. Knapp 70 Minuten Wartezeit auf einen Dienstag Abend sind doch schon etwas lange. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und werden in Zukunft woanders bestellen!

5/5 Sterne!!! Sehr nette Bedienung hinterm Tresen und vor allem wird das Essen sehr schnell zubereitet. Die Gyros Pita ist bestimmt das beste was sie da probieren können aufgrund des selbstgemachte Brot was draußen knusprig und innen weich ist. Einfach nur empfehlenswert 👍

Kleiner Imbiss mit griechischer Küche und zusätzlich Pizza und Burger; besonders gut war der frische Salat; sehr große Portionen, viel Fleisch (zu viel); Wasser schmeckte abgestanden; besonders gestört haben mich die vielen Fliegen im Gastraum... Personal war sehr freundlich

Ich schwöre dir machen denn geilsten lamacun dort . Lamacum kennt ja jeder mit Döner . Die machen aber denn lamacun mit Gyros und frische lamacun nie wie bei anderen die fertigen aus der Tüte . Von diesen lamacuns können gleich 2 Leute satt werden weil die so geil sind ehrlich . Sogar 10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sterne von mir

Kenn denn Laden jetzt mehr als 10 Jahren. Und komme immer gern oder hole mir et as zu essen. Wohne mittlerweile nicht mehr in Lübbecke aber hier komme ich gern zurück. Wer was anderes sagt der lügt. Gruß

Freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants ist das Essen dort nicht zu fettich.

Beste Gyros der Welt, Leute so gut wie dort gibt es nirgendwo, wer nicht probiert ist selber schuld !!!

Essen bestellt Fahrer war sehr schnell hier freundlich nett und das war sehr lecker hat super geschmeckt

Schlichter Griechenimbiss mit einem hauch von Flair. Das war ausreichend und günstig. Ist zu empfehlen, da ich am frühen Nachmittag keine geöffnete Lokalität gefunden habe.

Preis Leistung ist super. Wir bestellen regelmäßig Pita, Grillteller und Pizza und sind immer sehr zu Frieden. Vor allem der selbstgemachte Tzaziki ist mega köstlich und wird oft von uns geholt. Weiter so!

Zum parken sollte man den Gänsemarkt Parkplatz (1Std. kostenlos) nutzen. Eingangsbereich recht eng und man steht sofort vorm Tresen. Der hintere Bereich bietet Sitzplätze. Dort ist es aber recht dunkel. Mitarbeiter und Service freundlich. Bestellt zum dort essen. Gyros komplett, Pommes, Krautsalat, Zaziki, Feta. Für mich hätten es ruhig mehr Zwiebeln sein können. Und ich finde rote Zwiebeln sind für Gyros zu süß. Pommes waren knusprig. Krautsalat war okay. Zaziki hätte auch gerne etwas mehr sein können. Feta war okay. Das Gyros Fleisch war lecker, für mich etwas zu sehr zerkleinert und an manchen Stellen etwas knusprig. Für Gyros komplett und 1 Dose Cole 12,50€uro Sind die üblichen Preise.

Super leckeren Gyrosteller und Gyrosboxen gehabt.Das Fleisch ist extrem lecker.
