Cozy restaurant. The food and drink selection was diverse. The food was delicious and the service was great. However, it is advisable to reserve a table in advance. Absolutely recommended!

It was very pleasant, but too loud.

As soon as we entered, we were struck by the pleasant atmosphere and peace; we were kindly asked to sit at a table. Our order was taken quickly. As a greeting from the kitchen, we were served a very fresh salad with a delicious homemade dressing. The main courses were characterized by tender, juicy and well-seasoned meat. The staff very attentive and friendly. Our conclusion that Olympia is a noble Greek and we will come back on our next visit to Emsland.

We were there spontaneously at 6 p.m. on a Saturday and were lucky enough to get a table, although it was reserved for 7:30 p.m. Everything went really quickly, the staff were without exception friendly and accommodating and, despite the full restaurant, still had time for a quick exchange of words. Very personable, and the food was also impeccable. A small point deduction might be that you were sitting at a very small table, which is not necessarily pleasant when eating.

Our visit to the Olympia in Papenburg today was unfortunately very disappointing. After a long time we went there again as a group. Unfortunately, we weren't aware that the restaurant closes at 9 p.m. We didn't meet there until 8 p.m. and then everything had to happen very quickly... drinks were brought quickly, food had to be ordered quickly because the kitchen was closing. Because the whole visit there was so hectic and we weren't even asked if we wanted anything else to drink after 9 p.m., we quickly didn't feel welcome anymore! We were also very shocked by the extremely high prices on the menu. So, we are all aware that “eating out” is not free, but it is far too overpriced for the portions and the food served! For us it was the last visit there because we simply didn't feel welcome at all. In total we stayed there for 1 hour and 20 minutes. After that, our girls’ night was over! Unfortunately we don't have any further recommendations.

An excellent restaurant, for me the best Greek restaurant in Germany. As a Swiss citizen, I have lived in Germany for 40 years and eat out very often. Food quality, service and ambience are good. The food at Olympia in Papenburg was delicious! Never had such tender, juicy lamb fillet and the grilled octopus was first class. Vegetables and salad just as fresh and delicious. Plus super nice service and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Best Greek ever! Thank you for this thoroughly enjoyable evening in your restaurant. We will make our way from Bremen to Papenburg to eat at Olympia again.

Nice place Unfortunately, the Metaxa sauce in the dish was very poorly made. Too bad. I expected more, but apart from the salad and fries it wasn't enjoyable. Gyros gratinated, unfortunately it wasn't from the gyro skewer. Was just pork in sauce. My wife had a skewer that was unfortunately dry. We don't know that at all from Greece. Food was nicely prepared and looked really good on the plate, you can't say. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent Greek restaurant with a large beer garden. Highly recommended.

Very nice restaurant. The interior is decorated in white, beige, brown. There is a large aquarium inside. The drinks, starter, salad and main course were served very quickly. People asked if everything was okay and reorders of drinks were served quickly. When asked, the boss recommended the right wine for the fish dish “Poseidon” No. 67. The restaurant is very busy (almost all tables are occupied at 8 p.m.), the sanitary facilities are a bit old, but very clean. Thank you for the great service and food

As a starter there was a small salad that was anything but small. 😉 My gyros with Metaxa sauce and cheese gratinated were very nicely prepared and didn't swim in fat due to too much cheese. The service was very nice and attentive and where else can you get into conversation and not just be a paying guest? It all seemed very familiar.

The food was very good, the restaurant was a little noisy but it was also well filled. Unfortunately, reordering drinks only worked the third time we asked. Otherwise everything is fine, we'll go back.

Ordered vegetarian lasagne. Far too small to fill you up, there wasn't even a salad, which at a price of €19.90 was absolutely not appropriate. That was a disgrace.

The price list in front of the restaurant does not match the price list in the restaurant. These were 1-2€ higher. We chose the gyros plate. The salad beforehand was fresh and had a delicious dressing. The gyro was relatively small so you couldn't hold it with the forks. It didn't taste fresh either. Overall disappointing.

Four of us ate here yesterday and spontaneously got a table. 5 stars for the ambience: It is stylishly decorated, with an aquarium in the middle and there is said to be a great terrace 5 stars for the service: Polite, friendly and quick 5 stars for the food: From the starter to the main course, everything was great! The portions are large, fresh and hot. Simply great!

Yesterday we had dinner in the restaurant with 9 people. Everything was great! The service was top notch, the drinks came quickly, the food was delicious and we have absolutely nothing to complain about. Absolutely TOP! 👍 We felt very comfortable! Thank you for the great evening!

Had gyros which was quite tasteless, the tzatziki had to spice it up. Huge space, which quickly becomes noisy when full. The aquarium is beautiful and the service was also good.

The food was very tasty, the service was attentive and quick, and apparently really well organized. What we didn't like was the volume level, which was very high, which made communication difficult at times.

Well, this restaurant doesn't have much of the Greek anymore, gyros were too spicy, fries were bad, rice only tasted like tomato sauce, the meat skewer was rose, and the acoustics were way too loud.

Wir waren Freitagabend mit vorheriger Reservierung im Restaurant. Ist scheinbar Freitags auch recht gut gebucht! Der Service war super und das Essen war handwerklich top zubereitet. Ein wirkliches Erlebnis, qualitativ deutlich besser und vom klassischen Griechischen Restaurant weit entfernt. Wenn wir mal wieder in Papenburg sind, kommen wir garantiert wieder!

One of the best Greek restaurants I ever been in Germany.

We had already chosen the Olympia restaurant at home for a weekend trip to Papenburg. We were immediately positively surprised by the pleasant atmosphere and the staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The food was great, the portions were reasonable and the prices were well adjusted. Our full recommendation!!!

This was our first time ordering pick up and unfortunately we were very disappointed. Very small portions for a very large price. We had no less than 9 steakhouse fries in our bowl... It's a shame because the taste was really delicious, but when I found two sharp pieces of bone in the gyro in the children's plate, my appetite was gone! The pickup time was great at 30 minutes & everyone was friendly.

Well-organized and clean restaurant with friendly staff and good food. It was finished quickly and looked a bit like it came off the shelf. The free Quzo made the dish look nicer though :) I would definitely go there again.

Aus vorher gehenden Besuchen kann ich sagen das Service und Essen durchaus 5 Sterne 🌟 verdient haben. Waren am Samstag dort direkt zur Ladenöffnung, man hat uns zwar einen Tisch bieten können allerdings mit einem Zeitfenster von einer Stunde da eigentlich wäre dieser Tisch reserviert.Ob das nun negativ zu bewerten ist , muss für sich jeder selbst entscheiden. Reservierung ist also auf jedenfall Sinnvoll. Auf Spontane Gäste sind Sie nicht vorbereitet.

Essen zu teuer bzw für das Geld zu wenig . Personal sehr sehr fleißig und trotz des vielen Stressses freundlich und zuvorkommende . Deutlich besser als das Essen und die Preise

Bester Grieche hier in der Umgebung. Fleisch ist sehr lecker und die Teller sind nicht zu überladen, dass man am nächsten Tag 2 Kilo mehr an den Hüften hat.

Essen kam schnell und war gut. Mir persönlich war es sehr sehr laut. Eine Unterhaltung war nicht möglich.

Super Atmosphäre - guter Service und lecker Essen - am WE besser einen Platz reservieren

Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service vorbildlich. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert absolut empfehlenswert. Gerne wieder!

Eine sehr höfliche Bedienung, und generell alles sehr reibungslos und schneller Service. Die Portion war sehr reichhaltig. Für mich persönlich war das Gyros leider etwas zu trocken . Und die Softgetränke in 0,2 l etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber das darf natürlich jeder gerne selbst entscheiden. Dennoch würden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen .Dann würde ich einfach etwas anderes probieren 😀 die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte war sehr vielfältig.

Wir waren als Paar zusammen da hatten einen Tisch reserviert wir haben dann unser Essen bestellt leider wurde dann ein Bifteki geliefert welches nicht durch war auch beim 2 mal war es immer noch nicht durch somit haben wir den Laden verlassen da wir keinen Appetit mehr hatten. Außerdem war der Kellner sehr unfreundlich.

Nettes griechisches Restaurant. Es gibt auch noch andere mediterrane Speisen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Preise sind noch im normalen, oberen Bereich. Das Personal ist freundlich, aber wirkte bei der Bestellung etwas ungeduldig. Wir waren ohne Reservierung dort und es wurde prompt versucht, einen Tisch für 10 Personen zu organisieren, bzw. andere Tische etwas umzuplatzieren, damit wir zusammen sitzen konnten. Alles in Allem perfekt.

Essen war lecker, aber auch Recht ölig was bei der Portionsgröße immerhin zur Sätigung geführt hat, also eher kleine Portionen. Unverschämt fand ich dass bei Nachfrage nach 2 Scheiben extra Brot bei einer Vorspeise (2 Scheiben weißes Brot und aoili für 8€) beim Abkassieren extra berechnet werden sollte. Nach Diskussion wurde von diesem Aufpreis abgesehen.

Essen war ganz ok, Personal wirkte gestresst waren aber noch freundlich. Gyros war nicht doll gewürzt eher geschmacklos (wenig Zwiebeln dabei). Zaziki könnte noch ein bisschen mehr pfif haben. Bifteki könnte mehr Feta vertragen. Reis sehr Tomaten lastig und das Grillfleisch lau warm. Hatten schon in bessere griechische restaurant gegessen. Für den Preis der Gerichte könnte man mehr erwarten.

Sehr gemütliches griechisches Restaurant. Das Restaurant ist Sitlvoll gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Service des Servicepersonal ist sehr zuvorkommend und äußerst nett. Das Hauptgericht hat ebenfalls wunderbar geschmeckt. Kommen gern mal wieder vorbei.
