Above all, the food is great. Unfortunately the service is a bit inattentive. We've eaten here twice now. Each time it took 15 minutes plus before we could order. Every time we had to wave someone over, who couldn't take us and had to get someone. They could definitely sell more drinks if the service here was more attentive. Training the service staff is also difficult. I am allergic to chili. I also pointed that out. The problem came later when I discovered that chili was used in both the starter's sauce and the main course's vegetables. I expect that the waitress will enter such important information and pass it on to the kitchen. One of the sauces for the starter was wrong, but the chili mayo I ordered came with the main course anyway. The food is great, but for me every evening has ended in massive stomach problems thanks to allergies. Simply unsightly and a shame.

The plates are not only beautifully presented, but are also a visual highlight. The sushi is particularly worth mentioning – it was very tasty and served pleasantly warm. The service is quick and efficient, which makes the visit even more pleasant. It is advisable to reserve a table, especially in the evenings, as the restaurant is busy. Overall, Okami is a top restaurant, even if prices have increased slightly in recent months. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio remains fair and the experience is worth every cent.

In my opinion, the price-performance ratio doesn't really fit. The portions seem well sized considering the price, but the visual preparation of vegetables in narrow strips means that there is ultimately a lot of air on the plate. The meat content, on the other hand, was appropriate, although the quality was better. There is no particular highlight in terms of taste, especially because there is a lack of spice. Even dishes labeled as “very spicy” could definitely use more. The drinks prices can be seen as high compared to the rest of the catering industry. The service was friendly, but the ambience is not exceptional.

The atmosphere itself is very inviting, the service is friendly, but it is very loud and sometimes takes up to an hour when the restaurant is full until the food is served. It's a shame when, despite asking, they bring wasabi instead of peanut sauce. The prices have also skyrocketed and you can easily pay €90-100 for two or three people.

Fantastic sushi, delicious sauces and a cozy atmosphere make this restaurant a real highlight. The service is always friendly and the iced teas are a delight - especially the Yuzu Swee! Absolutely recommended!

The menu offers a wide selection. Since we were eating in the evening, there were no menus. I enjoyed my meal and it was sufficient, but nothing extraordinary. I didn't taste the ginger and chili. It wasn't spicy in any way. We then had something sharpened up. But that wasn't spicy either. My friend asked if she could have an appetizer without meat. It was affirmed. Small spring rolls then arrived, which had nothing to do with the starter we ordered. The waitress then said that was just how it was for them. Could be mentioned beforehand. The service was friendly but not very experienced.

This restaurant is located in the city of Bensheim. The first impression bout it is very nice, super modern interior 👌🏻 and is good visited. So we didn't take a reservation and went there spontaneous with my cousin. As we walk in, to get a table at the inside (because the Terrasse was completely full), we are welcomed by a girl and got one. The menu was very big and we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat directly. We take a bit more time. One worker came the first time and we told her that we take more time....she came after 5 minutes again and we still didn't decide....she came a third time and we felt a bit pressured by choosing because she saw that we still looked in the menu...after that she ignores us and we felt as guest very uncomfortable at this time. When we make ourselves known, another girl comes and takes our order. She was kind and friendly. All other colleagues seem also nice to us. But one worker can destroy your work if the customer/guest feels uncomfortable and wants to leave. We gave it a chance and was impressed by the taste of the food. It was really good, delicious 😋 I will come again and hope to a better behave of this girl.

Very nice and modern atmosphere. Very great selection of delicious food and drinks, which is what you can expect given the prices. The service staff is very friendly and quick but still a bit unprofessional as they are sometimes not very familiar with their own menu and sometimes it seems a bit chaotic. For us, satisfaction still prevails and we would be happy to come back!

We have a table for two on site for dinner. Unfortunately the food was nothing. We both had stomach cramps and nausea two hours later. Also very overpriced. Just under €90 for two people (starter/main course and a drink each) is anything but humane. And the boss who cashed in at the end was totally unfriendly and unsympathetic! Never again!

For me this is one of the best restaurants in Bensheim. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, very fresh and the service is very friendly. I can definitely and truly recommend the Okami with a clear conscience.

The presentation of the food was also first class and showed the attention to detail that the Okami team shows. The service was outstanding and rounded off the entire evening perfectly. The staff was always attentive, friendly and extremely professional. Our waitress guided us through the menu with well-founded recommendations and was always there to help us with a smile. This excellent hospitality made our visit a completely successful experience. The restaurant's interior also deserves special praise. The modern yet comfortable seating, combined with pleasant lighting, creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. You can feel that a lot of value was placed on a well-thought-out ambience that offers guests a break from everyday life. Overall, Okami in Bensheim is an absolute highlight and a must for every gourmet. Here, outstanding cuisine meets first-class service and a wonderful ambience. I'm only reviewing the takeaway lunch menu and unfortunately it was subpar. Fried noodles with vegetables and egg were some of the worst I've ever had (see picture). The same dish can be found much better nearby! The noodles are also expensive. Sushi was really tasty. But somehow no sauce on it. Service was fine.

The two of us were there without any expectations. The service was fake friendly. The sushi was ok, the rice didn't taste good at all - way too sticky and tasteless. As a main course, the mango curry was very unimaginative. It lacked flavor to simply add coriander as a whole stick - more is more!! The men's toilet - broken except for the urinal. Two of the women's toilets were open and one was broken. Towels not replenished. The ambience in the restaurant is very tastefully decorated. However, we were there for the first and last time!!! Price performance is not good!

In my opinion the best restaurant for Asian food here in Bensheim. If you don't want coriander greens as a topping on your meal, you can cancel your order in advance!

Since we wanted to try something new again and had already passed this restaurant a few times, we decided to pay a visit. Ambience top, service top. Although the map, although structured at first glance, is confusing. After the starters comes sushi - with an explanation of what is what. But if you don't know much about Asian cuisine, you can't really tell the difference between what is a filling main course and what is a small starter. I think the owner wanted to avoid the "junk image" and therefore didn't print any images in order to stand out. But if you don't know your way around as a guest, you'll quickly get into trouble. Especially when two waitresses asked every 3 minutes - but very politely - whether we had already decided. A page later the main courses are advertised. Good in itself. Just sometimes a little confusing because from Japan to China you quickly have a Vietnamese dish. Everything was very tasty, but also a little confusing. Once we had fought through this jungle, the food came very quickly and was very tasty. Only the soy sauce, which serves as the base and wets everything, is a little too salty as a pure, spoonable leftover and you get the impression that this is intended to boost sales of the drinks a little. Conclusion: very nice atmosphere, very very very tasty food and attentive staff.

I don't think the food is worth the price, about 30% more expensive than elsewhere. Service - unqualified. It started when my drink and that of my table neighbor, Radler and Pils, were swapped. When the food was brought, only the food codes were called (e.g. "V9"). Who keeps that? The restaurant staff had no idea what each dish was called or who ordered what. Portions rather small, few valuable ingredients, in my opinion not good value for money. After dinner I wanted to order a Vietnamese beer for my colleague and I and asked for one. The young clueless waiter then asked, "Saigon or Asahi". I replied that Asahi was a Japanese beer. The waiter replied that it was all the same. After clarifying accordingly, he was then asked to bring us 2 Saigon, but they only brought us one beer, which I left to my colleague. The menu is full of puns and designed in a magazine style. Nice pictures from Vietnam but none of the food. The history of the operating family is also discussed here. Well meant, but ultimately useless for ordering. I just find the “pan-Asian atmosphere” quite nice. Conclusion for me: I won't go there again.

Okami Vietnamese Restaurant is simply amazing! From the authentic atmosphere to the delicious dishes, our visit was a real treat. The extremely aesthetic ambience gave the restaurant a welcoming and appealing atmosphere, which made our stay even more pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the menu offered a wide range of traditional dishes, all freshly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the coconut-mango curry, which was rich in flavors and spices. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a true Vietnamese culinary experience!

An extremely overpriced failure in our case with the worst service I have ever experienced. Be prepared for the fact that half will be forgotten or mixed up and that you will therefore have more to discuss than enjoy the evening.

Restaurant Okami in Bensheim offers an attractive selection of sushi that also appeals to vegetarians and impresses with its variety of vegetarian options. Unfortunately the dessert offering leaves a lot to be desired as there is only a limited selection. Another point of criticism concerns the service: the staff, obviously temporary workers, were not well acquainted with the menu and could not make any recommendations. These aspects detract from the overall experience, leading me to give Okami Restaurant an overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Addendum: We were there yesterday and the service staff was completely replaced by untrained students. We were asked 3 times within 10 minutes whether we had already chosen (everyone was still engrossed in the menu), and during the soup a waitress had her fingers with huge fingernails inside the edge - disgusting! I had beef in fish sauce which was over salted and the next morning I had mild food poisoning!! Doesn't work at all. —— Very nice, modern Thai restaurant with great attention to detail. The service was very friendly and the food was very tasty and of high quality. The menu seems a bit confusing, but elegant with lots of pictures and nice texts. There is currently a lot of rush and you have to wait until the table is free. We were also told we had to leave the restaurant after 2 hours (because of a follow-up reservation). In addition, it took a long time for drinks to be brought and a drink that was ordered was forgotten.

A very nicely decorated modern Asian restaurant with a small outdoor area and beautiful interior. The sushi was good but the rice was a bit sticky. The crispy rolls were definitely the highlight. The udon were also good. Starter was okay. All in all worth a visit. The plum wine is recommended and is enough for 3-4 people.

The dishes are of top quality, but the prices are rather high (15-20€ / 6 sushi 🍣). A very cozy atmosphere/design of the facility and staff attentive and friendly. On Tuesday after 7 p.m. it was full, but the generous spaces between the tables meant you didn't feel cramped 🙂

Unfortunately quite loud. Service quite slow, but the food is a real taste explosion. Lunch is good value for money. First of all, you can choose between spring rolls and miso soup. There is also a main course, where you can choose between sushi and warm Vietnamese food. The selection of menus is quite good, from sushi to duck and vegan, everything is there. With a drink it costs around €20. Of course more expensive in the evening. There is nothing to complain about about the drinks.

First of all, the positive: The food that came was actually delicious. Then to the negative: One person at the table ordered their food without sauce due to an allergy. Unfortunately the food still came with sauce and of course it was sent back. They said it would come again without sauce, but nothing ever came again. Another person never received their drink. One person has a chicken allergy and received chicken sushi on their plate from someone else at the table. All in all, half of our table didn't get what was ordered. In general, no waitresses ever came by and it was extremely loud in our area, not a relaxed atmosphere at all. We also described our bad experience and weren't even offered anything like a free drink or something similar. Really a shame we had such a bad experience, we had heard good things about the restaurant beforehand. But won't come here again.

Deeply disappointed with today's visit to Okami Today I was back at Okami, excited to try the duck Pho Xao, a dish I enjoyed when the place opened. Unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed. The duck, which was once juicy and tasty, now appeared dry and tough. Instead of the expected crunchy nuts and fresh cilantro, I found myself with an unexpected burst of peppermint. The noodles were awash in soy sauce, drowning any subtlety of flavor. For comparison: At Imm-Aroy in Auerbach I sometimes get dishes that are prepared with more love and taste. It seems as if Okami is a shadow of his former self. The service also left a lot to be desired. Instead of asking if everything was OK, I was rudely asked from the counter what I wanted, even though there were hardly any guests there. The only thing that remained good is the ambience, although this cannot make up for the disappointing quality of the food and the lack of service. Overall, I felt more like I was at a fast food joint than the high quality restaurant I remembered. It's a shame, Okami was once a favorite of mine.

Small suggestions for improvement: Add some dressing to the salad garnish, the beautiful leaves are too good to throw away; Maybe have the card bound, it seemed a bit worn at times - otherwise everything tasted great, was presented and decorated with love and the staff was courteous and on the ball. I recently visited Okami in Bensheim and was absolutely thrilled. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes. The ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality, and the preparation is perfect. We have the sushi mix Ordered, which contains a great selection of different sushi rolls. The rolls were all perfectly rolled and had great flavor. The Pho was also very good. The meat was tender and juicy and the broth was delicious. The ambience at Okami is very appealing. The restaurant is spacious and stylishly decorated. The service is friendly and attentive. I can fully recommend the Okami in Bensheim. It is a restaurant that has something for everyone. Conclusion: An absolute highlight for all sushi lovers.

One star is still too many: We were at Okami with friends yesterday. It happened to be Valentine's Day and once again greed didn't stop at the guests. Without further ado, a very reduced menu was launched and the prices were increased by around 30 percent (!) compared to the regular one. Then came small portions and carelessly prepared. The starter salad consisted of lots of the cheapest glass noodles, spiced up with a few unripe mango wedges and three prawns: 14 euros. In the main course there were about 5 pieces of tofu and a few slices of mushrooms, which were swimming in a far too sweet sauce and on a lettuce leaf. 21 euros were called for this. Simply bold. Such a host mentality is unbearable. Another customer less.

Nice atmosphere with a view of the pedestrian zone. All dishes are very tasty and come to the table quickly. The service is always present and attentive. Even those who are not very familiar with Far Eastern dishes can find a good start here. The different sushi are well explained on the menu and you can keep an overview of the different dishes. My promise: It won't stop at just one visit...

Lohnt sich überhaupt nicht. Sind gerade erst von Darmstadt nach Bensheim gezogen und auf der Suche nach einem neuen Stammladen. Haben uns zwei Mal Ente bestellt… für 70€ ein totaler Witz. Verglichen mit anderen Top Asiaten, bei denen man 10-15€ pro Gericht zahlt, vllt noch 20€, bekommt man hier keine „absolut unschlagbare Ente“ für den saftigen Preis. Wir waren richtig enttäuscht. Hätten vllt maximal 30€ für beide Gerichte gezahlt. Aber keine 70€. Nie wieder werden wir da was essen.

Das Essen ist klasse, der Service immernoch nicht ganz "beisammen". Vorspeisen wurden nach der Hauptspeise serviert. Eine offensichtlich zum Personal gehörende junge Dame telefonierte so laut und mit Lautsprecher über ihr Handy am Nebentisch dass man sich fragen darf was an der Personal-Philosophie schief gelaufen ist. Es hat erheblich gestört und das aktive Personal auf Anfrage nicht dazu bewegt dies zu unterbinden. Eigentlich tolles Ambiente, einfach noch nicht so ganz "vollendet".

Trotz Reservierung war für unsere Gruppe leider kein Platz vorhanden. Erst nach 40 Minuten gab es Bemühungen eine Lösung zu finden. Leider nur eine krüke und nicht sehr kommunikativ. Der eigentliche Tisch war an eine andere Gruppe vergeben.

Das Personal müsste etwas aufmerksamer sein, man sitzt länger vor leeren Gläsern und muss sich etwas zu trinken erfragen. Man sitzt dort sehr schön vor allem oben ist es auch angenehm ruhig das Essen sehr lecker
