If I had been to the bathroom before ordering food, I wouldn't have ordered anything. We arrived half an hour after opening because the floor was sticky and the bathrooms were incredibly dirty. The rice was good, the meat was hard and hard to enjoy, but the broccoli was apparently quite cheap to buy due to the sufficient quantity, but was cooked to death. The price for the portion at >20€ is very high. The delivery was significantly late, but the delivery service seemed to be responsible for this. This was my first and last order from this restaurant. If I want to eat Asian food in the future, I'll go to a well-known Thai restaurant on Darmstädter Straße in Auerbach. The most expensive dishes there cost significantly less. I know I shouldn't compare apples and oranges...

Worst service ever. Had reserved a table for the upper floor. There was no table available and we had to sit at a table with several people. Great if you have a date. Then the service was very unfriendly and not really professional. Had sushi. Very poor quality, the fish didn't smell good. And that at expensive prices. Definitely not coming back. There were three of us there and we had pho, udon and sushi. The food was absolutely fine, not outstanding but totally OK. We waited a good hour for our food. The service was friendly, reserved, seemingly a bit overwhelmed and everything took a very, very long time. Conclusion: you can do it if you are traveling in Bensheim, but for great sushi at fair prices and a warm atmosphere you would rather go to Su in Seeheim.

Food was super good. Although it was quite expensive and there were few dishes to choose from, the quality was very good. Unfortunately, the toilets in the basement have no or insufficient exhaust air, which means that if you sit further back in the restaurant, it smells like a toilet all the time. In addition, we couldn't go to the second floor, even though everything downstairs was full, which was a shame, otherwise we probably wouldn't have even noticed the smell.

That's what you pay for. The prices are way over the top for the quality of the food. Then you'd better get a pack from Rewe. There is hardly any difference, but it is significantly cheaper. The menu only came after we asked the service about it. We had to wait 20 minutes until then. Our order didn't come until over an hour later. In my opinion the menu is very confusing. I found the "funny" titles of the dishes rather annoying, as you can't immediately see what exactly you're ordering. Also, in my opinion, there are too many AI-generated graphics on the menu. The fish itself wasn't bad. However, the rice was not well done and had a mushy consistency. To be honest, we were disappointed after waiting an hour. You expect a lot more for your money. We also didn't like the iced tea, which was too sweet. We then preferred to have a glass of water. But for some reason the service didn't want to see this. They insisted we keep the iced tea. Even though we said clearly that we would rather have water. I found that very unpleasant. In addition, they charged extra for the water. An absolute disgrace. Maybe we just had a bad day. But a good restaurant should have the same good quality every time you visit. We definitely won't eat here again.

Given the quality, I don't think the prices are justified. The location itself is nice, but I wouldn't give it a third chance. It's a shame, I was hoping that there would finally be a good sushi shop in Bensheim.

In terms of cuisine, the sushi is of average quality. As for the fish itself, the salmon lacked flavor. The dishes in general taste fresh and pleasant, although the flavors are sometimes too discreet. However, it is disappointing not to have more quantity of expensive products and as much volume of ordinary products (plenty of salad for example in the Bo Bun and few noodles and other raw vegetables). The non-alcoholic cocktails are, in the opinion of all our table, far too sweet and lack refinement. Alcohol-based cocktails were more successful but again too much sugar. A young waiter who was starting that evening was very considerate and attentive. A nice place to relax, you should prefer the main dishes rather than the sushi offering. Bensheim has other restaurants that are certainly less charming but definitely better for this product.

I expect that the waitress will enter such important information and pass it on to the kitchen. One of the sauces for the starter was wrong, but the chili mayo I ordered came with the main course anyway. The food is great, but for me every evening has ended in massive stomach problems thanks to allergies. Simply unsightly and a shame.

Overall, Okami is a top restaurant, even if prices have increased slightly in recent months. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio remains fair and the experience is worth every cent.

This restaurant is located in the city of Bensheim. The first impression bout it is very nice, super modern interior 👌🏻 and is good visited. So we didn't take a reservation and went there spontaneous with my cousin. As we walk in, to get a table at the inside (because the Terrasse was completely full), we are welcomed by a girl and got one. The menu was very big and we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat directly. We take a bit more time. One worker came the first time and we told her that we take more time....she came after 5 minutes again and we still didn't decide....she came a third time and we felt a bit pressured by choosing because she saw that we still looked in the menu...after that she ignores us and we felt as guest very uncomfortable at this time. When we make ourselves known, another girl comes and takes our order. She was kind and friendly. All other colleagues seem also nice to us. But one worker can destroy your work if the customer/guest feels uncomfortable and wants to leave. We gave it a chance and was impressed by the taste of the food. It was really good, delicious 😋 I will come again and hope to a better behave of this girl.
