We ate here today for the first time in a long time. And I have to add a few stars on top ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have been guests for years and have always been very satisfied, but now they have surpassed themselves. The prawns were really delicious! I'm sure the recipe for the sauce was changed slightly 😄 it was awesome. And when it came to service, I had the feeling they wanted to win a prize, so attentive and friendly I really don't have the words! I'm still full from just now and I'm already looking forward to the next time 🫶

We were in the immediate vicinity on a Thursday evening and spontaneously wanted to be impressed by the culinary delights given the many positive reviews. We were warmly welcomed without prior reservation and given a comfortable place. The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere, the staff is very attentive and friendly. To our delight, there were many fish dishes on offer, so we made the right choice for the fish platter. The food was excellent and gave us a taste of Portugal that evening. We'd love to come back.

Food was great. The service seemed overwhelmed at times and ketchup and mayonnaise were brought to the table in large bottles. The mayo was almost empty and was spraying all over the place and then you have to pay for that too.

Food very good, especially the fish soup and the spare ribs are very good. You can also have all ou can eat gamba's during weekdays. Service is superb, place always crowded so reservations is a must, you can do book online. I can recommend this place

Gambas were good and tasty, unfortunately some were not deveined. Chicken starter was super tasty. Meat was too done. The dessert was delicious. However, it was so crowded and the sauce was spilled on our jackets three times.

This is my favorite restaurant! I ate there many times when I was a child and have never found anything like it since!

Top food at a fair price! It wasn't very crowded when we visited, which is said to be unusual. The service seemed unfocused and sometimes brought the wrong drinks. Fish and prawns tasted really great, portions were more than generous. Atmosphere was average but not unkempt or dirty.

It was my first time eating Portuguese food, I really enjoyed it and I have become a fan of Portuguese food. My friend, who is Portuguese himself, tasted the food and flavors as his grandmother cooked for him. And got homesick for Portugal. Super friendly staff, nice restaurant and super tasty food 😍

We ate here around 1:30 p.m. and everything was delicious. Service was sometimes forgetful but it was also very busy. We had rack of lamb, prawns, lamb fillet roof tiles and chicken piri piri.

De bediening was niet op elkaar afgestemd; hadden bijvoorbeeld net afgerekend, toen vroeg een andere medewerker of we nog een toetje wilden. Een hele tijd kwam niemand vragen of we nog iets wilden drinken en toen vlak nadat we besteld hadden, kwam weer iemand vragen. Ik had "Stockfisch" besteld, maar was droog en te zeer doorbakken. Mijn eetgenoten hebben wel lekker gegeten (gamba's)

If Portuguese colleagues or clients recommend a restaurant to you, you should follow their advice. I've rarely had such a good meal here. We had the menu platter and then also the everything platter for dessert. The drinks.... Well. But the food was delicious. The service was very quick and professionally friendly despite the (notable) stress. Even the boss came to the table to ask if everything was OK. We'll be back!

I ate there for the first time with my parents today and it was delicious. We had the gamba platter (30 pieces), anchovies and clams in advance. For the main course there was lamb fillet with fried potatoes (the meat was juicy and tender, the fried potatoes were also amazing) absolutely recommended, then there was salmon with fries, a kind of soup with potatoes and various types of fish. There is good parking and the place is large and cozy. The staff is also very nice and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for food and drinks. We felt very comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied and would love to come back. Lg 😊

We were a group of 7 with an appointment and walked in without waiting. Very good starters. Top fish soup. We all loved the main dishes. Extra-friendly service. In fact, it is a little noisy as other reviews mention, but that is to be expected in a place with a family atmosphere. We will be back.

We sat outside on a sunny evening. The service was very attentive and I enjoyed my fish soup with prawns, squid, peppers and onions (grilled of course) extremely well. There was also gamvas sauce, potato chips and a small salad. Delicious

The food is great. We come for the steak in the roof tile in mustard sauce. The prawns are also said to be very tasty. The staff is very nice. The pudding for dessert is always a highlight. The only drawback is the volume. But there's nothing you can do about it. We would still like to come back.

As always, the food was delicious. Something needs to be improved on the current service. It used to be better, so I deducted it.

We drove 1 hour from Noord Brabant based on a referral from a colleague and it was well worth it. We had a Brazilian server and he was so informative and kind. The food was delicious and authentic The prices were much better than in the Netherlands. We will be back!

Fast service despite the crowds. Friendly staff. Nothing to complain about the food.

We had reserved the table, there were five of us. The restaurant is very nicely decorated but very dark and very, very loud. The order was placed quickly and the drinks arrived straight away, but then the drinks didn't work out so well. Orders of 2x fish and 3x meat platters also came quite quickly. Unfortunately, the warming parts are of no use if the food is no longer quite as warm. The fish platter was plentiful, but the calamari didn't taste like anything. The meat platter was also plentiful, the spare ribs were tough, unfortunately it is so dark in the restaurant that you can't really see the food. The meat of the rabbits (probably young ones) was so chopped up that you couldn't tell what was bone or meat. The leftovers were packed up. As a wine drinker, I can't recommend the house wine and with the other wines you have to drink a bottle and it doesn't say whether they are dry or sweet. Summary: I don't have to go there anymore.

The food was very tasty, the service was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and full, which didn't bother us as a family and only speaks for the good restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to eat something different but delicious.

We hadn't eaten there for a while. Today we went there again with great joy. So far we have always been satisfied. But today unfortunately the food wasn't as good as it was. The clams were tasteless. No pepper pieces, few tomato pieces and coriander, no heat or spices. Bread was a bit old, ribs (which we love) were tough and not as deliciously seasoned as usual. And the prawns were very disappointing. They were cooked too long. They were too firm and dry. The prawn sauce was watery. Piri Piri, spices and salt were missing. The salad and chips were good. We often ate well there. Unfortunately today was very disappointing. Maybe having a bad day? Maybe a new chef? A pity. Service was also very friendly. Maybe we were unlucky. But the food wasn't as good as usual.

Very nice Portuguese restaurant located in the middle of Heinsberg-Onerbruch with a very good culinary line. The food and service were really good. The price-performance ratio is also right here. A big compliment to the kitchen. The biscuit and crumb pudding are highly recommended here.

Large selection of dishes, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. It feels like every second guest orders the prawns here😁, but they are really very tasty. I had the meat plate, which was also delicious, unfortunately the lamb was completely stringy and so not edible. But the other pieces of meat were flawless. We also ordered tuna steak, which was delicious and perfectly fried. We would have liked to have vegetables as a side dish, but here you can choose between various potato varieties (fries, chips, fried potatoes) and rice. We found that a bit of a shame. Nevertheless, we enjoyed it very much here and felt comfortable. We will come back

Wir waren zum Gambas essen da, daher bewerte ich nur dies. Die Bedienung war sehr gut, schnell und freundlich. Ein Sonderwunsch mit Mehraufwand für die Küche wurde gerne erfüllt. Die verschiedenen Gambas Gerichte haben allen gut geschmeckt. Aber für das billige Blechbesteck und die abgegriffen Speisekarten muss ich einen Stern abziehen.

Overall, the fish was well prepared and tasted delicious, although it could have been served a little warmer. I opted for fries instead of the usual chips, which was easy to do. I would particularly like to highlight the crumb pudding, which was really delicious! The store was very busy which meant it was a bit cramped. It would have been more pleasant if there had been a little more space available. Overall it was still a positive experience with good food, despite the somewhat cramped atmosphere due to the crowds.

You pay a lot and eat little. A week in Germany, Holland and Belgium, I couldn't eat good food.

Short and sweet: - 2 hours wait for food - Noise in the restaurant unbearable. - Meat plate was subpar. There was nothing on the ribs. Meat dry. - Salad was complete lettuce leaves. Absolutely not recommended restaurant.

The best prawns in the world in a super delicious garlic sauce (not for people who can't smell garlic!). We've been here several times and are always amazed at how delicious the prawns and homemade potato chips are. The hanging skewers are also an absolute feast for the eyes and the palate. The atmosphere is nice, rustic and the employees are very friendly and fond of children. However, not recommended for vegetarians and vegans, as the focus here is clearly on meat and fish.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem guten Restaurant mit einer guten Auswahl an Fisch. Auf Empfehlung eines Bekannten und nach dem lesen der Rezessionen sind wir dann im O Portugiese Raposo gelandet. Ambiente: Ich würde es urig und für das Restaurant passend bezeichnen, aber..... Es war laut, zu laut. Ein Gespräch gegenüber nicht machbar. Ich habe so eine Lautstärke noch in keiner Kantine in der Hauptpausenzeit erlebt. Also nichts für Romantiker oder für Menschen die es mögen in leiser oder normal lauter Atmosphäre zu Speisen. Wegen der Lautstärke 2 von 5 Essen: Als Vorspeise gab es Stockfischbällchen und als Hauptspeise Garnelenspieße und Tintenfisch / Garnelenspieß jeweils mit Chips dazu gemischter Salat. Die Stockfischbällchen waren sehr lecker, ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Der Salat war total verwässert und mit zuviel Essig abgeschmeckt. Die Garnelenspieße waren vom Geschmack sehr mehlig und schlecht gewürzt. Die Soße sehr pikant, was nicht in der Karte ausgeschrieben war. Leider für meine Begleitung zu pikant. Die Chips waren sehr hart da sie auch recht dick waren. Die Chips waren komplett ungesalzen. Der Tintenfisch / Garnelenspieß war ungewürzt. Die Garnelen waren geschmacklich ok, ich hatte mir aber geschmacklich mehr erhofft, der Tintefisch war zäh wie eine Schuhsohle und nicht genießbar. Habe ein Drittel gegessen und mir den Rest einpacken lassen. Wenn man schon nicht wirklich mit Salz würzt sollte man zumindest Salz / Pfeffer am Tisch haben. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, am Nachbartisch hat ein Gast seinen Tintenfisch / Garnelenspieß 2x zurück geben lassen. 1 von 5 Service war ok und ist auf unsere Kritik nett eingegangen. Uns wurde zur Entschuldigung noch ein Getränk angeboten was wir aber abgelehnt haben. 5 von 5 Fazit: Wir wurden leider sehr enttäuscht und werden nicht nochmal in das Restaurant einkehren. Es kann sein das der/die Köche einen schlechten Tag hatten. Leider

Super lekker eten, daar ga je voor!

Wir waren gestern zu 6. bei O Portugues essen und hatten Gambas all you can eat. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service war gut und zuvorkommend, wir wurden bereits vorab gefragt ob wir noch mehr Gambas bekommen, die Platten waren auch heiß und die Gambas haben super geschmeckt. Es war etwas eng an unserem Platz, da war Stuhl an Stuhl und ab und zu hat man sich eingeengt gefühlt, aber das war nicht so schlimm. Die Rezeptur der Soße von den Gambas haben einige als verändert wahrgenommen, trotzdem war die Soße sehr lecker. Wir werden auch in Zukunft wieder kommen.

Het restaurant heeft meer tafeltjes dan de keuken aan kan. Het eten is vers. De kaart is (veel te) uitgebreid.

Das Essen war super lecker aber den Kellnern und Kellnerinnen kann man beim gehen die Schuhe besohlen.

Wir waren innerhalb von drei Wochen jetzt zum zweiten Mal hier. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Der Service freundlich, fix. Typisch portugiesische Küche,von Gambas bis Hähnchen Piri Piri. Preise völlig angemessen. Beim ersten Besuch hatten wir das große Kino: Fischsuppe, Spieß von Gambas und Rindfleisch, Kekspudding, Espresso. Heute Abend bisschen kleiner: Butterfisch vom Grill (lecker,lecker) Hähnchen Piri Piri. Lasst euch den hervorragenden Espresso nicht entgehen!!! Und extra Lob an den freundlichen Service. Wir sind überzeugt und kommen ganz sicher bald wieder. Update: Vierter Besuch. Besser geht's nicht. Atmosphäre wie im Urlaub. Essen gewohnt gut, Fischplatte für zwei Personen ein Gedicht.

Tolles portugiesisches Essen in schöner Atmosphäre! Wir waren zum vierten Mal hier und wieder rundum zufrieden. Es ist trubelig und authentisch, man fühlt sich fast wie im Urlaub in Portugal. Das Essen ist Klasse, zu empfehlen die Fischplatte für zwei Personen, aber auch der Spieß mit Rindfleisch und Gambas oder der Fischspieß oder oder oder.... Dazu ein leckerer offener Vinho verde.... perfekt. Freundlicher kann ein Service nicht sein, dazu alles im Griff, obwohl der Laden proppen voll war. Kompliment und bis bald.

Preis Leistungsverhältnis top. Leckere Speisen. Wohlfühl Atmosphäre.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und waren absolut begeistert! Das Restaurant ist sehr lebhaft, was aber eine authentische südeuropäische Atmosphäre schafft. Trotz des Trubels funktionieren der Service und die Küche hervorragend. Besondere Empfehlung ist die Fischplatte für zwei Personen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
