We had a great business meeting here. The staff are on the ball and have a great sense of their guests. The food was very good and the portions were plentiful. The ambiance is beautifully designed and rather nostalgic. I will definitely dine here again for a private meal. Reservations recommended! I went to dinner with my sisters and my mother , the food was delicious, we had ribs, fillet steak and chicken breast, on a Tuesday it was quite full and the best part for us was that they had AC as it was one of the hottest days I ever lived in Germany (37 degrees celsius) the service was okay . I recommend

Great restaurant, extremely reasonable and affordable prices, which are hard to find these days. The homemade croquettes are a highlight, and I don't know where else you can get them. The terrace/platform is inviting, and the staff are very friendly. The waitress (Petra?) in particular was unusually friendly, attentive, and chatty. You rarely find staff like her. Highly recommended for the whole family.

One of my favorite, if not my favorite, restaurants in Krefeld. They serve good, home-style food at a very reasonable price. I've tried almost everything on the menu. The schnitzel, in particular, comes highly recommended, and the burgers are also great. Definitely worth a visit.

We celebrated our wedding here a few weeks ago and felt completely at home. Anne was always available to answer questions and was happy to answer things that we had forgotten due to all the planning or nervousness, even three times over. The on-site preparations went very smoothly and uncomplicatedly. On the day itself, we were greeted with warmth and excellent service. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, received positive praise from many of our guests, and gave us a wonderful day. The food was also great, and the cleanup and collection of our belongings went absolutely smoothly and stress-free. Not to mention the value for money compared to other wedding locations. We can only warmly recommend the Nordbahnhof and will always fondly remember this day, especially when we stop by for dinner.

Everything's just right here! I'm a regular at Nordbahnhof, and never once have I encountered a bad mood or rudeness from the staff. Always super friendly and accommodating! The food is good, home-style fare, and no matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. I can also highly recommend the home-brewed beer! And all this at more than fair prices and in a fantastic atmosphere (both inside and outside!)

On Whit Monday, I visited the Nordbahnhof again and had a delicious lunch. It was very good, as always, although my wife's portion of salmon was a bit meager. Despite tough times in the restaurant industry, the prices here are still reasonable and fair. I also drank a delicious Schlüpfchen Pils, which I'd never tried before. Wow, what a taste! I was completely won over, and you've found a new Schlüpfchen fan. I immediately bought two small Püllekens to try at the next opportunity. Keep up the good work and best wishes.

June 8, 2025. Although not labeled as LGBTQ-friendly, we felt at home here. The service was very quick and friendly. The portions were generous, and the home-brewed beer was excellent. Most of the food here is homemade, which is why it tastes so good. The location is a highlight. Local history.

We were absolutely thrilled with the Nordbahnhof Restaurant in Krefeld! As soon as we walked in, we were struck by the warm atmosphere – this restaurant is a real insider tip, especially for families with children. The staff were consistently very friendly, attentive, and quick. The chef himself was super nice and helpful. A big highlight for us: the child-friendliness! There's a special children's menu with great dishes that are truly child-friendly – ​​both in terms of taste and portion size. Our little ones were even allowed to play, which made the restaurant visit much more relaxing for us parents. The food arrived quickly and was delicious for both adults and children. Conclusion: An all-round successful visit...We will definitely be back and would highly recommend the Nordbahnhof!

Highly recommended! Good home-style cooking, fast and attentive service. The ambiance is quaint, located in an old train station. It's rather loud and busy, making it a great place to meet up with friends and have a good laugh. Perhaps not ideal for a romantic date. You can't make reservations; you'll have to wait for a table from the bar.

What an atmosphere! In winter, you can sit in a restaurant modeled after a quaint train station concourse, or in summer, you can enjoy beer and food outside on the former platform. That's not true at all... A quaint museum train still runs from this platform 😁 "Our" waiter was like a Cologne "Köbe" (a local tavern) and was therefore very approachable, attentive, and truly deserved his (only) free beer 😁 The meal itself was nothing to complain about; the pepper steak is second in my personal rankings behind the "Golden Swan" in Kevelaer on the Lower Rhine. I always judge the cuisine consistently by this dish... The pepper sauce, in particular, should not come out of a packet... Our birthday party had a very enjoyable afternoon, and we would gladly visit this restaurant again and again, thus recommending it!

We had to wait 20 minutes for the waiter to come, then we tell him that it took exactly 20 minutes and we are told that is not true. So we are assumed to be not telling the truth, to be lying. Three other tables where new guests had sat down were served by him immediately. One of them was probably someone he knew. They had their food before we even had our drinks. Then this very waiter wanted to take our plates away and clear them away in the middle of our meal. This waiter's entire behavior was and is a solid 6-. This is the second time this waiter has been so cheeky and impertinent, so condescending and almost insulting. Next time we will make sure we get a table that this waiter is not responsible for. But at least the food was as great as always.

Great as always. The Nordbahnhof is one of Krefeld's institutions. What the Furth family has built there and what they achieve with their team day after day is truly fantastic. Respect. Great food and friendly service. Incredibly delicious beer from the in-house brewery. The atmosphere on the platform is casual and very relaxed. The restaurant is almost always very busy. A bit hectic and loud. But it's precisely this conviviality that creates the spirit of the Nordbahnhof. You just have to like it. Reservations are only possible for groups, as far as I know. You might need to be patient for a table. Just stop by; it's worth it.

Absolutely top value for money Very delicious food

The operator of the railway facility could do some trimming, among other things. The catering facilities weren't in use that day, but everything looked very good. Restroom facilities were open and clean... Only a cutlery trolley in the entrance area was inconveniently placed.

There were four of us there. The food itself was really good. The ambiance was also good. However, we weren't so impressed with the service. The staff kept mixing things up. Two dishes and one drink arrived incorrectly... But they were promptly replaced. Unfortunately, my colleague, for example, received his food very late...

The Nordbahnhof is nothing less than a solid gastronomic institution in Krefeld. The friendly restaurant with local and national dishes from good home cooking is correspondingly popular and always well attended. Even though I of course have my favorites on the traditional menu, I have never been wrong and have always eaten very well! I am and will happily remain a regular guest.

The restaurant is wonderful and the food is great, today we had very tasty asparagus cream soups and Argentinian beef fillet strips from the grill with a salad plate, very tasty and with home-made mashed potatoes and the staff were very friendly, and there wasn't a long wait to eat either, wow!

A beautiful, rustic location. Great service, the children received coloring pages and pens straight away, without asking! The service was very nice, courteous and attentive. We really enjoyed the food and the prices were cheap. Especially the food for the children. And I personally enjoyed both the home-brewed Hefeweizen and the Alt. Full marks! After a long time we had dinner at Nordbahnhof again. Two free places were quickly found for us. The train driver skewer was very tasty and the portion was large enough. The operation and service were very nice and we will definitely come back.

I've eaten at Nordbahnhof several times now and I always enjoy going there. Unfortunately, there are no longer many good addresses in Krefeld for good home cooking with fair prices. The food is always good and comes quickly. Unfortunately, the staff always give the impression that you are about to be dumped quickly To make room for the next guests. You have to like the ambience, it's not bad and has charm, but it's always loud because it's quite big and you quickly get the feeling of being in a corporate canteen. All in all, I like eating there. I would like it to be open on Saturdays too, but that's out of my hands 😄

For the first time on a weekday at lunchtime, the three of us were in the train station! We were surprised at how full it was even though there were hardly any free tables in two large dining rooms! We had very friendly and nice service and we decided on pork knuckle sauerkraut, which we saw at the next table! The knuckle was brilliant, the crust was crispy and I ate it completely for the first time and the meat was really tender, you only needed a fork! It's one of the top 3 of my knuckle experiences, maybe even the best! Until next time, the schnitzel looked great too! The spare rips are also great. That was a great discovery - there is also a large beer garden! With your own brewery! Good price-performance ratio

The green beans were crunchy and harmonized perfectly with the rest of the dish. An all-around successful meal! Your kitchen is great. Location unique! In my opinion there is no better address in Krefeld. The huge terrace directly on the Schluff platform is particularly recommended in summer. At Carnival you have outdone yourself. The DJ in the brewery took the atmosphere to a new level. We were particularly impressed by the layout and what he created about Altweiber and Rose Monday. We'll definitely be back next year. To eat beforehand, of course.
