It was very crowded there, it always is and that's part of the charm. We like to eat here. The food was very tasty, traditional brewery food or typical Krefeld dishes. All very tasty. The service was extremely friendly, nice and quick. No matter how busy it is, we never had to wait long for drinks or food.

For the first time on a weekday at lunchtime, the three of us were in the train station! We were surprised at how full it was even though there were hardly any free tables in two large dining rooms! We had very friendly and nice service and we decided on pork knuckle sauerkraut, which we saw at the next table! The knuckle was brilliant, the crust was crispy and I ate it completely for the first time and the meat was really tender, you only needed a fork! It's one of the top 3 of my knuckle experiences, maybe even the best! Until next time, the schnitzel looked great too! The spare rips are also great. That was a great discovery - there is also a large beer garden! With your own brewery! Good price-performance ratio

It was served with a jacket potato, which, with quark and herb butter, made a wonderful combination – creamy, fresh, and full of flavor. The green beans were crunchy and harmonized perfectly with the rest of the dish. An all-around successful meal! Cheese spaetzle and schnitzel can only be recommended:) Especially when the weather is good, outside with the backdrop of the old train platform. The staff is always very friendly and attentive.

Your kitchen is great. Location unique! In my opinion there is no better address in Krefeld. The huge terrace directly on the Schluff platform is particularly recommended in summer. At Carnival you have outdone yourself. The DJ in the brewery took the atmosphere to a new level. We were particularly impressed by the layout and what he created about Altweiber and Rose Monday. We'll definitely be back next year. To eat beforehand, of course.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the hype and the reviews at all. The atmosphere is very old and resembles a pub from the Middle Ages. The seat cushion on the chairs outside in this “winter garden” was completely broken, which meant I had to push the chair away and take another one, something like that shouldn't actually happen if you expect a cozy atmosphere. In addition, the cutlery was dirty and looked totally old, as if it had been sitting out there for a very long time. Unfortunately it spoiled my appetite. The waiter also totally stressed us out by saying that we can only order now because the kitchen is closing, we didn't even have 2 minutes to actually choose something, after that he came to us again and said with a laugh that the kitchen was open longer and didn't even apologize that we had to choose something under stress just because he didn't remember the times. We found it really unpleasant! To eat: I had the schnitzel with fries and a small salad, which tasted okay but wasn't anything special. The mussels were in a pot and there were some vegetables around them that didn't taste good, the mussels weren't in a delicious sauce but rather in “vegetable water”. There was also only a small mini slice of brown bread with a huge pot of mussels, so it didn't taste good at all! We expected something different. We definitely won't come again!

Nice cozy restaurant, has brewery flair. It's a tight fit, but it's ok. Prices are fair. Service friendly and quick. I can't say anything negative about the first visit.

I was there with my family on a Monday evening and it was surprisingly busy, not that it was a problem. Instead of us being sent away again, they are trying to find a solution so that we can get a place. And despite this, the chefs did a great job and the food was ready quickly. However, I find the quantity-price ratio a bit strange among the different dishes. But I can say that what I ordered was super tasty. Despite the high occupancy, service was very relaxed and friendly. The ambience is right and in the middle room there is even a small miniature train running along the edge of the room, which always reminds you where you are. Details like that are great and make a big difference. In short, I would definitely come back.

We were there for dinner before an ice hockey game, it was our first time here and we were a bit surprised by the queue in front of the entrance door. But when the door opened, everyone got a seat. Beer and food were served quickly and friendly. The food is great and the fresh Altbier is an absolute pleasure. We will definitely come back and say thank you!

Price performance super nice service food great

Very crowded and loud. While you eat, the next guests are already waiting for a table. I think it's quieter during the week. We were there on a Sunday before New Year's Eve. Service is friendly despite the full house and has a good overview. The price-performance ratio is great.

The restaurant is simply great, and very, very good cuisine. Not overpriced. Super.

We had another wonderful Christmas party with our company in the engine shed. The food was unsurpassably good (not exaggerated), plentiful and varied. The location was perfect for the number of colleagues and the service (with a flat rate for drinks) was extremely attentive and friendly. Price/performance cannot be topped. Once again a big thank you to the great team.

Food: 95% of the time we like it pretty well. Here and there, but rarely, there is something to complain about, but in most cases this is not that tragic. Ambiance: Brewery character, rustic, you have to like it. We like it. Service: Mostly top notch, very on point, keeping an eye on their “sheep”. Friendly without being too intrusive. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

Angefangen mit der professionellen Beratung durch Frau Anne Furth hinsichtlich des Menüs für Fleischesser & Vegetarier, bis zum Service am Abend. Der Service wurde von 2 Damen durchgeführt, Mirela und Nicole, die sich sehr aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich um meine Gäste gekümmert haben. Alle meine Gäste waren sehr begeistert von der Qualität der Speisen, sowie von Service. Ein toller Abend! Norbert W.

A real eye-catcher in my opinion. We were lucky that we saw the real locomotive driving along the tracks. The restaurant was packed and we came without a reservation, had to wait a good 10 to 15 minutes and were then allowed to go to the table. Waiting time and service are completely fine. It didn't take that long for the food to arrive, even though it was extremely full. It was well timed and managed. We sat in a kind of winter garden setting, it pulled from time to time but was bearable. Inside it looked very inviting and chic. Recommended, we will definitely come back. Ambience and price performance as well as service are unbeatable.

Food just standard. What else could you go wrong with meatloaf with fried potatoes? Except that the fried potatoes were probably from the package and were also too salty. I've been to Krefeld twice so far and ate here both times. Simply unbeatable in terms of price and taste! An absolute must for anyone visiting the area.

The most popular, rustic restaurant in Krefeld with well-organized catering. Celebrations are also easily possible here in several guest rooms, on the covered outdoor terrace or directly next to the brewery kettles.

If you're looking for long waits and rude staff, go there and then wait a while until a table becomes available. Reservations are not accepted at all. Absolutely not recommended!

One star less for ambience because of the noise. The food was very very good! The goose leg and goose breast were tender and the red cabbage was well seasoned. Creme brulee as it should be. The young waiter was really friendly and not pushy. You can tell there are skilled staff working in the kitchen and in the restaurant. Thank you very much!

Excellent place, I went with my mother for dinner and it was full, we had to wait a while but it wasn't too long. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and the portions are quite large. The quality-price ratio is very good. I recommend booking because it always fills up. I will definitely return.

Prices, food and staff unbeatable!

If you're looking for solid food, a delicious beer and fast service, then you've come to the right place! If you don't have a reservation you have to get there early, it's always very busy. The reservation for 12 people was no problem, friendly and quick by email. Unfortunately, upon arrival we had to agree to clear the table at a set time for subsequent guests. We all had the impression that the only alternative would have been another restaurant. You can certainly afford that as long as there are more guests than there are places available. Maybe we're just not familiar with the applicable rules or don't use them often enough. Take care!

Trendy restaurant with its own brewery. The kitchen is recommended with very good quality dishes. Very good service with the best staff. In summer there is also an outdoor restaurant on the old platform. A winter garden was built for the cold season. If you are traveling with several people, we recommend making a reservation. A beautiful annex is available for a birthday party, a department party, a Christmas party, etc. I have had many lovely evenings here with friends, colleagues or family.

Waren spontan mit 6 Mann zum Geschäftsessen hier, und was soll man sagen, es war super! Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants läuft einem das Wasser im Mund zusammen, so gut roch es! Der Laden war brechend voll, aber das Team hatte es voll im Griff! Es gab ne Nummer und dann durften wir quasi am Bahnsteig im Biergarten hinterm Haus mit kalten Bier auf den Tisch warten ! So konnten wir uns mit guten , hausgebrauten Bier einstimmen! Obwohl wir in der Warteschlange hinten waren gab es nach 30 Minuten nen Tisch! Das Team war sensationell, das Bier war nie leer, der Kellner echt fix und super cool drauf, jeder Wunsch wurde prompt erfüllt! Das Team aus Finnen, Polen und Deutschen war begeistert! Traditionelle , sehr gute Brauhausküche zu fairen Preisen! Das Essen kam recht schnell, alles war heiß und sehr lecker! Nen guten Absacker gab es aufs Haus! Wir kommen gern wieder! Das wird ne feste Adresse bei mir für künftige Geschäftsessen, das Ambiente ist super, das Essen top, das Bier schmeckt und ist bekömmlich, das Team war auch super! Danke für den tollen Abend!

You can eat barbarian-style food, there are a lot of options, and it's conveniently close to my work. The atmosphere of the store is also great.

Wir können es leider nicht 100% weiterempfehlen. Schnitzel fettig, Jägerschnitzel mit fertiger Soße, schmeckt sehr künstlich, die gleiche Soße bei Lokführer Spieß und nur 4 Kroketten. Bratkartoffeln fettig und mit Speck, was in der Beschreibung jedoch nicht mitgeteilt wird. Salat mit Hähnchenbrust (Hähnchen mit Curry Pulver zubereitet, auch nirgendwo erwähnt, für Allergiker ein no go). Dafür Lachs ok. Was wir loben können ist die nette und aufmerksame Bedienung.

Motto “it’s worth the wait”. We were there with 6 people on a Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m. It was packed including a queue in front of the entrance door. Not a problem for us, more of a positive point, there seems to be good food there. ;) A beer in hand and a chat in the waiting area with a waiting number for a good half hour, then we went to the seat. The service was on point and friendly at all times, especially during this run. The food, just like the ambience, is typical brewery style. Hearty home cooking, deliciously prepared, good portions and very, very fair prices. Thank you very much, absolutely recommended, we will be back.
