The ramen is simply incredibly delicious. Especially the tonkotsu broth. And you really get full! I just wish that the vegan toppings would be more interesting... So that the tofu would at least be fried or marinated or something like that. Otherwise one of my favorite restaurants!

I frequently visit this restaurant as it has the best ramen I have ever tasted - it also fills you up and it's affordable. I'd recommend the ginger-lemon tee as well. The atmosphere is very cozy.

Great food at a very good price, huge portions that will fill everyone up. We drive over 100km to eat here. Recommendation: Ginger lemongrass tea goes perfectly with the ramen!

I can only recommend! There isn't much on the menu. However, this shows that the dishes are all homemade, and you can taste it. There are 4 starters (edamame, kimchi, gyoza and something else) and a few bowls. For the ramen, you can decide whether to use light or dark broth. The sharpness can also be adjusted if desired. Hardly any waiting time, very friendly service, card payment and sitting outside possible, but the latter doesn't necessarily have to be on the busy street. Better than Düsseldorf :D

We were there for dinner with 6 people on Friday evening. You should definitely reserve in advance. Starters (edamame, chicken gyoza and tempura) and the ramen were super delicious. I found my tonkotsu with tofu, spinach and extra karaage chicken super tasty, not as salty as miso and very tender due to the milky consistency. The level of spiciness can be ordered individually (slightly spicy was enough for most people). The food came quickly and the waiter was also very friendly. Since no alcohol is served, you have the option of purchasing your own alcoholic drinks from the kiosk next door for a small corkage fee and then drinking them in the restaurant. Clear recommendation!

Delicious ramen in the middle of Dortmund

Found this ramen shop based on a Google recommendation. We took 2 starters (edamame and shrimp tempura) and 2 main courses (ramen with chicken and bowl with shrimp) The edamame was delicious, the shrimp had very thick tempura, the ramen had too fatty pieces of chicken and also the batter (which was unnecessary for my taste) The service is friendly and fast. The establishment itself is very small and a reservation is required to get into it. There is too much soy sauce in the bowl

Not good enough in terms of taste. Miso broth prepared very carelessly. Tamago were pickled with a Maggi preparation. The noodles are relatively thick and have an unusual bite. Chashu of poor quality and not marinated.

This is a cute specialty restaurant with amazing food and great service. The serving staff were friendly, multi-lingual, and super fast. The food was delicious and wholesome. I feel so full yet light after eating good ramen. And in the summer, a breezy outdoor table ia perfect.

It was better than the ramen restaurants in town. I didn't have high expectations, but I was surprised by how delicious it was. It was disappointing that the eggs were cold. It's perfect to eat ramen here and a melona from the nearby Asia Mart.

Once again it tasted very good and I really like being there. I would particularly like to highlight the service and one service person in particular. The employee was incredibly warm, authentic and friendly.

I absolutely love the broths, which are both vegan. What surprised me the most was the tonkotsu broth, which was outstanding. We will definitely come back, it was delicious.

In my opinion, Tonkotsu ramen had too few additives, no other ingredients in the soup except bacon (which was rubbery) and egg, too much chives, the taste was also weak, unfortunately it had nothing to do with authentic ramen. I liked the Chicken gyoza dumplings, they were tasty. Delicious green tea.

Best ramen shop in Dortmund! I always like to go there and enjoy eating the tonkotsu style with karaage.

Update: Unfortunately not quite as good as the first visit: staff very listless, broth lukewarm instead of hot and the eggs hard-boiled instead of creamy. Specially selected sharpness was simply non-existent. Everything else still tastes very good. 3.5 stars. Previous review: I would give 4.5 stars overall. The tonkotsu-style ramen were fantastic, but not real tonkotu - a shame. I think it's just not worth the effort for them. Nevertheless, this alternative was extremely tasty and a huge portion. The miso ramen was also delicious. However, it is cheeky to charge an extra 50 cents for the spiciness. There was a mountain of edamame when you ordered it. The salt was perhaps a bit overdone and there were 2-3 slightly brown spots on it, but still delicious. The Sencha tea was really worth the €4 - a whole pot for the money! The furnishings were typically Japanese rather minimalist. A little too tight for my taste. The service was ok, nothing special but friendly. I will come back.

Top! We can highly recommend ramen bowls. The bowls can be supplemented with additional ingredients as desired and the level of spiciness can be selected. The selection is completely sufficient, so you won't be overwhelmed with the menu. We really enjoyed it. We will come more often. Service staff friendly and friendly!

Small menu with great dishes. We had 2 starters, both great. And the two different ramens, both tasted really great. You can also order toppings and you can also determine the level of spiciness yourself if you order the spice separately. We were allowed to drink our own wine for a corkage fee, which we thought was more than perfect!

At first glance it appears to be a small, busy restaurant, which is what made me try it out this time. Unfortunately, I had to realize that the price performance was subpar for me, just like the service was non-existent. Looking at the ambience I can say the chopsticks are good. All in all I was very disappointed, the broth of the ramen was very weak, contained three sesame seeds, some leeks, onions, a few noodles, an egg and 2 thin slices of meat. I found the whole thing for 15 euros audacious. But the water prices are completely exaggerated here. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.

First of all: The food was really tasty! Really, really tasty! A small, cozy shop where you immediately feel at home. The service was very friendly and quick. The love is in the details. Great teapot with mug, great chopsticks, matching colors with napkins and storage tray. The Sencha tea was great, is one of my favorite teas, which you quickly mess up if the dosage is too high. Not the case here, it was perfect. As a starter, fried tempura. Hammer! Fresh, crispy, hot and the taste is one plus! As a main course, miso ramen with ground beef and kimchi. I have to say, best ramen I've ever eaten! Perfectly seasoned, perfect consistency, everything is simply indescribably delicious! I can only recommend. I would give more stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. We will be back definitely! Thanks for the great dinner.

On a trip we stopped in Dortmund and, as ramen lovers, came across this authentic shop via Google reviews. The service was very friendly, the menu wasn't overloaded and kept short, which was good. Starters Korean chicken and gyoza were super good, the ramen was also very, very good. I can definitely recommend it because we really liked it 😊

You are my favorite ramen restaurant (small but nice) in Dortmund and are now finally easier to reach by bus :) Your ramen tastes super delicious - guaranteed to fill you up. Of the starters, I have only tried Gyosa so far, and they also tasted convincing. The competition here in Germany, which I have been able to try out so far, cannot keep up. It's not too sour, not too salty, tastes fresh and somehow makes you happy! Nom nom One could argue that the amount of toppings should be increased - but I personally think the ramen composition is good as it is, manageable but harmoniously balanced imo Maybe you can offer something like hygiene bags for women in the toilet (since the trash can is open) Value for money convinced my taste buds - 10/10 Service was always warm - 10/10 The toilet was always clean - 10/10 I can only warmly recommend you!

There were two of us there and we had Tonkotsu Ramen and Miso Ramen. Both ramen were tasty, but nothing special. The noodles seemed to be a ready-made product, the pork was a bit tough and only lukewarm. The kimchi doesn't seem to be homemade, but rather comes from a large bucket from the Asian supermarket. Very salty and very crumbly, unfortunately there was also a lack of spiciness. Overall ok, but nothing special either.

Were here for the third time now, a vegan, a vegetarian, two carnivores. Everyone was thrilled as always. The vegetarian Tonkotsubo broth tastes amazing, you don't miss the meat-based Tonkotsubo broth at all. I've often eaten ramen on my business trips and the Nokia box is one of my personal favorites, along with the Cooperativa Shiki in Braunschweig, S'j Ramen in Bielefeld and Ramen 1974 in Dresden. reservations recommended

I rate it with one star because this is NOT a tonkotsu ramen. This is usually laboriously boiled from parts of the pig over many hours in order to create a high level of collagen in the broth, which ultimately, in combination with the tare, ensures the authentic taste. Here they simply call it Tonkotsu “STYLE” and you get a completely different product that is vegan. This wouldn't be so tragic if it were explained differently. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with authentic ramen!

Nokiabox is a very minimalist restaurant in many ways. The facility is limited to the essentials. There aren't too many seats, so reservations are recommended. The menu is relatively small: there are a handful of starters, two bowls and seven different ramen - based on either dark miso or light tonkotsu broth. The ramen can also be customized a bit. We have been there twice and have always been very satisfied. It tastes very good, the portions are not minimalist (on the contrary!) and the prices are completely reasonable. Service is also very good. We will be back.

The selection of ramen restaurants is currently still manageable. Nokiabox has a small menu and does it just right. Two basic soups, different toppings and a few starters. Not 100% authentic Japanese ramen, but perfectly adapted to the German customer. Absolutely within the price range ;-) and a real recommendation You should definitely make a reservation, the store is not too big and the crowds can be large depending on the time of day.

Tried veggie miso ramen here. It was really tasty, the noodles were great and the egg was delicious. Unfortunately, the vegetable topping wasn't that rich and the tofu was in large slices in the soup, which unfortunately didn't have much taste either. For example, I would have preferred small cubes or something similar. Would come again but not for the ramen ☺️

Reserved a table in the evening with Open Table, it worked quite well, but we had to wait a bit. The food was really really good. The store is not very big, but it creates a cozy atmosphere. Gladly again

I had previously made a reservation via the restaurant's website because it is a small, well-known shop. Very clean and the staff was also very attentive. We ordered drinks, gyoza and karaage miso soup. The food was very warm and freshly prepared. Recommended!

Not a lot of choice, but still good food

The table felt a bit sticky. I suggest to clean it better after each customer. The toilet was very good. It smelled good and it was clean. I suggest to remove the air dryer because it is not hygienic. The food was ok. The noodles were cooked with a good consistency. I ordered extra spicy but it wasn't spicy enough. Afterwards the cook explained to me that I should order with the sharper chili variant. I suggest to write that on the menu. The service was good. The waitress processed the order fast. Also I suggest to have children stopsticks ready for customers not familiar with chopsticks.

We ate there for the third time today. It is a very small shop, which is why we made a reservation. Since we also came with a baby, we reserved a high chair. As always, the staff was very friendly and the ramen was super tasty and prepared quickly. We'd love to come back!

Probably Dortmund's best ramen. Japanese ramen restaurant run by Koreans. I was particularly fascinated by the vegan tonkotsu broth, which tasted better than some real ones! The meat and noodles were good too. My egg could have been cooked a little less, but it was very nicely marinated. Too many spring onions for my taste. The only downside, no alcohol. Otherwise everything was really great!!

Very tasty food, great service. Considering that the shop had just opened and had to serve ~12 guests at once, the food came quickly and there wasn't a long wait. Rather rustic and small tables, but you don't need anything more. Not a big selection of food, but you don't need that in a ramen restaurant. I really enjoy going there.

Ich habe zum ersten Mal Ramen gegessen und es war leider garnicht mein Geschmack. Die Miso Rahmen mit frittierten Hähnchen haben langweilig geschmeckt und das Hähnchen sehr nach Fritierfett. Mit 14€ dafür auch recht teuer. Für meinen Freund, der regelmäßig Ramen isst, war es eine 6/10. Der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell.

Quick service and available for small group on short notice. No very big selection, but very tasty simple broth. Noodles were perfect. Spicyness-grades was overrated though, so go for very hot if you like spicy food.

Leider eine Enttäuschung. Die Ramen haben nicht viel mit japanischen Ramen gemein. Alleine, dass eine Ramen "Tonkotsu Style" genannt wird, also "Schweineknochen-Stil", und dann aber vegetarisch ist...Von zwei angebotenen Brühen sind beide vegan. Eine 100%ige Anpassung an den "veggie/veganen" Markt. Ramen bzw Ihre Brühe wird je nach Koch traditionell aus Schweinen und/oder Hühnern ausgekocht dann häufig gemischt und mit einer Dashi verfeinert.. Man schmeckt Schwein, Huhn und oft das Meer. Hier schmeckt man Salz und Soyasoße bzw Miso. Da springt einer auf den "Ramenzug" auf und profitiert vom Boom. Kein Vergleich zu zB. Takezo oder Takumi. Service schlecht geschult, kennt Speisekarte nicht und kann Speisen nicht erklären. Gyoza werden im Kontaktgrill zubereitet, dadurch maximal zerstört. Gut, die waren geschmacklich auch eher lala... Keine Empfehlung für Kenner.

Ich bin äußerst zufrieden gewesen. Wir hatten die Rahmen mit Garnelen und & mit der hellen Brühe . Wir konnten uns als erstes nicht entscheiden welche Brühe wir nehmen, daher wurde uns von dem lieben Kellner 2 Schüssel mit Brühe zur Verfügung gestellt. Damit wir probieren können. Das fand ich sehr ansehnlich ! Der Geschmack der Brühe war gustiös ! Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und herzlich . Der Koch hat seine arbeit erstklassig präsentiert. WOW ! Immer wieder gern !

Ich kam alleine hier her, weil ich nur eine Nacht bleiben beruflich bedingt, habe trotzdem einen Platz bekommen. Service super. Essen auch sehr lecker, die Miso Samen sind empfehlenswert.

Eines der wenigen Restaurants, wo ich einigermaßen regelmäßig alleine essen gehe. Für sich genommen ist es schon super, einen guten Ramen Shop in Dortmund zu haben. Aber die Tatsache, dass die Tonkotsu Brühe irgendwie vegetarisch ist, ist absolut beeindruckend. Ein Meisterwerk der Essenstechnik. Weiterhin bis jetzt immer nett und immer freundlich, und geben sich alle Mühe, einem irgendwie einen Tisch zu organisieren, selbst wenn man es selbst vergurkt hat.

Der Besuch in dem Restaurant war rundum gut. Geschmacklich echt lecker, die Vorspeisen waren allerdings etwas fettig.

Ambiente ist schön gemütlich mit w wärmestrahlern am Fenster und sehr einfachen Tischen und Stühlen. Essen hat eine sehr begrenzte Auswahl, aber das was mann findet schmeckt super lecker. Netter Service vor so wenig Tische trotzdem 2 Kellner war top. Man wartet nicht lange und wenn man sich vorher informiert was es dort zu essen gibt wird mann auf jeden fall glücklich und satt dort wieder raus gehen für einen angemessenen preis. Meine Empfehlung!

Wie immer hervorragend, es war schon unser vierter Besuch. Wir hatten Tonkotsu Ramen mit Kaarage bzw. Tempura, unserer Meinung gibt es hier die beste Brühe, die wir bei Ramen bisher hatten. Der Service und Atmosphäre sind prima, das Personal freundlich und man muss nicht lange auf das Essen warten. Reservierung empfohlen, die Parksituation ist allerdings vor allem abends angespannt.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und werden zu 100% wieder kommen. Wenig Auswahl, aber das ist etwas Gutes, denn so schmeckt das was angeboten wird richtig gut.

Einfach die aller beste Ramen! Ich habe schon sehr viele verschiedene Rahmen gegessen, aber keine kann mit NOKIBOX mithalten!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch die Kellner waren sehr nett. Die Räumlichkeiten sind klein und haben das typische Charakter wie in Japan. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hin. Reserviert lieber ein Tisch wenn ihr nicht Schlange stehen wollt.

Wir waren das erste Mal bei Noki und uns hat es supergut gefallen, super leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente. Netter umsichtiger Service. Wir werden bestimmt bald wiederkommen um weitere Gerichte zu probieren.

Gyoza, Karaage als auch die Tempura Garnelen waren sehr sehr gut, Miso Ramen waren auch lecker, aber es fehlte noch der letzte Schliff an Umami. Service Team war nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend und waren flott dabei das Essen zu servieren. Ambiente war gemütlich, wenn auch ein wenig beengt. Reservierung sinnvoll!! Ich würde es weiterempfehlen.

I recently dined at "Noki Box," a Japanese restaurant in Dortmund, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Authentisch und lecker. Super Ramen

Essen war sehr lecker. Hatten Ramen und vorallem die Karaage war sehr saftig. Essen kam relativ schnell nach ca.20-30 min.

Ausgezeichnete Ramen, das Händchen ist knusprig und saftig und die dunkle Brühe kräftig und sehr geschmackvoll. Gyoza sind eher Standard. Ein sehr kleiner Laden, daher lieber reservieren.

Waren heute zum ersten und wahrscheinlich nicht letzten Mal da. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab große Portionen.
