A very good vegetarian udon restaurant in Cologne. I have visited three times in total, and the overall menu is on the light side. But personally, I prefer heavy flavors. In the end, my favorite is the Ninniku Udon with garlic soy milk soup base. It is much richer than other items, but it is not greasy. In the summer, I can drink the whole bowl of Udon soup. It’s okay to drink them all. The vegetarian tempura was unexpectedly fried very well. Although I prefer tempura with a crispy crust, Nobiko's crust is overall soft, but not soggy, so I personally think it's good. The most eye-catching thing is that the fried outer skin locks the moisture of various ingredients inside, so you can taste the fresh and sweet juice when you bite into it. The restaurant is located in an alley, so it is very quiet. The overall atmosphere is very suitable for a date or with two or three friends. It is suitable for slowly tasting and chatting with friends. Then you can swipe your card.

The one star missing from the ambient atmosphere might simply be due to sheer exhaustion, but in every other way it was one of the best "eating out" experiences in a good long while. And I usually don't very much like going out to eat...

Extremely cosy place with super tasty food, and kind staff!! My fave dish is Ninniku Udon, which I order every time when I visit. But their Tempuras (veggies) are also so delicious⭐️

Update July 2024. As always, very tasty. All dishes are vegan. The nut wedges for dessert and the homemade herbal lemonade are excellent. I am a repeat offender at Nobiko. Everything is freshly prepared every day. Very, very tasty. Fresh and homemade. Relaxed atmosphere.

Great for vegetarians and vegans who like light Asian cuisine. Parking difficult.

Ambiente 9/10 very cute Food: a little too expensive for the portion size, but there's limitless soy sauce. Milk in broth gave the whole thing some nice taste. My friends food was a little tasteless, the broth didn't taste like much. Would come here again if we were starving <3

Super tasty restaurant with very nice and courteous service. The udon noodles have a perfect consistency and a great texture thanks to the homemade preparation. The broth can absolutely compete with classic animal broths and offers an interesting variety. Overall, everything is a lot of fun to try and a great experience not just for vegans.

The only restaurant that makes its own udon in North Rhine-Westphalia. Endless umami despite being vegan. I recommend double portion of pasta as it is incredibly good.

Super nice, be sure to reserve in advance. Being from Düsseldorf, I'm really spoiled when it comes to Asian cuisine; but Nobiko is by far the best when it comes to vegan ramen.

Very tasty homemade udon noodles in different variations. You can definitely taste that everything is homemade here, in a positive sense of course. I also thought the tempura was outstanding! The service is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, although a bit alternative.

Red Tantan Udon was delicious but it wasn't even spicy even though it was supposed to be "very hot"

Probably the best Cologne restaurant on the right side of the Rhine ;) Everything vegan, delicious and in a relaxed atmosphere.

Best tempura in Cologne. We had Tempura Teishoku with perfectly balanced pickled vegetables and Kake Udon, a simple broth with noodles. The udon noodles are excellent, the broth lacked a little salt. But the problem was solved with a spoonful of soy sauce. For dessert there was a kind of tiramisu tart, very successful. The dishes are reasonably priced, you can see and taste the handwork and the many necessary work steps. The ambience is somewhere between a ramen bar and a local kitchen with lots of fun surprises like the Nobiko memory, and the service is pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Nice little shop in Cologne Kalk. I can only recommend the noodles. Tip: reserve in advance!!

Small, very individual shop that I would probably have walked past without the many positive reviews. Great selection of dishes, my udon noodles were very tasty and the portion was more than enough.

Insider tip in Kalk! Great ambience, delicious food but everything is vegan and there is no alcohol. If that doesn't bother you and if you like something a little more alternative, you'll really like the Nobiko!

We had the pleasure of visiting the N0biko Nudelbar in Cologne and loved it! Despite the busy atmosphere, we managed to find a seat thanks to the friendly waiter, even though we hadn't made a reservation. The food was simply outstanding – from the noodle soup to the side dishes. The only downside was the high volume/acoustics, but apart from that, the noodle bar is a cozy place that we would happily recommend. A cute little noodle bar with big flavor!

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, die Nobiko Nudelbar in Köln zu besuchen und waren begeistert! Trotz der geschäftigen Atmosphäre fanden wir dank des freundlichen Kellners noch einen Platz, obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend – von der Nudelsuppe bis zu den Beilagen. Einziger Wermutstropfen war die hohe Lautstärke / Akustik, aber abgesehen davon ist die Nudelbar ein gemütliches Plätzchen, das wir gerne weiterempfehlen. Eine süße, kleine Nudelbar mit großem Geschmack!

Little insider tip Nobiko has its own atmosphere. Everything seems a bit thrown together and that's exactly what makes it charming. I particularly liked the illustrations on the walls and the menu. The staff was really friendly and the food was really a dream. The broths in the dishes were super aromatic, something you rarely experience with vegan soups. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. I can also recommend Jurokucha, a tea with a very special taste. I'll definitely be back!

Plus point: business concept Service was okay, nice but a bit unprofessional. Unfortunately, I found the food a bit bland and, above all, not in keeping with the high price. Here it goes in the direction of what I would call “Ehrenfeld” prices. Unfortunately, it can't keep up with similar restaurants. It's a shame because I always prefer purely vegan restaurants.

Food very tasty, portions too small. A very small and delicious restaurant, unfortunately with very small portions that don't fill me (a man, 1.95m, fit), so the price/performance ratio doesn't suit me. Apart from that, very good and exceptional cuisine. Be careful, there are a lot of crowds, it's best to make a reservation.

Ich hatte dort ein sehr leckeres goldenes Udon und musste mich erst mal wieder an Essen mit Stäbchen gewöhnen (ich hätte auch nach Besteck fragen können). Zum Nachtisch gab es eine Nussecke 😋

very nice restaurant that was particularly notable for its friendly service. She gave us great advice and served us nicely. The ramen and other dishes were really tasty, although unfortunately I have no comparison as to whether the ramen was above average. we enjoyed them. The restaurant was well attended and not far from the Lanxess Arena. Thanks again to the nice lady who even hung up a painted picture of our daughter.

Our meal in Nobiko was a gastronomical symphony. It opened with a taste burst of their self fermented Kimchi, with a well balanced salt-vinegar-sugar-chili flavor. As a main dish we tried 2 of their wholemeal udon soups, the richer the tastier. For dessert we had a rapid turn to western style cakes and a perfect chocolate peanuts cookie.

Exceptional service from the moment we walked in (without reservation but would highly recommend booking as they had an endless stream of customers even at 3/4pm.) Very kid friendly with nice baby change, colouring pencils etc and friendly service. Very considerate service to suggest removing alcohol from soup base if I wanted. Lovely udon and good portion sizes. Must try the tiramisu too - best I've ever had. A hidden gem off the beaten track opposite a school. Very progressive posters and nice cosy decor. Highly recommended.

I had a Shiso-soda and spicy TanTan udon. I liked the drink. It was refreshing and not too sweet. The broth of the udon was tangy but not my favorite.

Love this place! Great little vegan Japanese restaurant in Kalk, Cologne. Everything is vegan and mostly udon noodle dishes! We had the miso udon bowl with a side of tempura and kimchi. So good! Would highly recommend. Do book ahead as this place is always busy!

Went here spontaneously and got a table. However, we only had an hour because the table was reserved. (It's cool that we got the opportunity despite having a reservation!) The food was with us in 10 minutes, so we were able to take it easy. Everything was delicious, including the dessert. Were asked several times if everything was okay. Very good service, overall a totally relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to next time!

A perfect hidden gem in an almost secret location. The food was really good and the portions were generous. There is a seasonal menu and specials but the speciality is definitely udon (the tempura was also good though). The service was friendly and welcoming. The place filled up really quickly - deserve reserve in advance!

Der kleine Laden ist super gemütlich und das Essen ist typisch und authentisch. Die Preise sind angemessen und nicht hoch. Es gibt allerdings kein klassisches japanisches Ramen, was in einigen Rezensionen zu lesen ist, sondern Udonnudeln, die u.a. In Brühe serviert werden, Tempura, etc.. Es ist sehr lecker.

My bf ordered the largest menu, its amount turned out even a bit smaller than my smallest menu… it’s totally not worth it. The food itself was well-prepared, and the powder for Udon is also pretty nice.

Falls ihr nach einem süßen ramenplace, die euch authentische Udon Ramen servieren, in einem süßen kleinen Restaurant, dann seid ihr hier genau an der richtigen addresse. Die Ramen sind nicht viel zu überladen und nicht vollgepumpt mit Glutamat, was für mich ein riesen Pluspunkt ist. Allerdings hat für mich das Ramen-Ei und die chilipaste gefehlt, weshalb ich nur 4 von 5 Sternen gebe. Aber das ist auch der einzige Kritikpunkt der mir einfällt. Der Laden ist super süß eingerichtet und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und erfüllen einem alle Wünsche. Eine absolute Empfehlung, für einen Veganen Ramenplace in Köln

Leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service, immer gut besucht. Reservierung macht durchaus Sinn. Das Ambiente ist echt schön, nur wenn man den Fensterplatz direkt an der Tür hat, ist es etwas zugig.

Die mit Abstand beste Vegane Brühe die ich kenne. Voller Geschmack und Tiefe... hier wird alles selbst gemacht, bis hin zur Shiso Limo. Alle Zutaten sind top, der leicht süßliche Tofu, die Brühe, die Limo, die Desserts usw. Vielleicht sind die links/feministischen Poster im Laden nicht für alle Besucher und Besucherinnen etwas, aber ich finde dieser Laden passt wunderbar nach Kalk. Ich bin wirklich begeistert.

Toller Laden! Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Laden ist etwas kleiner und von außen unscheinbar aber von innen einfach der absolute Knaller! Der Service war gut und stets nett und höflich. Alle Speisen sind vegan! Ihr solltet unbedingt reservieren.

Bei großem Hunger ist die rote Tan Tan sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr kleiner gemütlicher Laden mit komplett veganen Udon-Variationen und süßen Snacks. Die Suppen sind super leckere Geschmacksbomben und die Beilagen passen auch perfekt dazu. Dazu freundlicher Service und mehr als faire Preise!

Ein uriger Laden mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Die Udon (alles vegan) haben immer hohe Qualität und schmecken hervorragend, genauso wie die tagesaktuellen Kuchen/ Süßspeisen. Alles frisch ! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Alles zum Verlieben, qualitativ hochwertige vegane Gerichte ohne künstliche Zusatzstoffe, die einen von innen wärmen und sättigen, ohne träge zu machen. Und da das Restaurant als Kollektiv betrieben wird, weiß man, dass hier nicht nur keine Tiere, sondern auch keine Menschen ungerecht behandelt werden :)

vegan udon cravings in cologne? this is your place. i had the red tantan udon. not as spicy as i'd like and the soy chunks were a bit dry. the trick is to soak the chunks in the broth for a while for them to soak up the flavour of the broth. the broth itself is quite flavorful, with hints of ginger and creamy soy milk. i also had a hot tea and a mochi for dessert, coming down to less than 25€. i went alone on a sunday around 6pm and it was quite full. there were a few tables already reserved, so highly advisable to make reservations if dining with a larger group. but dining solo should be fine if. you don't mind sitting on the counter by the window.

Ein kleiner Laden in einer Kalker Seitenstrasse. Wenn man es nicht sucht, ist es schwer zu finden. Wir haben es zufällig auf dem Weg zum Cafe Rotkehlchen entdeckt und wollten es ausprobieren. Es gibt selbstgemachte Ramen mit verschiedenen Einlagen und Brühe. Die Portionsgrössen sind gut und ausreichend. Alles ist VEGAN! Wir haben verschiedene Beilagen probiert. Einmal Reis mit veganem Hack, Kinpira und Shitake Pilze. Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Als Nachtisch gab es veganen Tiramisu Kuchen und Cappucino mit Hafermilch. Der Kuchen war ok aber nicht umwerfend, aber man sollte auch nicht von einer Nudelbar einen perfekten veganen Tiramisu erwarten 😉 Im Grossen und Ganzen können wir die Nobiko Nudelbar guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Kalk macht sich und ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Das ist mal was Besonderes! Sehr sehr leckere, total frisch zubereitete japanische Speisen.... alles vegan, musste also fast nicht überlegen, was ich bestellen kann. Alle Mitarbeiter sind im Team verantwortlich, als auch sozial und politisch ein guter Ort. Sehr gemütlich auch zum draußen Sitzen. Besser reservieren.... ist gefragt!!!

Wir fanden den Platz super im das Geschehen zu beobachten 😄 Man sollte aber definitiv einen Tisch reservieren! Das Restaurant ist sehr einfach aber super eingerichtet. Manchmal braucht es eben nicht viel außer aussagekräftige Poster an der Wand! 👍 Das Essen war echt gut, den Tiramisu Kuchen fand ich persönlich nicht so überzeugend. Aber es gibt ja noch weitere Auswahl! Der Matcha Latte mit Sojadrink war super. Alles in allem auf jedenfall einen Besuch wert. Take away ist übrigens auch möglich.

Food is tasty and is completely vegan friendly which is nice. But overall it was nothing special. The place is located in a ghetto like area. The way there was not pleasant. Rather small restaurant. Would recommend if you love handmade udon noodles otherwise look for a place in a more safe and less ghetto like area

Wirklich sehr gute schmackhafte und authentische Speisen. Es wurde zudem extrem flexibel auf Sonderwünsche reagiert. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Super liebes Personal, leckeres Essen und ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Mit mehreren Personen vorher evtl. Anrufen, ob Tische frei sind. Angemessene Preise. Gern wieder.

Das Essen schmeckte mir OK bis gut. Die Portionsgrößen waren leider sehr überschaubar, zudem sind die Preise relativ hoch meiner Meinung nach. Der Service ist freundlich. Hin und wieder kamen ein paar unangenehme Gerüche aus der Bar bzw. Küchennähe, war dann aber nicht weiter störend.

Bestes Kölner Restaurant. Alles frisch und lecker, herausragende Qualität und mit Liebe gemacht. Besonders empfehlenswert sind das Rote Tantan und die An Pans.
