NiVy Sushi & Grill Haan in Haan

Sorry friends, but I can't confirm the good reviews. I ate there alone. I ordered gyosa and crunchy vegetarian. The gyosa were brown, hard, and full of fat. And then came the sushi. It was nicely presented, but that was about it. Again, it was very greasy and the flavor wasn't well-rounded. I just can't recognize good food (at least when I ate there today). It seemed like the fat had already been through quite a bit. The fat at various fast food restaurants is actually fresher. I may be doing the chef an injustice. But it was nothing. Nothing at all. I won't be back. Definitely not.

Sushi is simply amazing! I haven't eaten such delicious vegetarian sushi in a long time.

I've been eating there for about a year, and today was definitely the last time. We ordered takeout, and when I got home, I noticed that there were not just one, but two dead bugs in my food (there may have been more, but of course, I didn't eat any more). Unfortunately, that's completely unacceptable; I felt pretty disgusting after eating that food. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it (anymore).

The food is excellent, but two items were missing from an order of €120, and the restaurant refused to resupply the items or issue a credit, stating "the delivery was correct."

I ordered and still haven't received my food after 1 hour and 45 minutes. I called twice, saying the driver was on his way. I called 45 minutes ago, and the driver seems to be driving in circles. It's outrageous, and then to say a 40-minute delivery time is a disgrace.

This is my second visit. All the food is freshly prepared and tastes delicious! Very friendly and attentive staff. The manager is always there to help! I'd be happy to come back. Thumbs up and thank you!

We ordered food at 6:30 p.m., and now it's 8:30 p.m. For over €120. As delicious as it seems, there are families with children, so you have to, or rather, should, let them know. It's a shame that such a high-quality restaurant is damaging its reputation because of its greed for profit. I don't know if we'd want to order from there again...

Unfortunately, we waited two hours for the food we ordered, and asked several times! The food wasn't particularly good either! However, I have to say the sushi was very good! But still, never again!

Good sushi, friendly staff, clean restrooms. The rice paper on the summer rolls was a bit too hard. The unagi and the special sauce were too sweet for me personally, but all in all, we had a nice visit and would gladly come back.

Super delicious food. We've had food delivered before and were surprised by the quality. Today we went in person and really enjoyed it. The sushi was very fresh and beautifully presented. My wife had a curry, which she also really enjoyed. She particularly praised the flavorful, delicious tofu in the curry. The ambiance of the shop doesn't really match the food; the dining area feels more Mediterranean than Asian, but that doesn't detract from the good food. The staff were also very friendly and unobtrusive, charming. Overall, a clear recommendation. We'd love to come back next time we're in Haan.

This was our second time there and it certainly won't be the last time! Super tasty sushi, fried noodles and the curry were really tasty, as was the mochi ice cream and also the black sesame ice cream and the baked banana. The service was also very friendly and patient when we couldn't decide and it took a long time! Highly recommended!

Delicious Sushi and Sashimi. The Wok dishes are also delicious. When I'm in Haan, I always eat here. Nice location on a square with a fountain. For moderately spicy, Black Pepper Beef wok is a must-try. I thought the "butterfisch" was a tasty Sashimi. Happy eating!!

Authentic taste like in Thailand! The Thai Red Curry was incredibly delicious – just like in Thailand! The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced. The restaurant itself is also beautifully designed and invites you to linger. Attentive service! Absolute recommendation for anyone who loves real Thai food!

When you come in on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and are told that "they won't be up much longer." It's a strange feeling... There was no sushi at all (IN A SUSHI RESTAURANT!) because (quote) "The boss is just delivering". The Bun Bo was extremely greasy, and the "children's chicken skewers" were so wobbly that the child spurned them. Strangely enough, the boss was back later and the shop filled up a bit more. Did the waitress feel like it and wanted to make it quick because “there’s no one there anymore”?

Top sushi and service. A wide selection of sushi and drinks. Quiet atmosphere, which we really liked. Therefore a clear recommendation.

We were pleasantly surprised. It was our first time here :) but I have to say, the food was amazing. From the service to the chef, everything was top-notch! The price/performance ratio is really good; you can't complain. The portions are generous, too. The cocktails are good, too. I highly recommend it.

I was there with a friend last week and ordered the "Grilled Seafood" plate for a whopping €24.50. It was ok, but unfortunately it couldn't satisfy my cravings. The plate was simply too small for that. Great, very friendly staff, grade 1+

When we are in Haan we always like to stop at Nivy. Very attentive service and a special meal.

For me one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Everything is freshly prepared and you can taste it. The price is certainly a little higher than at the well-known all you can eat stalls. But it's worth it too.

The first visit last year brought me here because of the voucher book. Last week I wanted to go out to eat with my dear colleague on Sunday straight after work and we were looking for an Asian restaurant that was open at 4:30 p.m. So we came from Remscheid to Haan and didn't regret a kilometer. She ordered a curry with vegetables and I ordered a bowl with tuna. At first I was surprised because I had assumed the fish would be served raw, but it was briefly grilled. And it was just delicious. We are happy to accept the journey from Remscheid. It was delicious again

Wir wollten mit unserem Sohn einen Anlass feiern, aber das war ein Schuss in den Ofen. Die Bedienung, vor allem die weibliche, ist unfreundlich, die anderen sind zwar bemüht, aber inkompetent. Als das falsche Gericht kam, haben wir sofort reklamiert und nach einiger Zeit das richtige Sushi bekommen. Das andere wurde stehen gelassen und später berechnet. Als wir reklamierten, hieß es, wir hätten es gegessen. (ist doch besser als wegwerfen!!!) Die Rechnung war extrem hoch, das Essen schlecht und wir waren das letzte Mal dort, weil der Abend verdorben war.

The food was mediocre. Sweet sour sauce was too spicy. Not like a normal sweet. The shredded carrots was warm, dry and booooring. The shrimp still had its intestinal organs inside of it. The mojito was like cold water. Nothing special. The service was OK. :/ The man server was understanding and funny. Made a joke about getting whiskey coke, which was funny since I ordered a regular coke. Female server was negative and should smile more.

A mild summer evening, the terrace is packed, Haan summer is in full swing. The Kirin tastes good and bridges the slightly longer waiting time than usual - sushi just has to be made fresh! The service is funny and friendly, the dog gets water without asking, the food tastes fantastic, what more could you want??? We keep coming back 😊

Our first time at Nivy today - Nice little restaurant; light, stylish, unpretentious atmosphere - but the toilet area smelled, which I can relate to. The service staff are very attentive, although visibly bored, which spoils your impression, but were always on hand to give advice and help. The sushi is draped beautifully and slightly artistically - according to the motto "the eye eats with you". In my opinion, there is still a lot of room for improvement with the wok dish (pepper beef); crunchy seasonal vegetables, as promised, but mediocrely prepared. The sauce doesn't have enough kick (from the perspective of an experienced gravy maker) and is based too much on the name - too peppery. You can clearly see it is a “niche product”.

Food was super tasty. Unfortunately the service wasn't that good. I ordered the homemade iced tea and it tasted very bitter, so it was bad. I was then told it was without sugar and that couldn't be right, etc. I just know the difference because I worked in the catering industry myself and we also offered iced tea. I ended up ordering a coke instead, the sad thing was I was charged for the iced tea!!! I didn't even take a sip of it!!! Then I could have left it and not ordered it. I didn't think it was very customer friendly, but that wasn't even meant in a bad way.

We had dinner here with 7 people at 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday. The restaurant was very busy and it was easy to reserve a table via the homepage. Very friendly welcome and nice service. The food was of excellent quality and the plates were well stocked. The selection of drinks matches the style of the house - very well. After the meal we were able to enjoy drinks and a bit of smoking in the outdoor area. Conclusion: VERY GOOD - MY RECOMMENDATION!!!

Unfortunately, I have to focus on the absolutely poor service here. The food was okay, but the portions were rather small. What doesn't work at all: When the main courses were brought, we discovered that one of the dishes didn't correspond to my order. The fact that the unfriendly and very probably untrained waitress then accuses me of having ordered this is not possible. Reluctantly the right dish was brought, quality so-so. After that we were ignored for the rest of the evening, no questions asked about more drinks or what the food was like. After we had to fetch a waiter ourselves to pay and asked him about the non-existent service, we only received a tired shrug of the shoulders. The empty plates and glasses simply remained on the table even after payment. Sorry, that's not possible, you'll never see us here again, it's better to go to a fast food restaurant... underground!

Erst wurde das falsche Essen gebracht, dann wird einem von der grotenschlechten Kellnernin noch unterstellt von der man hätte das Essen bestellt…. Widerwillig wurde das bestellte Essen dann gebracht.Dann wurden wir überhaupt nicht mehr bedient, keine Nachfrage nach weiteren Getränken, nichts.Die leeren Teller und Gläser blieben sogar nach der Bezahlung, wofür wir den Kellner selbst holen mussten, einfach stehen. Auf Ansprache auf diesen „ Service „ bekamen wir ein Schulterzucken….So nicht, dort sieht man uns jedenfalls nie wieder! Einfach unterirdisch !

Unfortunately not completely vegan, as one reviewer previously wrote. But that may also be because sushi IS NOT VEGAN. Good thing I like eating meat and poultry 😉 Gladly again!

Service ist aufmerksam - Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Mann kann hier gut vietnamesisch bzw. Sushi essen. Ein Nachteil: wenn das Restaurant voll besucht ist, ist es sehr laut und man kann sich nur schwer unterhalten.

Yesterday I had my beloved sushi again. For me, the place always had the best sushi. Unfortunately I was disappointed yesterday. The sushi are soooo small. This was halved or quartered so that the number is as shown on the card. The baked roll also became really narrow. I'm really sad. I know that it's difficult to get value for money these days when you consider all the costs. I'm the last one to complain about it, I love eating out too much. I understand that, but what I had on my plate yesterday was really very disappointing, a shame. I will now look for other sushi shops.

Very nice restaurant in Haan. The Tori Chicken Sushi was very good. The summer rolls have a very good dip. With the steak, however, you should definitely say which level of doneness you want. The menu says medium-well, but the steak was very bloody. Still 5 stars because the restaurant solved this very well. Absolutely to suggest!

Schönes Lokal, modern eingerichtet. Leider nicht beheizt (wir waren um 17 Uhr da). Service war okay - die Kellnerin hatte einen gleichgültigen Eindruck gemacht, ich denke ein Lächeln sollte schon drin sein. Essen war nichts besonderes - bei den Preisen habe ich ein wenig mehr erwartet. Geschmack ist jedoch was sehr subjektives und wahrscheinlich hat es nur mir nicht so sehr geschmeckt - die Mehrheit der Besucher sind da anderer Meinung und das ist auch okay so. Die Bilder auf der Speisekarte waren sehr schön - die Portionen die ankamen, waren meiner Meinung nach klein.

Wir waren während der Woche zu zweit hier essen. Das Restaurant ist ganz nett eingerichtet. Man kann gemütlich sitzen. Wir hatten Sushi und Gyoza bestellt. Beides lecker. Ich hatte zwar schon besseres Sushi - aber es war trotzdem gut. Etwas befremdlich war es allerdings, dass man eine Wand im Restaurant strich, während noch Gäste da waren. Das muss wirklich nicht sein.

Hübsches und gemütliches Restaurant mit toller Auswahl an Speisen. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und hat geschmeckt. Einzig würde ich bemängeln, dass die Portion Reis im Verhältnis zum Curry nicht ausreichend ist. Das sollte man dringend überdenken. Ansonsten klare Weiterempfehlung!

Angenehmer und leckerer Besuch. Gerne wieder.
