Nightingale Thai Cuisine & Bar in Dachau

A very pleasant atmosphere with extremely good food. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is busy, so reservations are often necessary. Also, be aware that tables are available for reservation every two hours. We were informed of this as we were sitting down. This initially surprised us a little. We had reserved a table for our anniversary a month in advance. Being told as soon as we sat down that we have to be ready in two hours because the table has already been booked spoils the mood a bit and is, in my opinion, somewhat unnecessary. It also made us less inclined to order more drinks, etc. For special occasions, it might be better to call and ask if you can stay a little longer. We would have at least liked to have been informed of this when making the reservation, rather than at the table before we sat down.

Unfortunately, I don't live in Dachau, so I can only enjoy the excellent food at the Nightingale very rarely. I was truly impressed by the selection and the food. The menu isn't the usual boring selection everyone is used to, but also features more special dishes (starter, for example, the winged bean salad, which is absolutely delicious). The food is cooked authentically by a Thai (not a Chinese or Vietnamese, as is often the case in such restaurants). Probably one of the best restaurants outside of Thailand, in my opinion. There's a special menu for allergy sufferers, which is, of course, very convenient.

Upscale cuisine and correspondingly higher prices. The taste was absolutely delicious. Very friendly service, and we received excellent advice. We had to wait a bit long for our food, apparently due to our upcoming vacation. :-)

The ambiance is very nice, and the service was unbeatable. Fast, friendly, and competent. We were very disappointed with the food. I lived in Thailand for over a year and know and love both Thai street food from the street markets and traditional Thai cuisine. No matter what we had, it was all truly subpar. The popcorn chicken wasn't "popcorn." It was tough and dry because it was completely overcooked and not crunchy, as it should be. The portion was a joke. The curry was simply boring. Hardly any Thai spices, a tiny portion, and not enough sauce. Very disappointing. The papaya salad was mediocre, not spicy, and not "refreshing" enough. It would have benefited greatly from a generous portion of lime juice, chili pepper, shrimp paste, and fish sauce. Only the coconut shrimp were tasty, unfortunately with mayo and not with the accompanying sweet and sour Thai dip. And the prices were very high. A shame.

Very attentive service, although they kept asking for more orders (water? appetizers? desserts?). The food (chicken breast with peanuts) was good, but a bit boring. And I don't like the shift system either (the first shift finishes promptly at 8 p.m.)!

I give the restaurant 4 stars. I love Thai food, but this didn't quite live up to my expectations. The taste was far from authentic Thai food. Nevertheless, the ambiance was very nice – stylish decor and a pleasant atmosphere positively influenced the experience.

Unfortunately, no one answers the phone to reserve a table, even though the restaurant is open. What a pity.

The dishes were specifically ordered "Thai spicy" – but the service was at best mild. Considering the prices, there's still room for improvement in terms of flavor. - Massaman curry: good, with a decent paste. - Chicken with stir-fried vegetables: average in taste. - Laab Gai: solid, but lacked fine-tuning. - Pad Krapao: good, but could have been more intensely seasoned. Positive: we asked for the fried egg – negative: €3 surcharge, without any indication. In Thailand, the egg is simply part of the experience. - Som Tam (papaya salad): fresh, but zero spice and no fermented shrimp – therefore too bland. Summary of the food: Solid, but heavily adapted to European tastes. It lacks the depth of authentic Thai cuisine. Service: The waiter was very friendly, attentive, and confident – he had everything under control. The waitress seemed a bit unfamiliar with the process. When making the reservation, I had to step up and approach her myself because she couldn't immediately identify us. Overall, the waiter was pleasant and attentive.

It's definitely worth trying once. The food is good quality and tastes good. But the service, unfortunately, isn't up to scratch.

Everything is just right here. That's why we've been here several times and will be coming back more often. The young team really puts in the effort, and you can tell from the first to the last second. No matter what I've ordered so far, it's always been delicious. Even if one or two of the creations on the menu sound a bit wild, the kitchen staff have it all under control and conjure up fantastic food! The service and the bar also do a great job. There's definitely nothing left to be desired here. The same goes for the modern yet very cozy ambiance. Simply great! If there's anything to criticize at all, it's perhaps the fact that it can get a bit loud when the restaurant is fully booked. Perhaps not ideal for a "get-to-know-you" date. But it doesn't bother me—quite the opposite. A bit of nightlife and the entire Nightingale restaurant are a great addition to the otherwise unfortunately rather deserted old town of Dachau.

An excellent Thai restaurant in a modern and chic setting, combining a restaurant and bar. Lunchtime offers very reasonably priced dishes, such as breaded shrimp (€12) with a slightly spicy coconut mayonnaise, and a main course of rice with grilled vegetables, fried chicken, cashews, and a sauce that ties it all together (€14.90). Generous portions and absolute quality. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent. For the price you could also expect trained staff. Serving glasses by grabbing the top rim of the glass is not very professional. In addition, part of the order only came upon request.

We were there early in the evening yesterday and had the perch on the street, which is of course stupid for entertaining. We only had a 2 hour slot and it's all about relaxing and eating nothing. But with choosing a starter and main course, 2 hours are very time-consuming. The food was very good and the service was very friendly (even when serving)!! If you just want good food, highly recommended.

My wife sent me the Nightingale Google link weeks ago and I surprised her tonight by taking her and the family to Nightingale Thai Cuisine in Dachau. We had an excellent experience. Very pretty restaurant, lovely creative food presentation, delicious food! Definitely a winner!

We went to this restaurant in Dachau for lunch and we enjoyed our stay. The food was good. The service is attentive, friendly and humorous. The interior is modern and tastefully designed. We will soon visit this location in the evening, where the menu should be more extensive. Cashless payment is possible. A reservation is recommended. We found a parking space nearby.

From the welcome to the last, a great evening. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive and you could also tell how proud he is of the restaurant. Rightly so. The food was authentic and very, very tasty. All tables were occupied and the noise level was high but not unbearable. We really appreciated the atmosphere, modern and cozy at the same time. We will come again, the next date has already been set.

I really loved the Nightingale Thai Cuisine & Bar! The food was incredibly delicious – freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned and authentically Thai. Every dish was a pleasure and you can tell that the cooking here is done with great attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the super friendly and attentive service. You feel welcome and well looked after right from the start. The ambience is also very inviting and harmonious, so that you feel completely at home. If you are looking for great Thai food in a pleasant atmosphere, you should definitely stop by here - an absolute recommendation!

The coolest thing is the super friendly staff. Great food, “something different”. Excellent quality. “Wine list” (?) too thin for me, but varied items. Could be more food based. In itself a nice restaurant, but the prices are very high (7.20 for a 0.75 liter of water and 19 (!!) euros for a vegetable side dish, which would then be discounted by 3.80 euros because there was no rice as stated on the menu - so then 15.20 for a cup-sized portion of vegetables). The most shameful thing was that our table was only available for 2 hours and suddenly the bill was on the table without being asked for because the table was occupied again afterwards. With a turnover of almost 300 euros, we had hoped to be able to sit there a little longer. The last drink we ordered didn't come either, but it was on the bill. A faux pas at this (price) level.

The food was very good, and the homemade lemonade is also highly recommended. The service was top and the atmosphere is very nice. Despite the full house, the noise level was pleasant and the waiters were on point. The portions are somewhat manageable, but if you're hungry, you're well advised to have a starter.

We were here yesterday on February 3rd. Really wonderful. It is definitely something special that you like to spend money on. We had starters, main courses and dessert which were all sensational. Will definitely come back.

To be honest, I can't fully understand the hype and inclusion in the Michelin Guide. The service was nice and friendly, but also a bit arrogant. The food was beautifully presented, but my dish (crispy pork belly) was more pleasing to the eye than to the palate. Apart from the chili and oyster sauce, the pork belly and water spinach were absolutely tasteless. An extra fried egg for THREE euros, which wasn't mentioned by the way, didn't make the whole thing go away. To top it all off, a 0.75l of water arrives OPEN at the table at a price of €7.40. Not actually permitted according to the mineral water regulations. All in all, for my taste, the focus here is more on the show and hip & style and that's what you pay for. There are better Thai people, even in Dachau.

Wir sind heute Mittag ganz spontan Ins Nightingale gegangen. Es war noch ein schöner Tisch in dem gut besuchten Lokal frei, der uns auch direkt angeboten wurde. Wir haben uns Gerichte von der Mittagskarte ausgesucht, die uns sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Sehr gerne wieder…das nächste mal mit Freunden um mit ihnen in diesem sehr ansprechenden Restaurant zu essen.

Always delicious and there's actually nothing wrong with it. However, as soon as the great food is served, you are now kindly informed that you have to leave again in 2 hours. I think that's clear to everyone, it's included in the reservation etc. But that's kind of a turn-off for a lovely evening... I think communication can be made better without destroying the flair.

Everything is just right here. Heavenly food, soothing service, attentive staff and the ambience is cozy. It's like a little vacation for every nice occasion. Of course we'll be back!

Derzeit wohl das Beste Lokal in Dachau. Wir haben wunderbar gegessen. Das Lokal sehr schön und der Service einmalig. Wir werden Stammgäste.

Zwar von Michelin empfohlen, was wir aber tatsächlich nicht bestätigen wollen. Das Essen war lauwarm, die Saucen geschmacklich alle gleich , nur mit anderen Inhalten. Es wird zudem mit Sharing geworben, man muss allerdings um jeden zusätzlichen Teller kämpfen / bitten , um nicht Tatar mit Kokossauce zu vermischen. Beim Hauptgang der Sharingteller dann die Reisschüssel für jeden. Ein No go. Insgesamt zwar ein guter Thailänder , aber die Erwartungshaltung war für eine Empfehlung des Michelin doch eine andere. Wohl zu hoch angesetzt. Schade. Der Anfahrtsweg von 40 km nicht wert.

Our son, with whom we are staying in Munich, booked this restaurant as a surprise for our family, as we are all Nightingales! Everything was good apart from the fact that we believe that the couple who usually run the restaurant were not there that night. We were surprised that no one made a connection between our family name and the name of the restaurant. So we were slightly disappointed when we left and drove back to Munich. We feel that eateries should strive to make connections with their customers and this clearly did not happen on this occasion.

Das Essen war wirklich gut. Leider entpuppte sich der reservierte Hochtisch als Theke im Fenster, an welcher man nebeneinander saß, nicht gegenüber. Das Essen wurde auf der nackten Tischplatte serviert, nach der Vorspeise wurden wir gefragt, ob wir neues Besteck haben möchten. Die zerknitterte Serviette hat sicher noch nie ein Bügeleisen gesehen, der gräuliche Farbton war unappetitlich. Der Kellner drängte sich beim Servieren ständig ohne Vorwarnung zwischen uns, beim Aperitif forderte er uns gar auf, doch mal Platz zu machen. Anscheinend hat ihm noch niemand gesagt, dass in der gehobenen Gastronomie - und das möchte das Nightingale doch den Preisen nach zu schließen ganz offensichtlich sein - dezent von rechts serviert wird und der beste Kellner der ist, den man kaum bemerkt. Fazit: Richtig gutes Essen, leider nicht mehr. Sehr schade und somit das Geld nicht wert.

Wir sollten im ersten Slot um 18:00 Uhr essen. Wir waren pünktlich, um 18:05 waren die Bestellungen aufgegeben. Der Appetitanreger kam prommt, danach jedoch nichts mehr. Wir warteten über 1 Stunde vergeblich auf unser Hauptgericht. Eine Nachfrage beim Kellner : " es geht in der Küche in der Reihenfolge der Eingänge ". Seltsammerweise hat der Nebentisch, dessen Gäste ca. 40 Minuten nach uns kamen, bereits das Haputgericht. Nach 1 h 25 min. kam dann endlich das Essen. Zu einem Nachtisch reichte es nicht mehr, da wir bereits 19:55 hatten, als unser Hauptgericht fertig gegessen war, und der 2. Slot der Gäste ab 20:00Uhr erwartet wude. Ein Preisnachlass um 20% hat diesen Schaden auch nicht mehr getilgt.

Tolles Ambiente, super netter Empfang, ausgezeichnete Beratung und das Essen ein Traum. Jederzeit wieder.

Certainly a great address for the evening. But be careful! The restaurant has recently been open for lunch and unfortunately the food served is pure disgrace. Reduced to an absolute minimum and almost as expensive as in the evening. That's not possible, dear people!

Mega store, mega food, top service. The food is authentic and perfect, the atmosphere, music and drinks are great. Great service, especially the young man with a well-groomed beard!!!

Where should I start? After I read a newspaper article about this piece of gold in our old town in Dachau, a table was reserved straight away. Two starters, two main courses, and several drinks later, we were absolutely speechless. Taste experience at its finest. The two starters were so good that next time we will only order starters. The Massaman Curry and Pad Thai were an absolute delight.

Sensationell gute & moderne Thai Küche. Jedes Gericht bot wahre Geschmacksexplosionen, tolle Aromen und Texturen! Die Getränkekarte ist auch wirklich sehr gut ausgewählt. Dazu sehr nettes Servicepersonal. Die atomosphäre im Lokal ist genau richtig und selbst an der Bar fühlt man sich sehr wohl.

Sehr leckere Kreationen der Speisen, sowohl von der Tellersprache als auch vom Geschmack. Es ist alles stimmig Essen, Ambiente und Service. Sehr netter zuvorkommender Service, kompetent und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

There is also a good selection of vegan dishes. My favorite was the coconut prawns as a starter and the Pad Thai as the main course – Be sure to make a reservation, even during the week, as the restaurant is busy. We had a very nice evening and would love to come back.

The selection of drinks is impressive, the cocktails are particularly noteworthy. I have rarely experienced such pleasant and courteous service. As soon as you walked in you immediately felt welcome. Tolles Team, sehr gutes Essen und sehr schöne Atmosphäre

Die Meinungen über das Lokal gingen bei uns weit auseinander. Wie man bei TripAdvisor erkennen kann habe ich hier weit über 300 internationale Bewertungen abgegeben und bilde mir ein Restaurants gut beurteilen zu können.. Die Einrichtung ist Top. Der Innenarchitekt hat hervorragende Arbeit geleistet. Auch der Sanitärbereich gehobenes Niveau mit Stoffhandtücher etc. Positiv fällt auf, dass es zahlreiche Cocktails auch in alkoholfreier Variante gibt. Auch Gerichte abgewandelt in vegetarischer Ausführung angeboten werden. Keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Service ist extrem höflich und zuvorkommend. Aber gerade da gingen die Meinungen gewaltig auseinander. Es wurde weit over the Top empfunden. Zuviel des Guten. Einige Tische ( einen davon hatten wir) sind schlichtweg ungemütlich und so in der Einflugschneise, dass es unangenehm ist. Essen war gut. Jedoch wenn bei der Vorspeisenauswahl überwiegend frittierte Varianten angeboten werden, dann ist das für ein Restaurant dieses Anspruchs zu wenig. Da zahle ich lieber 3 Euro für kreative cuisine mehr. Hauptgerichte waren in Ordnung. Wobei wir bei der vegetarischen Variante gerätselt haben, ob das Gemüse doch aus der Tiefkühltruhe war. Weine kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich momentan eine alkoholfreie Phase habe. Wir hatten gemeinsam (4 Leute) rund 190 € ohne Weine gelassen. Wenn ich das mit manch anderem Lokal vergleiche? Dann bin auch ich gespalten.

The common thread runs through it all and it's just fun to eat there and discover the small, loving details that give this great overall impression. Clear recommendation to try generously through the starters.

Nine of us stayed at the Nightingale to celebrate a birthday. The entire stay was absolutely PERFECT! Super nice atmosphere - very modern, cozy and beautiful. The food was top class - whether it was massaman curry, fried sea bass fillet, chicken popcorn, pad thai or the matcha lava cake. The cocktails were also very tasty and visually very appealing. The service team was very accommodating and extremely friendly. It was our first, but definitely not last, time at the Nightingale. An enrichment for Dachau! PS: Entry in the Michelin Guide is more than deserved!

Wir waren am 29. Oktober 2024 das erste Mal in Eurem Restaurant und waren begeistert - wir haben uns von Beginn an sehr wohlgefühlt....angenehmes Ambiente, hervorragende Küche von Vorspeise über Hauptgang und Dessert und ein sehr aufmerksamer Service. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist völlig angemessen - hier war jeder Bissen ein Genuss und auch der Rose-Wein war richtig temperiert und von guter Qualität. Häufig sind asiatische Restaurants und Weine ja eher keine "guten Freunde". Wir kommen wieder!

Aufmerksame Kellnerin und freundliche Begrüßung vom Servicepersonal. Wohl gefühlt haben wir uns anfangs sehr und Vorspeise, Hauptgericht sowie Nachspeise waren top. Reservierung wurde für 18:00 vorgenommen. Allerdings haben wir die Rechnung ohne zu fragen vor der Nachspeise erhalten und wurden Punkt 20:00 gebeten unseren Tisch zu verlassen (da lt. Bestimmungen nur für 2 h reserviert ist) Es waren theoretisch noch Plätze an der Bar frei und niemand stand an. Das hat uns dann doch ein bisschen gewundert, dass wir quasi freundlich aber bestimmend rausgebeten wurden. D.h. wenn ich nicht viel Zeit einplane und „nur“ essen möchte, würde ich wieder hingehen. Allerdings hat der letzte Eindruck und das Gefühl gegen Ende leider dazu geführt, dass wir uns nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt haben und daher möchte ich erstmal nicht so schnell wieder hingehen bis eventuell gar nicht mehr - schade!

I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, which came highly recommended by a colleague, and it did not disappoint! We ordered Pad Thai, Chicken Breast, Wolfbarsch with Chili Sauce, and Duck Curry. The first bite of the Duck Curry and the first sip of Thai Iced Tea instantly took me back to my days living in Singapore. It was that good—truly authentic flavors! The service was also outstanding. I was so caught up in the evening’s festivities that I forgot to ask for our server’s name, but a huge thank you to the entire team for making it such a memorable experience. And the ambiance? Absolutely lovely—warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion. If you’re a fan of great food, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere, this place is a must-visit! PS don’t forget to order desserts!

Wir waren im Rahmen des 17. Geburtstages meiner Tochter dort. Das Essen ist mega lecker, allerdings haben wir ein wenig lang warten müssen. Aber das ganze Ambiente und das Essen ist es definitiv wert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Eine Bereicherung für Dachau!!

Thai cuisine is definitely different from what we usually know in Germany - great flavors and rightly popular in Dachau. Service is sometimes a bit understaffed, with groups it can take a really long time until everyone has something to eat - unfortunately a bit too long even for fresh and good food. Hospitality and good drinks help to bridge the waiting time.

Very good Thai in a modern atmosphere

Zu meinem Geburtstag waren wir dort, ein Traum. So wünscht man sich einen wunderschönen Abend. Vom Jacke abnehmen, bis hin zu Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamtkeit, Ambiente, das Essen, die Cocktails - es hat alles gepasst. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Immer wieder ein tolles Geschmackserlebnis!! Sehr schönes Ambiente und sehr freundluches und aufmerksames Personal. Reservierung empfohlen sonst wird es schwer einen Platz zu bekommen, da das Restaurant nicht sehr gross ist.

Sehr schön in der Dachauer Altstadt gelegenes Thai-Restaurant mit geschmackvoll moderner Inneneinrichtung und Außenbereich (wetterabhängig). Unser Kellner beherrschte die Kunst der Kommunikation mit den Gästen perfekt und war bei der Auswahl der Speisen und Getränke behilflich, was wir als erstmalige Besucher sehr zu schätzen wussten. So konnten wir einen rundum gelungenen Abend verbringen. Danke!

Ist o. K habe aber in Deutschland schon besser Thai gegessen

Schon lange kein so leckeres Thailändisch mehr gegessen. Das Ambiente war sehr schön und stylisch. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett, Zuvorkommend, gut gelaunt und haben uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Eine Top Adresse in Dachau und wir kommen gerne wieder :) Danke für den tollen Abend
