Night Kitchen in Berlin

I received a voucher as a gift from my work colleagues. There was a handwritten voucher code on the voucher. I have no idea what exactly went wrong, but in the end the voucher was deemed invalid and we had to pay for the meal in full ourselves. 60 euros wasted / simply gone. Maybe it would be better to print out the voucher codes, so there is less risk of human error. The scribble wasn't easy to read. Other than that, the food was solid but not amazing. I thought it was okay, my sister was rather dissatisfied. Our seat was in the back room, which made the stay a little more pleasant compared to the busy main room. You could also smoke outside via the emergency exit. The two of us paid 95 euros including drinks and tips. We both only had one main course. That's way too expensive. I wouldn't go there again. It was too expensive and the alleged invalidity of the voucher felt like fraud. Levantine cuisine is also available in various other places in Berlin, in better ones.

Chic London style place. Welcoming! A nice mix between a pub and a contemporary style restaurant. Nice variety of dishes, from pasta to meat. Small note to be in the know: in most cases, they are all slightly spicy dishes. Special combinations. So don't come if you want traditional food. Dish of the evening, stew/beef with potatoes. There is the possibility of making an all-you-can-eat menu and deciding whether you also want to include drinking inside. Good alternative if you want to eat something different and stay in a nice cool place!

We went for dinner and the food was very good, the staff super friendly. Beautiful environment and also where the restaurant is located (inside a courtyard) absolutely recommended, we will return.

We spontaneously celebrated New Year's Eve there and had the best time. The food is fantastic, but the highlight was our barman, who was so courteous and funny. If you like cozy, relaxed and sociable atmospheres, then this is the store. It is important to reserve.

very charming place, great food, worth the price you pay. I don't give 4 stars because despite the kindness the guys seemed very distracted, they forgot things after ordering them, I had asked to include a specific dish in the tasting menu and they no longer brought it, plus it was my birthday and my boy had asked to put a candle on the dessert, and they forgot there too... Perhaps due to the quantity of people, but with such a high price of the dishes I expect the same attention in the service

Disappointed this time at Night Kitchen. Misleading communications. Dinner was much more expensive, wine wasn’t included as usual, and a set menu for the evening didn’t allow us to order favorites. None of this was communicated beforehand when asking.

We discovered the restaurant by chance and luckily got in without a reservation. We've been fans ever since. Now we treated ourselves to dinner with friends. And with that we arrived in the 7th culinary heaven. Everything was simply delicious. And even my fiancé, who usually avoids aubergine and cauliflower, is now a fan of these vegetables as long as they are prepared brilliantly like here. So thank you very much for broadening your horizons. We will definitely come back. My personal absolute highlight among all the highlights: the beef cheeks with butter mashed potatoes and espresso sauce.

Unrealistically delicious! I recommend just ordering a set for 70€ instead of alcohol for one person, and it includes appetizers, main courses and desserts

Just a fabulous experience. Wonderful food, super friendly staff and fantastic value. A great place for a family reunion or a meal with friends. Highly recommended. What’s really good is if you have varied diets around the table they bring dishes to match so no one feels like they are missing out or an afterthought. They accommodated vegetarian, pescatarian, meat eating and vegan. Great value if you go for the €70 a head for all your food and drinks.

We had a wonderful evening at Night Kitchen! As a group of seven (two families with kids), we were amazed by the outstanding service—friendly, fast, and super accommodating. I have visited Night Kitchen Berlin before and enjoyed their food, which is why I decided to bring my family and friends for a special dinner. We were a group of 11 and opted for the “Friends Menu” fixed menu concept. Unfortunately, our experience this time was very disappointing. The evening began with only two burrata cheeses being served for the entire table, which was clearly insufficient for a group of our size. When we politely requested that three portions of the upcoming dishes be brought to better suit our group, things took an unpleasant turn. Despite eating and enjoying over 90% of the dishes, the waiter made an unnecessary and disrespectful comment about some garnishes or side dishes being left unfinished. When we expressed that this behavior was unprofessional, instead of resolving the issue, the waiter continued to argue with us. It’s unacceptable for guests to be criticized in this way—especially when most of the food was eaten and appreciated. No one can be expected to finish every single item, and such behavior from the staff completely ruined the evening for us. While I have enjoyed the food at Night Kitchen in the past, this experience left us feeling judged and unwelcome. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no guest should be made to feel this way.

Nice service, great food. The all-you-can-eat menu which also includes alcohol offers a choice of wines that I think are a little scrause (the ones with the plastic cap). The price is definitely not for everyone, but I wouldn't recommend the experience for the food. Maybe by taking the dishes separately you could spend less and still eat well.

Love the dinner with friends concept, beyond chefs menu but also with plates to share as a group experience. However, service failed the timing of the menu and courses. We had second course items arriving with our first course, cussing food to be rushed and easily get cold. We also got the drink option with the menu, but struggled to find service for a refill after only our first glass. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent, just a few wrinkles that should be sorted for a smooth dining experience

Rude staff Over the last year I've eaten there and I've had to wait hours for food so they bring the wrong thing.

Everything was amazing at the Night Kitchen - the ambience, the staff, the concept, and, most importantly, the food. 'Dinner with friends' is a great idea and the best way to eat here. Exceptionally generous, it seems they keep bringing food until you can eat no more. We mentioned that we loved the beef cheek dish when the staff asked how everything was - they brought out another plate of beef cheeks! 😂 Particular highlights were the aforementioned beef cheeks, the chicken amba, and the fried cauliflower. Also worth noting is the addition of unlimited drinks for 2.5 hours. We were a little confused by the translation and thought the meal was €56 (a bargain btw) and another €70 for the unlimited drinks. No, it was €70 for all food and drinks. The staff member was kind enough to put us on the all you can drink offer without asking as we would've paid more going separate. Very kind.

We spent an evening here with dinner for friends and were very positively surprised, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it, the drinks were also great. All in all, it was a very nice evening where everyone was full.

We had a wonderful evening in the Night Kitchen. Great concept of sharing the dishes, but we still didn't decide on the menu because we couldn't choose the dishes. We particularly liked the beetroot salad, tuna ceviche and chicken. Unfortunately, we ordered too many dishes a la carte and would have needed a little more help from the waitress because we couldn't estimate the portions. The service was very courteous and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Thanks for a lovely evening and we'll be back when we're in town.

Hey, I am sorry to do this but I hope you will contact me. I made a reservation for 25th January 6:30PM for 6 people knowing full well I would be charged the atrocious amount of 15EUR pp if I didn’t cancel at least one day in advance (and I don’t think as a business you don’t even need this because I would also be more than delighted to be able to book with you last minute but let’s say you’re annoyed by last minute cancellation and want some more free cash flow, fine). In the end, because several people on my team got sick, I had to cancel the reservation - and I did that in the morning of 24th Jan at 09:39AM, which, even if you are not a math genius you would know, is more than 24 hours before my reservation was scheduled to happen (32 hours, 21 minutes to be exact) - please see the screenshot for reservation cancellation confirmation email. However, today when I check my account I see you’ve charged me 90EUR. I am NOT okay with this - based on our time understanding, one day is 24 hours so technically I cancelled more than one day before. Here is what your email tells me about cancellation policy: “No-shows or cancellations less than 1 day in advance will be subject to a charge of €15 per person.” I am beyond disappointed that I was charged the cancellation fine despite the fact that I followed all rules. No disrespect for your beautiful restaurant but this is not legal. So please pay me back immediately. Happy to take this to consumer rights otherwise.

Everything was great, food & drinks. Friendly and relaxed staff. There was plenty of time to enjoy food and drinks. Prices totally reasonable. I will definitely recommend it and come back again!

Flawless! We were wondering if we should choose the menu at €56 per person or get individual dishes! We chose the menu! They brought us 10 different dishes and 2 sweets (total 12) for 2 people!! The portions were normal to large and the flavors one and one! We were lucky enough to make a reservation on Saturday night at 9.15, so no one "forced" us to leave! The staff amazing!!

The food tastes excellent: fresh ingredients exceptionally well seasoned. The wine recommendation went well with it. The service was very attentive and courteous. You can feel the passion at this restaurant

Excellent yet off the beaten path! While it is located int he heart of Berlin’s hipster district of Mitte, it is hidden away in a back patio. The levant cuisine in offer is second to none in Berlin and so is the attentiveness of the young staff. Absolutely make reservations and consider the patio/glass house in the back, which adds to a unique experience.

The Food was great but you are basically being rushed out after your “time window “ is over. One of the waiters was so unfriendly (telling us that we do not need plates or refusing to accept that she brought the wrong cocktails etc.) that it basically killed our Christmas parties atmosphere and it was the last time we will do our yearly Christmas at NightKitchen.

Incredible experience- it’s so cosy, love the vibe and the food was delicious! 💛 The only thing I’d question is the portion sizes from the a la Carte menu. Perfect starter portions for sharing a few dishes. For the main dishes we asked for advice and we were told we could pick one each, they weren’t too big. The main dishes are for sharing! We managed half of each dish so it felt like a waste to us.

An absolutely amazing restaurant! Most importantly, the employees help you wonderfully in every way. The taste is incredible! It was one of the best shrimps I've ever eaten in my life, a great dessert, great wines.. The atmosphere is very friendly and peaceful.. I went again the next day because I loved eating it, but unfortunately it was closed 😐 I will visit again, thank you for everything :)

An absolute hidden gem of a place for mouthwatering food. It’s an experience to enter the place to be warmly greeted and seated among the bustling ambience. We love to celebrate our occasions here and always end up waiting for the next occasion to come here and fill up on the Crispy Cauliflower and the Amba Chicken. They do not allow takeaways because it compromises the taste of the food and I don’t know many places that actually put their standards up there like the Night Kitchen. And this place deserves all the respect and appreciation it gets! Night Kitchen is Berlin’s most superior kitchen, serving genuinely indulgent and innovative Mediterranean dishes.

Good food but we were impressed by some of the staff's behaviour. I booked for 7 and on the phone they didn't tell me anything, once we arrived there we started ordering from the menu they told us that "their rule" is that from 7 onwards "we have to order the full menu" which goes from 56 to 70 euros each. Obviously I told them no and from there they tried, I must say politely, to make us leave. As soon as we paid, with still the last sip in the glass we were asked to go away for another booking. Polite but very unpleasant. Except one.

The Night Kitchen is and remains one of the best restaurants ever! From the service, to the food, to the ambience, to the special atmosphere on site - simply unbelievably great! We were here for the fifth time today and have been pleasantly surprised every time. Thanks to the whole team and especially to Diego today for another outstanding evening!!!! Great! Reservation strongly recommended. It was a really great experience. The food is great, high quality ingredients, beautifully prepared and just great from start to finish. Everything works smoothly, lovingly furnished location. Gladly again!

Very disappointing experience. From the service to the atmosphere to the food. You don't feel welcome. Someone new is always coming and carelessly bringing the mezzes to the table. What it is is not explained. The food is oily and tasteless. Unfortunately every course we had. The atmosphere is relaxed and appears disorganized. Unfortunately the first and last experience in the Night Kitchen.

We were here for the Dinner with Friends concept, it was our first visit. Everything is really right here. We really enjoyed the time and the various Levantine-inspired fusion dishes. Really no matter what we tried, it was great. Most of the service only speaks English, you should know that, but it wasn't a hurdle for us. The fact that the concept already includes drinks such as wine and beer is also brilliant. One thing is certain, we will come back here every time we are in Berlin. Be sure to reserve well in advance, as this is often fully booked for weeks. 5 out of 5 stars we look forward to the next time!!

We have tried their surprise menu for an approximate value of 70 euros per person. The food was spectacular, many of the dishes were delicious, it's a shame that their menu only included one type of drink and no other options. Customer service was exceptional. I would return again but I would prefer to choose a particular dish from the menu.

Before serving, the waiter clarified what he was allergic to, they told him about it, but later several dishes with nuts followed, and then it was completely unclear to me why he asked about allergies so that he could later bring dishes with nuts. ..? Some of the food was good, but overall the experience was poor. Especially for the price of 80-90 euros per person.

A really great welcome in a lovely restaurant. Very courteous service, great food that really transports you to Tel Aviv. With great drinks and beautiful music you feel very welcome and well looked after! We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back! Update 10/31/24: the quality and service remain at a high level, the food is still prepared with love and skill and the service is very friendly and courteous.

The best food experience to have in Berlin

A must if you are in Berlin. It was one of the best meals we have ever had. We did the family style for 4 of us with drinks and it was well worth the price. Each dish was so delicious and tasty and there was plenty of each so we all had a good amount. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, giving recommendations and offering more dishes if we wanted, we were gutted to be too full to try any more. Loved it!

We enjoyed the restaurant, as well as the option to choose dishes from the entire menu for all guests at the table. The service and atmosphere were pleasant. All the dishes were well prepared and served very quickly. The cocktails were also good, and they let us taste the wines until we found one we liked.

This restaurant is such a bang for your buck. Not only was the food incredible, but they provided 11 different courses during the pre-set menu option. The restaurant is beautiful and service quick, friendly, and fun.

A wonderful atmospheric place! We chose „dinner with friends“ and received nine excellent dishes and two large desserts for the four of us. The portions are generous, and everything is perfected in taste. We ate a lot and were very satisfied. I will definitely come back again, and thank you for the caring evening!

We came to Night Kitchen without a reservation (would definitely recommend making one) and the staff very kindly made room for us even though they were fully booked for the evening. The food is incredible. We had the tuna ceviche, lamb and beef tortillas & the beef cheeks and it was perfect. The vibe is great and the staff are fabulous. Highly recommend!

Very relaxed, hospitable and special atmosphere, great sharing concept with many delicious offerings from Levantine cuisine. The drink accompaniment was also harmonious and went well - we had a very nice evening and would love to come back!

One of the best restaurants in Berlin. The variety is great and the flavors are amazing. I definitely recommend having the multi course menu or ordering to share, since you should try as much as you can. Everything is delicious: the aubergine, the artichoke, the broccolini, the espresso beef, the chicken. I could go on. You won’t be disappointed. We didn’t try the cocktails but their wines are great and nicely fitting to the food. Most importantly, desert. The bread pudding is simply amazing.

Nothing special, even if one would like to suggest it. Few simple dishes at high prices. Very little space at the tables or at the bar, our beef tartare was unfortunately gray and drowned in olive oil. Repetition factor 0%. The style of the food is incomprehensible, it feels like they are dishes that can be prepared relatively well “crossover” 🤣. All in all, unfortunately it's not worth recommending.

We had a party of 11 that ate here last night and it was a fantastic experience. The "Dinner with Friends" tasting menu gives you a generous amount of food and a wide range of dishes from the menu. Unique flavors and combinations; they were also very accommodating and careful with an allergy in our party. Very cool building and decor and lovely service as well!

Some of the dishes were extremely tasty, others were rather average (average 4 stars). The service was clearly below average: we had made reservations for 7 people on a birthday. Only on site and after we had chosen our dishes did they try to explain to us that we HAD to take the “Dinner with Friends” for €58/person due to the size of the group. We successfully refused. Afterwards the service was neither particularly friendly nor attentive. Two of us each ordered two dishes, one of them (the cold one) as a starter. We only received this after everyone else at the table had almost finished their food… after we reminded a waitress again. A short time later the two starters came again because the reminder was taken as a new order - pure chaos. Much later, over an hour after ordering, we received the two (warm) main courses. Other restaurants - even significantly cheaper ones - manage this much better. The atmosphere was nice, but overall I can't give it more than 4 stars.

We chose the “Dinner for Friends” option and were surprised with numerous pescatarian dishes + dessert and everything tasted GREAT!!! Absolute recommendation! The employees are all very cool and pleasant too.

The atmosphere at Night Kitchen was very cozy yet upscale. We chose the 'Dinner with friends' menu with 3 savory courses and 3 dishes each to share. Afterwards there was a course with desserts. All dishes were fresh and varied, we were particularly impressed with the tuna mango ceviche. When ordering, dietary requirements and preferences are briefly recorded and the menu is then adjusted accordingly. The service was very friendly, spoke both English and German and responded to all of our requests. The price-performance ratio was reasonable. I can definitely recommend the restaurant, especially for dates, celebrations, business lunches and special occasions or just a nice evening with friends."

We sat at the bar, where Dan (the barman!) chose what we ate and drank - a bit like a tasting menu, but bigger portions. Everything was utterly delicious, but the brioche and tahini was off the scale fabulous.

We came here last night for a team dinner (group of 7 persons). During the meal everything was perfect, the food, the service, the waiters very nice. They brought the meals quickly, everything was delicious. If was a good experience so far. HOWEVER, when it came to the bill (470€), the ‘manager’ came to tell us that normally they only accept invoice payment from 500€ (which we were not informed beforehand despite multiple email exchanges prior to our visit). So, she asked if we can tip 30€ to round it up. We considered that it was our decision to tip and it shouldn’t be requested like this. So we signed the 470€ invoice and gave her extra 9€ as tip. But then while leaving, we noticed that the 9€ were put back on another table beside ours, so we thought they forgot to take it. But no, in fact the manager was very upset about the amount of the tip, saying like “is this serious”, “we don’t need that, no thank you”, “you can take your money back” is a very very condescending way. We were extremely shocked by this attitude, it was very disrespectful especially in front of the other costumers. As a reminder ‘Madam’, tips are not granted, they are given at the discretion of the costumer! We came to your restaurant and had a good time but you can’t be upset and disrespectful just because we didn’t tip you enough. It’s very unprofessional. Although we enjoyed the food, personally I won’t come back.

deliccciouuuss!! And super caring! I told our waiter straight away that I was pregnant and therefore couldn't eat raw things. Everyone who came by to bring food knew what was going on and that made me feel really well looked after. The food is also really tasty, but I wouldn't actually recommend just the best seller! Nice location - so everything was great! But of course not cheap either!

The food was excellent but the service was terrible. They put us in a table for 2 when we have 3 people in our group. The table was so tiny and the room space was so small. It was so hard to eat because of the table size. The table was only able to fit 1 dish but they squeeze in 3 dishes. It was so hard to have a good time. When People pass by my table they kept kicking my chair because it was so tight. When we complaint to move they won't give us a different seat. Their excuse would be. "This table is enough for 3" when obviously it was not. When we are ready to pay, the bill was wrong. And they forgot our coffee. Thanks for the great night. NIGHT KITCHEN
