I've been coming here regularly for many years, and it's truly one of my favorite places. The food is always fresh, delicious, and prepared with so much love. The soups are especially amazing, but all the other dishes are always excellent as well. I have an absolute favorite dish here, and I look forward to it every time. The team is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and you immediately feel welcome. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into what they do. For me, it's one of the most reliable and best places to eat really well. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious, but the floor tiles in the dining room weren't completely laid and there were piles of dirt around the edges.

So I'm there often, and the staff are unfortunately rude. Last time, there was a hair in my food. When I asked the staff about it, they didn't even apologize. It's a shame. In the evening, there were three rats outside at the tables.

The food is excellent. Service could definitely be improved. Smiling isn't forbidden. Asking if everything is okay or if you'd like something else should be possible. My plate sat empty on the table for 20 minutes. There were maybe five guests in total. Should I come in now and ask if I can pay? I don't think so.

I used to love Nguyen Kitchen; it's been my favorite local for four years. The food was excellent back then. But since many dishes are made with oat milk and some recipes have changed, many of the dishes no longer taste good. I absolutely don't recommend the peanut dish. The sauce tastes only of oat milk and is very bland. The only reason I still go there is the sushi, which is delicious and freshly prepared.

The restaurant is average. Normally, if you want to go out for Asian food without having to search too hard or expecting too much, this is a place where you can't go wrong. The restaurant has a lot of space both inside and out. The tables are positioned so that you don't feel cramped. You can get a table quickly, even without a reservation. The service is nice and friendly; unfortunately, it often happened to us that the waiters took a long time to take our order or even to see us. There was nothing wrong with politeness and friendliness. For Muslims, the food is halal. It's easy to get to by public transport; the restaurant is right next to the uban and a 5-minute walk from the tram/bus. If you're driving, you'll have to look for a parking space; I recommend parking across the street on the side, where you can find a parking space quickly. It's very difficult to find a parking space on the main road.

This wasn't my first time there; the staff is simply unfriendly. We were last there on Sunday; it was full, and we waited about 30 minutes. No problem. A table became available, and we wanted to sit down. The waitress came and YELLED at us that she had to clean up and that we should get up immediately. I asked her to speak to us in a friendly manner, but the lady continued to talk to herself—very rude. Absolutely unacceptable! We got up and went to YEDO.

I ate there yesterday, as I often do, and, as almost always, I ordered the number 67C. But this time I was shocked: there was a piece of plastic in my food. When I asked the waitress about it, she apologized and explained that she knew where the plastic came from. Despite this, I was not offered a new dish or offered a different solution. Instead, I was charged for the food - even though I ate maybe 30% of it - as normal. Completely incomprehensible and outrageous to me. After numerous visits in the past, this was definitely my last. Never again!

Osama Crunch at Nguyen Kitchen is an exciting take on sushi that creatively combines traditional techniques with modern flavors. As a sushi lover, I was particularly impressed by the innovative approach. We had a reservation for 6pm to celebrate a birthday. We got there on time, but it was very hectic and loud in the restaurant, and we were told that our reservation probably hadn't arrived. There was no table for us. (We had online confirmation of the reservation) Then we were just left standing. When we asked whether we could be offered another table at a later date, the answer was very evasive and unfriendly. A real apology (a simple “sorry” would have been enough, was missing) So I wouldn’t recommend the store.

I ordered takeaway sushi a few days ago and was extremely disappointed. When ordering, I asked if cocktail sauce could be added separately in small portions. However, I was told that the sauce is already applied to the sushi rolls and I would have to pay an extra charge if I wanted it separately - which is only offered in the restaurant at no additional cost. When I got home, my disappointment was even greater. The fried sushi rolls looked fine on the outside, but when I looked at the avocado in these sushi, I was horrified: it had extremely black spots that were impossible to miss. This immediately spoiled my appetite and although the other sushi rolls looked okay on the outside, I actually had a stomach ache later. It is completely unacceptable for a sushi restaurant to display such deficiencies in preparation and ingredient selection. I expect fresh, high-quality food from a solid sushi restaurant - that was definitely not the case here. I am very disappointed and hope that the restaurant places more emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction in the future.

This is a very nice restaurant. Very cozy and very clean. The menu has a wide selection. We've been there several times and will always be happy to stop by again. Such different teas are very tasty, highly recommended. Very nice and friendly staff. Great, keep it up

The first dish was tasty, but the portion was a bit small compared to other Vietnamese restaurants that I’ve visited. Don't recommend fried rice, it was cold, and not tasty, especially the shrimp, not tasty at all. Overall price was ok and it is a cozy place.

They used to be better... The fried sushis were very greasy and had a very tasty taste! The duck somehow wasn't very fatty like last time... I think the oil had been in use for a long time! (my opinion on that)

Nguyen Kitchen is a Vietnamese restaurant that also has a good selection of Japanese starters and main courses as well as sushi on the menu. I live nearby and go there all the time - so I seem to like it... There are many reasons why this is the case: the selection is large, the food is tasty and the prices are affordable even for the less well-off. I also feel well looked after by the always nice waiters, and the whole atmosphere (including the other guests) is pleasantly relaxed. However, the interior design is not my cup of tea (I find it boring/interchangeable/meaningless), but it's not really ugly either. I prefer to sit outside - fortunately the outside area is far enough away from the busy Brunnenstrasse that the traffic is hardly annoying. Edit November 6th, 2024: The Nguyen Kitchen was renovated in 2023; Since then, I like the interior design much better than before.

The restaurant I recently had lunch at was disappointing. Quality of Ingredients: The lunch menu consisted of ingredients that were obviously not fresh. The chicken tasted almost spoiled and had a very old taste, which greatly detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. Service: The service was also not satisfactory. The employee, who was blonde and of Asian origin, showed little friendliness and seemed uninterested in the guests. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant as both the quality of the food and the service fell far short of expectations.

Nice Asian restaurant. You can sit comfortably inside and outside here. So far I've mostly eaten the bowls here, which have always been really good. Fresh, beautifully prepared and also a decent portion in the lunch menu. The sushi is pretty standard and nothing special.

Some (relatively few) Vietnamese dishes, some pan-Asian, and a lot of sushi - just like in numerous other Vietnamese places. Solid food quality, nothing to complain about. Friendly, fast service. If I lived nearby, I would definitely go there again and again. But you don't have to travel from further away.

We like to eat because on Saturday I ordered crispy duck with vegetables. Duck was no longer good. Vegetables were okay.

I can't believe these ingredients can be made so disgusting, whilst being so overpriced. The menu in Google maps is now old and the price went up by 50%. The chop was oily, the gravy was salty, rice weirdly sticky, vegetables bitter to the point of being inedible. I usually never waste food, but today I did. They, like many German restaurants, also charge for water. Probably why the food has to be so salty! Construction site within the restaurant is no help.
