Ned Kelly's Australian Bar in München

Wir waren beim ersten Spiel der Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft Finnland gegen Deutschland. Aus irgendeinem Grund war die Bar voller Finnen und die Atmosphäre war einfach perfekt. Gutes Bier und super Service! 💪

Super Bar, Essen ist auch gut und Personal war immer freundlich zu uns

Nach einem späten Spiel der Allianz war ich hier auf einen Drink. Es war sehr voll, aber so ziemlich der einzige Laden, der noch geöffnet hatte. Die Getränkeauswahl war in Ordnung und es gab gerade genug Platz, um im Stehen zu plaudern und etwas zu trinken.

Hier ist immer was los. Bin sehr gerne dort. Man lernt weltoffene Menschen kennen. Und der halbe Planet geht dort hin. "Die Welt besucht uns". Alles sehr liberal und open minded. Love it!

Gute Lage, aber das Personal war weder besonders freundlich noch zuvorkommend. Größter Minuspunkt: die Toiletten – mit Abstand einige der schlimmsten, die ich je in Deutschland gesehen habe. Insgesamt eine eher durchschnittliche Erfahrung.

Tolle Bar mit Live-Musik, köstlichen Chicken Wings und noch besserem Bier.

Diese Typen hatten VB im Angebot. Ich hab's sonst nirgendwo auf der Welt gesehen, außer in Australien. Und Karaoke war auch super, es war total witzig, den Jungs beim Singen zuzuhören.

Aisling ist eine absolut fantastische Managerin – vielen Dank, dass Sie sich so gut um uns gekümmert haben. Hoffentlich weiß der Inhaber zu schätzen, was für eine erstklassige Managerin sie ist.

Wir haben drei Stunden gewartet bis das NFL Spiel um 22.30 Uhr anfängt und dann schält die Bar plötzlich alle großen Fernseher ab, die von unserem Tisch aus zu sehen sind. Trotz mehrfacher Bitte, das NFL Spiel auch auf den ausgeschalteten Fernseher zu zeigen, blieben sie aus. Die Begründung war, dass das Spiel ja schon auf zwei Fernsehern gezeigt werde. Die Fernsehen waren für uns aber nicht oder nur mit übelsten Verrenkungen zu sehen. Eine Sportsbar die Strom an den Fernsehern spart ist leider schlecht. Wir gehen nächstes Mal woanders hin wenn wir Sport sehen möchten.

Mega angenehmes Publikum. Ein wirklich bemerkenswertes Personal. Top. Definitiv wenn man Englisch liebt und auch Sprachskills besitzt will. Einfach too

Ich wollte eigentlich in den Irish Pub nebenan gehen, aber der sah von außen zu chaotisch aus, also bin ich hierher gekommen. Die Wurst war weicher als erwartet, aber okay. Die Kartoffeln waren lecker, aber etwas zu salzig. Am Nachbartisch war es noch salziger. Ich habe das Spiel gerne angeschaut.

Eine tolle Bar, um Sport zu schauen und ein Bier und einen kleinen Imbiss zu genießen. Sehr freundlicher Service und lebhafte Atmosphäre. Gute Lage.

Samstags ist bis 1 Uhr geöffnet, manchmal wird aber auch schon eine Stunde früher ausgeschenkt, selbst wenn die Bar gut besucht ist. Nette Bar, aber nicht besonders authentisch.

Ein paar mehr australische Getränke wären schön, ansonsten ist die Dekoration top. So australisch wie es in München nur geht.

Ich wurde im Badezimmer von einem Kellner belästigt! Früher bin ich gerne zum Pub-Quiz dorthin gegangen. Aber heute hatte ich die schlimmste Erfahrung, die ich je in einem Restaurant oder einer Bar gemacht habe. Wir hatten gerade Spaß beim Quiz und waren auch ziemlich gut. Nach ein paar Runden ging ich zum ersten Mal während einer Quizrunde auf die Toilette, und keine zwei Sekunden, nachdem ich mich in die Kabine gesetzt hatte, klopfte ein Kellner an meine Tür und fragte, ob ich während der Runde auf die Toilette müsse. Ich fühlte mich total unwohl und fragte ihn nur, warum er überhaupt fragt. Dann fing er an, weitere Fragen zu stellen, zum Beispiel, warum er noch kein Geräusch vom Wasserlassen höre oder warum meine Freundin vorher auf der Toilette gewesen sei. Da fühlte ich mich belästigt und bedroht, also bat ich ihn zu gehen. Er schrie mich nur an, dass ich beim Pub-Quiz betrüge, und ging. Am Ende wurden wir vom zweiten Platz ausgeschlossen und unsere Fragen zu den Gründen für die Belästigung im Badezimmer und die Disqualifizierung wurden nicht beantwortet. Obwohl wir trotz des unhöflichen Verhaltens der Quizmasterin (Hannah) einige schöne Abende dort verbracht haben, kann ich diesen Ort niemandem mehr empfehlen. (Als wir den Ort nach all dem verließen (ohne Aufsehen zu erregen), wurden wir trotzdem noch angeschrien.) PS: Ich musste einige Wörter zensieren, da Google die ursprüngliche Bewertung nicht freigegeben hat.

Tolle Bar im Herzen von München. Sehr freundliches Personal und coole drinks. Waren Halloween da und es hat alles gepasst.

Wir waren mit Freunden in diesem Irish Pub und wurden leider richtig enttäuscht. Der Barkeeper hat beim Bezahlen einfach selbst einen Betrag als Trinkgeld eingetippt, ohne uns zu fragen. Als wir das gemerkt haben und danach kein zusätzliches Trinkgeld mehr geben wollten, wurden wir komplett ignoriert und nicht mehr bedient. Sehr unprofessionelles und freches Verhalten – so geht man nicht mit Gästen um. Schade, denn eigentlich ist die Atmosphäre im Pub gemütlich, aber so ein Verhalten zerstört das ganze Erlebnis. Keine Empfehlung!

Es ist ein fantastischer Ort, der Service ist schnell und die Leute sind sehr höflich!!!! Ich liebe diesen Ort!

Authentic Irish Pub Located below Killians Irish restaurant. So below ground. Great classic ireland atmosphere and plenty of Irish beers. Good spot to watch a game.

Staff are friendly, prices are good considering you are beside a historic landmark, I would recommend the 'Chefs Basket' for picky food.

Great place, with the friendliest of staff who really looked after us this weekend. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Great little sports bar in Munich. I don't know if I'm just blind, but I had to wander around a bit inside to find the exact area where Ned Kelly's is located, since it shares the same building with the Irish Pub. You head down into the basement and towards the right, and then you'll see all the Australiana decorations, which is how you know you're in the right spot. I came here to watch the Liverpool vs Arsenal match and the atmosphere was great, even though I was by myself. I had the Aussie Burger, a couple of drinks, and for dessert I had one of the weekly specials, the Raspberry Hazelnut Cake with Blueberry Buttermilk Ice Cream. The food was all decent pub food, and for such a busy place, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the table service was.

Reserved a table last minute, ordered pizza which was just as good as a pizzeria. Decent atmosphere for a very touristy pub, however, we were only there to watch a footy game. No issues with bouncers as other have stated. Service was good, always asked if we wanted a drink or anything else. Decent amount of screens to watch sport

Great food, service and atmosphere. Place feels like an American Sports Bar. Home of the Munich TB Buccaneers Club. Definitely recommend the Club Sandwich.

This is not an Australian Pub, it does not serve Australian Beer or Australian Food. It is a pub with Australian pictures at best.

Fantastic job of reserving a table and TV for 12 Redskins fans during a packed Sunday evening of NFL games.. The food was outstanding and our server (the big Viking-looking fellow) was probably the most proficient waiter I have ever seen and I’m no spring chicken. Can’t wait to visit again.

As Americans, we were looking for somewhere to watch NFL sunday and found this amazing bar. The food was fantastic (as a vegetarian, they had so many options!) And the drinks were amazing and cheap. It was crowded for the first slate of games(7pm games), but it was worth it. With 2 meals and 6 different drinks, the bill was 60€ which was completely reasonable! Are you looking for a place to watch American football and vibe? Look no further.

A sports bar with a great Buccaneeres ambience (Bucs Krewe Ambassy) - you have to see it!

We initially enjoyed the ambiance of this pub and were looking forward to a good experience. After we sat down, a waiter came over, tossed menus at us without a word, and walked away. After waiting a bit, we politely asked to place our order, only to have him respond, “You didn’t say ‘hey.’” Surprised but accommodating, we then said “hey.” He looked at us and replied, “Now it’s too late. You can try the pub next door.” He then added, “By the way, are you French?” For the record, we’re Swiss French, but we were left wondering what exactly we’d done wrong. We left feeling confused and unwelcome.

Waiter who throws the coasters at us and doesn't come to take our orders. When we point out to him that we want to order, he tells us that he won't come and take our orders... we leave. But it's not professional!!!

Not a place for non white/non German people anymore. Everything was fine until the last evening. When a bartender charged 23 instead of 13 and was disrespectful while taking order. And when we confirmed after waiting 10 minutes and getting 3 times hands i am busy that there were only 13, he returned 10 without any questions asked(he knew it)and 10 seconds later was so angry that he yelled at us, pointed fingers, angry face , and made some racist comments, all nearby people noticed our humiliation . And he got one more bartender involved when we ask him for drinks. and they refused to give us drinks, we respectfully left the place and We complained about this to the manager. And he in reverse said to him he didn’t tried to steal the money and it was mistake. I hope I get an answer here when this racist no longer works where the best place used to be. So that people buy good time instead of disrespect and racism after paying five times the money for drink. I'm happy to move back to 5 starts if these two guys learn the lessons of basic humanity

Great place to watch the rugby!

The bar is very original and cool. There was a lot going on but a good atmosphere. Prices are good and football fans also get their money's worth with multiple screens.

Good bar. We came to watch the Australian NRL grand final. We reserved a table, beers were reasonably priced.

Shaby provided excellent excellent service. We were in town and stopped in to watch a game and he stopped by multiple times to make sure our beer was full. The soup of the day was sooooooo good. Highly recommend!

Went here to watch the Vikings game. Ran into some German Viking fans! Had the Bread Butter Cream pudding cake with Fish and chips. Will try to find photo of food lol. Good time tho and I like the Irish/Aussie split on the place!

It’s a nice bar but I made a booking for my birthday at 2pm only to find they don’t even open until 5pm. We were placed in Killian’s bar instead. I’m Australian and so going to Ned’s was part of the plan. I don’t want to tell people how to do their job but maybe don’t take reservations for a venue that isn’t open at that time. It was just disappointing.

I am sad to share this review but I have to say that the food was delicious but we had the terrible surprise to see rats around the tables in the floor. There were little mouses but was enough to ruin our dinner

I went there to watch the Premier League games. It was packed and the atmosphere was nice. The service is very good. I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t get to try the food. A lot of people seemed to order their burger and it looked delicious.

Good and tasty burgers and good beer. I can recommend it.

You can set your expectations high because they will be exceeded. This place was highly accommodating of a couple of Canadians just looking to catch an FC Bayern game. You may want a shot that they have never heard of, but they will find a liquor to make it happen (James Franco shots, look them up!). This place was so much fun, the vibes were immaculate and we would go back soon - even just to see how the bartenders’ life dramas are unfolding. Seriously, 10/10 would fly across the Atlantic again for this place.

Fantastic spot for drinks. Great mix of people of all ages, styles, colors. Band on one side, karaoke on the other. Almost all American music - all genres. Drink prices were great.

This place was a strange mix of Irish, Australian, and American food. Hard to tell which it was trying to be. My group of 14 Americans thought it would fit right in our American small town, and the fried food was very authentic American. The Irish selections seemed to be canned and made from instant mashed potatoes. Service was acceptable but a but surly.

Lovely place, good music, good vibes! Must visit place in Munich if you’re a football fan, multiple screens to watch games. Joseph and Betty are the kindest people, took care of me so well that I developed a bond with them. Wish I could tag them here. The female Quizmaster with some name I can't remember pretty much butchers the pronunciation of the answers and even reveals the answers wrongly ... You had one job. Pub Quizzes are more enjoyable at other venues. Because at Ned Kelly's the people thinking of the questions and researching the answers do not seem to be that ... educated. Wrong answers and wrong pronunciations are the result. The Quizmasters at other venues are more competent because they actually do the research on how to pronounce the answers correctly and on how to actually reveal the right answers. (e.g. Rupees and Rupiah are not the same currency). It's just straight up embarrassing. On top of that the food is not even Australian. It's an Irish pub cosplaying as an Australian pub. Which is not a bad thing per se ... But why name your pub after an Australian bush criminal? In order to encourage your bearded, scraggy waiters to behave like one and follow customers into the toilet and behave like an unhinged menace? We know his name but he told us not to disclose it. And I .... think that's kind of a cowardly move. Conclusion: When toxic people are being called out for their unruly and detrimental behavior they get super defensive and deny everything. No self-reflection, no backbone. Point proven. Case closed.

Obwohl man eindeutig vom Servicepersonal wahrgenommen wird, hält man es nicht für nötig bedient zu werden. Alle anderen Personen um einen herum werden dies jedoch. Nach ungefäjhr 15 Minuten kommt dann jemand vom Servicepersonal (Männlich, zottelige Frisur sowie ungepflegtes Erscheinungsbild) zu mir. In englischer Sprache, sagte er arrogant und völlig überzogen, dass dieser Bereich ausschließlich für das Personal wäre. Daraufhin bin ich umgegend vom Barhocker aufgestanden und gegangen. Ausgeschildert war das definitiv nicht, ansonsten hätte ich dort nicht Platz genommen, da ich mich generell nicht an einen Stammtisch ect. setze. Weshalb er mit mir nicht in deutsch kommuniziert hat, ist mir völlig schleierhaft. Mit den umliegenden Gästen hat er das nämlich getan. Okay, der einzige Grund wäre, in englisch kommt seine Ansage natürlich cooler herüber. Mir ist bestens bewusst, dass gutes Personal mittlerweile äußerst schwer zu finden ist, so eine Verhaltensweise ist allerdings ein absolutes No-Go.

Well it’s Christmas time and it’s sunny and Sunday so why no come down to Ned Kelly’s…atmosphere is to die for and the people here are amazing! Don’t miss it!

Alister is such a great host! I discovered this place on Reddit in 2019 and it’s Munich’s best spot to watch ALL the NFL teams. Call ahead for larger groups, but usually you can show up and get a chair for your game. GO RAVENS!

It can get confusing because it's an Aussie pub combined with an English pub. We sat in the Beer Garden. Traditional Bavarian food on the menu with good company. Our server was great, he could carry so many beers ! Very impressed.

Terrible, most awful service outside, Faisal and his higher were the utter most disgraceful people we have ever witnessed. There was clearly an agenda against certain people which we will be reporting, and an utter lack of commen sense to talk with these neanderthals. absolutely disgraceful experience overall, would never recommend. However Munich besides this is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to, would highly recommend apart from this bar.

Ich liebe das NEDs! Es is eine tolle Bar um eine gute Zeit zu haben. Das Essen ist super lecker und vom Preis her absolut in Ordnung. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und schnell! Karaoke am Donnerstag ist mein Highlight und für jeden, der einmal auf die Bühne gehen will ein unbedingtes Muss! Auch wegen dem netten DJ! Ich fühle mich hier auf alle Fälle absolut wohl!

This is a nice Irish basement pub in the heart of Munich - Marienplatz area. We went on a Friday evening. There was a live band playing English songs. Apparently, there wasn't anything Aussie about it. From the menu, to the photo frames and decor, it was Irish through-and-through. The quality of food cannot be reviewed as only snacks was ordered. It was decent. We tasted a range of drinks from Guinness, Coke Weiße, cocktails to pitcher beers - all sehr gut! Service was great (always a questionable experience in Germany). Order taking and billing was smooth. Since it's open till 2 AM, definitely a nice option for Friday night hangouts. And the atmosphere gets better with every passing hour.

Perfect Guiness pour, proper cold. Nice selection of ciders as well. Had my first ever pint of Fosters and it was very good. Staff is friendly, which is not a must in a anglo bar/pub setting, but still nice to see.

Loved the house wine and the potion. The crisp fresh salad n well blended dressing was just perfect. The potion size was good n my son loved the salmon. Thank u Carla You suggested well
