Naturfreundehaus in Friedrichsthal

We always enjoyed staying at the Naturfreundehaus...we even celebrated our wedding there. We were there again for the first time after the change of tenant and found that the food was really tasty, but we didn't want to go there again because of the poor service. Unfortunately we had the feeling of not being welcome. Unfortunately, the best food is of no use if the service is poor and you have to wait forever for a drink. Just my personal opinion, food was very good.

On recommendation, we ate the US entrecôte with fresh hollandaise sauce, with fries and salad. The food was outstanding! I haven't eaten such a tender and well-prepared piece of meat in a long time! The starter was bruschetta and really tasty too! We would definitely like to come back! Curious through Facebook, we spontaneously went there. It is definitely necessary to reserve in advance as all tables were fully booked. The great staff still found a place for us and we were able to stay. A highlight for me, there is Frühkölsch, freshly tapped and delicious. We ate steaks with fries and salad. It's crazy how good they were. Fried to perfection, well seasoned and tender like butter! The homemade herb butter is an experience on the tongue, incredibly tasty. And there was enough of it, a small bowl full. The salad had a dressing that immediately impressed me. I rarely eat the salad, but here I do. All in all a successful evening. It was really packed, no wonder given the quality. The clubhouse is cozy and has a nice little playground outside for children. When the weather is good there is also a beer garden. The staff is very nice and on the ball. You can also enjoy cocktails. We'll definitely be back 🫶

Since the change of tenant at the beginning of the year, we have been guests of the new tenant Mazloum in the Naturfreundehaus a few times. Absolutely recommended!! Especially the steaks and schnitzels! The promotions (such as the breakfast buffet, steak evening, schnitzel buffet or the inexpensive 3-course menus on Sunday) are also great! We'd love to come back any time!

Since a new owner in February, everything has been world class, from service to cuisine, simply very good and incredibly tasty. Highly recommended!

The Nature Friends House has had a new tenant since February and what can I say, a visit is worth it. The information in Google here is incorrect, the Naturfreundehaus is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. We spontaneously wanted to have something to eat with 6 people on Saturday evening and found what we were looking for here at the Naturfreundehaus. The boss just squeezed us in even though the house was already full. Thank you again for that. When we were there the hut was really full and there was difficulty accommodating us. But the girls improvised quickly and we were able to take a seat. The atmosphere of the Nature Friends House is similar to that of a clubhouse, not necessarily for everyone. But I discovered that the food is of a very special caliber. The steak I had was better than any steak house. Fried to perfection and slightly crispy on the outside with a subtle note of butter. Homemade herb butter with wild garlic. Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla ice cream, garnished with fruit on a chocolate plate. I was just happy in the end. The service ladies really had a lot to do that evening, but were always friendly, attentive and, as is typical in a village, you quickly got into a joke ;-) The boss also had some time to come out of the kitchen and greeted his guests and asked if everything was okay. A very friendly team working here. People just go there! This is a great shop!

The food was good, home cooking was quick and the portion was large, we can recommend only 1 wine that could still be improved, although there was a wine list

The best steak I've ever eaten. Simply brilliant. The chef even came to the table after the meal and expected feedback. We booked a table straight away for next time ;) If you follow the chef Mazl Oum on Facebook, you will always get the latest promotions ✔️

We are very pleased that the Naturfreundehaus Friedrichsthal has reopened under new management since 2025. Here you can eat delicious food and have a good time in a well-kept, middle-class atmosphere

New tenant! Super delicious food. Schnitzel Alsatian style is incredibly tasty, but so is the schnitzel with curry sauce. The linguine aioli was a dream. Starter salad very fine. Food overall a 10 out of 5 stars. The service is still a bit helpless but very nice and they do their best. Still has to work it out a bit. We will definitely go there more often. Price - performance TOP. Incidentally, opening times are Tuesday - Saturday 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Highly recommended. Two thumbs up!

In short, we have been able to enjoy a mussel buffet and a schnitzel buffet twice since the opening. Great every time and very friendly service. Always my pleasure.

We went to the schnitzel buffet on Thursday. The ambience was dismal. We were there at 7 p.m. There were only a few schnitzels left and unfortunately they were only lukewarm. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and my espresso was almost cold. Very unfortunate 😕

There has been a new owner in the Naturfreundehaus since the beginning of February. Today we had a steak and a schnitzel. Both were super tasty. Steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. The schnitzel was freshly made in the kitchen and was also tender and delicious. The fries were fresh and not too thin. Service was top, the friendly staff was really on point. Everything great!

Not yet, we will test it when the lady from the board is not in the restaurant. The food is said to be very good.

Were here for the first time today and had a schnitzel with pepper, bacon sauce and cream. The portions were TOP and the taste was great too. We will come more often ❣️

Everything is okay so far...ambience, well...could be a little fancier

It's been a long time since I've been to the Naturfreunde Haus and I really liked it. The host and landlady were very friendly and attentive. Fridays are kebab day and you can also order from the menu.

Have often been here with friends... Small menu but what is on it is prepared very well... There is something for everyone at the salad buffet... Price performance is right. Wheelchair accessible entrance available

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary on April 6th, 2024 with an American Mexican buffet, it was just great. The buffet was simply great. Great team, nice service. Thank you for the lovely evening. We hired “De Saarlänner” as musical accompaniment. Thanks to him too for this great evening with his music.

For my birthday I decided to have catering at home and I don't regret it. 😊 We were about 20 people. Everyone really enjoyed the burgers (vegetarian and meat) and the hot dogs. Our individual wishes were taken into account and if something was not possible or could be obtained cheaper elsewhere, this was communicated honestly. There was also more than enough of everything. As a surprise there was sweets and a birthday present for the party. All in all more than recommended! 🙌🏼 We have ordered here several times and also eaten there. Alone or with friends and family. Everyone always enjoyed it very much. Some dishes are difficult to deliver and are much better on site, but that's because of the delivery & it's the same everywhere. We ordered a la carte (Brizza, salad, burger) and lunch. Everything was always very good. 👍🏼 The free dessert with every delivery or every dish ordered is always a surprise and a unique selling point. Sometimes it's yoghurts, croissants, sweets but also often fruit. 🍏🍪 The staff is also very friendly. Recommendation from us! For us one of the best addresses in the area. 😊

Best address in the Friedrichsthal and Sulzbach area for burgers and brizza! We like to order regularly and are super satisfied 😁 We always do a little guesswork as to which free desserts will be included next time ;) Very creative 👍🏻

Gut geeignet für Familienzusammenkünfte.

Das Essen, ich hatte einen Black Angus Burger, war super. Fleisch war saftig und die Kombination der Schichtungen mit den Saucen perfekt. Dazu Pommes - alles sehr gut. 😋👍 Die Crew hat sich sehr bemüht und war top im Service. Man hat sich gleich wohl gefühlt, als wäre man schon immer hier Stammgast. Das Ambiente war sehr freundlich und angenehm modern gestaltet. Hier gibt's keine Fichte-Kiefer Profilbretterwände wie man bei einem Naturfreundehaus vermuten könnte. Also ich war überrascht und freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch bei Meyers.

Absolut einen Besuch wert, super Burger, aber auch alles andere top! Hier kann man sehr gut und günstig essen und trinken. Zuvorkommende und freundliche Inhaber.

Essen war gut besonders die Brizza Saarländer. Burgerpatys waren saftig und die Schnitzel waren nicht trocken. Der Service war super das Besitzerpaar ist sehr herzlich alles in allem passt hier Preis/Leistung. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Essen war ok große Portion, leider kam in mir der Eindruck auf das bei der Herstellung der Soße convenienceprodukte verwendet wurden, ansonsten stimmt das Preise Leistung Verhältnis

Wir waren gestern Abend dort mit mehreren Mädels plus Kindern. Trotz vollem Haus haben wir einen Tisch fertig gemacht bekommen, sehr nette Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Preis Leistung super!!

Very friendly service. Dog friendly. My wife's salad was good. The Brizza that I had was very tasty and a unique idea. Good beer selection. Good wines, although not on the menu, so ask if you're looking to have wine.

Wir waren heute Abend dort zum Essen und um einen Schönen Abend zu verbringen. Und was soll ich anderes sagen, er war super. Super leckere Burger, nette und aufmerksame Bedingungen und Wirt. Absolute Empfehlung

War ein schöner Abend Essen hat gut geschmeckt und der Service war erste Klasse und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Eine Freundin hat uns das Naturfreundehaus empfohlen und wir waren dort mit dem Essen zufrieden, die Preise sind sehr günstig, der Wirt ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es weil man aus dem Außenbereich mit Sicherheit noch ein bisschen mehr rausholen könnte, was das Ambiente auf jeden Fall aufwerten würde. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
