Good (vegie) food, very good open wine. Unfortunately, sometimes quite “quickly” - the starters are not half eaten before the main course is placed on the table without comment. The many suppliers from Wolt, Uber and Lieferando disrupt the ambience a little as they sometimes queue in the very small restaurant.

The duck was to die for. Highly recommended. Large portions. No starter needed. Very reasonably priced.

Very tasty Pho, arrived nice and hot via Wolt. Fresh ingredients. Separate the broth from the noodles; Chili, sprouts, greens also separated and supplied in sufficient quantities.

We went there because of the positive review here on Google. We got a table straight away, but it was only wiped down after repeated requests. The menus are totally worn out. The friendliness of the employees varied: 1x very friendly and 1x with “significant potential for improvement”. The food was good overall.

Vietnamese restaurant in the center of Munich near the Isar embankment. A small room inside and a large summer terrace outside. I took Canh Сhua Tom soup for 8.5 €. The soup was tasty, with an unusual combination of flavors, and large shrimp, but the portion was not the largest. The staff was polite, but for some reason when paying they said it was better to pay in cash. We didn't have cash, but there were no problems paying by card.

I visited this place one year ago, and liked the food very much. I went here this year with a colleague, and like the food even more. I had a veretarian dish and my colleague had a duck, both dishes were extremely good. The sesame ice cream was also of high quality (home made). The waiter (owner?) took very good care of us and was so friendly. I will return to this place next time in Munich!

As someone from the immediate neighborhood who enjoys having lunch here often: Bun Ga Nung (No. 9 on the lunch menu) is my absolute top recommendation. I only discovered this dish about a year ago and usually ate curries before then. Bun Ga Nung with grilled chicken is not only perfectly balanced and delicious in terms of ingredients, it is also the ideal portion for a light lunch meal. 10 out of 10 points.

Sensationally delicious, and very, very friendly

We spontaneously walked by and decided to sit on the terrace and order something. We were warmly welcomed and only later realized that it was very close to the afternoon break. We would never have noticed the friendliness and service. The starters and main courses were outstanding - the meat was juicy and crispy and the sauces perfectly seasoned.

Wir besuchen das Lokal immer mal wieder mit der Familie. Waren jetzt länger nicht da. Das Essen ist gut, nicht mehr ganz so wie in der Vergangenheit. Der Service wirkt lustlos bis genervt. Da ist viel Luft nach oben. Die Essenspreise folgen dem allgemeinen Aufwärtstrend. Getränke halten sich im Rahmen, Helles aus der Flasche ok, Wein schon anspruchsvoll. Das Lokal ist nicht mehr rappelvoll wie bisher. Insgesamt nicht mehr das Nam Giao worauf wir uns gefreut haben. Auch das Interieur war immer etwas Besonderes. Die Lampen und die Beleuchtung war sehr stimmig in das Raumkonzept eingebunden. Diese wurden leider durch wenig schöne Papierlaternen ersetzt. Insgesamt nur noch 3 von 5 Sternen.

Food was alright but the service was horrible. The main waiter was rude and displayed a strong lack of interest. So far so bad, he had the audacity to ask THREE times for a tip after having done less than the bare minimum. Can't recommend.

Impressively BAD when you read through these many "real" positive reviews here. I have never eaten a more tasteless Pho Bo in my entire life and in Germany and the obese waiter could pull his face into the corners of his lips a bit even on a Monday evening. There are so many Vietnamese in Munich - this is the last place you should visit or rather not at all. But hey, the cutlery was clean ;)

Les plats étaient savoureux, avec beaucoup de goût et de finesse. C’était tellement bon que nous sommes retournés le lendemain à nouveau. À chaque fois, le restaurant a fait le plein, ce qui en dit long également. Les serveurs étaient très sympathiques.

This is probably the best Vietnamese food I ever had (vegetarian). The service was great, staff does speak a bit of English as well if you’re not familiar enough with German language. The taste was great, I tried the number 52 which is fried vegetables with coconut milk and rice. The place is a bit tight so I recommend making a reservation beforehand if you’re a big group

In town for a conference and wanted to try something different. Really enjoyed this place. The portions were not huge, but great spring rolls to start, my caramelised monkfish was legit, and the black sesame ice cream is a must-have. Nice people, relaxed vibe.

Food was really good, Personal professional and the Portions good for the price. But I'm sorry to say, that is really difficult to enjoy it, since there is almost no space. The tables are so near to each other, that it literally like eating with strangers. For my personal taste was really uncomfortable. That's why I can give only 3 stars. Essen war sehr lecker, Personal profesionell und die Portionen gut für den Preis. Leider aber kann man sich schlecht das schmecken lassen, da fast keinen Platz gibts. Die Tische sind fast übereinander und man sitzt einfach neben fremde Leute. Für mein persönliches Geschmack war richtig unangenehm. Deswegen kann ich nur 3 Sterne geben.

The food was super tasty and value for money was right. The tables are just a little too close together, so you have neighbors right next to them. But otherwise a cute place and the waiter was very accommodating. Absolute recommendation!

Food is good, but not outstanding or particularly fancy. Very narrow, you can hear every conversation from the people sitting next to you. Service was okay, but there was still the feeling that the table should be given away quickly.

Food is good, but it's a bit hectic and cramped. Bench rather uncomfortable. I think that's part of the overall concept: you move on quickly after eating and make room for the next shift. Prices moderate.

Great service and attentive staff.. Expected something better based on the reviews I’ve read. found that the chicken was made way ahead of time and you could tell that the chicken was dry and it wasnt actually marinated and in typical Vietnamese marinate sauce. And it didn’t go well with the food, because it tasted bland compared to the noodles and the herbs that they had placed on the meal. spring roll was OK nothing extravagant same thing it just felt too plain and flat and hoping that I could enjoy it but it was just having a quick dinner and I was out of there and I would not recommend

We arrived here tonight ordered starters & half way though eating them our mains arrived. My husband ordered the duck with fried noodles & I had the caramelised monkfish in clay pot. I could only eat some of the fish as it was so salty & the broth it was in was even worse. The duck was ok but the noodles were congealed & stuck together. Both plates arrived with so much green salad it was impossible to see what we were eating. All in all a very disappointing meal we were in an out within the hour. Far too quick service indicates the food isn’t cooked fresh. Bill for 2 glasses of white wine 1 small starter & 2 mains €67. Definitely won’t return

The best Vietnamese restaurant I have been in Munich so far. The menu offers a lot of variety and the food comes quick but fresh. They have all the classics of Vietnamese food, but they also add the little something extra to it that makes it stand out. The place is quite small and cozy so a reservation is recommended. Highly recommend it!

Sehr lecker. Kann ich nir empfehlen. Wir hatten für 5 Personen reserviert am ende sind doch 2 Personen mehr gekommen. Trozdem konnten wir uns ein Tisch besorgen. Das Essen kam schnell keine lange warte zeit. Gemüse frisch und knackig.

Letztens habe ich Ente mit gebratenem Gemüse bestellt und NOCH NIE in meinem Leben habe ich sowas Salziges in der asiatischen Küche gegessen... Danach musste ich die ganze Zeit trinken... Es ist mir echt ein Rätsel, warum das Resto so viele positive Bewertungen hat...

Wir waren zu viert an einem Freitagabend im Nam Giao 31. Um einen Platz zu bekommen unbedingt vorher reservieren, weil das Restaurant sehr klein ist. Ich schätze mal nur 30 Sitzplätze. Wir bestellten eine Suppe, Poh Bo und ein vegetarischer Vorspeiseteller, Ba Mo An Choi als Vorspeisen. Als Hauptspeisen aßen wir gebratene Reisbandnudeln, Pho Xao Rau, Ente mit frischen Gemüse im Tontopf, Vit Kho To, gebratene Undonnudeln, Banh Canh Xao und knuspriges Weizennudelbett, Mi Xao Cion. Die Speisen schmeckten uns allen sehr gut und die einzelnen Gewürzen konnte man gut heraus schmecken. Leider wurden die Hauptspeisen schon gereicht ob wohl wir mit den Vorspeisen noch nicht fertig waren. Die Bedienung war leider auch nicht zu überreden sie wieder in die Küchen mit zunehmen. Schade, deshalb nur vier Punkte

Wir sind durch Zufall vorbeigekommen. Die Außengastro und die Deko sprach mich sofort an. Hier sitzt man sehr gemütlich unter großen Schirmen am Straßenrand, geschützt durch bepflanzte Paletten und holzumrahmte Glaselemente. Der sehr freundliche Kellner brachte uns rasch die bestellten Getränke und kurz darauf schon das sehr leckere Essen. Wir sind rundum zufrieden-viel Dank.

An absolute must visit! The food was incredible, the service was excellent (Thank you, Lee!), and no ask was too much. We visited for my birthday dinner and they even gave us complimentary drinks! We will definitely return. I would give 10 stars if I could!

First experience in a Vietnamese kitchen. The ambiance was pretty small and crowded, means that the food was supposed to be good. Indeed everything was above expectation. I had a mixed rolls and a bowl of noodles with beef and it was all so good. Very recommended.

There’s a really tasty and varied selection of food on offer - all 4 of us got something different and we all raved about our food during and after the meal. Would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food.

Für mich der beste Vietnamese in ganz München. Ich liebe die familiäre Atmosphäre, den aufmerksamen Service und natürlich vor allem das leckere Essen ;-p. Die Preise sind etwas gehoben, aber für das Gebotene absolut angemessen! Kommen immer wieder gerne ;-)

**be careful not to order by number but by dishes name** I ordered 8a. summer roll for takeaway but they gave me a vegetarian version(both are 8a.) The tofu in summer roll was very thin and small, couldn’t tell there was tofu in it if I didn’t take a deeper look. Hoisin peanut sauce was quite nice tho. Very disappointed I didn’t get what I wanted.

Amazing food. i chose noodles with vegetables and duck and everything was cooked and flavored perfectly. The portion was quite big and the order came very fast. This experience made me want to go back and try again Vietnamese food. In addition, the price seemed right for the portion and the dish and the staff was extremely friendly and nice.

The boss Ninh is such a nice guy. He helps to make all the customers happy. The food there is amazing. I especially like the iced lemon tea I had it was beautiful and yum. The food was yum!

You get good food for a good value here. The setting is quite urban, meaning that the outside area is set onto the pavement and constructed with palettes. The service is very speedy, almost too quick. The food is freshly prepared and allows a good array of individualisation. They also offer a good variety of (self-created?) cock- and mocktails.

Das Nam Gioa war über viele Jahre unser Stammlokal. Seit ein paar Wochen hat es einen neuen Besitzer und die erste Erfahrung war leider sehr enttäuschend: Aus der Küche riecht es nach schlechtem Fett, die Entensoße war angebrannt, die anderen Gerichte fad gewürzt. Wir werden nicht mehr hingehen.....

Heerlijk gegeten, zowel voorgerecht (mix) als de hoofdgerechten ( rundsvlees met groenten in rode curry en lauwwarme noedels met kip en garnalen). Heel vriendelijke en snelle bediening.

Naar aanleiding van de reacties op deze site hebben we een tafel geboekt. Het is een leuk restaurant met een terras voor de deur. Helaas door de regen waren we genoodzaakt binnen te zitten. Het eten is echt heerlijk! Genoten van de verschillende smaken. Het personeel is ook erg vriendelijk! Zeker een aanrader.
