It was a coincidence that we walked in there. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The service was super friendly and helpful, and we were happy to tip even though we paid by card. The food was delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced. If we're ever in Paderborn again, we'll definitely eat there.

Three of us ate there yesterday. I had already looked for a restaurant beforehand. I really liked the concept. Luckily, we were able to get a table without a reservation. We tried everything. We started with the bread basket with three different dips. Highly recommended. Then came the main course. Vegetarian burger, pulled chicken, and Gorgonzola schnitzel. Everyone was full and satisfied. And dessert was a must, too. The service was always friendly and attentive. And I'd like to mention something positive: once you'd finished your meal, you weren't immediately rushed out. A very successful evening. We'd be happy to come back.

I eat at Mundus regularly and am impressed every time. The dishes are always fresh and delicious, the ambiance is inviting, and the entire team, especially owner Oliver, impresses with their warmth and attentiveness. I would particularly like to highlight the vegetarian alternatives to almost all dishes, which are carefully prepared and make the restaurant something special. There's also plenty of variety: There are always new, creative dishes that make you want to try something new. This means I can easily dine here with my vegetarian friends and colleagues without anyone having to miss out. Mundus is a true highlight. Versatile, welcoming, and highly recommended!

A truly recommendable restaurant! We stumbled upon Mundus yesterday quite by chance – and were thrilled! The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is truly impressive, and the menu is presented very clearly and concisely. This made our decision easy. We would also like to particularly highlight the extremely friendly and attentive service – you simply feel welcome here. A quick note: A "vegan-friendly" sticker at the entrance would be nice – at least we didn't notice any, and it would certainly help to make the commitment to plant-based cuisine even more visible. We would definitely be happy to come back!

No matter how varied your preferences, there's truly something for everyone here – whether meat dishes or vegan specialties. From burgers to curries to vegan meatloaf, we've tried a variety of dishes and were always delighted! The selection of drinks and desserts also leaves nothing to be desired. The culinary experience at Mundus is rounded out by friendly and attentive service and a harmonious ambiance. We'll definitely be back and would happily recommend it – especially to vegetarian or vegan people!

We had lunch at Mundus on July 11, 2025, and chose the lunch special: strips of beef with fried mushrooms on potato pancakes, which we thought were homemade. It was served with herb cream and a mixed leaf salad with homemade raspberry dressing... Simply delicious!! The owner was very friendly and took the time for a chat 😊 Highly recommended.

For a celebration, five of us booked a table for 7:30 p.m. At first, everything went smoothly: the service and atmosphere were pleasant. The aperitifs were good, and the starter (bread basket) was small but tasty. After 95 minutes of waiting for our food, we were told we were the next table in line. By the time three other tables (who all arrived later) had received their food, we had had enough after almost two hours of waiting and left Mundus. The service was very disappointing (no one asked if we wanted drinks), even though we were sitting directly in view of the bar. At least the bartender had the decency to buy us drinks. That saved us from a 1-star rating.

Unfortunately, our experience was not good. We both ordered the rum steak menu. The meat was good, just not hot. The rest of the menu could have been skipped. The service and the kitchen were unfamiliar with their menu. Instead of the potatoes included in the menu, we were served cheap fries, which were dry and oversalted. The caramelized onions were completely missing. They only offered to say sorry and not replace them. The menu was dry, and a dip or sauce was missing. It was very disappointing. The service was poor. Answer: No, that was not the case. They did not offer to refill the potatoes; instead, they wanted to take the entire menu back to the kitchen. We declined this, as we had already waited 37 minutes. We would have liked to have the potatoes refilled. When we asked again, we told the service that a sauce or dip was missing, but they did not respond or offer anything.

I don't know why there aren't more bad reviews. The food wasn't as ordered. OK, that can happen. But hair and plastic in the food is completely unacceptable. And the craftsmanship was not a masterpiece. We had 3 portions of sweet potato fries with our meals and 2 were too dark, almost black, and the other portion was light, not crispy and soggy. The portions in general were rather small and didn't taste that great. But the desserts really topped it all. I've never had such small desserts for the money. The sauce for apple strudel or something similar usually comes in such small bowls. A mini portion that you won't get anywhere else like it. And the crème brûlée was more like a soup and was flaky to boot. You can't make that up and you can't offer it to anyone. We feel really sick after our visit. We definitely wouldn't recommend it. You should avoid this restaurant. And when you look around you'll see that it's the only place where it's very quiet. Go where it's crowded and not where nobody wants to go ;)...

We had a delicious cocktail, the "Kiss of the Dragon." Very friendly and prompt staff! We'll be back for more food!

We were there for dinner and tried the schnitzel. They were delicious. The portions were more than generous. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was served quickly. Paying with the voucher book worked perfectly. We'll definitely be back.

A very, very great restaurant! It's a real shame I live so far away, otherwise I would love to eat there more often! There are so many vegetarian and vegan options, I could hardly decide! Normally, you might find a dish that's good or okay because you have no other choice. I just couldn't decide because everything sounded delicious. And there's something for everyone! It's also visually impressive—both the food and the restaurant! Friendly service on top of that. How often do you get the complete package? Thanks to the Mundus team, keep up the good work! :)

Generally speaking, this is a very nice and friendly restaurant in Paderborn. We spent our lunch break there with several colleagues. Prices were really fair. The food was rather so-so. The soup (asparagus soup) was very tasteless and thin. The bread that came with it felt like it was from the day before. Very dry and hard. We were the only customers there. The food was unfortunately disappointing, the drinks were nothing special, but the atmosphere itself was quite nice, both inside and outside. Unfortunately, due to the poor quality of the food, we won't be back.

I have an onion allergy, and both times they were very friendly and uncomplaining, asking what was available and/or offering me an alternative. Super friendly service and excellent food! Unfortunately, I'm only here for my rehab, otherwise I would love to come back.

There were four of us at Mundus, two of whom were vegetarians, and everyone was completely satisfied. The dishes were not only delicious, but also beautifully presented, and the portions were definitely more than adequate. We were also particularly impressed by the homemade lemonade. The service was really good—especially considering the server was alone that evening. Nevertheless, he was friendly, and most things went smoothly without us having to wait long. The only minor drawback: it was quite loud, which didn't exactly make conversation at the table any easier. Nevertheless, we'd be happy to come back.

We spontaneously went there with a small group and got a table without any problems. The food was really delicious, you can't complain, but the ratio of HOW MUCH YOU GET is pretty sad. The service was OK, considering the guy was alone. The worst part was that we came there specifically for the 2-for-1 cocktail offer. Unfortunately, the cocktails were an absolute disgrace and not enjoyable at all. The atmosphere is nice, too, but the clientele is more of an older crowd. You can definitely get a good meal or a beer there, but... YOU NEED TO KNOW.

As a vacationer, you often Google where to eat, and a great leather bag shop recommended Mundus. So, off you go! There's nothing to complain about. The waitress/service was very friendly and prompt, and the food was excellent and presented in a way that was pleasing to the eye. It's definitely worth the trip.

The food was average. The asparagus cream soup was too thin and watery, and the fries were overseasoned. The burgers were good. The asparagus schnitzel and Swedish potatoes were okay. The service was attentive before the shift change, but then overwhelmed because something went wrong at the large neighboring table. It's incomprehensible how three waiters "barricaded themselves" behind the counter and helped themselves to drinks while we were left sitting with empty plates. The food was okay, but the service could have been improved in some areas, but unfortunately it was very loud.

We ate there using the voucher book. Everything was excellent, would definitely go back.

Very friendly service and a menu with a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The curry coconut soup and the seasonal asparagus cream soup are highly recommended!

Delicious burger and good service

This was our first visit to this beautiful restaurant because we were curious about the numerous vegan options. After much deliberation, we decided on the vegan schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and the vegan cheeseburger! As you can see from the photos, both dishes were beautifully presented. From the very first bite, we experienced an explosion of flavor and were thrilled by the deliciousness of the food! The vegan cheeseburger tasted very authentic and was almost indistinguishable from a meat burger. I had never experienced anything like it before. The portions were very generous, and we were incredibly full. The staff was also incredibly friendly! I highly recommend a visit there.

Eating here is perfect for groups and families with vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters. Everyone will find something they like here, and the food tastes delicious! Thank you, Oliver, it's always a pleasure to be your guest.

Great restaurant in downtown Paderborn. Delicious and freshly prepared food as well as an interesting selection of dishes on the menu. Individual ambience and friendly, attentive and personable service. So everything is fine. I can fully recommend Mundus and we will definitely be there more often!!

Mundus has a very good selection of vegan dishes. * Both the Swedish potato with pulled jackfruit and the vegan meatloaf were extremely delicious. Everything was very well seasoned for my taste! * For dessert we had the apple puff pastry rose. Very tasty, but a bit difficult to eat in a long-stemmed glass. * The bread basket as a snack is also highly recommended - although I would like to see a larger selection of vegan dips here again. * In winter 24/25 there are now also vegan mini knuckles on the menu. They are visually nicely arranged and taste good, although not a bit like knuckle. In my opinion, the “skin” is made of crispy dough breading, filled with, among other things, with jackfruit. The filling could use more binding so that the consistency is a little firmer. I would like to thank Mundus for its openness and willingness to experiment with vegan dishes. Please keep it up!

I absolutely loved Mundus! Almost all of the dishes on the menu were also available in vegan versions, which I thought was really great. The service was super nice and you immediately felt at home. The atmosphere was also very nice and inviting. I can only recommend it.

Super nice. The food was great. Almost everything can be made vegan. I had clearly made “duck” myself. It was fantastic. The lemonade is delicious, the service is great, you can sit for longer and the courtyard is so cool. Go eat there if you want burgers, seasonal food and curry. There's more. The vegan meatloaf also tasted great.

Big compliments to Mundus! We were there for the first time yesterday and there will be more visits to come, it was really great all around! The food was super delicious, especially the Swedish potato with the vegetarian and vegan versions! The drinks and cocktails were also great and the service was super nice and funny!

Anyone who chooses the schnitzel dishes will be disappointed. Everything out of the deep fryer, both the schnitzel and the potato slices. So it was really heavy in the stomach. Why don't you fry in a pan? Very unfortunate. The Swedish potatoes would probably have been a better choice.

Yesterday I was in Paderborn with my sister and spontaneously stopped at Mundus because of the lunch menu. There were two menus to choose from. The service was nice and quick. We opted for Schnitzel Gorgonzola with Gorgonz. - Cream sauce and caramellis. Walnuts decided. There were also potato slices and a salad garnish as well as a small dessert at a good price. We really enjoyed the food, it was really tasty. We would definitely like to come back!

We had dinner with 6 colleagues and spontaneously indulged in some cocktails during happy hour. The food was delicious and plentiful. The cocktails are also delicious. The prices are fair and the service was excellent! We'd love to come back if we're in the area again :-)

I love the food at Mundus - especially the burgers and hash browns. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and our dog is always welcome. One of our favorite places :)

We ate there for the first time today, really delicious! Food came super quickly and the service was also very nice!! I would probably recommend switching to 10 mm fries, as the thin 7 mm fries are not quite as tasty and also get cold quickly, but that can also be a matter of taste.

We are extremely disappointed. Before: my husband made reservations extra early. When we arrived, we were directed to the bar and waited for an hour for a real seat, which we didn't get. You don't know spices. The food was cold and expensive and the meat was tough. We're sad! But the waiters were nice.

No matter whether meat, vegetarian, vegan, you can invite all your friends here! Super cool, finally no more compromises, chic shop, very great people and of course delicious food. Definitely try it out :)

The food was very good except for one dish. Unfortunately, the baked vegetables with the potatoes were too seasoned. The service was super friendly.

We went to Mundus on Saturday evening for drinks. When we arrived we were told straight away that the kitchen was already closed, but that wasn't a problem for us. After we were assigned a table, we unfortunately had to wait a little longer for the service person, which was still absolutely acceptable given a full shop. We took advantage of the “Cocktail Happy Hour” offer and were not disappointed. We ordered two rounds of drinks and had them quickly brought to the table. Cocktails were really tasty and looked good too! We'd love to come back to try the food too.

Spontaneous visit on a Saturday evening for four and got a place. Later we knew why: It's really rare to see such unmotivated, confused and slow staff! It took 20 minutes before we could even place an order. I saw that everyone in service does everything: first take the order, then prepare their own drinks and bring them to their guests. No wonder it's taking so forever! I asked if there was anything else to eat and was told no, but I was still asked if I wanted the menu. Anyone who wants to understand that... Well, it was cocktail happy hour and we ordered 4 cocktails. Since I don't drink alcohol, someone also had to take a cocktail without alcohol, because the cocktail offer only applies to 2 of the same cocktails. But that's not what's on offer! These half price cocktails were so straight - at full price they would have been an absolute disgrace! The already small glasses are only half full, cheeky! (see photo) and we haven't drunk anything yet! And if every guest pays the same, they should get the same amount. I would prefer to give zero stars for the underground service. It's a shame what has become of the old "Kampus", but the Mundus will not see us again.

Tonight we had Swedish potatoes with pulled chicken, Tai chicken curry and crème brulee and baklava for dessert. The food was very tasty and the price was appropriate. The operation was very pleasant, especially during training. It was a very nice stay.

It was our first and unfortunately last visit. I ordered bruscetta. There came 3 small dry slices of baguette and an extra jar of unripe chopped tomatoes mixed with lots of onions. Unfortunately it only tasted like onions... It was good that there were some rocket leaves with balsamic vinegar (also prepared specially), which hid the onions a bit. Unfortunately, the other four people didn't like the food either. The grilled vegetable plate was swimming in fat and the potato also had no taste. The bread plate consisted of 3 small slices of baguette and two dips, the burger also lacked flavor and the sweet potato fries were greasy. All in all, a disappointing dinner. But the drinks were delicious!

We went there around half hour before the break so could get a table without waiting. We were welcomed by people there. There were already a couple of big group but was not that noisy. We had coffees and some finger foods there. It was a bit hard to find nice restaurant with good coffee in the area but the coffee there was well balanced and I really enjoyed it. Pommes also crespy and teasty! We could not order big food since we were already had a lunch but surely want back there for lunch or dinner!

Reserved for Saturday evening 8:00 p.m. The restaurant was filled to capacity. Starters “Bread Basket” and “Bruschetta” came quite quickly. The bread was simple, easy-to-build bread that had already been prepared a few hours beforehand. Plus some pretty tasty sauces. At 9:10 p.m. the waitress came and told us that the vegan meatloaf was out and whether it could also be vegan Chinese duck. Food came at 9:30 p.m. It's just a shame, we were really looking forward to the evening. As compensation there was a coffee on the house. Food was quite tasty. The waitresses were consistently friendly. The service can do very little for mistakes in the kitchen.

Because we ordered in advance, the food was already ready upon arrival and therefore a bit cold. Salad on the plates made people hang their heads. Otherwise everything is fine

The food was ok and the service was friendly but we had reserved a table for 4 people and when we came in we of course got the smallest table right at the entrance/exit and it is not well suited for tall guests like me with 2m.

Ambience between modern and rustic. The food was ok, but it didn't blow me away, it was more geared towards quick service. The service was mediocre; there seemed to be a lot of temporary staff and one trained service person. Drinks were ok. Overall pretty average. It's not bad, but it doesn't blow you away.

There were 6 of us with my family who ate here. We had reserved as a precaution, but there was still enough space available in the restaurant (during the week, perhaps different on the weekend). The menu is manageable and contains selected dishes. I ordered the cheeseburger and got a portion of fries with it. The quality was good, but the citizen's sauce wasn't homemade; I have the same one in the fridge at home. All in all, the food was good, the service was fine and the ambience was nice. I can definitely recommend a visit to Mundus.

I would like to rate the food if I had it... Waited at least 1.5 hours for a burger with fries. In any case, service is not the top priority here. Edit: After 2 hours the food was there. There wasn't much to be seen of the brioche bun.

Tuesday evening without reservation, no problem, free choice of seats. To eat there was a Swedish potato with grilled vegetables and a Thai chicken curry. The grilled vegetables were burnt in places, so the waitress was made aware of this. There was a new grilled vegetable without any problems. You could tell from the taste of the potato that it was pre-cooked and ready to order. The Thai was not Thai, but rather Indian, but cleverly and interestingly prepared. It had fire but was a little over-seasoned. But the pulled chicken in it was brilliant. That was huge. The drinks menu is impressive. A large selection, sometimes a little off the beaten track when it comes to lemonades and spritzers. By 9 p.m., 2/3 of the tables were filled. Acoustically, the room lacks a solution, as the acoustics are quite loud, even with some empty tables, which is noticeable. The restaurant is characterized by offering meat, vegan and vegetarian dishes. You can park in the Libori Gallery or in one of the three parking areas on Liboriberg, or in the Volksbank parking garage or at the cathedral parking lot. You have to walk a few meters as there are no parking spaces at the Kamp. There are high chairs in the restaurant so that small children can also be taken along.

We don't come from Paderborn and came to Mundus spontaneously. The meat eaters among us got their money's worth with the solid schnitzels, although the "salad side dish" was very poor and side dishes cost extra. The service was nice, quick and courteous. The background noise is a bit loud, but still within limits. The experiences of the vegetarians among us were very mixed: Although there is a comparatively large selection for them, the pulled jackfruit (see photo), for example, was a bad joke. This looked like it had been slapped onto the burger straight from the can. This is much better.

Yesterday we stopped here after strolling around town. I ate the beef skewer. It was really great! Unfortunately, after eating we sat in front of empty plates for a long time. The waitresses, although very nice, were unfortunately not careful enough. After serving at a table, you should always look around on the way back to see whether it is possible to clear away somewhere else. Otherwise, Mundus is definitely recommended

The food here is very tasty. The service was friendly and the portion size is also very good. 1 star deducted because the prices are slightly higher than in comparable restaurants. We went to Mundus for lunch. Ambiance: We wanted to sit at a small round table by the window. However, it was dingy and obviously hadn't been cleaned properly after the last guests. At first there was no music, later there was quiet music However, the conversations behind the counter were still clearly audible and involved things that would normally not be told audibly to guests. This was also the case on our previous visits. The candles are on the table, but have not been lit. Eat: The food was not a culinary revelation. The other day we had pretty soft overcooked vegetables, this time chicken schnitzel and vegan schnitzel with fries and salad. The chicken was frozen meat, probably fried, the fries were okay, the small salad garnish was okay. The service was ok. Overall, not a performance that encourages us to repeat. It's a shame, the shop is really nice.

Recently at lunch there were different types of schnitzel with fries and salad. There was nothing to complain about in terms of craftsmanship or taste. It was really tasty, although not addictive. The service was good and seating outside was nice.
