Sehr gutes Essen und sympathischer Service. Zu Beginn lange Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen. Dennoch eine sehr gute Adresse.

Es war erneut ein kulinarisches Erlebnis mit ausgesprochen aufmerksamen Service! Die Qualität der Speisen war hervorragend und es war - abgesehen von dem wieder sehr kühlen Restaurant - ein gelungener und sehr schöner Abend!

Essen gut bis sehr gut, aber auch teuer (Hauptspeise), Ambiente schwierig: Licht viel zu hell (Bahnhofsatmosphäre)und so kalt, dass man mit Jacke besser aufgehoben war… daher leider überhaupt nicht cozy!

5 Recommended Asian Fusion Dinner Dishes by Gang Perhaps it's just that Asian food suits my taste better, but personally, I felt it was more aesthetically pleasing, simple, and delicious in presentation and style than the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Munich. It didn't overdo the complex flavors; the main and secondary flavors were well-defined. As someone who enjoys novelty, I love the combination of different elements. 🫔The appetizers were plentiful, including radish, spring rolls, and tacos… the arrangement of these ingredients was very innovative. 🍣The sushi wasn't anything special; I was advised to eat it from left to right. 🐟The fish and soup were a bit salty, but the mixed rice was surprisingly delicious in terms of seasoning and texture. 🍜The pasta had the perfect firmness—not as hard as Italian pasta, but definitely chewy, and the broth was excellent. 🥩The steak was cooked perfectly. The truffle slices on the mashed potatoes gave it a premium feel, although I'm not a big fan of truffles. 🍨The black sesame macarons are a fusion of East and West, and the chocolate chip cookies are exquisite and delicious. The 5-course Gang meal costs €98. The ambiance and service are excellent. I had a great time with friends and highly recommend trying it! ❤️

A very good and delicious restaurant. We booked for two through Hidden Table two days in advance, and it worked perfectly. When we arrived, I mentioned that I have celiac disease, and it wasn't a problem at all. The kitchen adapted the four courses for me and prepared everything gluten-free. They even had gluten-free soy sauce. The sashimi and halibut were amazing. I highly recommend it.

A wonderful spot with great ambiance, friendly service and amazing food. Did the 5 course tasting menu and every single dish was standout. The wine pairing is worth the extra spend and is spot on. My personal favorites were the amuse bouché tuna sampler as well as the fresh fish sashimi sampler.

Everything was great, but it took three hours for the four-course meal. At some point, my backside started to hurt.

Exquisite. The cuisine is amazing, creative and simply delicious. This is food art at it's finest. Staff is super friendly and observant. Ambient is a cunning mix of cozy versus modern chic.

The food was good, especially the Korean fried chicken and popcorn shrimp, which were really tasty and authentic. However, I would have preferred a bit more Asian flair in the ambiance, perhaps through lighting or decor, to make the atmosphere more inviting. Overall, though, it was a lovely evening with good food, even if the concept doesn't quite match a classic Korean BBQ for me personally.

We sat on the terrace. The food was good, but nothing more. It doesn't live up to its price at all. There are definitely places in Munich that are tastier and cheaper. Friendly waiters :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Restaurant Mun. The dishes on the vegan tasting menu were delicious and harmonious. I particularly appreciated that Chef Mun agreed to prepare the menu gluten-free for me. We warmly recommend this special experience to everyone!

What a joke. The moment you step in, the basement stench and lack of air hit you – no connection either, which might actually be a blessing so you can’t Google how badly you’re being ripped off. The food? Tasteless, lifeless, absolutely nothing of the vibrant Asian flavors you’d expect. I even noted it was my birthday when reserving, but they couldn’t care less. Funny enough, even cheap neighborhood spots manage to pour you a glass of prosecco or offer a kind gesture. Here, you just pay a fortune for disappointment.

In short: some of the sushi was really good, some not so much. For the price, i really expected something different. And we were ALONE, only one other couple was there. In more detail: we came through the "hidden table"-app and so were on a preset japanese menu. It started off with a very nice soup, but i wasnt very happy with the clams - very dry. The second course was sashimi, which was really good, with high quality fish and exceptional seasoning. The following courses were three nigiri each, hogh quality fish, only with one I had a bit of a mouldy aftertaste. Then we had a greeting from the kitchen, which was a fish-pudding-like thing, warm and very interesting but also unusual taste. Then we had "white maki", sushi with crab, cucumber and avocado with a white coating. The server didnt know what it was, i think it was a very thin egg-crêpe. Then we had some sake but no dessert, which we expected with the price of the menu (90€). What made me feel a little big queezy was the fact that we were alone. There was only one other couple but other than that, the restaurant was completely empty. And they had a sign in the bathrooms, reminding you to tip. In a restaurant with prices like that, i do expect the guests to tip accordingly

The host greeted us in Greek, recognizing our surname from the reservation list, a delightful and unexpected touch that set the tone for an unforgettable evening. A word of advice: reservations are essential, as this place is understandably in high demand. Also, with Munich’s recent heatwave, opt for indoor seating for a cool and comfortable experience. We decided to go à la carte and ordered the Black Angus, which was an absolute masterpiece. The dish was accompanied by 12 exquisite tapa-style Korean delicacies, each bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The perfectly cooked jasmine rice and two flawless sauces elevated the meal to another level, striking a balance of bold and delicate tastes that left us in awe. MUN is a shining star in Munich’s dining scene, blending exceptional Korean cuisine with impeccable service. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this restaurant is an absolute must. Congratulations to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience—we can’t wait to return!

A lovely evening at MUN with specialties from Korean-Japanese cuisine. We decided against the set menus, as at least one or two courses weren't for us. Instead, we went a la carte... the food was of a high standard and very tasty. The ambiance is simple but stylish. The restrooms are very clean! The friendly service was always attentive without being intrusive. Despite everything, we found the price a bit too high... you can find sashimi and BBQ in separate restaurants, for example, of even higher quality at similar prices. But it was a lovely evening, and we enjoyed it.

We had a great experience here. Each dish was super delicious and good quality. They look like small portion but you will be super full in the half way already. It was expensive but worthed.

We've been coming to MUN at least once a year since 2016 and always leave feeling extremely satisfied. The excellent service, as well as the taste and quality of the food, have impressed us every time. The value for money is absolutely excellent. Only the glass partitions (still in place due to the pandemic) between the tables make seating a bit cramped and, in our opinion, are no longer up-to-date. We'll be back!

Das war ziemlich belanglos. Von fine dining weit entfernt. Von 5 Gängen 2 ganz OK, den Rest mache ich ohne Aufwand zuhause besser.

Abendzeitung Dining Class 9/25 First, praise for the very friendly and dedicated service and the good wine pairing. The menu was unfortunately only mediocre. It started with pumpkin cream, very bland with a few pine nuts, and walnut, very bland in flavor, like baby food. This was followed by a bland salad with some cold chicken, also very harmless. This was followed by "deconstructed sushi," loose sushi rice with fish and cucumber. The fish was of good quality and was OK. The sirloin with miso mushroom paste was good, the best course of the menu. The dessert, ginger cinnamon sorbet, had a kick, and the chocolate mousse was OK. Overall, simply too mediocre for a second attempt.

We tried the special menu in May – an offering that, at first glance, promised a lot of value for a fair price, but ultimately was only partially convincing. The restaurant advertises itself as a fine dining destination, but unfortunately doesn't consistently live up to this claim. The room's decor is beautiful, but the atmosphere is severely detracted from by the uncomfortable, incongruous lighting. The menu itself was solid in terms of flavor, but by no means exceptional. While it improved somewhat over time, it remained at a rather average level overall. The accompanying wines were okay, but nothing special. On a positive note, the extremely friendly and attentive service provided a pleasant, human atmosphere to the evening – even if the overall experience fell short of expectations.

5 Gänge Menü Ess Klasse Wir haben mit Freunden das 5 Gänge Menü Ess Klasse ausprobiert und waren alle sehr begeistert. Das Essen war auf Sterneniveau und auch der Service war spitze. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Mun ist immer ein Besuch wert, das Essen ist hervorragend und der Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Der Service war sehr freundlich hilfsbereit und aufmerksam und das Menü war ganz hervorragend. Wenn mal was Besonderes will, kann ich das Lokal nur empfehlen. Ich gehe bestimmt mal wieder hin und genieße die Köstlichkeiten.

Wir haben im Rahmen der Ess Klasse hier gegessen. Es war rundherum wunderbar: Qualität der Speisen, Service, Ambiente.

We went there for a menu that was very tasty. However, apart from the mango and carrot dressing, there wasn't anything particularly creative. The service and wine were excellent!

Disappointing, especially for the price. When I reserved I selected a la carte rather than the set menu. However, only the set menu was available on the day. Then we had to take the set menu with wine even though we didn't want to drink (they gave us two bottles to take home at least). But the most disappointing thing was the food. Soup overly sweet and a strange texture. Basic chicken salad with little flavour. Tasty sushi course but tiny. Steak that was pretty good but a bit chewy. The only excellent course was the desert - chocolate pudding with ginger sorbet. Also, can't complain about the service. Our waiter was excellent. Maybe if I went back and had the a la carte it would be better. But I'm pretty certain I won't.

Das MUN ist ein gehobenes Restaurant mit exzellenter Qualität. Der Preis ist für das was man geboten bekommt mehr als angemessen. Denn leider sehen viele nicht, dass echtes Handwerk hinter so einem Essen steckt. Wir hatten das 4-Gang Menü und wir waren restlos begeistert. Der Service ist super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Und zum Schluss gab es noch eine kleine Kerze zum Geburtstag dazu. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich und total aufmerksam. Auch die Zeit zwischen den Gängen war perfekt. Nicht zu lang und nicht zu kurz. Kurzum, wer feinste Qualität und Kochhandwerk zu einem wirklich fairen Preis möchte ist im MUN genau richtig. Kulinarischer Genuss vom Gruß aus der Küche bis hin zum Dessert. Hervorragend!

Vi er vant til god mad, og har høje krav; Det var det beste sushi jeg har smagt MEGET længe, super lækker 4 retters menu, hvor vinen var super fantastisk sat sammen til maden. Der er hyggeligt der og så var tjeneren helt igennem skøn. Han tog sig tid og det gjorde han hos alle, var opmærksom, sød, venlig og sjov. Kan kun anbefale stedet på det kraftigste. Mange tak til kokken for denne sublime oplevelse.

My experience at MUN in Munich – mixed impressions at a high level Overall, the visit to MUN was pleasant - the atmosphere is stylish, modern and cozy at the same time. You can immediately tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on atmosphere and a high-quality guest experience. The service also deserves high praise: attentive, friendly and professional from the first moment. As for the food: The dishes were consistently well prepared, fresh and visually appealing - but that certain something was missing. Unfortunately, the depth of taste, creative sophistication or a surprising accent that would be expected at a restaurant in this price range were missing. The cuisine is solidly in the good range, without surprising in terms of cuisine. I therefore found the price-performance ratio to be a bit unbalanced. For the level offered, the overall experience is high quality, but not entirely consistent with the prices quoted. Conclusion: If you are looking for an upscale atmosphere with good service, you will get your money's worth here. However, anyone hoping for culinary finesse and a special taste experience might be a little disappointed.

The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly and accommodating. If you are pregnant you should avoid the restaurant, the adapted menu was nothing special, just because you are pregnant you don't have to get 80% of the vegan menu. You could definitely serve scallops without caviar, the buckwheat noodles were not a wow experience in terms of taste, as was fruit with chocolate sauce. For the main course, the puree was cold and this is a no go, the meat was very tasty. This entire change to the menu was not discussed in advance. Unfortunately, price and performance do not generally match.

Das Restaurant bietet ein exzellentes Asian Fine Dining-Erlebnis mit raffinierter Küche und erstklassigen Zutaten. Die Gerichte sind kunstvoll angerichtet und geschmacklich perfekt ausbalanciert. Das stilvolle Ambiente und der aufmerksame Service runden das Erlebnis ab. Besonders beeindruckend war die Nigiri-Sushi Auswahl, die mit insgesamt fünf verschiedenen Fischsorten serviert wird . Ein Muss für Liebhaber der asiatischen Gourmetküche! Wir kommen jederzeit wieder!

Ich war mit meiner Freundin zum Valentinstag dort. Das 6-Gänge-Menu war wirklich unfassbar gut. Und zwar jeder der 6 Gänge! Meine Freundin kommt selbst aus einem Familienbetrieb (eines der erfolgreichsten Steakhäuser in Bayern) und wir haben daher einen doch recht hohen Standard. MUN hat diese nicht nur eingehalten, sondern definitiv übertroffen. Auch das Ambiente, das Personal und alles drum herum war wirklich wunderbar. Wir können daher das MUN Restaurant ausnahmslos empfehlen. Da ist der stolze Preis mehr als gerechtfertigt. Vroni und ich kommen ohne Zweifel wieder und werden euch auch aktiv weiterempfehlen. Wir waren am 24.01.25 zum Dinner, Gäste im koreanischen Gourmet-Tempel. Die Begrüßung vom Empfangschef "Gary" war sehr, sehr nett und man fühlte sich als neuer Gast sehr willkommen. Der Chef "Kim Mun" hat sich persönlich für unseren Besuch bedankt. Die Empfehlung am Tisch von "Dominik", das "4 - Gang-Degustationsmenü" zu wählen war top. Die Speisen wurden von ihm und seinem "japanischen Kollegen" (nochmals "Domo Arigato") bis ins kleinste Detail erklärt. (Leider ist uns der japanische Name entfallen.) Auf meine, im Voraus angegebenen Lebensmittel-Allergien wurde absolut aufmerksam reagiert. Vielen Dank dafür. Liebe "Trip-Advisor - Leser", gönnt Euch einen Dinner-Abend bei "MUN" mit erlesener Weinauswahl. I chose the five-course menu for dinner. At first it seemed a little expensive, but as the dishes were brought to us and we were able to see the quality of the ingredients and flavors, my friend and I realized that the price was worth it. We were very satisfied with the portions and we were able to enjoy the textures and flavors, so I think the price is fair.

Mun Restaurant offers solid Korean cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. At the Korean barbecue, the 12 dishes are tasty and freshly prepared, and the selection is varied. The meat (rib eye steak) was well done, it was not barbecue. 🍗 Plus raw onions. 🧅 However, the restaurant is advertised as Korean fine dining, which doesn't live up to expectations. It's more of a regular Korean restaurant without any extraordinary sophistication or creative highlights. The prices are quite high, which makes the overall package somewhat unbalanced. If you're simply looking for good Korean cuisine, this is the place for you - but don't expect fine dining.

Have we died and gone to Los Angeles? Wow! Who would have thought we would find a gem like this right in our little neighborhood of Haidhausen? Spectacular cuisine, meticulously prepared, and artistically presented by the most warm and inviting staff. We both enjoyed the 4 course tasting menu. Highly recommend!

Als Koreaner, Ich lebe schon seit 18 Jahren im Ausland. Während dieser Zeit habe ich ab und zu in koreanischen Restaurants im Ausland koreanisches Essen genossen, doch zu Hause konnte ich nur einfache Hausmannskost selbst zubereiten. Ihre Gerichte jedoch sind von einer Kreativität und Modernität geprägt, wie ich sie noch nie zuvor gesehen habe, und zugleich vermitteln sie den traditionellen Geschmack Koreas auf beeindruckende Weise. Exceptional omakase experience—one of the best Japanese meals I’ve had in Munich. Fresh, local ingredients, including unique choices like dorade fish, bring surprising flavors. The menu also offers subtle Korean influences, adding to its originality. For those who appreciate refined Japanese cuisine, Mun delivers. They thoughtfully made the entire meal gluten-free for my wife, which we greatly appreciated. While the seating arrangement wasn’t ideal for her, the food quality was outstanding, making it a five-star experience in my book. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had a nice experience at MUN, especially with their omakase menu. The quality of the food was exceptional—by far the best fresh fish and seafood I've had in Munich. I absolutely loved the homemade dashi broth—it was the best I’ve had outside of Japan. Hearty, fragrant, comforting. Each piece of nigiri sushi was masterfully crafted. There were some toppings, but it was the perfect amount to highlight rather than overpower the rich flavor of the fish. They even went the extra mile to accommodate my celiac disease, providing gluten-free soy sauce and making thoughtful adjustments to the menu, which I really appreciated. My highlight was the snow crab maki, which was incredibly well-composed and flavorful. That said, there were a couple of aspects that didn’t quite live up to the premium price. The seating arrangement left something to be desired. We were seated quite close to the couple next to us, practically at the same table separated only by a plexiglass screen, which made it less private and comfortable than I would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. The service, while certainly friendly, felt a bit rushed and stressed, which somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Also, when we asked to swap the final course (which was sake) for a small dessert instead as we currently don‘t drink alcohol, we were charged extra for the substitution. Given the high price point, I expected a more seamless and accommodating experience in terms of both service and menu flexibility. I was also a little bit bewildered by a sign on the bathroom mirror reminding guests in no uncertain terms to tip (“You can forget to tip, but then our employees will suffer.”) Overall, while the food and attention to dietary needs were outstanding, the atmosphere and service didn't quite match the upscale vibe I was hoping for. Still, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for high-quality Korean fusion cuisine in Munich.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, sehr kreative Menus, tolles Ambiente

The tasting menu at Mun really caught my attention. The aroma was a very nice interplay of sweet, sour and spicy. Of course taste is subjective but everything was right for me from the sushi to the dessert. The price is reasonable for the quality and the portion size was absolutely okay. I like the atmosphere. Overall great!

Ein Hochgenuss, jeder Gang unfassbar gut und großartig kombiniert, die Menge genau richtig. Toller aufmerksamer Service,sehr zu empfehlen,als ein ganz besondere Abend .

Food was very good. We had set menu and we liked everything. Next time in Munich we will definatly come back to “Mun” to eat good susi))

Tried the sushi omakase and it was fantastic! Truly better than most of the sushi I had in Japan. Service was delightful and gave great wine pairing suggestions. Absolutely recommend if you’re in Munich.
