A delicious, crispy roast beef with onions, served with flavorful fried potatoes. Great food with attentive service in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the air in the passageway through the greenhouses is quite stale, which detracts somewhat from the overall impression. The hotel rooms are very modern, clean, and tastefully furnished. Some even have a small bio sauna, which, however, only heats up to 55 degrees Celsius.

The food was excellent. Everything else was also very good. I'd gladly go back.

A true insider tip, which at first glance reminds you of grandma's greenhouse – but don't let that fool you. This restaurant is an absolute culinary highlight! Even the Spritz at the beginning was truly delicious and immediately made you want more. Swabian cuisine is celebrated here at the highest level: down-to-earth, authentic, and yet finely balanced. The starter salad was fresh and beautifully presented – only the potato salad seemed to have a bit too much good old salt. Maybe the chef was just in love, who knows? It was still charming and didn't detract from the overall experience. The "rump steak" in particular was an absolute sensation – multifaceted in flavor, with a subtle miso note, perfectly cooked, and prepared to perfection. I think the picture speaks for itself. In terms of taste and quality, the dish is definitely of Michelin-star quality. The service also deserves high praise: extremely attentive, friendly, and perfectly organized. As soon as a plate was empty, it was discreetly and quickly cleared away. You can tell that the work here is done with passion and professionalism. In conclusion: The food is outstanding, the quality and service are of the highest standard. The ambiance takes a bit of getting used to – it is a greenhouse, after all, and the humidity has an almost tropical feel. Nevertheless, the culinary impressions clearly outweigh the negative ones. Five stars – for great cuisine, warm service, and a chef who was perhaps a little bit in love!

I was privileged to stay there for several days at the end of August. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast delicious and plentiful. All three-course dinners were delicious. The service was excellent. Overall, I would give it top marks in all areas. And I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

A superb hotel, with a fantastic location on a lake, balcony doors with fly screens, a very spacious, very clean room, and a great bathroom with a walk-in shower. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent—a very large selection. Very friendly staff! We would love to come back.

Friendly service and delicious food. We were there as a group of 13 and were served promptly. We didn't have to wait too long for the food either. The atmosphere is cozy, even if the decor is a bit dated. I felt comfortable here and will come back.

Es war angeblich sehr schwierig für zwei Leute einen Platz zu finden. Es waren zahlreiche Tische frei und blieben es auch. Zuvor hatte ich angerufen und es hieß, wir sollten einfach kommen. Man müsste nicht reservieren. Wenn man keine Ansprüche hat wird man satt. Der bestellte Saft wurde in einem schmierigen, klebrigen Glas gebracht. Die Flasche war wohl schon lange offen. Die Geranien freuten sich hoffentlich über die Flüssigkeit. Der bestellte griechische Salat beinhaltete rostige Blätter, auch der Strunk wurde serviert, die billigsten Oliven und Schafskäse aus Kuhmilch. Das Dressing war weder ausreichend noch lecker. Pommes und Cordon Bleu waren tiefgekühlt aus der Friteuse. Leberspätzle sehen eigentlich anders aus. Kaffee, Espresso kam stillos ohne Keks. Dafür find ich es nicht günstig genug. Für die Preise gibt es zahlreiche bessere Alternativen. Im Notfall taugt ein Vesperbrot.

We've been to Muckensee several times. Unfortunately, this time we weren't at all satisfied with the service. After eight, we couldn't really order anything else. We would have liked to stay longer, as some of us were staying at the hotel there. It's a shame, because we've always been very satisfied.

We visited here today for the first time with friends, having come from the far north. What a fantastic location!!! Everything is just perfect here – magical ambiance, super friendly staff, delicious drinks, and the food is excellent. We'd love to come back sometime.

We spent a wonderful few days with our motorcycle group at Muckensee, enjoying excellent service. The team was always courteous and made every effort to fulfill our wishes. The family-friendly atmosphere complemented our sense of well-being. The breakfast and dinner left nothing to be desired.

Hotel restaurant and café on the small "Muckensee." Unfortunately, one meal was assigned to a different table and didn't appear for a while. Otherwise, the service and the Swabian-influenced food were very good. There are also rooms for larger groups.

Very well run restaurant with very attentive and friendly staff. Despite the very busy terrace, the waiting time was very short. The dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted well at good prices. From the terrace, the small lake in front of it invites you to dream.

We had lunch with the family on Sunday. Even though all the rooms were full of guests, we were served very friendly and quickly. Our meals were all incredibly tasty, especially the braised ox cheeks, the pike perch with plenty of perfectly steamed vegetables and the vegan dishes. The portions were generous. The fine desserts were also very attractively presented and everyone was thrilled.

I've known Muckensee since I was a child. I was born in 1969. We used to go there almost once a week. Now that I've moved to Trier, it was my first time back in about 15 years. Very satisfied. I was allowed to go all the way up because we had someone with us using a walker. The staff immediately offered help. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good service; we didn't have to wait long for drinks, food, or dessert. The food was very good. I can only recommend it, and I will definitely go there again.

Actually an excursion restaurant, but better. Central yet idyllic location, large parking lot, original greenhouse atmosphere. Very large side room, more sober, but serves its purpose. Friendly staff. Kitchen throughout, still good quality and attractive appearance, special requests are fulfilled. Wide and down-to-earth selection, but still fresh products due to the high volume of visitors. For example, the pike perch was fresher, the wine cooler and the vegetables were firmer than in many gourmet restaurants. You can also just come for coffee and cake. Conclusion: Recommended.

It's easy to come back here. Whether coffee and cake, dinner or events such as confirmation/baptism - consistently positive experiences. The service staff is always friendly and professional & you can always find something delicious on the menu.

Service was great, very friendly, quick and not intrusive. Ambience really wonderful in the middle of the jungle. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The fillet was very tough, a shame and unfortunately very salty. Spaetzle and the salad are great too. Unfortunately, Eierschecken Rhubarb was a normal cheesecake with rhubarb. Taste good but if you expect an egg check, disappointing

The food is really good here and the service is very friendly. It is a restaurant that also has a hotel and cafe attached to it. Lunch, ice cream sundae and espresso were delicious.

Restaurant is in an old greenhouse, food is very tasty, in the front area there are small seating niches for up to 5 - 6 people, there is also a large hall for weddings or similar, there is a large parking lot, unfortunately the last few meters to the entrance are very steep, recommended

After almost 50 years, I went to Café Muckensee again for lunch, there were Maultaschen with salad, others had käsespätzle, a very good portion!, the salad was fresh and very tasty, the staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was very good.

It's very close to the B29, so easy to reach but still very quiet there. There is a large parking lot. You can walk around the lake. He's very small. All in all: we will come back again.

Great food, very knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten-free. I spoke to several people and they knew straight away. I felt very safe. We were there on a Saturday evening with a small child. We still got a table without a reservation and were able to share it with a nice older gentleman. The price-performance ratio is perfect. Food was excellent and without fear of a gluten accident.

Top restaurant, excellent service, super delicious food! We celebrated our wedding here at the beginning of May and were more than completely satisfied. We were given very good advice in advance and our wishes were taken into account. It doesn't work, it didn't exist. The hall was festively decorated and the service was excellent (very attentive, always present without being intrusive). The menu was delicious, lovingly prepared and attractively presented. We and our guests felt very comfortable. We will come here often when the opportunity arises.

Ambiance by the lake was very nice, no lack of parking, good service, it took a while until we were served. We only had something to drink, we'll catch up on the food here, it's supposed to be very good. Otherwise there's nothing to complain about

Wir feierten Anfang Mai hier unsere Hochzeit und waren mehr als rundum zufrieden. Wir wurden im Vorfeld sehr gut beraten und auf unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Geht nicht, gab es nicht. der Saal war festlich hergerichtet, der Service excellent (sehr aufmerksam, immer präsent ohne aufdringlich zu sein). Das Menue war super lecker, liebevoll zubereitet und ansprechend angerichtet. Wir und unsere Gäste haben uns sehr wohlgfühlt. Wir werden bei Gelegenheit hier des Öfteren noch herkommen.

Great little restaurant and hotel on a small pond. The food was excellent. I loved the schnitzel with Spätzle, the wild garlic soup, the falafel salad, the heisse Inge, and the rhubarb spritzer. Typical excursion restaurant, large parking lot, several guest rooms, high throughput. practically located near the next main road exit. Established for many years. Huge crowds at weekends and on special days. Reservations often required months in advance. The newer, larger room in the rear annex is pleasantly bright, some with a nice view outside, but very noisy when there are a lot of guests. Very cramped in the main building with benches and lots of plants in between, musty with a greenhouse-like smell. Chef and waiters well organized, very friendly, attentive and quick. Mainly classic German dishes on the menu. Food mediocre, but okay, not a highlight. Not to be expected given the high throughput.

Heute waren wir diesem Restaurant, leider ist die Qualität der von uns gewählten Speisen nicht optimal. Leberspätzle mit Ei, selten so einen lieblosen Teller gesehen. Hier nur einen ⭐️ da ist deutlich im Geschmack und in der Zubereitung sowie beim anrichten Luft nach oben. Das zweite Gericht, ein Rostbraten mit Kräuterkruste… Der Rostbraten war tot gebraten.. Schade um das schöne Stück Fleisch..die Kräuterkruste war keine Kruste wohl eher eine nicht zu definierende Paste, schlecht gewürzt und von Kruste keine Spur… Ok, das Restaurant war voll, aber wenn man schon 1 Stunde auf sein Essen warten muss dann sollte es aber auch passen. Das Restaurant ist in einem Gewächshaus, hier ist wahrscheinlich durch die Pflanzen ein leicht säuerlicher Geruch zu spüren, wer‘s mag… das ganze Restaurant ist auch innen wie außen in die Jahre gekommen, von abgerissen Handläufen im Aussenbereich, wie auch die gesamte Außenanlage. Leider von meiner Seite heute keine Empfehlenswerte Adresse.

Selten wurden wir so freundlich und zuvorkommend begrüßt und an unseren wunschplatz im Wintergarten geführt. Trotz der vielen Gäste wurde das Essen in kurzer Zeit serviert.das Essen war ganz hervorragend und der service super.wir können das Lokal nur weiterempfehlen was wir auch tun werden. Auch unsere Bekannten waren begeistert vom super guten Essen und der freundlichen Bedienung Gerne kommen wir wieder. .
