Super fast service... friendly staff... We felt very comfortable...

We used to be regular customers, but this visit was definitely our last. We arrived around 8 p.m. The restaurant was busy, and the buffet reflected that: empty, unkempt, and of abysmal quality. The quality of the buffet was simply unacceptable. The so-called "fresh" section was particularly bad: meat was completely overloaded, sitting in its own juices, and smelled unpleasant as soon as the drawers were opened. There was no trace of freshness. The hot dishes were almost completely gone by that time and weren't being replenished. We spoke to three different employees about the numerous missing items. They either didn't want to understand or couldn't, and in any case, there was no response whatsoever. Despite our repeated complaints, we were charged the full price. That's simply outrageous. Anyone who accepts guests at this hour should be able to offer a complete and clean buffet. What was offered here had nothing to do with a decent buffet restaurant. Extremely disappointing and a sad example of how a once-respectable establishment has completely deteriorated. Not recommended.

In my opinion, this is the best Asian restaurant in the Westerstede area. It's a large restaurant with a standard buffet, good value for money, clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. It gets very crowded during peak hours, so a reservation is recommended. Parking is available, but spaces can be limited (also during peak hours).

The service was quick and friendly. Normally, the lunch buffet is smaller than the dinner buffet, but I have to say, I wonder what's in store when you go there in the evening. You can have various things fried, and everything was well-cooked and beautifully presented. The buffet selection leaves nothing to be desired, and everything is replenished at a reasonable rate. The food was hot, and the dessert selection was surprisingly extensive. The price of €15.90 is absolutely justified. We'll definitely be back!

Our first, but certainly not our last, visit. The restaurant isn't exactly cozy, but rather functionally furnished. Everything, however, exudes absolute cleanliness. Despite the light, smaller booths create a cozy atmosphere. The buffet selection leaves nothing to be desired. The raw dishes are grilled/fried accordingly, but you have to season them yourself. The prepared dishes taste very good and are extremely varied. The desserts also offer everything from fresh fruit, which you can cover yourself in chocolate at the chocolate fountain, to ice cream, puddings, and partisserie. The highlight, however, is the very fast and extremely friendly staff, who were assisted by a service robot as a gag. Greatly staged!!! Highly recommended.

This was our first time here because it was recommended. Even for a Monday, it was very busy. The buffet was very well-structured, and all the dishes were clearly labeled. The quality of the food was excellent and, above all, super fresh. Everyone will find something here and won't be disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive. Even the little ones are taken into account, with a play area that doesn't interfere with the meal in any way. The general cleanliness was also positive; we've seen much better restaurants. What we also really liked was the ambiance. It doesn't feel too cluttered, and the colors were very subtle and cozy. This was definitely not our last visit here.

We were there today for the dinner buffet. The buffet was extensive, but not overly elaborate, which we liked. Everything tasted very good! We particularly appreciated the very friendly waiter, who looked after us very attentively. The ambiance is very nice, not as kitschy and overstuffed as you might find in other Chinese restaurants. Can only say great and very tasty

The food was mediocre. The sushi my companion ate tasted like it was from the day before... But unlike me, she was lucky. After the first plate, I already felt stomach cramps. I strongly suspect the mushrooms, some of which tasted strange. This was followed by cold sweats, nausea, and my companion and I had to leave the restaurant immediately because I couldn't stand it any longer and I was afraid I was going to throw up. We were only in the restaurant for 20 minutes. The symptoms came on so quickly that I didn't even know what was happening. The restaurant itself was very cold, with no heating on... we had to keep our jackets on, like many others. The restaurant itself had good reviews, but unfortunately, I can't say the same about our visit. This was definitely our first and last visit.

The various dishes are beautifully presented. There's a wide selection for both fish and meat lovers, with a variety of vegetable side dishes available. Salads and dressings are also available. Desserts for those with a sweet tooth—like ice cream and fruit—are also available.

Today was our first visit to Mr. Sun in Westerstede. What can I say? We were absolutely thrilled. The food was super delicious, very fresh, and tasted amazing. I was especially impressed by the fantastic play area—trampoline, slide, ball pit, and much more. This meant we were able to dine in a restaurant in peace for the first time in 1.5 years. It was fantastic! We'd love to go back, highly recommended.

MSG booth, had 3 days of flying duck after the duck. Twice a week, a huge truck with the inscription "Best Asia Food" arrives from Wiesbaden, and easily a quarter ton of frozen food comes out.

Simply amazing! Super fresh, very plentiful, the duck is really crispy. A huge selection! They even have a freshly roasted lunchtime buffet, something you'd normally only find in the evening, and all for €15.90! The staff are also super friendly! We'll definitely be back!

A very pleasant restaurant where we are now regular guests. The food is ALWAYS top-fresh, there is a varied salad bar, a delicious sushi selection, the selection of menus is varied, the option of putting together plates with ingredients and having them freshly fried is great, and there are many types of meat and vegetables to choose from. The waiters are very attentive and always remove empty plates immediately. They are always very polite, friendly and helpful. The entire restaurant is very clean, all the employees are very attentive, even if their knowledge of German is not always sufficient. The sanitary facilities are always extremely clean. We have only had the best experiences and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience! (I can't fully understand the complaints here in some of the reviews and for me they have no basis whatsoever!!)

We were with you for the first time this evening and I am very impressed 🤩 the ingredients were all fresh and it tasted great. The freshly fried everything was spot on and tender (kangaroo, beef and fish) perfect! Service at our table was very nice and helpful. The buffet selection was completely sufficient. Kudos to the salad bar! We had the offer including drinks, with 2 wines for 34 euros per person. Price-performance ratio was completely fine! We will definitely come back even though we have to drive almost an hour 😊

Good evening, we were recently in this restaurant, what can I say, just one thing: avoid it. Let's start with the food: At first glance everything looks quite edible, but when you try it you realize that everything has been processed several times and is not fresh. The desserts are unique, the tiramisu is complete crap, the jelly is very viscous and hard, the fruit is a separate topic and you should stay away from it. Service: Girls from Ukraine who don't speak German try to put on a smile but are reluctant to approach the tables. There is a girl who seems to know German, a very unpleasant person, there is rudeness in her voice, as if we owe her something. Well, you know what the atmosphere is like. It's unpleasant to be in such a restaurant. Anyone considering this restaurant should not transfer any money, stay away!!!! Also the poor Ukrainians who work for €1500 and do dirty work and don't even get a tip and only one waitress takes everything. Such a trek shop only takes advantage of people from poor countries

Fantastic food & great ambience! Last night I went to Mr. Sun in Westerstede with a business partner and today with my husband and we were absolutely thrilled! The restaurant offers a wide range of Chinese and Mongolian specialties that are freshly prepared and of excellent quality. The Mongolian buffet in particular is a real highlight - fresh ingredients that are prepared straight away! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant – modern, stylish and cozy. A big compliment also goes to the friendly and attentive staff. Despite the restaurant being busy, we were served quickly and warmly. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely fair - it's worth every cent for the quality and variety of the buffet. Conclusion: If you are looking for a first-class Chinese-Mongolian restaurant in Westerstede, you should definitely visit Mr. Sun! We'll definitely be back!

Hello, yesterday we visited your restaurant for the first time. We love this type of restaurant, but this establishment did not evoke very pleasant emotions. Unpleasant waiters. It seems that they do not know what a smile is. The freshness of the fruit is not impressive. The desserts were such that you could hammer nails in them, when I took sauce from the buffet, a fly drowned in it. We do not recommend this establishment.

Unfortunately, the price and performance don't match up for me.

We were there recently on a Friday evening. It was well attended but there were still places available. We decided on the buffet for €22.90 per person. Based on some reviews, we were skeptical as to whether the price-performance ratio was justified. But we agreed throughout. The quality of the food was very good and the taste was exceptionally good. The selection was also great. Scallops, crayfish, lamb chops and and and... Not to mention the usual dishes. The staff was extremely accommodating, polite and incredibly friendly. The robo waiter who brings specialties to the table is also fun. Yes, they really have a robot. A note to right-wing voters: The restaurant is largely run by people with a migrant background. If they are all deported, the restaurant will probably close. For me it was a wonderful experience because our two waitresses really tried to serve us and they obviously enjoyed the job despite the language barrier. So a big thank you from me to everyone who made it possible for us to have a wonderful evening at MrSun. It was really nice!

Everything was typical Asian, but at the lower end of quality. No revelation in terms of taste. Meat quite fatty. Partly heavily oversalted. Little choice for vegetarians. Ambience without any charm. Quite loud. More of a canteen than a restaurant... No recommendation from me. Prices ok.

After having a bad experience two months ago, we went back and the quality has improved. The choice of dessert is more limited, and for people who are lactose intolerant there is unfortunately no alternative to coffee, i.e. no oat milk, for example. But in terms of taste, the buffet as such is better, although it does not come close to the quality that this restaurant had in the first year of its existence.

It was very good here, but unfortunately the acoustics are terrible. At times it was not possible to have a conversation.
